A Study on the Application Direction of Finite Element Analysis in the Field of Packaging through Research Trend Analysis in Korea (국내 연구 동향 분석을 통한 포장분야에서 유한요소해석의 적용 방향에 관한 고찰)

  • Proper packaging design can meet both the environmental and economic aspects of packaging materials by reducing the use of packaging materials, waste generation, material costs, and logistics costs. Finite element analysis(FEM) is used as a useful tool in various fields such as structural analysis, heat transfer, fluid motion, and electromagnetic field, but its application in the field of packaging is still insufficient. Therefore, the application of FEM to the field of packaging can save the cost and time in the future research because it is possible to design the package by computer simulation, and it is possible to reduce the packaging waste and logistics cost through proper packaging design. Therefore, this study investigated the FEM papers published in Korea for the purpose of helping research design using FEM program in the field of packaging in the future. In this paper, we analyzed the 29 papers that were directly related to the analysis of FEM papers published in domestic journals from 1991 to 2017. As a result, we analyzed the research topic, FEM program, and analysis method using each paper, and presented the direction that can be applied in future packaging field. When the FEM is applied to the packaging field, it is possible to change the structure and reduce the thickness through the stress and vibration analysis applied to the packaging material, thereby reducing the cost by improving the mechanical strength and reducing the amount of the packaging material. Therefore, in the field of packaging research in the future, if the FEM is performed together, economical and reasonable packaging design will be possible.

Oxygen Desaturation during Nutritive Sucking in Premature Infants with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia : Its Effect on Feeding and Growth until 4 Months of Corrected Age (기관지폐 형성이상 미숙아의 젖병수유 시 저산소증: 생후 4개월까지 수유상태 및 성장에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose : This study examined the occurrence of oxygen desaturation events during nutritive sucking in premature infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and its effects on feeding and growth outcomes until 4 months of corrected age (CA). Methods : Thirty-four premature infants with BPD free from major cardiac, gastrointestinal, respiratory anomalies were included. By reviewing medical records, clinical characteristics, feeding conditions at 36 weeks of postmenstrual age (PMA), we focused on oxygen desaturation, and short-term outcomes in 14 infants with no or mild desaturation (group A) and in 20 infants with moderate or severe desaturation (group B). Results : Group B had lower birth weight and shorter gestational age at birth, longer duration of hospitalization, was discharged at higher weeks of PMA, and needed ventilatory assist and oxygen supplementation longer than group A (P<0.05). Group B started nutritive sucking later, with a greater decrease in $SpO_2$ during sucking, being more indicative of feeding problems at 40 weeks of PMA, but not at 4 months of CA. Percent of infant needing oxygen supplementation and percent of infants with growth failure were not different between groups at 40 weeks of PMA and 4 months of CA. Body weight and growth velocity differences noted at 40 weeks of PMA became insignificant at 4 months of CA. Conclusion : The severity of desaturation during nutritive sucking in premature infants with BPD influenced the infant's feeding and growth at 40 weeks of PMA. However, it disappeared at 4 months of CA.

Comparative Volume Measuring Methods According to the Tumor Characters in PET/CT (PET/CT 검사에서 종양의 특성에 따른 체적 측정 방법 비교)

  • Purpose Recent retrospective studies are being actively conducted to analyze the survival of patients with SUVmax, MTV, TLG, such as information from a variety of PET originating. However, there is no clear way is difficult to accurately measure the volume of the tumor may be the difference between the caster is raised. In this study, to evaluate compare the volume measuring methods according to the characteristics of the tumor. Materials and Methods 18F-saline to fill the NEMA IEC Body Phantom insert the volume of balance and imbalance in phantom were acquired to the Biograph truepoint 40 (Siemens medical system, Germany) PET/CT scanner. The ratio of the volume and Background was acquired as 3.0, 5.0, 8.0, 18, 40. Clinical patients were randomly selected 120 people in staging patients with cancer of the digestive system from the year 2010 until the year 2014. Measurement methods were used a 40% threshold, 50% threshold and gradient segmentation technique, i.e. PET EDGE. Five years of experience of the two radio-technologist and one doctor was measured by repeated three times. Analysis methods were Intraclass correlation coefficient and Pearson correlation. Results In Phantoms, the 40% threshold method gave the best concordance between measured and actual volumes (r = 0.992, 0.997). In clinical patient outcome agreement between observers EDGE it is as high as 0.999 (CI: 0.998-0.999). And there were no statistical significance of the difference between the measurements (P = 0.620). 40% threshold method showed the best correlation between the measurements (r = 0.953). Increasing the ratio of tumor to background decreased the influence of a measuring method. Conclusion How to measure volume of the tumor in the patient was clinically most useful is 50% and the lowest impact on the characteristics of the tumor. Therefore, to reduce the background of the patients in PET/CT scan, it should be required research and effort.

A Study on the Reduction of Kidney Uptake of 18F-FDG due to the Water Intake at the Time of Additional Examination in the PET/CT scan (PET/CT 검사에서 추가 검사 시 수분섭취에 따른 18F-FDG의 신장 섭취 감소에 대한 고찰)

  • Purpose By ingestion of 18F-FDG of kidney of PET/CT during the inspection, if additional examination is required, depending on whether you want to water intake, we want to confirm a change in the rate of decrease of F-18 FDG of the kidney. Materials and Methods The 80 patients without kidney disease were performed PET/CT examination. Device was analyzed after setting the kidney to a three-dimensional region of interest. In patients require additional examination, and inspection after 30 minutes, a PET/CT torso examination after the water of the 500 cc ingested at a time. After the addition of both water intake group and no hydration group of kidney of SUV, it was compared with PET/CT torso scan. Results High and low of the kidney SUV did not show a significant difference in the rate of decrease. Reduction rates of background (BKG) of additional examination was 2.8% and reduction rates of SUV was 49.7% (Hydration) : -6.8% (No hydration), so did show a significant difference. In the image blind test, the average point score of hydration and no hydration was 34.25 : 17.25. Conclusion An undercurrent of 18F-FDG in the kidney at the time of torso examination, it was confirmed that the reduction rate after the addition of water intake is high. It is considered that can be expected to improve the quality of an image due to a decrease in elongation through the kidneys examination with additional fluid intake as needed intake.

Usefulness of the Salivagram for the Diagnosis of Brain Lesions in Patients with Aspiration Pneumonia (뇌병변 환자에서 흡인성 폐렴 진단을 위한 Salivagram의 유용성)

  • Purpose: Bed, living a long time is required in adult patients with brain lesions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson's disease, causing pneumonia and respiratory diseases may be due to aspiration of food or saliva. In patients with recurrent pneumonia or pulmonary symptoms, there is a need to determine the possibility of pulmonary aspiration due to aspiration of saliva. Materials and Methods: Saliva due to aspiration pneumonia diagnosis in patients with brain lesions request for inspection to the Department of Nuclear Medicine, 10 patients (male 6, female 4) were included in this study. Patients were fasted before the test, $^{99m}Tc_{O4}$ 185 MBq (5 mCi) of less than 1 mL of solution was administered in the oral cavity. Administration and 20 minutes of dynamic imaging acquisition, and immediately after that the static images were acquired. Delayed scan after 2-4 hours if necessary. Results: Positivity rate of all 10 patients was 60%. In 4 patients showed positive reactions after the administration of oral cavity in a 20-minute dynamic imaging were able to confirm whether the aspiration. In the remaining 2 patients, four hours of additional delay tests were able to confirm whether the aspiration. Conclusion: Does not require changes in patient posture compared to the other checks that can be diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. A simple test and takes less time. Therefore be useful in providing information for the diagnosis and treatment modality.

Survey of Diease and Weed Control in Organic and Free-pesticide Cultivation of Chunnam Area 'Ssam' Vegegable (전남지역 쌈채류 무농약.유기재배농가의 잡초, 병해충관리 실태분석)

  • For developing standard method for diease, pest and weed control in environmental friendly 'Ssam' vegetable cultivation, this study was carried out to investigating agriculture material use in organic agriculture and no pesticide cultivation for lettuce, kale, leafy perilla and korean cabbage. The 28.6% of investigated farmer carried out seed sterilization by seed selection with salt solution and soaking in chitosan that not validated. For raising seedling periods, the 55.6% of farmer did not use environmental-friendly agriculture material for, diease control and the 50% of farmer used one time for. pest control. Therefore, the control of disease and pest could be achieved with one or two times use of environmental-friendly agriculture material. Seed sterilization was carried out by soil solar sterilization, one time per year in 71.4% of farmer. Weed was controled by black PE film for weed germination of furrow in many farmer, by man-power weeding for weed of ridge in 85% of farmer and by machine weeding and mulching in some farmer. During cultivation period, the major pest were Aphis gossypii in lettuce, Plutella xylostella in kale, Plutella xylostella and Phyllotreta striolata (Fabricius) in korean cabbage and Pyrausta panopealis (Walke) in feat perilla. The many farmers used environ-mental-friendly agriculture material for control of pest over 10 times for spring season, and more used sold materials in market than home-made materials. In result, it needs to develop standardized method and validate cultivation methods for control of disease and pest, and seed sterilization treatment environmental-friendly 'Ssam' vegetable.

Antimicrobial Activity of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge Extract and Its Effects on Quality Characteristics in Sulgidduk (단삼 추출물의 향균 활성 및 첨가 설기떡의 품질 특성)

  • In this study, Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge(Danshen) powder was extracted with ethanol, and its antimicrobial activity was investigated. The ethanol extract of the Danshen had antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus. The inhibition zones of the Danshen extract(3 mg/disc) against B. subtilis, E. coli and S. aureus were 13, 12 and 8.5 mm, respectively. To test the food preservation effect of Danshen and determine the optimal ratio of the Danshen extract in a formulation, Sulgidduk samples were prepared with substitutions of 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1% Danshen extract, and then their quality characteristics were investigated over 4 days of storage. According to the results, total cell counts showed a decreasing trend with an increasing amount of added Danshen extract. Moisture contents were not significantly different among the Sulgidduk samples. As the content of Danshen extract increased, the L-values of samples decreased and the a- and b- values increased. For the textural characteristics, the hardness, gumminess, and chewiness of the Sulgidduk samples decreased as the amount of Danshen extract increased; however, they increased with the progression of storage time. In the sensory evaluation, the control group had significantly higher scores for color, flavor and after-taste as compared to the Danshen extract-added groups. With increasing Danshen extract contents, flavor and overall acceptability decreased, while Danshen flavor, bitterness and off-flavor increased. Chewiness was not significantly different among the samples. In conclusion, the results indicate that substituting 0.5% Danshen extract in Sulgidduk is optimal for quality and provides a product with reasonably high overall acceptability.

Noodle- Making Properties of Domestic Wheats Cultivars (국내산 밀의 제면 적성에 관한 연구)

  • Seven domestic wheat cultivars, Suwon 261, Suwon 265, Eunpa, Kobun, Alchan, Olgru, and Kumgang, and a standard wheat, ASW(Australian Standard White Wheat), were compared in noodle-making properties. The ash contents of domestic wheats and flours were 0.1-0.3% higher than that of ASW. Therefore, domestic wheats required the control of ash contents during milling process. The protein contents which suggest the flour gluten content were 10.32, 11.3, and 9.57% in Suwon 261, Suwon 265, and Kumgang cultivars, respectively. Valorimeter values of Eunpa, Olgru, and Kumgang which indicate the dough formation time and stability were similar to that of ASW. Resistance rate of domestic wheats was lower than that of ASW. Maximum viscosity in Amylograph for Eunpa, Olgru, and Kumgang were in the range of 500-800BU, which were suitable for making noodles. Increase in weight and volume of Olgru noodle was negatively correlated with protein content. Turbidity was not positively correlated with weight and volume increase, but domestic cultivars except Suwon 265 and Eunpa showed a similar turbidity with ASW. The mechanical properties of wet and dry noodles were evaluated by TPA test before and after cooking. Springiness and cohesiveness of wet noodles increased by cooking, and the domestic cultivars showed higher values than ASW. Springiness and cohesiveness of dry noodle were not increased by cooking in any cultivars. Gumminess, chewiness and hardness of domestic wheat cultivars showed higher values than that of ASW. In the tensile test, wet noodles showed no difference between domestic cultivars and ASW. But dry noodles of domestic wheat cultivars showed higher values than ASW. In the color test for lightness, redness and yellowness, there were no differences between flour and dough of domestic wheat cultivars and ASW. In the sensory evaluation, Kumgang wheat cultivar was the most preferred among the wet and dry noodles of other domestic wheat cultivars and ASW. These results suggested Kumgang wheat cultivar to be a practical wheat variety for noodle-making.

Sensory and Physical Characteristics of Hwajeun Depended on the Various Levels of Oil Amounts and frying Time (기름의 양과 지지는 시간에 따른 화전의 관능적 및 물리적 특성)

  • The aim of this study was to standardize the various methods and recipes of Hwajeun (glutinous rice pancake with flower) appeared in the literature. For this purpose, the effects on the sensory and rheological characteristics of Hwajeun in terms of the various levels of oil and frying times were investigated. This experiment consisted of a sensory evaluation in terms of the acceptance (color, flavor, oily feeling, softness, chewiness, adhesiveness, taste and overall preference) and objective evaluation performed by a texture analyzer, a color difference meter and measurements of the water content and oil absorption. The moisture content of the treatments as a function of the frying time, S7, showed a significantly(p<0.01) low value, and the oil absorption of the Hwajeun made with different frying times increased in proportion to the increment of the frying time(p<0.001). In terms of color, the b value of the Hwajeun made with 16g oil for frying showed a higher value than the others. In the two bite compression test, the hardness of the Hwajeun made with 4g oil for frying showed a significantly (p<0.001) high value among the S2 and S3 samples. As a result of the sensory evaluation for the Hwajeun made with various amounts of oil and frying times, the Hwajeun made with 16g oil for frying and a 2 min frying time for each side (S6) was the most preferred in terms of the softness, chewiness, taste and overall preference of the sensory evaluation

Quality Characteristics of Jeung-Pyun with Tapioca Flour (타피오카 분말을 첨가한 증편의 품질특성)

  • This study was performed to determine the quality characteristics of Jeung-Pyun with added tapioca flour. With increasing tapioca flour content, the moisture content of the product was decreased. The addition of tapioca flour increased the volume and symmetry compared to the control with no tapioca flour. The highest uniformity was shown by the 10% added group, but the differences were not significant. In the Hunter's value, the lightness of the control was higher than that of the group with added tapioca flour. Whereas the reverse was the case for the yellowness. With increasing tapioca flour content, the springiness, gumminess, cohesiveness, and chewiness of Jeung-Pyun were increased, and the hardness increased. In sensory evaluation cell uniformity and chewiness were the highest in the 20% added group. The hardness of the sense examination increasing with increasing tapioca floor content. The overall quality of Jeung-Pyun was the lowest in the 30% added group.
