The Effects of Webpage Background and Store Brand on Consumers' Responses in Online Shopping (온라인 쇼핑에서 웹페이지 배경과 브랜드가 소비자 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 웹페이지 배경과 브랜드가 소비자의 감정과 점포이미지에 미치는 영향을 조사하는데 있으며, 또한 소비자의 감정과 점포이미지가 소비자 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 조사하는데 있다. 본 연구는 가상의 웹싸이트를 활용하여 2 (웹페이지 배경: 유 vs. 무) $\times$ 2 (브랜드: 인지도 고 vs. 저) 집단간 실험설계를 하였다. 382명의 응답이 가설검증을 위한 연구결과 분석에 사용되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면, 웹페이지 배경이 소비자의 긍정적 감정과 점포이미지에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 브랜드의 경우 인지도가 점포이미지에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 구조방정식 모형의 유의미한 결과를 살펴보면, 긍정적 감정이 점포이미지에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 점포이미지가 소비자 행동에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이론적 측면에서 온라인 환경에 대한 연구분야에 공헌하였으며, 마케팅적 시사점을 제시하였다.

Evaluating Impressions of Robots According to the Robot's Embodiment Level and Response Speed (로봇의 외형 구체화 정도 및 반응속도에 따른 로봇 인상 평가)

  • Nowadays, as many robots are developed for desktop, users interact with the robots based on speech. However, due to technical limitations related to speech-based interaction, an alternative is needed. We designed this research to design a robot that interacts with the user by using unconditional reflection of biological signals. In order to apply bio-signals to robots more effectively, we evaluated the robots' overall service evaluation, perceived intelligence, appropriateness, trustworthy, and sociability according to the degree of the robot's embodiment level and the response speed of the robot. The result showed that in terms of intelligence and appropriateness, 3D robot with higher embodiment level was more positively evaluated than 2D robot with lower embodiment level. Also, the robot with faster response rate was evaluated more favorably in overall service evaluation, intelligence, appropriateness, trustworthy, and sociability than the robot with slower response rate. In addition, in service evaluation, trustworthy, and sociability, there were interaction effects according to the robot's embodiment level and the response speed.

A Study on EEG-based RT Detection During a Yes/No Cognitive Decision Task (인지적 긍정/부정 선택과제 수행 시 뇌파를 이용한 반응시간의 감지)

  • 본 논문에서는 인지적 긍정/부정 선택 과제의 수행 시 뇌파를 이용하여 피험자의 반응시간 RT를 감지하는 방법에 관하여 기술한다. 실험 Task에서 피험자는 시각적 자극에 대한 반응, 문제의 해석, 손 움직임의 조절, 손동작 등과 같은 작업을 수행한다. 이와 같은 상황에서의 피험자의 정신상태의 변화를 모델링하고, 선택시간 ST를 감지하여 피험자의 반응시간 RT를 예측한다. ST를 감지하기 위하여 측정한 뇌파로부터 $\alpha$, $\beta$, ${\gamma}$파를 분리하고, 4쌍의 전극들로부터 3가지의 특징들을 추출한다. 추출한 특징들을 분석하여 각 피험자별로 나타나는 상세 규칙과 공통적인 특성인 일반 규칙들을 설정하고 이들을 적용한다. 4명의 피험자를 대상으로 평균 81%의 ST 감지 성공률을 보이고, ST 감지 이후 약 0.73초에서 RT가 나타나는 것을 보인다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 기존의 인지적인 정신상태 판별을 위한 방법들이나 왼손/오른손 동작구분 방법들과 결합하여 사용할 경우 BCI를 위한 기반 기술로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

Differential effects of the valenced content and the interaction with pacing on information processing while watching video clips (영상물 시청에 발현된 감성 유인가의 차별적 영향과 편집속도와의 상호작용)

  • This study investigates differential impacts of the positive and negative content and the interaction with pacing, as a structural feature, on information processing while watching televised video clips with moderately intensive emotional tone. College participants watched six positive messages and six negative video clips lasting approximately 60 seconds. Heart rate was used to index attention and skin conductance was used to measure arousal. After all of the stimuli were shown, the participants performed the free recall questionnaire. The result demonstrates, first, positivity superiority on attention in which participants' heart rates were slower during positive content compared to during negative content. Secondly, negativity superiority was shown on free recall memory as participants remembered positive content better than did negative content. The result also manifests the interaction of emotional valence and pacing as the effects of pacing were less for the negatively emotional content compared to those for the positively emotional content. It is suggested that future studies should examine further about the differential and independent functions of positive and negative contents on information processing and the potential interaction with formal features.

A Lesson Plan and Class Effect of Audiovisual Translation Class (영상번역 수업 지도안과 수업 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to prove the students' understanding of audiovisual translation and the class effect by using the lesson plan that can efficiently teach the audiovisual translation class, which is one of the major elective courses at S University. After taking the course, a questionnaire was surveyed and the results were analyzed. The response and satisfaction with the content of the class was positive and very high, and it was confirmed that the background knowledge of the movie was especially helpful for translation practice. The effect of the class was focused on translating subtitles, and only the abbreviated part of the response to the questionnaire was expressed in a table, and the rest was expressed descriptively. Specifically, the response rate for abbreviations, pronouns, titles suitable for personal relationships, putting subjects and predicates close together were the most positive, followed by natural expressions, sign writing, handling of honorifics and informal words, attaching subject and predicates closer, translating them in reverse, and converting units.

  • In previous studies, stress in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) work environment was focused on lowering work performance by negatively affecting the emotions of organizational members. In the current corona pandemic era, as the ratio of organizational members working from home in a smart environment increases, the need for research on the effects of positive and negative stress on work performance is being raised. Accordingly, by applying the Affective Event Theory to the emotional effects of stress on employees' emotional responses, the effects on work performance were analyzed by dividing them into positive and negative emotions. Also, the effect of smart work on work performance was analyzed. This survey was commissioned by a research company and analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0 tool. Therefore, based on the research results, it was suggested that stress does not only negatively affect the emotions of employees, but that the challenge stress that appears in the mind to achieve a goal induces positive emotions in the employees' emotions and helps to improve work performance.

  • Aesthetics undertakes important roll in design as a competitive factor. The importance of aesthetics can be found in experimental aesthetics, Gestalt psychology and design related literatures. These literatures suggest that, besides the importance of aesthetics, many other aesthetic factors would affect consumer reaction(recognition, emotional reaction, meaning), but the study is still in insufficient condition. Hense, this study tries to give a guideline -'how to design symbols'based on the apprehension of what kind of design is well recognized(correct recognition), gives positive emotional reaction(affect) to customers, and moreover, what sort of aesthetic factors affect these reactions by analyzing existing symbol designs.

Dance Attitude Differences between Gender, Majors, and Grades (무용전공 대학생들의 무용 태도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the dance attitude differences between gender, majors, and grades. Attitudes-towards-dance inventory(Jadranka et al., 2004) which covered affective, cognitive, and action aspects of attitudes, as well as to reflect, in a similar number of items, both the positive and negative attitude towards dance was used to investigate dance attitude for 483 dancers who are collegian. Male students were more positive attitude in the affective area among dance attitudes than female students(p<.05). Dancers who major practical dances revealed more positive attitude in the affective area than dancers majoring ballet and Korean treditional dance(p<.05). In addition, freshmen have a more positive dance attitude in the affective area compared with seniors. It was suggested that more subjects should be studied from considering major, local university as future study.

  • 컴퓨터가 우리의 일상적 환경으로 스며드는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 인터페이스는 '컨텍스트 인식'과 더불어 이용자들과의 '긍정적인 사회적 관계'를 형성할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이 두 가지의 관점을 충족시킬 수 있는 인터페이스 에이전트의 유형으로 '자기를 노출하는 에이전트'를 제안하고, 에이전트의 자기노출에 대한 사용자의 사회적 반응을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 1) 에이전트로부터 친밀성이 높은 노출을 받은 피험자들은 더 깊은 자기노출을, 많은 양의 자기노출을 받은 피험자들은 더 많은 양의 자기노출을 하였다. 2) 에이전트 자기노출의 깊이가 깊을수록 에이전트에 대한 호감과 신뢰는 감소하였다. 3) 피험자들은 처음 만난 자리에서 극히 개인적인 노출을 하는 에이전트보다는 일반적인 노출을 하는 에이전트와 장기적으로 더 친밀해질 것이라고 예측하였다. 이러한 결과는 컨텍스트를 인식하는 인터페이스 에이전트로 자기노출 에이전트를 이용할 경우 사용자의 심리적 구조를 파악하는데 효과적임을 보여주며, 단기적인 사용자 정보의 추출보다는 장기적 관점에서 호감과 신뢰를 쌓을 수 있는 이용자와 에이전트의 사회적 관계 달성이 우선적으로 고려되어야 함을 시사한다.

A Study on Consumers' Responses to Shopping Chatbot: The Effects of Agent and Message Types (쇼핑 챗봇에 대한 소비자 반응 연구: 에이전트와 메시지 유형 효과를 중심으로)

  • As AI technology develops, its application has been extended to diverse fields. In particular, AI-enabled Chatbot services have garnered growing attention and such services are more important as a tool of communication in mobile shopping. However, research on chatbots is in its early stage and the understanding of chatbots in the context of mobile commerce is very limited. The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate consumer responses to a shopping chatbot with a focus on the effects of chatbot agent types and message types. Specifically, a $2{\times}2$ between-subjects experimental design, with the agent type (secretary/friend) and the message type (factual/evaluative) as the independent variables, was employed. The results show that although main effects of chatbot agent and message types are not found, interaction effects between chatbot agents and message types on consumer responses are significant. Specifically, when the agent type was a secretary, consumer responses to product recommendation with a factual message were more positive. On the other hand, in the case of the friend agent, the evaluative message led to more positive responses. The findings suggest that communication elements are important in the understanding of consumer responses to chatbots in mobile shopping and effective strategies for utilizing chatbots for mobile commerce should be considered.
