  • 2015년 대한민국을 관통하는 키워드 중 하나가 O2O (Online to Offline)이다. 대기업과 중소기업까지 O2O를 전면에 내세우고 새로운 비즈니스를 모색하는 기업들이 확대되고 있다. O2O 비즈니스 기업들의 업종도 모바일 메신저, 포털을 비롯한 인터넷 사업자, 통신사업자, 모바일 기기 제조사, 전자상거래 기업과 같은 정보통신기술(ICT) 관련 기업부터 유통기업까지 다양하다. 본 연구를 위하여 2014.5~2015.5 1년 간 여자대학생 92명의 '모바일 쇼핑 금융서비스 이용 현황' 조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 상품정보검색(96.7%), 구매(88%), 주문 배송(77.2%), 할인 프로모션정보(62%) 등 모바일 쇼핑을 하였고, 모바일금융 서비스로는 하루에 1번정도 (20.4%), 월1~3회(20.4%), 1주 3~4회(16.3%), 이용 안하는 경우(24.5%)로 조사 되었다. 모바일 금융서비스를 이용하지 못하는 이유로는 개인정보보안 및 해킹우려(39%), 이용/결제 과정의 불편함(25.8%) 등 이었으며, 국내 O2O 플랫폼이 제공하는 서비스는 쇼핑부터 결제까지 완결적인 구조로 보완할 부분이 필수적이다.

A Case Study of the Deferred Exposure by Real Estate Finance Types: Focusing on the Distortion of Loan and the Overestimation of Value (부동산금융 유형별 익스포저 이연 사례 연구: Loan의 왜곡과 Value의 과대평가 문제를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the risks to financial institutions in terms of expanding potential risks due to the deferral of exposure, by identifying the structures in which real estate finance and financial institutions affect real estate prices at low interest rates. To this end, real estate financing is categorized according to the method of financing and the type of value measurement from a risk management perspective and analyzed for each case. As a result of analysis, in the case of profitable real estate, the rate of real estate is increased by directly decreasing the cap rate and directly affecting the fair value calculation method. In the case of non-profitable real estate, the real estate price is increased by expanding the leverage width of investors or financial institutions. Through the analysis of this case, the continuous increase in real estate prices over the past 10 years has the potential to prevent financial institutions from losing under the circumstances such as the growth of real estate finance due to the advancement of the financial market and the continued low interest rate trend that has continued for 10 years. It is judged that the deferred delay is part of the cause, which leads to an increase in the risk to financial institutions.

  • Open banking, the global trend of the financial industry, is the driving force behind various innovations in the financial market in the future. The right policy direction and detailed tasks are important for triggering the differentiation and reunion of the financial industry. The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the background of open banking, domestic and international trends, and Korea's open banking policy. The policy directions and tasks for successful settlement and activation of open banking system are carefully suggested. Open banking is a policy to allow third party provider(TPP) access to bank accounts and open payment functions under the explicit consent of the customer. The opening of the open banking era is expected to begin competition and cooperation between banks and fintech companies in earnest, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the financial industry and contributing to the utility of financial consumers. To this end, policymakers should make every effort to advance open-ended financial settlement infrastructure, open banking legal grounds, and minimize side effects such as customer data leakage and poor financial system stability. Banks and fintech companies will need to focus on scattered customer financial information on a single platform and develop it into a convergence and discrimination of true financial services.

A Study on Improvement of the KONEX, the Emerging Exchange for SMEs and Startups (코넥스(KONEX)시장의 재도약을 위한 제도개선 연구)

  • This study proposes policy recommendations for the Korea New Exchange ("KONEX"), which is a financial platform for SMEs and startups that relied on indirect and policy financing in the past. SMEs and venture firms with limited human and physical listing resources can grow through market incubation, and venture capitalists expect an early exit or return on investment. However, the lack of liquidity and sluggish trading volume have weakened the function of the market. Despite prior policy efforts, the number of newly listed companies has decreased while listing demand for KOSDAQ and K-OTC has increased. This study aims to suggest short- and long-term improvements in regulations and throughout the KONEX firms' listing life cycle. First, the minimum deposit requirement on individual investors should be abolished to increase the number of investors. Second, information disclosure should be conducted by firms so that the nominated advisor can focus on discovering and supporting new listed companies. Third, in order to increase trading volume, the 5% dispersion rule should be changed to 25% dispersion incentive principle. Fourth, a new track without profit condition in expedited transfer listing should be introduced because the KOSDAQ relaxes the profit realization requirements for listing. Lastly, transfer listing without additional review for firms that fulfill ownership dispersion, information disclosure, and investor protection will strengthen the incubating role of the KONEX.

  • Today, communication trend of financial brand has changed fast with more foreign financial brand's introduction, emerging financial brands through the openness. With the trend of changing, companies are introducing various marketing methods to differentiate its brand image. And color marketing becomes an important tool for the differentiation. However, except a few brands, brand color which expresses management character of a company is different from the customer's preferred color which is based on investors' investment tendency. This may be related to the brand Image which is final goal of communication. Therefore, this study suggests effective communication method between company and customers by analyzing preferred color of customers by their investment tendency and comparison analysis security firms' color marketing strategy. As a result, it was found that Roland Barthes symbolic meaning of colors is different from the symbolic meaning of the groups of investor tendency. For example, I assumed that aggressive investors preferred strong color like red or orange, but the survey result was far from my assumption. I hope this study can be a good foundation for logical and scientific marketing in communication between security companies and customers in more open market with introduction to the Capital Market Consolidation Act.

The Effects of Investment Opportunities and External Financing on Firms' Capital Investments (투자기회 및 외부금융의존도가 기업의 자본투자에 미치는 영향)

  • We examine the effects of investment opportunities, external financing, and cost of debts on the firms' capital investments. The empirical findings indicate that : (1) the firms' investment opportunities positively stimulates corporate capital investments but the effects of investment opportunities on the firms' capital investments decrease as the external financing and cost of debts increase ; (2) the firms' investment opportunities are positively correlated with firms' capital investments but the effects of external financing on the firms' capital investments decrease as cost of debts increase; (3) cost of debts is negatively associated with firms' capital investments and especially in the KOSPI firms, the effects of investment opportunities on the firms' capital investments decrease as cost of debts increase. Our findings suggest that managers' views be different from the policy maker's view and the more firms' internal factors of capital investments be found in the future.

  • UK "FSMA" provides a safe harbour for members of professions, which are lawyers, accountants, and actuaries in their provision of certain financial services, despite the general prohibition, the professions carry on exempt regulated activities. In particular, DPBs(designated professional bodies), which professional bodies are designated by the Treasury, must have rules and have to supervise and regulate their members those activities by rules. Also, the FSA must keep itself informed about the role of DPBs, and may make directions concerning the safe harbour in relation to particular classes of persons of different descriptions of regulated activities. On the other hand, Korea "FSCMA" explicitly except provision of financial services by professions to investment adviser without regard to mainstream financial services activities or incidental activities. Under "FSMA", if the professions conduct provision of financial services as mainstream activities, they must be authorized person and even if their activities is incidental, they have to comply with exemption sections. Therefore, there is a need of prepare the legal safeguards about provision of financial services by professions for the investor protection.

  • 본 연구(硏究)는 선물거래의 선진국이라고 할 수 있는 미국(美國), 영국(英國), 일본(日本)등을 대상으로 선물계약(先物契約)의 증거금변경(證據金變更)이 시장활동(市場活動) 즉 거래량(去來量), 미결제포지션(open interest), 가격변동성(價格變動性)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 만기별(滿期別)로 구분하고 또한 시계열(時系列) 현상(現狀)을 제거한 후 비교분석(比較分析)함으로써 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 우리나라가 주가지수선물을 도입하는데 있어서 차후의 증거금관리(證據金管理)에 대한 하나의 정책적(政策的) 방향(方向)을 제시(提示)하고자 하였다. 연구결과(硏究結果)를 요약(要約)하면 증거금(證據金)은 시장활동(市場活動)인 거래량(去來量)과 선물계약(先物契約)의 수요(需要) 즉 미결제포지션에는 상당한 영향(影響)을 미치나 가격변동(價格變動)에 미치는 영향은 미약하며 그러한 효과는 비교적 단기적(短期的)인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 아울러 그러한 효과는 국가간(國家間) 및 상품간(商品間)에 큰 차이 없이 거의 공통적(共通的)인 현상(現狀)임이 밝혀졌다. 구체적으로 본 연구가 시사하는 바는 연구결과(硏究結果) 중 증거금변경(證據金變更)에 따른 미결제포지션의 움직임을 거래량(去來量)과 연관(聯關)시켜 생각해 볼 때 증거금인하시(證據金引下時) 단기에 거래량이 유의적으로 증가하면서 동시에 미결제포지션이 유의적으로 증가하는 것으로 보아 증가되는 많은 거래량은 선물시장 참여자들이 새로운 포지션을 취하기 때문인 것으로 보여진다. 이러한 사실은 거래소가 증거금인하(證據金引下)를 통하여 잠재적인 시장참여자들의 비용(費用)을 낮춤으로써 시장유동성(市場流動性) 제고(提高)를 유도하는 경우 이러한 시도는 단기적(短期的)으로는 어느 정도 효과(效果)를 거둘 수 있음을 시준(示晙) 한다. 또한 증거금변경이 가격변동성(價格變動性)에 미치는 영향은 크지 않은 것으로 밝혀져 일반적으로 선물거래소들이 취하고 있는 증거금정책으로써 가격변동성을 관리하기 위한 증거금(證據金) 운용정책(運用政策)은 적어도 단기에 있어서는 어느 정도 효과를 보나 그 효과는 크지 않은 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 사실들은 증거금변경이 이루어지는 시점이 일반적으로 시장활동(市場活動)의 변화(變化)가 나타나기 시작한 후 1개윌 이내에 이루어져 왔다는 사실을 고려한다면 많은 선물거래소들이 취하고 있는 증거금관리정책은 비교적 단기적인 효과를 위한 것이며 그러한 정책(政策)들은 나름대로 소기의 목적(目的)으로 달성하고 있는 것으로 보인다. 끝으로 증거금변경이 선물시장활동에 미치는 효과의 국가간(國家間)의 차이(差異)가 없고 또한 상품간(商品間)에도 사실상 차이(差異)가 없다는 사실은 앞으로 선물시장을 개설할 우리나라의 입장에서 볼 때 선물증거금(先物證據金) 운용(運用)에 관한 정책수립시(政策樹立時) 금융선진국(金融先進國)의 증거금(證據金) 정책운용(政策運用)을 통한 시장관리(市場管理) 경험(經驗)을 어느 정도 참고할 수 있음을 시사한다고 할 것이다.

Influence of Liquidity on the Housing Market before and after Macroeconomic Fluctuations (거시경제변동 전후 유동성이 주택시장에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • In the past, once apartments were built by housing construction companies, their presale went smoothly. Therefore, the developer and construction companies in Korea were extremely competitive in the housing market. However, when the 1997 foreign exchange crisis and 2008 global financial crisis occurred, the quantity of unsold new housing stocks rapidly increased, which caused construction companies to experience a serious liquidity crisis. This paper aims at analyzing the influence of Liquidity on the Housing Market before and after Macroeconomic Fluctuations using VECM. The periods from September 2001 to September 2008 and from October 2008 to October 2015, which were before and after the Subprime financial crisis, were set as Models 1 and 2, respectively. The results are as follows. First, it is important to develop a long-term policy for the housing transaction market to improve household incomes. Second, due to the shortage in the supply of jeonse housing, structural changes in the housing market have appeared. Thus, it is necessary to seek political measures to minimize the impact of transitional changes on the market.

A study on the Linkage of Volatility in Stock Markets under Global Financial Crisis (글로벌 금융위기하에서 주식시장 변동성의 연관성에 대한 연구)

  • This study is to examine the linkage of volatility between changes in the stock market of India and other countries through the integration of the world economy. The results were as follows: First, autocorrelation or serial correlation did not exist in the classic RS model, but long-term memory was present in the modified RS model. Second, unit root did not exist in the unit root test for all periods, and the series were a stable explanatory power and a long-term memory with the normal conditions in the ARFIMA model. Third, in the multivariate asymmetric BEKK and VAR model before the financial crisis, it showed that there was a strong influence of the own market of Taiwan and UK in the conditional mean equation, and a strong spillover effect from Japan to India, from Taiwan to China(Korea, US), from US(Japan) to UK in one direction. In the conditional variance equation, GARCH showed a strong spillover effect that indicated the same direction as the result of ARCH coefficient of the market itself. Asymmetric effects in three home markets and between markets existed. Fourth, after the financial crisis, in the conditional mean equation, only the domestic market in Taiwan showed strong influences, and strong spillover effects existed from India to US, from Taiwan to Japan, from Korea to Germany in one direction. In the conditional variance equation, strong spillover effects were the same as the result of the pre-crisis and asymmetric effect in the domestic market in UK was present, and one-way asymmetric effect existed in Germany from Taiwan. Therefore, the results of this study presented the linkage between the volatilities of the stock market of India and other countries through the integration of the world economy, observing and confirming the asymmetric reactions and return(volatility) spillover effects between the stock market of India and other countries.
