Analysis of Korean workers' working hours (대한민국 근로자의 근로시간 분석연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the working hours of Korean workers in terms of occupation, employment contract period, employment type, final education level based on the first(2006), second(2010), third(2011), fourth(2014) Korean Working Conditions Survey(KWCS) results. Also KWCS was compared to European Working Conditions Survey(EWCS). It is found that weekly working hours were decreasing over the years since mid 2000 but weekly working hours of Korean were still longer than those of Europeans. It is also found that service workers and sales workers worked longer hours than specialists, that private sector worked longer hours than public and non-profit organization, and that the less educated worked longer hours than the more educated.

Are Adverse Working Environments Adequately Compensated in South Korea? (근로자들은 나쁜 근로환경에 대해 보상 받는가?)

  • This paper examines the role of adverse working environments in the determination of workers' compensation in South Korean. I use the Third Korean Working Conditions Survey(2011), Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute that provide relevant variables in objective and subjective compensation and workers of diverse working environment. I find that risk factors in adverse working environments have a very minor role in the determination of individual wages. In contrast, adverse working environments have significant relationship with the level of compensation satisfaction. In addition, the results show that workers are more likely to receive compensation from psychological risk than physical risk. And women receive much more compensation in the psychological risk. These results provide useful information for improvement of working environments.

  • 본 연구에서는 장애 임금근로자의 근로환경, 업무특성, 지속근무 의도, 직무만족도 간의 구조적 관계분석을 통해 장애 임금근로자의 직무만족도 향상 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 분석자료는 장애인고용패널 2차웨이브 6차년도 패널데이터 중 15세이상 임금 장애근로자 1,582명을 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 장애 임금근로자의 근로환경은 직무만족도에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤지만, 지속근무 의도에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 장애 임금근로자의 업무특성은 지속근무 의도와 직무만족도에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 장애 임금근로자의 지속근무 의도는 직무만족도에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 장애 임금근로자의 근무환경과 직무만족도 사이에 지속근무 의도는 매개효과를 나타내지 않았다. 다섯째, 장애 임금근로자의 업무특성과 직무만족도 사이에 지속근무 의도는 매개효과를 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 지난 7월 4일부터 7일까지 열렸던 국제안전보건전시회 기간에는 27개에 달하는 다양한 세미나가 함께 개최되어 산업안전의 중요성을 강조했다. 그 가운데 인쇄산업과도 관련성이 있고 흥미를 가질 수 있는 <근로환경 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구>를 요약, 게재한다. 근로자의 의식수준이 높아지고 일부 사업장에서 발생하고 있는 산업재해와 직업병이 사회적인 문제로 대두되면서 근로환경에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 근로환경 개선은 생산성 증가를 통해 기업성과에 영향을 미치고 국민 대다수가 취업자인 현대사회에서 기본권을 보장하는 측면에서도 중요하다. 더욱이 저출산, 고령화 사회의 도래로 근로활동인구의 부족이 경제성장의 중요한 장애요인으로 작용할 것으로 예상되는 상황에서 업무상 질병 및 사고를 줄이는 것은 근로자복지 제고뿐만 아니라 예상되는 근로자 부족 문제를 완화하는데도 기여할 것이다.

  • 최근 들어 근로자의 이동시간 단축을 통한 에너지 절감뿐만 아니라 저출산 고령화에 따른 노인 인구의 경제활동 유도, 출산여성에 대한 경력단축 방지, 장애인에 대한 근로활동 제공 등을 위한 근로 환경의 변화가 요구되고 있다. 이러한 근로환경을 제공하기 위한 스마트워크는 기존 사무실에서 근무하는 환경을 탈피하여 댁내, 스마트워크 센터, 또는 이동 중에도 마치 직장에서 근무하는 것처럼 업무를 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다. 스마트워크는 현재 사용중인 여러 가지의 기술들을 근로환경에 맞게 채택하여 구현할 수 있으며, 특히 근로자의 업무 생산성을 높이기 위한 협업기능이 제공될 필요가 있다. 영상협업 기능은 영상, 음성 및 콘텐츠 공유를 통해 원격지 간에 효과적인 업무를 수행할 수 있도록 제공하는 기능이다. 본 논문은 스마트워크에서 영상협업을 제공하기 위하여 요구되는 상호연동 기능확장을 위한 표준화 이슈에 대하여 기술한다.

  • interrelationship among the characters of the top and the root within a plant was investigated by deviding the roots of the plant into two parts and growing each one in two different environmental conditions, The roots grown on the poor environmental conditions such as over flooding moisture and overdried were less in numbers of root. shorter in root length. and lighter in root weight than those of good growing conditions, It was demonstrated that the roots grown under the poor environmental conditions affected not only the growing of the associated tillers but also the growing of all the tillers within a plant. In comparision with untreated plants. the culm length of treated plants was shortened. and the heading time of them was delayed. The most remarkable yield reduction was appeared at the over flooding moisture treatment. and the next was at the overdried treatment. The ten dency of yield reduction was more severe in sandy soil than that of clay loam.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how hotel employees' musculoskeletal pain, which is likely caused by their poor working environment, affects their intent on changing jobs. The participants of this study were 200 hotel employees who were experiencing musculoskeletal pain. They were asked four questions through face-to-face interviews and questionnaires. They were asked four questions through face-to-face interviews and questionnaires. These four questions were about musculoskeletal pain, the employees' working environment, their turnover intention, and their general personalities. This study finds that the musculoskeletal pain is related to the employee's turnover intention. Based on its findings, this study claims that an adequate working environment and various preventative programs are necessary to decrease the number of employees resigning and to prevent musculoskeletal pain.

보호구 미착용시 과태료 부과 - 보호구 올바른 선택과 사용방법

  • 지난 6월 1일부터 사업주가 안전모 · 안전대 · 안전화를 지급하고 착용토록 했으나 이를 착용하지 않은 근로자에게는 1차 경고 없이 현장에서 즉시 5만원의 과태료가 부과된다. 만약 사업주가 보호구를 지급하지 않아 근로자가 이를 착용하지 못했다면 근로자에게 과태료를 부과할 수 없으며, 사업주에게 5년 이하의 징역 또는 5천만원 이하의 벌금이 부과된다. 노동부가 이처럼 근로자에게 즉시 과태료를 부과키로 한 것은 지난해 사망사고 분석 결과 564명(전체의 52.8%)이 추락이나 낙하 · 비래로 인해 사망했고, 이런 사망사고를 예방하기 위해서는 안전모 · 안전대 착용이 필수적이기 때문이다. 이번 FOCUS에서는 근로자의 안전에 가장 직접적인 영향을 주는 보호구에 대해서 알아본다.

Long-Term Effect of Chemical Environments on FRP Reinforcing Bar for Concrete Reinforcement (화학적 환경에 노출된 콘크리트 보강용 FRP 보강근의 장기 효과)

  • The corrosion of steel reinforcing bar(re-bar) has been the major cause of the reinforced concrete deterioration. FRP(Fiber-reinforced polymer) reinforcing bar has emerged as one of the most promising and affordable solutions to the corrosion problems of steel reinforcement in structural concrete. However, FRP re-bar is pone to deteriorate due to other degradation mechanisms than those for steel. The high alkalinity of concrete, for instance, is a possible degradation source. Other potentially FRP re-bar aggressive environments are sea water, acid solution and fresh water/moisture. In this study long-term durability performance of FRP re-bar were evaluated. The mechanical and durability properties of two type of CFRP-, GFRP re-bar and one type of AFRP re-bar were investigated; the FRP re-bars were subjected to alkaline solution acid solution, salt solution and deionized water. The mechanical and durability properties were investigated by performing tensile, compressive and short beam tests. Experimental results confirmed the desirable resistance of FRP re-bar to aggressive chemical environment.

The Combined Effect of Concrete Environment and High Temperature on Interlaminar Shear Strength of FRP Reinforcement (콘크리트 환경과 고온의 복합환경이 FRP 보강근의 계면전단성능에 미치는 영향)

  • Most experimental studies on durability of FRP reinforcements subjected to high temperature have focused on the effect of high temperature only on tensile properties. But FRP reinforcement used in newly constructed concrete structure is first degraded by moisture and alkaline environment of concrete. When the structure is subjected to fire, the degraded FRP reinforcement is exposed to high temperature. Therefore, the effects of concrete environment and high temperature should be simultaneously considered for evaluation of FRP reinforcement damaged by fire. In this study, FRP reinforcements submerged in simulated solutions of pH 12.3 and 7 for extended period of time were subjected to temperatures of $60^{\circ}C$, $100^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, and $300^{\circ}C$ to be examined. In order to investigate the effect of the high temperature, interlaminar shear strengths were measured and compared to those of control ones. The experimental results demonstrated that the combined effect of concrete environment and high temperature on properties of FRP reinforcement was more significant than the effect of high temperature or concrete environment solely.
