  • Research on the development and effectiveness of internet-based cognitive-behavioral therapy with a trauma focus (iCBT-T) has been actively conducted in Western societies, but these studies have just begun in Korea. The purpose of this study was to suggest practical considerations to developing and managing the iCBT-T program. After reviewing previous studies on iCBT-T, this author suggested a model of convergence and collaboration between mental health knowledge and information and communication technologies (ICT) to develop the iCBT-T program. This article outlines practical considerations, including focus and target groups of iCBT-T, intervention types of iCBT-T (open access vs. guided), number of sessions, ethical issues, professional support, and degree of user involvement. Methods to complement the limitations of internet as a medium are also proposed in the iCBT-T program. The convergence model of CBT-T and ICT is expected to promote the development of programs that can contribute to improving the mental health of users who experience traumatic events.

  • Ultra-high-speed images that accurately depict the minute movements of objects have become common as low-cost and high-performance cameras that can film at high speeds have emerged. In this paper, the proposed method removes unexpected noise contained in images after input at high speed, and then extracts an area of interest that can represent personal information, such as skin areas, from the image in which noise has been removed. In this paper, noise generated by abnormal electrical signals is removed by applying bilateral filters. A color model created through pre-learning is then used to extract the area of interest that represents the personal information contained within the image. Experimental results show that the introduced algorithms remove noise from high-speed images and then extract the area of interest robustly. The approach presented in this paper is expected to be useful in various applications related to computer vision, such as image preprocessing, noise elimination, tracking and monitoring of target areas, etc.

  • Low-cost, ultra-high-speed cameras, made possible by the development of image sensors and small displays, can be very useful in image processing and pattern recognition. This paper introduces an algorithm that corrects irregular lighting from a high-speed image that is continuously input with a slight time interval, and which then obtains an exposed skin color region that is the area of interest in a person from the corrected image. In this study, the non-uniform lighting effect from a received high-speed image is first corrected using a frame blending technique. Then, the region of interest is robustly obtained from the input high-speed color image by applying an elliptical skin color distribution model generated from iterative learning in advance. Experimental results show that the approach presented in this paper corrects illumination in various types of color images, and then accurately acquires the region of interest. The algorithm proposed in this study is expected to be useful in various types of practical applications related to image recognition, such as face recognition and tracking, lighting correction, and video indexing and retrieval.

  • Recently, due to the popularization of 3D depth cameras, new researches and opportunities have been made in research conducted on RGB images, but estimation of human hand pose is still classified as one of the difficult topics. In this paper, we propose a robust estimation method of human hand pose from various input 3D depth images using a learning algorithm. The proposed approach first generates a skeleton-based hand model and then aligns the generated hand model with three-dimensional point cloud data. Then, using a random forest-based learning algorithm, the hand pose is strongly estimated from the aligned hand model. Experimental results in this paper show that the proposed hierarchical approach makes robust and fast estimation of human hand posture from input depth images captured in various indoor and outdoor environments.

  • The improving performance and utilizing application fields of mobile devices are getting bigger and wider. With this trend, applications that use database engines on mobile devices are also becoming common. Applications requiring mobile databases include mobile server databases, edge computing, fog computing, and the like. By the way, the most representative and widely used mobile database is SQLite3. In this paper, we test and compare the update performance of SQLite3 by some file systems. The update performance of the file systems in the mobile environment is an important performance factor in the limited H/W environment. The comparison file system was chosen as FAT, Ext2, and NTFS. Under the same conditions, experiments with each file system to test update performance and characteristics were processed. From the experimental results, we could analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each file system for each database update pattern.

  • This study aims to identify the relationship between outcome expectancy and illegal use of music sources, and examined the parallel double mediating model of reward sensitivity and social dilution of responsibility on that relationship. To achieve the purpose this study, data were collected from 302 male and female high school students living in Seoul metropolitan area, and a double mediating effect was analysed with PROCESS Macro 3.5 Model 4. Results indicated that outcome expectancy was positively correlated with reward sensitivity, social dilution of responsibility, and illegal use of music sources of high school students, whereas reward sensitivity and social dilution of responsibility were positively correlated with illegal use of music sources. This study found that reward sensitivity and social dilution of responsibility were mediating outcome expectancy and illegal use of music sources in parallel. These findings suggest that psychological mechanisms lead adolescents use illegal music sources might be important, and provide useful information for making strategies to prevent adolescents' uses of illegal music sources.

  • Existing studies have shown consistent results that a diversification discount phenomenon occurs, which means that the value of the company decreases as the degree of diversification of a company increases. Nevertheless, it is explained by the agency theory as a factor that continues to promote diversification by companies. And in order to solve the agency problem, it is important to form an effective governance structure. In order to solve these problems, this study aims to study how the directors' concurrent information affects the monitoring effect of the board of directors through this affects diversification. To this end, research was conducted on KOSPI companies for 6 years from 2011 to 2016.As a result of the analysis, in the case of the concurrent appointment of the CEO and the inside director, there was a positive (+) effect, but the significance could not be confirmed. In the case of adjunct appointments as outside directors, positive results were confirmed that were significant for diversification.

  • With popularization of services for massive content, the fundamental limitations of TCP/IP networking were discussed and a new paradigm called Information-centric networking (ICN) was presented. In ICN, content is addressed by the content identifier (content name) instead of the location identifier such as IP address, and network nodes can use the cache to store content in transit to directly service subsequent user requests. As the user request can be serviced from nearby network caches rather than from far-located content servers, advantages such as reduced service latency, efficient usage of network bandwidth, and service scalability have been introduced. However, these advantages are determined by how actively content stored in the cache can be utilized. In this paper, we 1) introduce content access schemes in Named-data networking, one of the representative ICN architectures; 2) in particular, review the schemes that allow access to cached content away from routing paths; 3) conduct comparative study on the performance of the schemes using the ndnSIM simulator.

  • In this paper, to improve the conditions of the fish processing site, we propose a method to predict the cutting point of fish according to the target weight using AI machine vision. The proposed method performs image-based preprocessing by first photographing the top and front views of the input fish. Then, RANSAC(RANdom SAmple Consensus) is used to extract the fish contour line, and then 3D external information of the fish is obtained using 3D modeling. Next, machine learning is performed on the extracted three-dimensional feature information and measured weight information to generate a neural network model. Subsequently, the fish is cut at the cutting point predicted by the proposed technique, and then the weight of the cut piece is measured. We compared the measured weight with the target weight and evaluated the performance using evaluation methods such as MAE(Mean Absolute Error) and MRE(Mean Relative Error). The obtained results indicate that an average error rate of less than 3% was achieved in comparison to the target weight. The proposed technique is expected to contribute greatly to the development of the fishery industry in the future by being linked to the automation system.

  • This paper analyzes the performance of the IRA(Interferometric Radar Altimeter) by terrain type for estimating reliability of TRN(Terrain Referenced Navigation). The accuracy of the altitude is one of the key parameters of TRN's accuracy. When the antenna of the IRA has wide beamwidth, its altitude accuracy is directly affected by the configuration of the earth's surface. Hence, the accuracy and reliability of TRN can also be affected and may cause ambiguity in positioning. We present analysis data for estimating the reliability of TRN by modeling several topographies and analyzing the performance of the IRA. The results of the analysis are verified by comparison with test data.
