The Effects of functional foot orthotics on the balance according to Foot Shape (기능성 발보조기의 족부형태별 균형유지에 미치는 영향)

  • The functional loot orthoses, when wearing shoes, are in the direct contact with bottom of foots to improve and recover the correctness of abnormal lower limb musculoskeletal imbalance and the primary role of foot and also, it can act to keep the balance and weight of body and support the weakened region, so that it is very helpful to keep body balance for the standing position. In this paper, it was researched that foot orthoses which is accommodable for the function of impact absorption including the gait stability affect on the balanced performances of body in according to the formation and the material of foot part. Taking into account the balanced performances by using the sway velocity, the estimation and comparison of the effects on the balanced performances by each formation and material for foot orthoses was evaluated into significant values(p<0.006) in only the eye-opening posture with Firm state, In this posture, the static process performed by each foot formation reveals in order of normal foot(p<0.010), flat foot(p<0.000) and hollow foot(p<0.003) and then, on the base of each formation of foot part, the result that analyze the effects of the materials of foot orthoses on the balance performance appeared showing that soft materials is more effective on the normal foot and, on the other hand, rigid materials is more effective in balancing on flat foot and hollow foot.

  • 타부 탐색은 타부 전략 기법과 최급 강하 알고리즘이 결합된 알고리즘이다. 이는 한번 방문한 해는 다시 방문하지 않음으로써 지역 최적해에 수렴하지 않고 새로운 방향으로 움직이게 하여 공간 탐색 능력 효율을 높인다. 그러나 기존의 타부 탐색에서 이웃 해를 생성하는 방법에 따라 성능이 많이 좌우된다. 좋지 않은 이웃 해를 생성하는 탐색에서는 얻고자 하는 최적해에 수렴하는 시간이 많이 걸린다. 따라서 이웃 해를 생성할 때 해밍 거리를 고려하여 균형 있는 이웃 해론 생성하고, 해 공간은 탐색함으로써 우수한 최적해를 얻게 됨을 본 논문에서는 보여주고 있다. 이는 다양성도 보장되므로 최적해에 수렴해 가는 속도 또한 빠른 것을 보여주고 있다.

The effect of ankle joint mobilization technique on equilibrium ability in the individuals with supinated foot (회외발에 대한 족관절 관절가동술이 균형능력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of ankle joint mobilization on equilibrium ability of supinated foot. Both Joint mobilization group(n=20) and control group(n=20) were measured an equilibrium ability by Balance performance monitor at pre-test, post-test in 2 weeks, post-test in 4 weeks and follow-up test in 2 weeks. The sway area, sway path length and sway maximum velocity of the joint mobilization group were significantly reduced among the experimental period (p<.05). The reduction of sway area, sway path length and sway maximum velocity were significantly different between the joint mobilization group and the control group at in 2 weeks, 4 weeks and follow-up test(p<.05). In conclusion, we were found that ankle joint mobilization could reduce sway area, sway path length and sway max velocity and improve a balance for the individuals with supinated foot.

Study of Correlation between BBS, SPPB, TUG and COP during Quiet Standing in Elderly Women (정적직립자세에서 여성고령자의 COP와 BBS, SPPB, TUG와의 상관관계연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate correlation between BBS(Berg balance scale), SPPB(short physical performance battery,) TUG(timed up and go) and COP(center of pressure) during quiet standing in elderly women. Ten elderly women aged 65 to 75 years participated in this study. Subjects were measured physical functional test and they were stood in quiet stance on force platform positioned in one of three different fixed positions(flat, downward, upward). The COP range and mean velocity data were calculated using an experimental setup with the ground reaction force system. COP range and mean velocity of AP direction showed significant more expanded than ML direction of all slope types. Physical performance scores were significant correlated between COP range and mean velocity according to surface slopes. After all elderly women get high score of physical performance that brought decreased on one's COP range and mean velocity. This study suggests that clinical therapist have application to COP parameters as well as BBS, SPPB, TUG of balance assessment in elderly women.

The Effects of Trunk Muscle Strengthening Exercises on Balance Performance of Sitting Posture and Muscle Tone of Children with Cerebral Palsy (체간근력 강화 운동이 뇌성마비 아동의 앉은 자세 균형 수행력과 근 긴장도 변화에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of trunk muscle strengthening exercises on balance performance of sitting posture and muscle tone, targeting the children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy. 16 children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy in IV phase of GMFCS were sampled at random and the tests were conducted for 6 weeks, 3 times per week. For experimental groups, only trunk muscle strengthening exercises were conducted and for control groups, only basic physical therapy was conducted. The trunk muscle strengthening exercise consisted of 2 exercises to strengthen abdominal muscles and back muscles. BPM(Balance Performance Monitor) was used to measure balance performance and MMAS(Modified Modified Ashworth Scale) was used to measure muscle tone. As a result, the changes of sitting balance performance in experimental groups and control groups show significant difference in the changes of sway path and sway velocity(p<.05), the comparison of changes in sitting balance performance in between experimental groups and control groups show significant difference in the changes of sway path and sway velocity(p<.05). Knee flexor muscles and hip adductor muscles in both groups show no significant difference in changes of the muscle tone(p>.05). Therefore, the balance performance in both experimental groups and control groups was improved. However, the experimental group had more significant improvement in balance performance and no change in muscle tone was detected in both groups. Thus, these findings show trunk muscle strengthening exercises are effective in improving the balance performance of sitting posture for the children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy without changing muscle tone.

The Effects of Backward Walking with Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation on Gait and Balance in Patients with Stroke (리듬청각자극을 이용한 후방 보행 훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 보행과 균형에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of backward walking with rhythmic auditory stimulation on the gait and balance of stroke patients. Twenty-one people were divided randomly into three groups; group I(n=7, forward walking), group II(n=7, backward walking), group III(n=7, backward walking by rhythmic auditory stimulation). Each group was trained for 30 minutes 5 times per week for 3 weeks, and was evaluated using a 10m walking test, time up and go test, functional reach test, stride length and step length asymmetry ratio. As a result, the pre- to post-test measures revealed a significant effect in each group on the gait speed, gait symmetry and balance(p<.05). The walking speed, gait symmetry and balance were higher in group II (p<.05) than in group I and it was the highest in group III(p<.05). The stride length was higher in group II and group III(p<.05) than in group I. In conclusion, for stroke patients, backward walking training with rhythmic auditory stimulation is effective on the gait speed, gait symmetry and balance.

  • 경영환경의 변화를 예측하고, 변화를 창조하며 적극적으로 대응하고자 하는 오늘날 기업 활동의 노력은 전통적인 경영관리시스템(MIS, Management Information System)의 한계를 인식하고 있다. 테일러의 과학적 경영관리 기법을 근간으로 발전해온 MIS분야는 종래의 경영환경, 즉 변화 정도가 미약하거나 또는 예측 가능한 변화의 환경 속에서 기업관리 활동이 가능한 경우에 그 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 전략적 기업관리(SEM, Strategic Enterprise Management)는 기업의 가치창출을 위한 근본적인 프로세스에 관심을 가지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 기업의 가치중심 경영 기법과 연계되는 성과관리시스템의 새로운 설계 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 기업의 전략적 가치동인(value driver)을 도출하여 전략방향의 대안을 제시하고 그러한 전략대안을 달성하기 위한 균형성과지표를 개발한다. 향후 이 지표들은 다시 가치동인도에 반영되어 기업의 전략적 가치향상을 위한 지표 선정의 적정성을 검증하게 된다. 결국, 기업의 가치창출이라는 대명제 안에서 가치평가모델링(VBM, Value Based Management)과 균형성과 지표의 연계성을 강조하는 틀을 제시하게 될 것이다.

3D Simulation Study of Biped Robot Balance Using FPE Method (FPE 방식을 활용한 이족 로봇 균형 유지 3차원 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • In this study, we investigate balance of a biped robot applying Foot Placement Estimator (FPE) in simulation. FPE method is used to determine a stable foot location for balancing the biped robot when an initial orientation of the robot body is statically unstable. In this case, the 6-DOF biped robot with point foot is modelled considering contact and friction between foot and the ground. For simulation, the mass of the robot is 1 kg assuming the center of robot mass (COM) is located at the center of the robot body. The height from the ground to the COM is 1 m. Robot balance is achieved applying stable foot locations calculated from FPE method using linear and angular velocities, and the height of the COM. The initially unstable angular postures, $5^{\circ}$ and $-5^{\circ}$, of the robot body are simulated. Simulation results confirm that the FPE method provides stable balance of the robot for all given unstable initial conditions.
