  • 최근 국내에서도 관 동맥 질환 환자의 수가 급증하고 있으며, 관 동맥 질환의 치료 방법인 관 동맥 성형 술은 관 동맥 stent의 도입에 의하여 보편화되어 국내에서 년간 5000개 이상의 stent가 시술되고 있다. 그러나 stent는 고가(1,200천원/개)로 전량 수입에 의존하고 있으며, 시술 후 사망까지 이를 수 있는 혈전에 의한 급성 페쇠와 재 협착이 문제점이다. 이를 위한 한가지 방법이 생체 적합성이 뛰어난 복합 stent의 개발인데 SiC나 Carbon을 coating한 stent는 시술 후 혈전 형성을 억제하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 특히 가장 순수한 Pyrolytic carbon은 hemocompatibility가 탁월하고 기밀 성이기 때문에 본 연구에서 그의 CVB-Kinetics를 연구코저 하는 것이다. methane으로부터 pyrolytic carbon의 CVD는 온도에 따라서 다양한 구조를 가지며 따라서 그의 mechanism도 다양하다는 것은 잘 알려져 있다. 더구나 광간(균질)반응과 표면(불균질)반응의 정량적 관계에 따라서도 다르다는 것도 확인되었다. 그러나 stainless steel 316L로 만든 stent는 12 - 15 %의 Ni과 2%의 Mo을 함유해서 금속성을 잃지 않는 저온(600℃)에서도 pyrolytic carbon의 속매적 CVD가 가능함을 그리고 SiC의 코팅에 적합한 buffer layer 역할을 함을 확인하였다. 그리하여 본 연구는 반응기 설계에 필요한 저온 촉매적 pyrolytic carbon의 CVD-kinetics의 연구결로 그의 mechanism과 함께 rate law 식을 유도, 확인하였으며 600℃, 90kPa에서 P/sub ch4//P/sub H2/=5:1과 체류시간 1.8 sec가 최적임을 발견하였다. 이때 석출속도 11.2 g-mol/g-cat.h 혹은 두께속도로 73 nm/sec를 나타내었다.메타놀-물 (1 : 1) 유출액에서 $(0.80\;{\mu}g)$ 검출되었다. 하면 morey eel내장에서 얻은 독물질도 DEAE-셀루로즈에서 ST-1 과 ST-2로 나누어지며, 이 ST-1의 TLC, HPLC 및 알루미나 컬럼상의 거동이 파랑비늘돔에서 얻은 ST-1의 그것과 같으므로 scaritoxin으로 보고한 ST-1은 ciguatoxin의 형태인 less polar cigutoxin (LPCTX) 으로 생각된다.에서 각각 대조구의 57, 413 및 315% 증진되었다. 거품의 열안정성은 15분 whipping시, pH 4.0(대조구, 30.2%) 및 5.0(대조구, 23.7%)에서 각각 $0{\sim}38.0$$0{\sim}57.0%$이었고 pH 7.0(대조구, 39.6%) 및 8.0(대조구, 43.6%)에서 각각 $0{\sim}59.4$$36.6{\sim}58.4%$이었으며 sodium alginate 첨가시가 가장 양호하였다. 전체적으로 보아 거품안정성이 높은 것은 열안정성도 높은 경향이며, 표면장력이 낮으면 거품형성능이 높아지고, 비점도가 높으면 거품안정성 및 열안정성이 높아지는 경향이 있었다.protocol.eractions between application agents that are developed using different languages.   • Sol-gel process applied in this study was carried out by chelation of metal ions and citric acid. From the results of thermal gravimetric analysis and XRD analysis of gel powder obtained through sol-gel and heat treatment, gel powders are mostly amorphous, and crystallize completely at $900^{\circ}C$, and the crystalline structure of YAG increases with increasing calcinations temperature. Since YAG prepared by sol-gel & calcinations process was porous, and the sape and size was irregular and nonuniform, the shape and size of YAG powder had to be controlled. Therefore the effects of organic materials such as ethylene glycol and surfactant on the crystalline structure of YAG powder were investigated. Polyesterification of ethylene glycol and citric acid separated reaction area of metal ions in the solution and decreased the size of YAG primary particles. The addition of Igepal 630 as surfactant formed the droplet in the solution, and increased the size of primary particles which forms the aggregate of YAG In order to obtain monodispersed YAG particles of uniform size, gel powder prepared with organic materials had to be milled before calcination. And milling process was very important for obtaining YAG of uniform size.

Synthesis of Hectorite by Hydrothemal Method (저온 수열법에 의한 헥토라이트 합성)

  • Hectorite was synthesized by a two-step hydrothermal process from $Mg(OH)_{2}$, water glass (${\sim}30\;wt%\;SiO_{2}$) and Li-compound at $90{\pm}5^{\circ}C$. The product shows excellent dispersion and swelling properties. The mixture of the starting materials was heated in a glass vessel for the first reaction with continuous stirring and the pH of the solution was adjusted to $6{\sim}8$, resulting in the formation of a precursor of hectorite. The excess salt components were washed out from the resulting slurry and then was matured in the glass vessel for the 2nd reaction. Li compound was added during the reaction. After a 10 h retention, the gel of hectorite was formed. The XRD pattern of the synthesized one was coincided with that of natural hectorite and SEM study revealed uniform grains 50 m in diameter. The d001 basal spacing of the product moved from 12 to $17.4\;{\AA}$ after glycolation treatment. The measured value of CEC and the swelling capacity was 90 cmol/kg and $60{\sim}70\;mL/2\;g$, respectively.

A Study on Characteristics of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate Prepared by the Nozzle Spouting Method (분사법으로 제조된 침강성 탄산칼슘 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) was prepared in a cylindrical reactor by the nozzle spouting method. The reactor was filled with $CO_2$ and $Ca(OH)_2$ suspensions were circulated through a nozzle to prepare PCC. This method has several advantages such as provision of large contact area between suspension and $CO_2$ and production of large number of nuclei in short time. By changing suspension concentrations, suspension temperature, flow rates of $CO_2$ and nozzle sizes, PCC from homogeneously dispersed $0.1{\mu}m$ to heterogeneous $0.3{\mu}m$ can be obtained. According to XRD analyses, most PCC formed was calcite with small amount of aragonite depending on the reaction conditions. Usually, the reaction proceeded at high pH and electric conductivities initially. Then, pH and electric conductivities decreased rapidly to the saturation condition. Results indicated that the specific conditions (temperature: $25^{\circ}C$, suspension concentration: 0.5 wt%, $CO_2$ flow rate: 1 L/min, nozzle size: 0.4 mm) were required to prepare uniform particle size (particle diameter: $0.1{\mu}m$) of PCC.

Physicochemical Properties of Oxidized Waxy Maize Starches with Sodium Hypochlorite (찰옥수수 산화전분의 이화학적 특성)

  • Physicochemical properties of waxy maize starch and oxidized waxy maize starch with sodium hypochlorite $(0{\sim}60\;mg\;CL_2/g\;starch,40^{\circ}C,\;pH\;10,\;3.0\;hr)$ were studied. As sodium hypochlorite concentration was increased, the content of crude lipid and crude protein of the oxidized starch were decreased. And crude protein content and whiteness was considered to show negative regression. However, the crude ash content of the oxidized starch increased significantly with oxidation and bore a positive regression to the chlorine content. There was a progressive increase in the carboxyl content with increasing oxidant level. After pasting in hot water and cooling, viscosity of the oxidized starches were drastically lower than that of native starch . As carboxyl contents of the oxidized starch increased, the solubility and swelling power was increased. When waxy maize starch treated with 0, 1.5, 3.0 and 6.0% sodium hypochlorite, temperature of initial gelatinization of oxidized starch was shown to 65, 65, 60 and $50^{\circ}C$, respectively. The oxidized waxy maize starches also form clearer pastes. Water binding capacity of the oxidized starch decreased as the degree of carboxyl group substitution increased. Waxy maize starch has polygonal and some round granules which range from about 3.7 to $20\;{\mu}m$ in diameter. Surface appearance of the waxy maize starch became rough when oxidized with sodium hypochlorite. When homogenate of the oxidized waxy maize starch solution and corn germ oil was stored under room temperature for 24 hours, the emulsion stability was considered to depend on starch concentration and degree of substitution.

  • In situ patterned zinc oxide thin films were prepared by precipitation of Zn(NO$_3$)$_2$ aqueous solution containing urea and by microcontact printing using Self-Assembled Monolayers(SAMs) on A1/SiO$_2$/Si substrates. The visible precipitation of Zn(OH)$_2$ that was formed in the Zn(NO$_3$)$_2$ aqueous solution containing urea was enhanced with an increase of the reaction temperature and the amount of urea. As the reaction time of Zn(NO$_3$)$_2$ with urea was prolonged, the thickness and grain size of Zn(OH)$_2$ thin layers were increased, respectively. The optimum precipitation condition was at 80$\^{C}$ for 1 h for the solution with the ratio of Zn(NO$_3$)$_2$ to urea of 1 : 8. Homogeneous ZnO thin films were fabricated by the heat treatment of 600$\^{C}$ for 1 h of Zn(OH)$_2$ precipitation on Al/SiO$_2$/Si substrate. This was available to the in-situ patterned ZnO thin films with uniform grain size. Hydrophobic SAM, Octadecylphosphonic Acid(OPA) and hydrophilic SAM, 2-Carboxyethylphosphonic Acid(CPA) were applied on the Al/SiO$_2$/Si substrate by microcontact printing method. In situ patterned ZnO thin film was successfully prepared by the heat treatment of Zn(OH)$_2$ precipitated on the surface of hydrophilic SAM, CPA.

  • Copper recovery from waste water of electronic industry has been conducted effectively in a fluidized bed reactor. Initial concentration of copper in the waste water, liquid flow rate in the reactor, reaction temperature and time and current density between the cathode and anode in the reactor have been selected as operating variables. The effects of operating variables on the recovery of copper have been studied. It has found that the copper resolved in the waste water can be recovered continuously by means of a fluidized bed reactor The recovery of copper decreased with an increase in the initial concentration of copper in the waste water, while it increased with increasing reaction time and current density, however, it exhibited its maximum value with the variations of liquid flow rate and reaction temperature. The optimum reaction condition to maintain the copper recovery around 85% is as follows ; $X_o=3wt%$, $U_L=0.5cm/s$, $T=25^{\circ}C$, $I=7A/dm^2$ and t=2hrs within this experimental condition.

Stabilizing and Optimizing Properties of Crude Protease Extracted from Korean Figs (국내산 무화과에서 추출한 protease 조효소액의 안정성과 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • Protease activity of fig (Ficus carica L.), cultivated in Korea was estimated. In particular, the proteolytic effect on myofibrilar protein was studied. A crude protease extract of fig was prepared in two ways; fig was homogenized in buffer followed by centrifugation, and the supernatant was precipitated by saturated ammonium sulfate followed by dialysis. The former method resulted in 41.15 mM/g fig protease activity, whereas the latter method resulted in 17.65 mM/g fig protease activity. The crude fig protease extract showed high specificity for casein as a substrate followed by egg white, bovine serum albumin, myofibrilar protein, collagen, and elastin. The extract had stable proteolytic activity in a pH range of 6.5~9.0 (optimal at pH 7-8) but lost activity, at pH 2-3. Proteolytic activity for myofibrilar protein was sensitive to pH. The proteolytic activity of the fig extract was steady up to $60^{\circ}C$ but declined at higher temperature. It also began to lose stability in salt concentrations >0.7 M NaCl. Fig has been used as a meat tenderizer for cooking, and these results support the tenderizing effectiveness of fig, particularly for Korean style meat marinating.

Stability and Optimization of Crude Protease Extracted from Korean Kiwifruits (국내산 키위에서 추출한 protease 조효소액의 안정성과 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • In the study, the protease activity of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa Planch) cultivated in Korea was estimated, with specific examination of proteolytic effects on myofibrilar protein. The crude protease extract of kiwifruit was prepared in two ways; one in which the kiwifruit was homogenized with buffer followed by centrifugation, and the other were the supernatant was precipitated by saturated ammonium sulfate followed by dialysis. The former had 21.23 mM/mL of protease activity, which corresponded to 112.28 mM/g kiwifruit utilized, and the latter had 11.58 mM/mL and 45.80 mM/g of kiwifruit. The crude protease extract of the kiwifruit showed high specificity for casein substrate followed by bovine serum albumin, egg white, collagen, and elastin, in order. The enzyme lost proteolytic activity in acidic conditions such as pH 2-3, and at high temperatures over $60^{\circ}C$. It showed optimal activity in both pH 3.0 and pH 7.5 as well as at $40^{\circ}C$ for casein substrate and at $50^{\circ}C$ for myofibrilar protein substrate. The proteolytic activity toward casein was high with up to 0.5M salt, followed by a sharp decrease beyond this concentration. On the other hand the proteolytic activity for myofibrilar protein decreased steadily with increasing of salt concentration. Kiwifruit has been used as a for meat tenderizer for in home cooking and these results support the its tenderizing effectiveness of kiwifruit especially for Korean style marinating of meat for cooking.

Shear Thickening Behavior of Fumed Silica Suspension in Polyethylene Glycol (폴리에틸렌 글리콜 내에서의 흄드 실리카 현탁액의 전단농화 거동연구)

  • We made suspension of fumed silica in polyethylene glycol (PEG), studied rheological behavior as functions of contents of silica, dispersion condition, PEG molecular weight, temperature and contents of humidity. Rheological behavior of suspension was determined critical shear rate and rise of viscosity using rheometer AR2000. Suspension were PEGs of molecular weight 200, 400, and 600. Fumed silica suspensions of which silica contents are 5, 7, 9, 13, and 18% were prepared by normal mixing, homogenization and bead milling process. We observed their rheological behaviors at 10, 20, 30, and $40^{\circ}C$. As the PEG molecular weight and contents of silica increase, the critical shear rate was lowered. As the temperature increased, the critical shear rate was increased. Humidity contents of dispersion don't influence on the critical shear rate, but dispersion processes greatly affect the critical shear rate. The critical shear rate of suspensions prepared by the mixing process was the lowest, and that of suspensions prepared by the bead milling process was the highest. The rise in the shear viscosity of suspensions prepared by the mixing process is higher than that of suspensions prepared by the bead milling process. This was dependent on the dispersion condition of silica particle by dispersion process.
