Stair Locomotion Method of Quadruped Robot Using Genetic Algorithm (유전 알고리즘을 이용한 4족 로봇의 계단 보행 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient stair locomotion method for a quadruped robot with mechanism of insectile legs using genetic algorithm(GA). In the proposed method, we first define the factors and the reachable region for the stair locomotion. In addition, we set the gene and the fitness function for GA and generate the gait trajectory by searching the landing position of a quadruped robot, which has the minimun distance of movement and the optimal energy stability margin(ESM). Finally, we verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed stair locomotion method through the computer simulations.

Steering Performance Test of Autonomous Guided Vehicle(AGV) Based on Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) (위성항법 기반 AGV(Autonomous Guided Vehicle)의 조향 성능 시험)

  • In this paper, a GNSS-based AGV system was designed, and steering tested on a golf cart using electric wires in order to confirm the control efficiency of the low speed vehicle which used only position information of GNSS. After analyzed the existing AGVs system, we developed controller and steering algorithm using GNSS based position information. To analyze the performance of the developed controller and steering algorithm, straight-type and circle-type trajectory test are executed. The results show that steering performance of GNSS-based AGV system is ${\pm}\;0.2m$ for a reference trajectory.

Baseball Game Analysis Method Using Broadcast Video (중계 영상을 활용한 야구 경기 분석 방법)

  • Analyzing baseball games using sensors such as radars or riders is expensive. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to detect pitch shots and hit shots using baseball video and to generate ball trajectories within hit shots using camera movement. After the pitch shot and the hit shot detection using object detection and optical flow, we generate the transformation relationship between frames and ball locations in the frame, and calculates the ball trajectory. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated for three KBO baseball video sequences, and the detection accuracy and detection rate of pitch shot and hit shot were within 89-95 [%], and the average error for shot range was 13.6[m], The direction error was 7.5° and foul classification accuracy was 98.6%.

Robust Object Extraction Algorithm in the Sea Environment (해양환경에서 강건한 물표 추적 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we proposed a robust object extraction and tracking algorithm in the IR image sequence acquired in the sea environment. In order to extract size-invariant object, we detect horizontal and vertical edges by using DWT and combine it to generate saliency map. To extract object region, binarization technique is applied to saliency map. The correspondences between objects in consecutive frames are defined by the calculating minimum weighted Euclidean distance as a matching measure. Finally, object trajectories are determined by considering false correspondences such as entering object, vanishing objects and false object and so on. The proposed algorithm can find trajectories robustly, which has shown by experimental results.

  • In this paper, a guidance law applicable to aircraft automatic landing is proposed and its performance is compared with the conventional ILS-type landing approach. The concept of miss distance, which is commonly used in the missile guidance laws, and Lyapunov stability are effectively combined to obtain the landing guidance law. The new landing guidance law is integrated into the existing controller and is applied to the landing approach and flare phases of landing procedure. Numerical simulation results show that the new landing guidance law is a viable alternative to the conventional strategies that directly control the longitudinal deviation or altitude.

Optimal Joint Trajectory Generation for Biped Walking of Humanoid Robot based on Reference ZMP Trajectory (목표 ZMP 궤적 기반 휴머노이드 로봇 이족보행의 최적 관절궤적 생성)

  • Humanoid robot is the most intimate robot platform suitable for human interaction and services. Biped walking is its basic locomotion method, which is performed with combination of joint actuator's rotations in the lower extremity. The present work employs humanoid robot simulator and numerical optimization method to generate optimal joint trajectories for biped walking. The simulator is developed with Matlab based on the robot structure constructed with the Denavit-Hartenberg (DH) convention. Particle swarm optimization method minimizes the cost function for biped walking associated with performance index such as altitude trajectory of clearance foot and stability index concerning zero moment point (ZMP) trajectory. In this paper, instead of checking whether ZMP's position is inside the stable region or not, reference ZMP trajectory is approximately configured with feature points by which piece-wise linear trajectory can be drawn, and difference of reference ZMP and actual one at each sampling time is added to the cost function. The optimized joint trajectories realize three phases of stable gait including initial, periodic, and final steps. For validation of the proposed approach, a small-sized humanoid robot named DARwIn-OP is commanded to walk with the optimized joint trajectories, and the walking result is successful.

A MapReduce-Based Distributed Data Mining Approach to Next Place Prediction for Mobile Users (이동 사용자의 다음 장소 예측을 위한 맵리듀스 기반의 분산 데이터 마이닝)

  • 본 논문에서는 휴대용 기기 사용자들의 이동 궤적을 기록한 대용량의 GPS 위치 데이터 집합으로부터 각 사용자의 이동 패턴 모델을 학습해내고, 이 모델을 적용하여 각 사용자의 다음 방문 장소를 효율적으로 예측할 수 있는 맵리듀스 기반의 분산 데이터 마이닝 시스템을 소개한다. 본 시스템은 크게 사용자별 이동 패턴 모델을 학습하는 후단부와 실시간으로 다음 방문 장소를 예측하는 전단부로 구성된다. 이 중에서 후단부는 주요 장소 추출, 이동 궤적 변환, 이동 패턴 모델 학습 등 총 3개의 맵리듀스 작업 모듈들로 구성된다. 이에 반해, 본 시스템의 전단부는 이동 경로 후보군 생성, 다음 장소 예측 등 총 2개의 맵리듀스 작업 모듈들로 구성된다. 그리고 본 시스템을 구성하는 각각의 작어마다 분산처리를 극대화할 수 있도록 맵과 리듀스 함수를 설계하였다. 끝으로, 대용량의 GeoLife 벤치마크 데이터 집합을 이용하여 본 논문에서 소개한 시스템의 예측 성능을 분석하기 위한 실험을 수행하였고, 이를 통해 본 시스템의 높은 성능을 확인할 수 있었다.

Turbulent mixing of suspended sediments in the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability using Large-eddy Simulation (켈빈-헬름홀츠 불안정성 내에서의 부유사 혼합 거동 모사)

  • 담수가 해수에서 흘러드는 하구에서는 성층이 관측되며 이것은 난류의 미세구조를 변화시키는 주요 원인으로 작용한다. 이러한 성층화 현상은 하구 내 부유사의 군집인 하구 최대혼탁수(Estuarine Turbidity Maximum, ETM)의 형성에 영향을 주게 된다. 본 연구는 성층의 하구 최대 혼탁수 생성 메커니즘에 관심을 두고 수치모델링을 활용한 미세 난류의 부유사 거동 분석에 초점을 두었다. 성층과 전단응력 사이의 난류 혼합을 대표하는 유동인 켈빈-헬름홀츠 불안정성(Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability)을 도입하고 성층 경계면 근처에서 부유사의 이송을 높은 레이놀즈수(Reynolds number) 유동에서 RANS(Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes Simulation)보다 다양한 규모의 에너지 획득이 가능하여 미세 난류 구조 재현에 장점을 갖는 Large-eddy Simulation(LES)를 활용하여 모사하였다. 여기에서, 부유사는 주위 유동의 물리적 특성 변화에 영향을 미치지 않는 Passive scalar로 가정하였으며 $6^{th}$-order Lagrangian 다항식 보간법을 적용하여 입자의 이동 속도를 계산하고 이를 시간에 대해 적분함으로써 이동 궤적을 추적하였다. 수치 모델 결과 Lock-exchange 유동 내에서 켈빈-헬름홀츠 불안정성이 발생함에 따라 경계면 주위에 위치한 부유사가 billow 내에서 트랩핑(trapping)되는 것을 보여주어 KH-billow 혹은 braids 내의 미세 난류에 의한 영향이 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 LES를 활용하여 성층류 및 성층류 내의 부유사 혼합을 모사하여 난류의 정도에 따른 이동 궤적의 차이에 대해서 분석함으로써 성층의 난류 강도 저하에 따른 부유사의 군집으로의 영향에 대해 서술한다.

Application of Store Separation Wind Tunnel Test Technique into CFD (외장분리 풍동시험 기법의 전산유체해석 적용)

  • In this study, aerodynamic coefficients obtained from Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using wind tunnel test-like method is compared with coefficients obtained by actual wind tunnel test. Unsteady analysis has performed with using harmonic equation for motion of the external store. Aerodynamic database is generated based on CFD results to simulate 6 degree-of-freedom store separation analysis. Trajectory is obtained from simulation using both CFD-based and test-based database, and results are compared with trajectory from flight test result. It is concluded that generation of database based on CFD with wind tunnel test technique is valid from good agreement of the trajectory.

Enhancing Music Recommendation Systems Through Emotion Recognition and User Behavior Analysis

  • 177-Existing music recommendation systems do not sufficiently consider the discrepancy between the intended emotions conveyed by song lyrics and the actual emotions felt by users. In this study, we generate topic vectors for lyrics and user comments using the LDA model, and construct a user preference model by combining user behavior trajectories reflecting time decay effects and playback frequency, along with statistical characteristics. Empirical analysis shows that our proposed model recommends music with higher accuracy compared to existing models that rely solely on lyrics. This research presents a novel methodology for improving personalized music recommendation systems by integrating emotion recognition and user behavior analysis.
