The first purpose of the present study is to investigate the way of displaying English words to facilitate phonological loops on the digital screen, and the second purpose is to test whether or not the more effective display type can increase learning rates equally in both low and high foreign language motivation group. To achieve these aims, two experiments were conducted. Experiment 1 showed that 3 times display condition generated higher performances in recall and recognition test than 1 time display condition did. In Experiment 2, we recruited high motivated group and low motivated group in foreign language learning, and assigned each member into 3 times display condition and self-pace condition. The results of Experiment 2 showed that the performance in the low motivated group was higher in the self-pace condition than in 3 times display condition, while this difference was not found in high motivated group. The present results suggest the display type increasing usage of phonological loops in digital screen environments.
This research analyzed which average comparisons and differences between groups' view motive and selection for information sources, product properties with theater animation spectator. Based on view frequency, each of groups' organization were classified to heavy, occasional, and thinly viewers. As average comparison analysis result, firstly, view motive appeared in order to "want to see animation", "to spend time and leisure activity", "to enjoy fun activity", and "because of others canvassing or recommendation", etc. Secondly, view selection for information source appeared in order to "rumor circumstance or reputation", "theater or TV previews", "internet evaluation and grade", etc. At last, view selection for practical property appeared in order to "story", "character", "special effects", "background music", "background art", "director/directing", "manufacturer/nation", and "dubbing of artist". As difference between group result, view motive and selection for product properties appeared significant differences between each of group. To the contrary, view selection for information sources did not appeared significant differences between each of group.

The National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (NFRDI) conducted a circle hook experiment to compare the catch rates of target and bycatch species between J hook and circle hooks in the tuna longline fishery of the Eastern Pacific Ocean, which is located between $9^{\circ}13'S-1^{\circ}36'N$ and $126^{\circ}00'-138^{\circ}21'W$. Sampling was conducted from September 20 to October 23, in 2006. In this survey, we collected shark data to obtain the ratio of fin weight to body weight of sharks. Overall, 413 sharks belonging to 9 species were caught on 62,464 hooks. The total weight of the sharks caught was 11,093 kg. The ratio of wet fin weight to body round weight of sharks by species ranged from 3.7% to 7.7%, while the mean was 5.4%. The total ratio of wet fin weight to the dry fin weight of sharks ranged 0.38 to 0.70 and the mean value was 0.53. The ratio of dry fin weight to the body round weight of the sharks was estimated to be 2.86%.

The purpose of this study was to compare premotor time(PMT) and electro-mechanical delay(EMD) between sitting and standing posture. Twenty four healthy young subjects(12 women and 12 men) participated in this study. Subjects were instructed to perform maximal, voluntary, isometric contraction of ankle muscle(tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscles) in reaction to auditory stimulus. PMT and EMD, calculated from stimulus, EMG and torque profile were compared between sitting and standing postures. As statistical analysis, paired t-test was performed to assess difference between sitting and standing posture. In both tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscles, EMD was found to be significantly longer for standing than sitting. However, PMT in standing posture was longer than that in sitting posture only in gastrocnemius muscles. These result indicate that increased reaction time, particularly, increased EMD of ankle muscles in standing posture may be caused by co-contraction of ankle muscles for postural control in standing posture.

Essential tremor is a neurological disorder with a tremor of the arms and hands. It is well known that essential tremor is characterized by the postural tremor and the action tremor. There has been no report on the quantitative difference in the characteristics of two tremor types. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possible difference in tremor characteristics of postural and action tremors. Seventeen patients with essential tremor ($68.9{\pm}7.9years$, 7 men, 10 women) participated in this study. Patients performed the tasks of postural maintenance (arms outstretched) and daily actions (spiral drawing). Three-axes (pitch, roll and yaw) gyro sensors were attached on index finger, back of hand and forearm, from which the segment and the joint angular velocities were calculated. Outcome measure was the tremor amplitude defined as the root-mean-square mean of the vector-sum angular velocity at segments and joints. Two-way ANOVA showed that task and joint had main factor on the tremor amplitude (p < 0.05). Post-hoc analysis revealed that tremor amplitude at the metacarpo-phalangeal joint was not affected by task (p > 0.05). However, tremor amplitude at the wrist joint differed among the tasks (p < 0.05), and it was greater in the action tasks than in postural task. Tremor was greater at finger segments than at hand and forearm and it increased in action tasks. The results of this study would be helpful for the understanding and task-specific treatments of the essential tremor.

Purpose: The goal of this study is to assess the factors influencing the HPV vaccination of females in their twenties. Methods: The survey was conducted during 2013.11.11-28 with a convenience sample of 488 participants. Results: The mean score of their knowledge about cervical cancer shows 2.54 out of 7. 96.7% and 31.5% of respondents have heard about cervical cancer and HPV, respectively. Only 2.7% are vaccinated by the recommendations from the medical teams. The higher the knowledge scores, the more the subjects are vaccinated. The factors influencing HPV vaccination appear to be prior knowledge about the HPV. Conclusion: The knowledge level is low compared to previous studies. Despite this, the trend of vaccination rate is higher. Medical teams need to promote vaccination. Accordingly, education and promotion are needed for the unvaccinated.
Purpose : This study was performed to identify the knowledge and educational wants for first-aid and its related factors of senior students in elementary schools. Methods : From July 11-25, 2008, this study surveyed 437 elementary school students using a structured questionnaire. Result : Of the study subjects, 47.6% of the subjects had experienced first-aid conditions 25.4% had injuries, 11.0% had indigestion, 10.5% had sprains, 6.2% had acute abdominal pains, 5.9% had brash, and 5.7% had fractures. The experience rates of first-aid conditions were significantly different according to gender, mothers' educational status, means of school attendance and amount of exercise. The experience rate of first-aid education was 71.4%. There was a significant difference with grade, and school reports. They had education about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (52.5%), injury treatment and desmology(48.7%) in a good order. The score of knowledge about first-aid was $13.95{\pm}4.1$ and it was converted on the basis of 100 points, the results were below 50points, and there was a significant difference in grades. Educational wants for first-aid was 64.3%, and as a result of multi-logistic regression analysis of characteristics relating to educational wants, there was a significant difference between gender, grade, mothers' educational status, and amount of exercise. Conclusion : The rate of first-aid experience of elementary school students was high, but as their recognition and knowledge on first-aid was low, the importance of first-aid education and educational wants should be reflected for practical and organized education.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether medication and deep brain stimulation (DBS) have differential effects on the speed and amplitude of bradykinesia in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Five PD patients with implanted DBS electrodes (age: $60.6{\pm}7.4yrs$, H&Y stage: $3.1{\pm}0.2$) participated in this study. FT (finger tapping) movement was measured using a gyrosensor system in four treatment conditions: Med (Medication)-off/DBS-off, Med-off/DBS-on, Med-on/DBS-off and Med-on/DBS-on. Quantitative measures representing average speed and amplitude of FT movement included root-mean-squared (RMS) angular velocity and RMS angle. One-way repeated measures ANOVA showed that RMS angular velocity of Med-on/DBS-on was significantly greater than those of Med-off/DBS-off and Med-off/DBS-on (p < 0.01) whereas RMS angle was not different among conditions (p = 0.06). Two way repeated measures ANOVA showed that only medication improved RMS angular velocity (p < 0.01), whereas both medication and DBS had no significant effect on RMS angle (p > 0.02). Effect size of RMS angular velocity was greater than that of RMS angle in both medication and DBS. This suggests that medication and DBS have differential effects on FT bradykinesia and velocity and amplitude impairments may be associated with different functional aspects in PD.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes of parameters of foot contact by various carrying a pack methods during walking. Method: The subjects were consisted of normal forty four persons (males 30, females 14, mean age 23). The carrying a pack methods were classified into five conditions: carrying no bag(Con 1), carrying a backpack(Con 2), carrying a shoulder bag(Con 3), carrying a cross bag(Con 4), carrying a one-hand bag(Con 5). All subjects were participated in these five condition and measured foot pressure by F-scan system during walking. Then foot contact time, foot contact area, foot contact length and width were measured and analyzed. The repeated one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to get difference between conditions and independent t-test was used to get difference between left and right foot within condition. Result: In the comparison of parameters of foot, contact time, contact area and mid foot width were significantly different between conditions(p<.05), and in both foot contact time at condition 5 showed the most significant reduction(p<.05). In the comparison of parameters of foot between left and right foot within condition, every conditions were not significantly different(p>.05). Conclusion: In this study various carrying methods changed the parameters of foot contact and showed significant difference in some articles between carrying methods. However, asymmetric load of pack by carrying methods didn't affected symmetry of parameters of foot contact between left and right foot.
Objectives : The objective of this case report was to investigate the effect of electroacupuncture for the management of shoulder pain caused by stroke. Methods : Electroacupuncture at $LI_{15}$ and $TE_{14}$ was performed to five patients who complained of shoulder pain after stroke. We have evaluated the efficacy of treatments by measuring the changes of pain rating score (PRS) and range of motion (ROM) of shoulder joint once a week. Results : PRS was significantly decreased after treatment ($p$<0.05). ROM of shoulder was also decreased but there was not statistical significance. Conclusions : These results suggest that electroacupuncture at $LI_{15}$ and $TE_{14}$ will be beneficial for the treatment of shoulder pain caused by stroke.
