유연성 기판에 사용되는 전해 동박의 절곡 및 굴곡 피로 파괴와 인장 특성과의 관계 (Relationship between Tensile Characteristics and Fatigue Failure by Folding or Bending in Cu Foil on Flexible Substrate)

  • 유연성 기판 상의 동박의 반복 굽힘 변형에 따른 절곡 빛 굴곡 신뢰성과 인장 특성과의 관계를 규명하기 위해 4종류의 동박 시편의 절곡 신뢰성 실험, 굴곡 선뢰성 실험과 인장 실험을 실시하였다. 절곡 신뢰성 실험은 동박에 5.3%의 굽힘 변형률을, 굴독 선뢰성 실험은 동박에 2.0%의 굽힘 변형률을 반복적으로 인가하면서 전기 저항 변화를 관찰하고 피로 수명을 평가하였다. 또한, 4가지 시편의 인장 실험을 통해 탄성 계수, 항복 강도, 연장 강도, 인성 등의 재료 물성을 구한 결과, 연성과 인성이 우수한 시편의 경우 절곡 및 굴곡 신뢰성이 크게 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 탄성 계수, 항복 강도의 경우 절곡 및 굴곡 신뢰성과 큰 연관성을 보이지 않았다. 이는 절곡 및 굴곡 변형에 의한 금속의 피로 파괴 거동은 재료의 파괴 인성과 밀접한 관계를 가지기 때문으로 판단된다.

SUP7-50CrV4강의 피로강도에 미치는 압축잔류응력의 영향 (The effect of compress residual stresses for fatigue strength of SUP7-50CrV4 Steel)

  • Recently the steel parts used at automobiles are required to be used under high stress more than ever before in need of the weight down. To achieve this requirement of a high strength steel, it must be necessary to decrease inclusion content and surface defect as like decarburization, surface roughness etc.. In this study, the surface conditions are measured to know the influence on fatigue properties by two cases of shot peening of two-stage shot peening and single-stage shot peening. And for this study, two kinds of spring steel (SUP7, 50CrV4) are used. This study shows the outstanding improvement of fatigue properties at the case of two-stage shot peening in the rotary bending fatigue test and this is assumed to be from on low stress condition, the 1st stage shot peening is not affected by nonmetallic inclusion under metal. it is possible that the 2nd stage shot peening increases the fatigue life and the high stress but that is affected by nonmetallic inclusion under metal. so far beeasily 50CrV4 have made high stress. But, results also show fatigue failures originated at inclusion near surface, and this inclusion type is turned out to be a alumina of high hardness.

플러그 용접이음부의 피로수명에 미치는 설계형상의 영향 (Effect of Design Shape on Fatigue Life of Plug Welded Joint)

  • This study was intended to use for the fatigue test in real structures and offer basic data for optimum welding structure design. To this purpose, we obserded the effect of the size and distance of plug welding hole on the static strength and fatigue life of welding structure under the shear/bending load for the improvement of fatigue life of plug welding joint between S/MBR and C/MBR in the lower structure of large bus. The result below is shown through this study. 1) Static and fatigue strength are strongly influenced by the direction of plug weld hole distributed. 2) Distances and diameters of the distributed holes are little dependent on the static strengths 3) In case of the directions of the distributed plug weld holes are vertical to the loading pin, fatigue life is dependent on distance of the distributed hole. 4) In case of the directions of the distributed plug weld holes are parallel to the loading pin, fatigue life is dependent on distance of the hole diameter.

  • This paper evaluates the static and fatigue bending strengths of CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) laminates subjected to hygrothermals. The specimens which had different stacking composition, orthotropic and quasi-isotropic laminated plates, were prepared for this experiment. A steel ball launched by the air gun collides against CFRP laminates to generate impact damages, and the 3-point fatigue bending test is carried out by using the impacted laminates to investigate the influence of hygrothermals on the effect on the residual bending fatigue strength of CFRP laminates.

회주철의 미세구조와 인장거동 분석 및 확률론적 피로수명평가 (Microstructure, Tensile Strength and Probabilistic Fatigue Life Evaluation of Gray Cast Iron)

  • 보통회주철(GC300)에 Cr, Mo, Cu 첨가제를 넣어 고급 회주철(HCI350)을 제작하고, 미세 조직과 기계적 물성치, 피로강도의 변화를 연구하였다. 주철을 환봉형과 평판형 주물로 제작하였으며, 이들을 절단 및 연마하여 나이탈 수용액으로 에칭한 후 미세조직의 면적비율을 측정하였다. 첨가물에 의해 편상 흑연결정(flake graphite)의 크기가 감소하고 고밀 펄라이트 함량이 증가하여 인장강도, 피로강도의 향상이 확인되었다. 피로시험 결과 획득한 피로수명 데이터를 바탕으로 최우추정법이 적용된 2모수 와이블 분포를 이용하여 확률-응력-수명 곡선을 산출하였다. 확률-응력-수명곡선 산출 결과 HCI350은 GC300에 비해 피로강도는 크게 개선되었고 수명데이터의 분산성은 낮아졌으나, 피로응력완화에 따른 피로수명의 증가가 크게 나타났다. 산출된 확률-응력-수명 곡선을 이용하여 요구수명 사이클 수에 대한 허용응력 값을 정량적으로 제시함으로써 신뢰성 수명설계에 위한 기초자료를 제시하였다.

접착제 접합과 점용접된 버스 폴딩도어 필러의 굽힘피로강도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cyclic Bending Load of Bus Folding Door Pillar including Adhesive Bonding and Spot Welding)

  • This paper is concerned with a study on cyclic bending load of bus folding door pillar including adhesive bonding and spot welding. Three specimen types were used such as spot welding, I-type adhesive bonding and M-type adhesive bonding in this study. The tensile-shear tests were carried out to evaluate the tensile-shear strength of these three specimen types. Also four-point bending tests were carried out to evaluate the static and dynamic bending load. From the results, using adhesive bonding has a better effect on the static and dynamic bending load than using spot welding. Therefore, manufacturing better structural products can be expected by applying hybrid welding using adhesive and spot welding to those.

기어의 스코어링 강도해석

  • 기어가 비교적 큰 하중과 고속의 운전상태에서 사용되는 경우 되풀이 응력에 의한 피로를 대상으로 하는 면압이나 굽힘강도 이외에 치면에서 발생되는 긁힘이나 융착(瀜着) 또는 용착(溶着)을 대상으로 한 스코어링(scoring) 강도를 고려하여야 한다. 스코어링은 주로 치의 이끝 부분에서 접촉방향으로 긁힘이 나타나는 손상으로 특징지워진다. 미국기어제조협회(AGMA)에서는 윤활막 파손에 의한 금속과 금속과의 접촉에 기인하여 발생되는 여러형태의 손상, 예를 들면 scuffing, seizing, galling 등을 광범위하게 스코어링으로 통칭하고 있다. 미국계통의 기술분야에서는 스코어링을 고온 스코어링(hot scoring)과 저온 스코어링(cold scoring)으로 구분하고 있다. 고온 스코어링은 고속 운전시 표면의 섬광온도(flash temperature)에 기인한 용착과 접촉방향으로 재료를 이탈시키는 형태를 나타내고, 저온 스코어링은 저속의 기어에서 윤활막 파단으로 표면에 줄질(filing)한 듯한 손상이 발생되는 것을 나타낸다. 유럽에서는 고온 스코어링 손상은 스커핑이라 하고 저온 스코어링손상만을 스코어링이라 부르고 있다.

Sm 490A강으로 제작된 T형 편면용접이음재의 굽힘피로강동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Bending Fatigue Strength of One Side Fillet Welded T-Joint by SM 490A steel)

  • In this study, a fillet size for bending fatigue strength of one side fillet welded T-joint, used in box type girder and other welding structure, was investigated by bending fatigue test with or without edge preparation and burn through, with variation of joint shape. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. (1) In one side fillet welded T-joint, the larger the leg length, the greater the bending fatigue strength. The increase in bending fatigue strength. (2) One side filet welded T-joint with edge preparation showed higher bending fatigue strength than that with twofold-large leg length and without edge preparation. (3) In one side fillet welded T-joint without edge preparation, both manual welding and automatic welding were carried out with same condition. In this case, automatic welding shoed deeper penetration and more increased horizontal leg length than manual welding, so that automatic welding offers grater bending fatigue strength. (4) For one side fillet welded T-joint without edge preparation, the ratio(h/t) of the leg length (h) and the main plate thickness (t) in which toe crack can occur was 1.2 over. (5) In one side fillet welded T-joint with edge preparation, the burn through led to reduced bending fatigue strength. However, this bending fatigue strength was higher than that of one side fillet welded T-joint without edge preparation and with a larger leg length.

  • SM45C steel rods using generally for machine components were selected and welded by butt-GMA welding method for this study. And then they were studied about characteristics of fatigue behavior and fracture surfaces by rotary bending test. Fatigue strength in weld zone present highly in order of the boundary between deposited metal zone and heat affected zone, deposited metal zone, heat affected zone. The region of infinite life by Haigh diagram present highly in order of the boundary between deposited metal zone and heat affected zone, deposited metal zone, heat affected zone. Fatigue cracks in unnotched specimens of base metal and weld zone introduce simultaneously from extensive out-side of circumferential cross-section and propagate to the other side indicating beach markings and dimples according to consolidation of fatigue cracks. Fatigue cracks in all of notched specimens introduce simultaneously in out-side of circumferential cross-section by high stresses and propagate to center of it indicating beach markings.
