  • The purpose of this study is to identify disciplinary professors' core competencies in Div. Military Science student. To best accomplish the study, I select core competencies in the precedent study about Disciplinary Professors' Core Competencies studies. The 5 factors of core competencies are as follow ; teaching core competency, evaluation core competency, guidance core competency, class management core competency, speciality development core competency. Through this study I developed disciplinary process model. This model is conducted to fit the structural relationship among the disciplinary professors' core competencies and students' life satisfaction and aspiration for military occupation. • To preserve competitiveness in rapidly changing world military market and to adapt themselves to newly-developed warfare, many developed counties have been readjusting their military organizations and technical procedures. In a private sector, business reengineering and other innovative efforts were made to respond to this change, using structural approaches. In the military sector, the United States is the one leading this move. She has been trying to reorganize her military structure to hold her hegemony in world politics for the coming 21st century. The purpose of this paper, is, (1) to analyze the information technology on the military revolution, (2) to deduce what to be changed, and (3) to infer how to change. The comparison between Korea and U.S. in terms of the real military situation was made to analyze these three research questions. The study was based on the structural contingency theory, one of the environmental analysis models, being introduced to explore the Revolution in Military Affairs(RMA) case in United States and Korea. The conclusion may be summarized as follows; First, information-based society which is characterized by the development of information technology and environmental, complexity and weakness in security affairs will affect the military factors such as the issue of holding information superiority, changing warfare in proportion to the military-scientific development and weakness in military security. This trend will be more deep-rooted and multiple in its influence on the military affairs.

  • The purpose of this paper is to recommend the Ministry of Defense(MOD) for revolutionizing the current defense education system. As an instructor and an education planning officer of the ROK Army College, for last dozen months, the author has been embarrassed whenever tried to figure out what would be the role, functions, and educational goals of the college. In a nutshell, there has not been any general guidance for educating field grade officers. This unbelievable defect mainly comes from the absence of a responsible organization in the MOD. Even though it has the education branch under the department of personnel affairs, it doesn't have capabilities to design and implement the consistent and valuable education policy. Therefore, the development of defense education should begin with reinforcing the organization and functions of the MOD education branch. We need more experts on education( i.e. Ph.Ds of Education) and experienced specialties on defense education so that we could develop the overall guidance for military professional education. In addition, we need to enact the "defense or military education act" in a tentative name. This will ensure the legitimacy and continuity of defense education guidance initiated by the MOD. In a conclusion, it is senseless to think the blueprint for the Army College out until the preconditions mentioned above are matured. We must begin with rectifying the higher educational system.

  • Virtual reality is actively applied in the fields of games, entertainment, communication, sports, and architecture. In particular, many virtual reality-based education systems are being developed in the field of education, creating efficient learning effects. In addition, virtual reality-based education is used in areas such as maintenance, fighter control, medical care, and firefighting as it can maximize the educational effect through the mastery process of the function itself through the curriculum as well as indirect experiences of dangerous situations that are difficult to experience. However, due to technical limitations, lack of contents, and lack of theoretical research, the level of application of military education and training is still insufficient. This paper aim to contribute to the development of a virtual reality-based education system as a military training system by developing a high-quality drop training system applicable to military group descent training, studying key technologies and implementation methods necessary for development.

  • The Republic of Korea Army(ROKA) has carried out a deep change to prepare for the future war since 2017. For this, Korea Army Research Center for Future & Innovation(KARCFI) established in 2018 tried to spread out boom of innovation toward the whole ROKA. A number of ROKA members mentioned the necessity of research methodology creating future crucial capabilities, weapons, combat concepts, structures, etc. KARCFI researchers established a thinking process for revolution in military affairs(RMA) to rapidly respond field requests and optimized it through validity assessment of professionals and experiment in Army Innovation School. As a result, a thinking process for RMA provided creative ideas with the Army's vision and strategy, was included in its education system. Simultaneously, it became one of methodologies for the Army's research tasks and KCI journals. From now on, a thinking process for RMA will be able to signpost for RMA of the Army through diverse following studies.

  • The topic of this paper was analyzed as "t -test" and "multiple regression analysis" for 303 helicopter pilot trainees from aviation schools in the county for "improvement of education through correlation analysis of helicopter pilots' situational awareness and education satisfaction." In addition to the factors for overcoming situational awareness and situational awareness, the level of satisfaction of the instructor and the level of satisfaction of the learning management system (LMS) is the confidence interval p<.05, 95%. It was analyzed to be significant at the level of 05, 95%. Therefore, it was analyzed that in order to improve the "quality of the instructor" in future education, institutional supplementation and "learning management system (LMS)" need to be established including VR and AR so that pilot trainees can use it at all times.
