  • Importance of road that is country base equipment is occupying fair part. Therefore, establishment of road and maintenance expense for road management are increasing continuously. These problem can manage efficiently through data model construction that take advantage of framework data. But, because of difference of method of study in research institution, framework data research was constructed being overlapped until current. This is because framework data research was no access of application side. Therefore, National Geographic Information Institute presented subject framework data model guide through framework data model standardization business. This research constructed road management data model that take advantage of traffic framework data. Therefore, we can check equal data construction and reduce expense accordingly. Also, because there are not data model development instances by framework data model, it is difficult that judge whether is suitable to apply framework data model guide. Hence, in this study, the extended road management data medel and the suitability of framework data is presented.

  • Singapore government is strongly promoting the development and utilization of underground space in national level due to the nature of the city state which lacks the land. As well as conventional underground utilization in shallow depth such as metro and underground roads, large rock cavern utilization has been started after the successful completion of the underground ammunition depot in the rock, and Jurong Rock Cavern, the second large underground cavern project has just been completed. In this paper, after evaluating the conditions of the underground development in rock mass through the analysis of the geology of Singapore, the history and current status of underground development are examined. Several creative development plans from Singapore government such as underground reservoirs, underground automation logistics systems and underground warehouses storage etc. are introduced with technical issues. This paper also discusses the problems and issues related to the development of large underground space in rock mass in Singapore. It is expected that such active development of underground space in Singapore can give many opportunities and also challenges for rock engineering and industry in the future.

  • This paper analyzes the characteristics of population change and makes the population projection in the mountainous area of Korea. Mountainous areas are defined as local towns (eup or myeon) with forest area more than 70 percent of land area, population density less than 111 people per square kilometer, and plowland area less than 21 percent of land area. The population in mountainous areas has decreased dramatically, while the ageing index has increased over the past two decades. To make the population projection, the cohort-change ratios method is applied. The results revealed that a multitude of young people aged 10 to 39 moved to cities to find education and job chance and some people aged 40 and over moved to mountainous areas as the trends of urban-to-rural migration. This continuing trend will culminate in 680 thousand people in population and 1,035 of ageing index in 2030, which will lead to the unequal land development and inefficient forest management. Thus, policy makers need to develop stimulus plans to revitalize and stabilize the economy of mountainous areas.

  • Eeffectual use or management of coastal zone is very important problem inside of protection of marine resources as well as land use. Coastal Phenomena are very strong in its locality, each coast has its characteristic problem. Occasionaly we have to solve such problem by three dimension, but it is very difficult to solve it by traditional methods. If we use aerial stereo photographs, we can obtain high usefullness in coastal zone management. Also aerial photographs are very effectual to explain corelation of time to coastal dynamic phenomena and pattern which can not be explained by formula. Images obtained from remote sensors or radiometers bring up usefull informations to planer conected with coastal zone management, have additional value which can be treated and quantitatively analized so as to be read automaticaly and present speedy and low-priced techniques. So, I insist on that sooner or later total image procssor system for Remote Sensing and photo interpretation system must be established in our nation.

  • This paper examines the process of Gyeongbu Highway construction from the standpoint of political economy, which was pursued by President Park Jeong-Hee in the 1960s, focusing on the politics of mobility and demarcation implied in it. As results of examination, it can be argued that Gyeongbu Highway was seen as a powerful element to promote a socio-spatial integration of population and hence to enforce an authoritative political power of the Park regime through creation of mobility; that it has had an strong impact on changing the physical landscape of national space and the spatio-temporal rhythm of everyday life by extending the 'machine space' as a non-place; that it has provided a physical infrastructure on which the period of capital circulation could be reduced through its effect of space-time compression. But Gyeongbu Highway has led serious problems such as uneven regional development, expansion of non-place or alienated place, ecological destruction and pollution. In conclusion, a sustainable politics is suggested to overcome this kind of 'tragedy of highway' and to develop the highway as a true way of political and spatial balance and integration.

  • In recent years, concern about the decommissioning of nuclear power plants has been growing according to the nuclear power plants aging. Although site reuse is one of the most important issues in doing decommissioning of nuclear power plants in view of the internal affairs, there is currently no specific standard of the site release criteria for site reuse in the Republic of Korea. In this study, we analyzed the international safety standards for the site release(IAEA's Safety Guide No. WS-G-5.1) and the present domestic condition. Also, we studied the site release criteria and real life examples about advanced countries such as United states and Europe, which already have experience of decommissioning or site release. As a results of the study, we suggested proper standards and future consideration to establish site release criteria. This will be used for preliminary data for establishing the domestic site release criteria after the decommissioning of nuclear power plants.

  • In September, 2008, the government has amended the National Territory Planning Act" by adding criteria to designate the Impact Fee Zone on the basis of the increase rate of the development permit. Since the permits are issued to scattered parcels on the individual basis, however, it renders significant difficulties in accurately figuring out the finite local areas that exceed such legal criteria. This study, in this context, tries to join the development permit time-series data with the Korea Land Information System (KLIS) so that, with the aid of the landform layer and existing infrastructure layer, it could pinpoint the local area where the development activities are concentrating. Taking a sector in Yangpyong County as the case, the study practically demonstrates as to how the designation process is geospatially processed.

  • Since about 70 percent of the territory is mountainous, more tunnels are constructed in Korea for maximizing the development efficiency. With the increasing number of tunnel construction, safe construction in tunnels has been emerged as the utmost important subject. Recently, the number of long tunnel construction is steeply increased because of the request for high speed and straight road. In this study, a safe tunneling method using numerical modeling of rock blocks in long tunnels is proposed, and then applied to the long tunnel based on real discontinuity information observed in situ. It is possible to detect key blocks all along the tunnel exactly by using the numerical analysis program developed for the safe tunneling method using numerical modeling of rock blocks. This computer simulation method with user-friendly interfaces can calculate not only the stability of rock blocks but also the design of supplementary supports.

  • The technologies of 3D spatial information, such as Smart City and Digital Twins, are developing rapidly for managing land and solving urban problems scientifically. In this construction of 3D spatial information, an object using aerial photo images is built as a digital DB. Realistically, the task of extracting a texturing image, which is an actual image of the object wall, and attaching an image to the object wall are important. On the other hand, occluded areas occur in the texturing image. In this study, the ResNet algorithm in deep learning technologies was tested to solve these problems. A dataset was constructed, and the street tree was detected using the ResNet algorithm. The ability of the ResNet algorithm to detect the street tree was dependent on the brightness of the image. The ResNet algorithm can detect the street tree in an image with side and inclination angles.

  • In order to solve the floor impact sound problem in the upper and lower floors, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs also notifies the physical properties of the resilient material affecting the floor impact sound level. The dynamic modulus of elasticity and the loss factor before and after heating are most related to the floor impact noise, especially for the cushioning material. Therefore, in this study, the rate of change with respect to the dynamic modulus and loss factor with temperature change was examined by increasing $10^{\circ}C$ by $10^{\circ}C$ from the temperature condition of $70^{\circ}C$ specified in the standard. The dynamic modulus of elasticity and the loss modulus were measured by using the pulse excitation method for eight kinds of samples. The calculation method was calculated by the time series analysis method using the damped vibration waveform.
