The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between cultural identity and the psychosocial adjustment levels of children in international marriage families by focusing on the effects that different types of cultural identity have on children's overall psychosocial adjustment. The data for this study came from a survey conducted on 122 third to sixth grades children with foreign mothers living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do. As a result, it was found that children's identification with Korean culture was on average higher than their identification with their mother's culture. Secondly, in terms of identity type, assimilation and separation types appeared to be the most dominant, followed by the integration and marginalization types. Finally, it was found that cultural identities had significant effects on children's psychosocial adjustment in international marriage families. In particular, the level of self-esteem was the highest for children in the integrated group, while it was the lowest for those in the marginalized group. These results indicate that identification with the mother's culture is just as important as one's Korean identity when it comes to determining the degree of psychosocial adjustment of children in international marriage families.

This study investigated the attachment representation, self-perception, and social competence of preschoolers of interracial families in rural areas. Participants were 60 3- to 5-year-old preschoolers with Korean father-other Asian national mother group and 91 3- to 5-year-old preschoolers with Korean father-Korean mother group in rural areas. Results were that 58% of preschool children of interracial families were securely attached, 30% were insecure-disorder type, and 12% were insecure-avoidance type. Preschool children of interracial families were rated by their teachers as showing more withdrawn behaviors and prosocial behaviors than preschool children of Korean parents. A sex difference in the interracial family group showed boys with more withdrawn behaviors than girls.

우리 사회는 국제결혼과 외국인 근로자 수가 증가하면서 다문화가정이 빠른 속도로 증가하고 있다. 다문화가정의 자녀들에게 교육할 때 학습자들의 수준이 다양하여 교육용 콘텐츠를 활용한 수업지도 방안이 필요하다. 따라서 교육용 콘텐츠가 다문화가정 아동에게 투입되기 위해 기존 개발되어 있는 교육용 콘텐츠를 다문화가정 아동 교육에 활용할 수 있는지를 평가하기 위한 평가 도구를 개발하였다. 이를 통하여 교육용 콘텐츠를 활용한 다문화 교육을 실시하도록 하며, 다문화 교육을 위한 교육용 콘텐츠 개발방향에 도움을 주고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the ways in international married couples perceive the lives of their spouses as well as their own, and the ways in which they perceive their relationships with their children. In addition, the study attempts to explore the implicit meanings at work in the lives of international married families. The participants in this study were eight international married couples from rural areas and the data were gathered by means of semi-structured interviews. According to the findings, international married couples perceived their relationships with their children in terms of individual-specific maternal roles versus the Korean culturally-specific paternal roles. Secondly, in terms of their spouse' life, husbands relied more on their wives and had high expectations of them. On the other hand, wives had the tendency to pay more attention and place more hope on their children rather than their husbands. Lastly, regarding their own lives, the findings revealed that wives tended to maintain the hope and desire for a better life, whereas the husbands were unable to adapted to their reality and tended to look back on the past. In addition, the limitations of this study and suggestions for future studies were also discussed.

최근 국제결혼이 증가하면서 국내 다문화가정의 아동 수 역시 급증하는 추세이다. 하지만 이 아동들은 소수인종이라는 특성으로 인해 여러 사회적 차별에 노출되어 있으며, 이러한 차별경험은 이들에게 일종의 스트레스요인으로 작용하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 다문화가정 아동의 차별경험이 아동의 심리적 디스트레스에 미치는 영향과 사회적지지의 매개효과에 대해 분석하는데 목적을 두고 대전광역시, 충청남도, 충청북도 지역의 25개 초등학교에 재학 중인 다문화가정 아동들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 차별경험은 다문화가정 아동의 우울 및 불안감에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 나타났으며 즉, 차별을 많이 경험한 아동은 그렇지 않은 아동에 비해 우울 및 불안 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부모지지, 또래지지, 교사지지를 통해 알아본 사회적지지의 매개효과 분석 결과, 또래지지만 통계적으로 유의한 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 다문화가정 아동의 차별경험은 이들의 또래지지를 약화시키며 약화된 지지체계는 이들의 우울 및 불안수준을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났는데 이는 사회적 지지 약화모델의 유의함을 검증하는 결과이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 다문화가정 아동에 대한 사회복지적 함의를 제시하였다.

다문화주의는 문화적 다양성을 장려하는 생각이나 정책을 말한다. 통계청의 자료에 따르면, 우리나라도 1990년대 이후로 꾸준히 국제결혼이 증가하면서, 2010년에는 다문화 가정이 38만 6977가구로 나타났으며 사회적 영향력과 문제점을 가지고 있다. 그 중 하나로 다문화 가정 자녀의 학교생활에 대한 적응과 다양성 존중을 위한 다문화 아동에 대한 이해로, 본 논문에서는 학생, 교직원, 시민들이 참여하여 다문화에 대한 다양성을 학습하고 이해하여 소통할 수 있는 모바일 서비스를 제안한다.

국제결혼으로 인해 증가하고 있는 한국 내 다문화 가정의 자녀들은 다양한 사회·심리적 어려움을 겪고 있으며 이를 보완하기 위해서는 부모자녀 관계에 주목할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 부모자녀 관계의 질이 다문화 가정 자녀의 사회적응에 있어서 중요한 변수라고 보았고, 한 가정 내에 한국어 및 계승어 두 가지 언어가 공존하는 한국 다문화 가정의 특성을 고려하고자 하였다. 따라서 한국인 부모와 청소년 자녀의 계승어 유창성 일치도와 외국인 부모와 청소년 자녀의 한국어 유창성 일치도에 따라 부모관계 만족도가 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 여성가족부(한국여성정책연구원)에서 실시한 2012년 전국다문화가족실태조사의 청소년 자녀 데이터와 그들의 부모 데이터를 병합하여 총 4314명의 청소년 데이터를 다층선형회귀 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면 부모자녀 간 한국어와 계승어 유창성 일치도는 부모관계 만족도에 각각 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 주었고, 한국어나 계승어를 모두 유창하게 하는 집단, 청소년과 부모 중 한쪽만 유창하게 하는 집단, 둘 다 유창하지 않은 집단 순으로 부모관계 만족도를 나타내었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다문화 가정 내의 건강한 가족관계 형성의 중요성을 강조하고 현재 시행되고 있는 다문화 정책에 대해 새로운 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

주관적 안녕감이 소수집단에 대한 태도의 측면에서 어떠한 결과를 산출하는지 검토했다. 이를 위해서 먼저 주관적 안녕감과 소수집단에 대한 태도의 횡단적 관계를 검토하는 예비연구를 실시했다. 그 결과, 주관적 안녕감이 높은 청소년은 외국인 노동자나 국제결혼 가정의 자녀들에 대해서 우호적인 생각과 느낌, 행동을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국아동·청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 자료를 활용하여 주관적 안녕감과 소수집단에 대한 태도의 종단적 관계를 검토했다. 그 결과, 주관적 안녕감의 초기값과 변화율은 2년 후 소수집단에 대한 태도를 예측했다. 구체적으로 초등학교 5학년 시기에 주관적 안녕감이 높은 청소년은 동일시기(초5) 뿐 아니라 2년 후 중1이 되었을 때에도 소수집단에 대한 태도가 우호적이었다. 또한 이 기간 동안 주관적 안녕감은 감소하는 추세였으며, 주관적 안녕감이 적게 감소한 청소년들이 중1이 되었을 때 소수집단에 대한 태도가 더 긍정적이었다. 이러한 결과는 행복이 긍정적인 다문화 태도를 형성하는데 기여할 가능성이 있으며, 현재 행복을 통해 미래 한국 사회의 특징이 예측될 수 있음을 시사한다.
