All sports injuries are recorded on injury report form by physicians, medical staffs and athletic trainer, and only acute and recurred injuries were analyzed. Total 3,421 injuries were reported, and 1,560 injuries were newly incurred and 1,861 injuries were recurrent with previous history. The frequency of new injuries in male and female athletes was highest in boxing (n=130, 14.5%) and hockey (n=75, 11.3%) respectively. The frequency of recurred injuries in male and female athletes was highest in wrestling (n=147, 14.8%) and fencing (n=103, 11.9%) respectively. Our data provides incidence rates, characteristics of acute and recurrent sports injuries during official training period and thus these results could provide relevant information for the sports injury prevention at Korea National Team player.

  • This study was analyzed using Giorgi (1985)'s phenomenological research method to find the essential meaning of the strengths inherent in the experience of national players. The research participants selected the final six athletes who wanted to participate in the national team's individual and team events using the Purposeful sampling method. In-depth interviews were conducted from September to December 2019, and 90 to 180 minutes were conducted once and two in-depth interviews were conducted for each athletes. As a result, categories were derived from 17 sub-factors, 5 factors, and 5 factors were found to make good habits, make my own weapons, think positively, simplify and maintain good condition. The five factors shown in the results are used as strengths when they are voluntarily done, and these strengths create a chance and vitality for players to truly like their sport. These character strengths are expected to be used as positive information for players' development of positive psychology programs and psychological skills training.

The research method was analyzed based on the records of all injuries experienced by national judo athletes during training and competition for 9 years from 2008 to 2016. A total of 20,345 sports injuries requiring physical therapy were 10,768 (52.93%) for women, 9,577 (47.07%) for men, lower extremities 9,688 (47.62%), upper limbs 5,807 (28.54%), and trunk 4,850 (23.84%) and knee-related injuries (27.82%) occur more frequently than other injuries. Shoulders, feet and back were more frequent in male athletes, and ankle, neck and hand injuries were more common in female athletes. Using the binomial trend line, the trend of the decrease of sports injuries in each area was shown. However, infrequent injuries such as hands and hips tend to increase gradually. • The purpose of this paper is to identify whether the national baseball squad made up of the best players may get the outstanding results in the international competitions or not. Using Data Envelopment Analysis, the relative efficiency of players in Korean Baseball Organization is estimated as performance measure, and compared with the efficiency scores of national squad members. The paper focuses on the proper choice of DEA model in a baseball setting, thereby selecting the BCC model with non-discretionary variable. Two input variables(plate appearances and stolen bases to enforce) and three output variables(runs, on-base plus slugging and stolen base percentage) are used to evaluate the efficiency of the baseball players. Results showed that 22 players among 97 players were classified as efficient and 8 players among 12 national squad members were as efficient. These findings indicate a potential for DEA to be a major part of the analytical approaches in evaluating the relative efficiency of players.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the risk factors of injury by FMS and to investigate the effects of 12-weeks' combined training program on body imbalance, physical fitness, muscle strength and FMS score in woman rugby players of the national team. Fourteen subjects were woman rugby national players to participate in the 17th Incheon Asian Games. These players tested FMS and performed 12 weeks' (May~Aug, 2014) combined training program (4days, 120min${\geq}$). Statistical evaluation was undertaken using paired t-test (pre vs. post). The results of this study were as follows; Frist, the score of FMS test on Deep Squat, Hurdle Step, Active Straight Leg Raise, and Trunk Stability Push up were significantly increased after 12 weeks' combined training program (p<.05), and also Inline Lunge (p<.01) and Rotary Stability (p<.001) were significantly increased. However, Shoulder Mobility was not significantly increased(p=.104) although the tendency of increased was FMS score. Second, the sum of the entire item was significantly increased after combined training(p<.001). These results suggest that 12-weeks' combined training program has effect of improving FMS score and low-injury risk in woman rugby national players. Therefore, we consider that FMS have effect on prevention of athletic injury and improvement of athletic performance in woman rugby national players.
