Simplified seismic analysis of underground rectangular structures (박스 지하 구조물의 간편 내전해석)

  • There are basically two methods for the seismic design of underground structures ; analytical or pseudo-static, and dynamical method. In pseudo-static analysis approach, the ground deformations are imposed as a static load and soil-structure interaction does not include dynamic or wave propagation effects. However the behavior of soil structure interaction is nonlinear, it needs to consider nonlinear soil-structure interaction effects. In this study simplified seismic analysis method to consider soil-structure interaction by iterative procedure is proposed and the results are compared and analyzed by a finite difference computer program.

  • In Biology, Studies Using Electron Microscopy for making Cell Structure to 3D reconstruction very fast development. Recently, by using Cryo fixation, we can see cell 3D structure without structural change, instead of using chemical fixation which can change cell structure. Before using this technology, we could understand cell structures only in 2D images. But now, through cryo-ET, 3D reconstruction of cell structure without artificial structure changes can be possible and this technology will give us many advantages in Drug delivery and Nanothechnology.

  • 여러 장점을 가지고 점차 그 사용이 증가하고 있는 XML은 내용뿐만 아니라 그 구조적 정보까지 포함하고 있는 특징을 가지고 있는데, 이러한 XML 문서를 효율적으로 검색하기 위해 구조 유사성을 기반으로 하는 검색 기법이 개발되고 있다. 새롭게 개발되는 유사한 구조의 XML 문서를 검색하는 시스템의 성능 평가를 위해서는 구조적으로 유사한 다량의 XML 데이터가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 지금까지 개발되었던 유사 구조 문서 생성기를 바탕으로 사용자가 원하는 데이터 구조를 생성하는데 보다 효과적인, 유사 구조를 갖는 XML 문서 생성기인 xTrans를 설계 및 구현한다. xTrans는 원본 XML 문서에 삽입, 삭제, 치환의 세 가지 연산을 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 일정한 비율만큼의 구조적 변화를 일으키는데, 그러한 연산은 불규칙한 위치에서 생성되므로, 같은 비율의 변화가 일어난 여러 개의 유사 구조 문서를 생성할 수 있다. 사용자는 각 연산의 변형 비율을 지정해주어 원하는 만큼 변형시킨 문서를 생성하고, 이 문서들을 이용하여 새롭게 개발되는 유사 구조 문서 검색 시스템의 성능평가에 활용할 수 있다.

유한요소법에 의한 타이어의 변형해석

  • 유한요소법에 의하여 축대칭 정적하중을 받는 승용차용 래디알 타이어의 변형을 해석하였다. 요소는 8절점 parabolic-isoparametric 요소를 사용하였으며 타이어를 구성하는 cord-rubber복합체를 선형직교성을 갖는다고 가정하고, 그 복합체의 물성치를 간단한 식으로 표시하여 적용하였다. 공기압으로 인해 변형된 모양 및 cord에 작용하는 장력을 계산해 냈으며 이 변형된 모양을 plaster cast를 이용하여 측정한 실험치와 비교하였다. 또 타이어를 구성하는 구조가 달라지면 공기압으로 인하여 변형형태가 어떻게 변화하는가를 계산해 보았다. 이 결과로 belt의 cord수가 감소하거나 belt cord angle이 증가하면 타이어 외경이 증가함을 알 수 있다.

  • 대부분의 금속 재료는 제조 공정 중에 인장, 압축, 압연, 압출, 인발 등 소성 변형을 수반하는 가공의 단계를 거치게 된다. 가공 단계에서 가해준 변형률 및 이에 따라 형성된 전위구조 등은 생산재의 기계적 성질에 많은 영향을 미친다. 그리고 소성 변형이 수반되는 또 하나의 과정은 피로, 크리프 손상 등의 소성 변형을 수반하게 되는 기계적 손상이다 이러한 기계적 손상에 의해서도 전위가 도입되며, 전위의 집적부위에서 균열이 생성되기도 한다. 따라서 기계적 손상을 비파괴적으로 평가하는데 있어서도 소성 변형의 영향을 파악하는 것이 하나의 중요한 문제가 된다.(중략)

Development of Hybrid Three Dimensional Beach Deformation Model and Its Application (복합 3차원 해빈변형모델의 구축과 그 적용)

  • Construction of a large offshore structure in coastal area may cause serious morphological changes for a wide region ranging from shoreline to offshore behind the structure. Shin et at. [2000] and Shin and Hong [2004] identified the sediment transport patterns behind the large offshore structure through a series of three dimensional movable bed experiments. In present study, a hybrid three dimensional beach deformation model was suggested based on those sediment transport mechanisms revealed by experimental results of the preceding studies. The model was verified by the results of the three dimensional moveable bed experiments and they agreed well not only in reappeared tombolo in shoreline side but also in the erosion and deposition region behind offshore structure. In addition, the model was applied to real beach deformation problem, which was occurred by construction of artificial offshore islands, and it validates the applicability of the model.

  • The fundamental frequency maximization of beam structures is carried out by using strain energy based topology optimization technique. It mainly uses the modal strain energy distributions induced by the mode shapes of the structures. The modal strain energy to be minimized is employed as the objective function and the initial volume of structures is adopted as the constraint function. The resizing algorithm devised from the optimality criteria method is used to update the hole size of the cell existing in each finite element. The beams with three different boundary conditions are used to investigate the optimum topologies against natural mode shapes. From numerical test, it is found to be that the optimum topologies of the beams produced by the adopted technique have hugh increases in some values of natural frequencies and especially the technique is very effective to maximize the fundamental frequency of the structures.

  • In this study, finite element analysis was performed to evaluate the track irregularity of the existing track system on urban transit according to the large-scale excavation work that is constructed adjacent to the serviced line. Based on the numerical analysis, the effect of track irregularity generated during the step-by-step construction process was analytically derived, and the stability in terms of track deformation was evaluated through comparison with related standards. As the results, in the case of track irregularity items evaluated based on the relative displacement difference at a certain distance, such as alignment and vertical irregularity, it occurred most clearly at the location where deformation of the existing structure begins, such as the end point of adjacent excavation work. On the other hand, the overall vertical and horizontal displacement of the track was the largest deformation at the center of the construction section. The vulnerable position of the deformed side of the existing structure due to adjacent excavation is analytically proven that the both of the end point section and the center of the construction can be a vulnerable position in terms of track irregularity.

An Analytical Study on System Identification of Steel Beam Structure for Buildings based on Modified Genetic Algorithm (변형 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 건물 철골 보 구조물의 시스템 식별에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • In the buildings, the systems of structures are influenced by the gravity load changes due to room alteration or construction stage. This paper proposes a system identification method establishing mass as well as stiffness to parameters in model updating process considering mass change in the buildings. In this proposed method, modified genetic algorithm, which is optimization technique, is applied to search those parameters while minimizing the difference of dynamic characteristics between measurement and FE model. To search more global solution, the proposed modified genetic algorithm searches in the wider search space. It is verified that the proposed method identifies the system of structure appropriately through the analytical study on a steel beam structure in the building. The comparison for performance of modified genetic algorithm and existing simple genetic algorithm is carried out. Furthermore, the existing model updating method neglecting mass change is performed to compare with the proposed method.

3-Dimensional Analysis for Nonlinear Wave Forces Acting on Dual Vertical Columns and Their Nonlinear Wave Transformations (복수 연직 주상구조물에 작용하는 비선형파력과 구조물에 의한 비선형파랑변형의 3차원해석)

  • In the present work, wave transformation by vertical columns and its wave forces acting on them are discussed using a direct 3-D numerical model based on the VOF (Volume Of Fluid) method. The numerical results for wave transformations and wave forces are critically compared to an advanced experimental data, and provide the verification of the numerical model used in the present study. Overall model-data comparisons are good. After verification of the numerical model, it is used to simulate wave fields around dual vertical columns with arbitrary cross section, and the characteristics of nonlinear wave forces and wave transformations according to the variations of different cross section types of vertical columns, an interval of vertical columns and incident wave angle are discussed.
