Metadata IR model has high precision and low recall because the query in Metadata IR model is strict that is, the query can express user information need exactly, while Full-text IR model has low precision and high recall because the query in Full-text IR model is a kind of simple keyword query which expresses user information need roughly. If user can translate one's information need into structured query well, the retrieval result will be improved. However, it is little possible to make relevant query without understanding characteristics of metadata. Unfortunately, most users do not interested in metadata, then they cannot construct well-made structured query. Amount of information contained in metadata is less than text information. In this paper, we suggest hybrid IR model using metadata and text which can provide users with lots of relevant documents by retrieving from metadata field and text field complementarily.

메타 데이터와 데이터의 처리 경로를 독립시킨 분산 파일 시스템 구조는 입출력 성능향상 및 확장성 용이라는 측면에서 현재 주도적인 아키텍처로 사용되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 클라이언트 및 데이터 서버의 수가 계속 확장되어 전체 시스템 규모가 페타(peta) 바이트급 이상 처리가 가능한 대규모로 진화될 경우 필연적으로 메타 데이터 서버에 병목 현상이 발생하게 된다. 본 고에서는 이러한 문제를 처리하기 위한 아키텍처로서 메타 데이터 서버들의 클러스터링을 고려하며, 이를 위해 제안된 다양한 기술들의 동작 원리 및 장단점 등을 분석하고 고찰해 보기로 한다.

This research proposed an approach for interlinking bibliographic data used in the existing multicultural institutions in order to support information services of multicultural institutions. It constructed a set of linkage properties that can link the FRBR-based BIBFRAME structure with the existing metadata standards currently adopted in multicultural institutions, including MODS, EAD, and CDWA. As a result, the descriptive elements for the Work level, Instance level, Item level, statement of responsibility, subjects were established in the BIBFRAME syntax. A total of 19 upper level elements, 18 sub-elements, and 12 linkage properties were proposed for the linking of bibliographic data, so that a bibliographic environment was established that can interconnect heterogeneous metadata adopted depending on the types of collections. Through the proposed structure, it is expected that it can be applied to provide sufficient information services more efficiently by linking the dispersed bibliographic data of multicultural institutions in an integrated way.

The purpose of this study is to develop descriptive metadata elements of contents of oral history records. First, the meaning of contents in transcripts and detailed interview lists, as well as the characteristics of metadata for oral history records, were examined. Second, elements related contents of domestic and international oral history metadata were compared to identify 18 elements, then streamlined 12 elements were set by removing duplicates. Third, 12 elements were compared with detailed interview lists based on transcripts of 6 interviewees who had interviews on knit business in Haebangchon. The result of this study discovered 1 additional element that designated as 'basic' and these were further categorized into 15 element of 'enhanced'. These elements are expected to contribute to expanding the scope of utilization of oral history records by supporting the structure and expression of that contents.

The purpose of this study is to develop a metadata AP for managing the person and organization name authority data in the National Debt Redemption Movement Digital Archive, a small-scale digital archive. The design principles and core metadata elements were derived by analyzing person/organization(group or corporateBody) metadata standards, implementation practices, and guidelines of libraries and archives, and mapped to the National Debt Redemption Movement person/organization name thesaurus data and the Wikidata Linked Metadata Model, resulting in 10 elements in the identification area, 14 elements in the content area, 8 elements in the relationship area, and 4 elements in the control area. A simple structure schema was applied so that it can be applied even in small organizations, and for interoperability, the schema was proposed with reference to DublinCore and SKOS schemes, and the applicability was confirmed based on actual data. The results of this study can be utilized as a basis for institutions that recognize the importance of data management but have difficulty in applying it in practice, when they want to prepare a system for managing their own authority data.

최근 무선통신의 발전과 스마트 폰 사용자의 급격한 증가로 인하여 멀티미디어 콘텐츠에 대한 관심과 요구가 급속히 증대되고 있다. 이를 수용하기 위한 이동통신 시스템 환경 역시 급속도로 변하고 있으며, 그중 LTE 시스템에 대한 관심과 개발이 진행되고 있는 상황이다. 이에 따라 개발단계부터 안정화단계까지 해당 시스템의 프로토콜 검증과 분석을 위한 분석기의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 LTE 프로토콜과 연동 메시지를 XML 메타데이터로 기술한 에이전트-서버 구조의 프로토콜 분석기를 제안한다. 제안하는 프로토콜 분석기는 LTE 시스템에 최적화된 프로토콜 분석이 가능하고 연동 규격 변경시에도 XML 메타데이터 수정만으로 적용가능하다.

동영상 데이타는 2차원의 이미지가 시간에 따라 변화하는 3차원의 데이타로 볼 수 있으며, 동영상 내에 등장하는 객체 등의 컨텐츠를 효율적으로 검색하고 브라우징 하는데 복잡한 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 메타데이터가 포함된 동영상을 모바일 환경에서 효과적으로 브리우징 할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 대규모 메타데이터의 효율적 전송을 고려한 저장 구조 및 전송 방법을 개선하여 불필요한 네트워크 트래픽을 줄임으로서 네트워크 대역폭의 제약이 큰 모바일 환경에서도 어려움 없이 사용자 참여형의 동영상 스트리밍 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기법을 제시한다.

현대사회의 제품생산과 기업활동에서 소프트웨어의 중요성과 그 가치가 날로 높아져 가는 가운데 소프트웨어 기술혁신은 과거 소프트웨어 산업 영역에 국한되었던 비교적 작은 구조에서 이제는 다양한 산업 영역에서 다발적으로 일어나는 보다 넓은 구조로 변모하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 한국 출원인이 포함된 약 270만 건의 특허 메타데이터와 기업정보 데이터를 활용한 패널데이터를 구축하여 한국 산업계 전반에 걸쳐 일어나고 있는 소프트웨어 기술혁신의 구조 변동 현상을 밝혀내고, 이를 토대로 정부의 소프트웨어 산업 정책에 관한 함의를 도출하고자 한다. 이 연구는 다음의 네 부분으로 구성이 된다. 첫째, 최근 여러 분야에서 일어나고 있는 소프트웨어와 타 산업 간의 융합 현상과 이에 대한 이론적 논의를 전개한다. 둘째, 연구에 활용 할 데이터와 실증분석 방법론에 관하여 논의한다. 셋째, 패널분석을 기초로 한 실증분석을 수행하고, 그 결과를 제시한다. 넷째, 한국정부의 소프트웨어 산업 정책을 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 실증분석 결과가 지니는 함의에 관하여 논의한다.

기존 클라이언트 캐쉬 데이터에 기반된 질의 처리에 있어 캐쉬 데이터와 서버 데이터간의 동일성과 데이터 전송 문제를 해결하기 위해 에이전트 기반 클라이언트-서버구조를 제안한다. 서버 데이터가 변하지 않았을 경우 데이터 전송량을 감소시키는 유용한 방법으로, pull, push 기법을 사용한다. 서버 리소스 에이전트에서 데이터베이스 변경 정보를 브로커 에이전트에 push하고, 클라이언트 에이전트가 요구하는 질의에 대해서 브로커 에이전트에게 변경 정보를 pull한다.

This paper proposes an XML based Multimedia Annotation and Retrieval System, which can represent and retrieve video data efficiently using XML. The system provides a graphical user interface for annotating, searching, and browsing multimedia data. It is Implemented based on the hierarchical metadata model to represent multimedia information. The metadata about video is organized based on multimedia description schema using XML Schema that basically conforms to the MPEG-7 standard. Also, for the effective indexing and retrieval of multimedia data, video segments are annotated and categorized using the closed caption.
