A study on overlapped configuration and Meta-simulation on Open-world (오픈 월드 게임의 중첩적 구성과 메타시뮬레이션 고찰)

  • The overall aim of this research was to explore Open-world game through the notion of Paidia and Ludus that proposed by Frasca. As a structured simulation system, the Open World overlap Non-linear events and Linear quests via geographic world. Building own sequence of explore the world with Paidia process, Player collides with the pre-scripted quest. In result of that Meta-Simulator emerge as alternative tool for modeling Meta-Simulation, which presents an alternative, extended use of gameplay.

Effect of Structured Debriefing on the Learning Outcomes of Nursing Students in Simulation-based Education (간호대학생의 시뮬레이션기반 교육 시 구조화된 디브리핑 유형이 학습성과에 미치는 효과)

  • The study investigates how the structured debriefing method affects the learning flow, critical thinking disposition, and clinical performance of nursing students, using the Lasater Clinical Judgment Rubric (LCJR). Nursing students in the 4th grade of P University were divided into three groups, each trying out a different structured debriefing method: the experimental group - structured video debriefing using the LCJR question, the comparative group - structured oral debriefing, and the control group - structured group discussion debriefing. There was no significant difference between the three groups in learning flow (p=.640), critical thinking disposition (p=.420) and clinical performance ability (p=.360). Planning and intervention among the areas of clinical performance were significantly improved in the experimental group compared to the other two groups (p=.005). Structured debriefing when used with LCJR improves the learning flow and critical thinking disposition of students, while structured video debriefing improves clinical performance.

Adaptive Link Recovery Period Determination Algorithm for Structured Peer-to-peer Networks (구조화된 Peer-to-Peer 네트워크를 위한 적응적 링크 복구 주기 결정 알고리듬)

  • Structured P2P (peer-to-peer) networks have received much attention in research communities and the industry. The data stored in structured P2P networks can be located in a log-scale time without using central severs. The link-structure of structured P2P networks should be maintained for keeping log-scale search performance of it. When nodes join or leave structured P2P networks frequently, some links become unavailable and search performance is degraded by these links. To sustain search performance of structured P2P networks, periodic link recovery scheme is generally used. However, when the link recovery period is short or long compared with node join and leave rates, it is possible that sufficient number of links are not restored or excessive messages are used after the link-structure is restored. We propose the adaptive link recovery determination algorithm to maintain the link-structure of structured P2P networks when the rates of node joining and leaving are changed dynamically. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can maintain similar QoS under various node leaving rates.

Studying Major Factor Using PC1D Simulation for Optimization of Solar Cell (PC1D 시뮬레이션을 이용해 태양전지 효율 최적화를 위한 주요 인자 연구)

  • 결정질 실리콘 웨이퍼를 이용한 고효율 태양전지를 제작하기 위해서는 반드시 고려해야 할 주요 인자들이 있다. 그 중에서도 Base resistivity, Thickness, Doping concentration, Texture size, Texture angle등의 주요 인자를 PC1D 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용하여 최적화 해 보았다. 그 결과, Base resistivity값은 낮을수록 좋으나 지나치게 낮을 경우 재결합으로 인해 효율이 떨어지기 때문에 Base resistivity = $1{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$에서 최대 효율을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한, Thickness는 두꺼울수록 R=${\rho}$(L/A)의 식에 의해 직렬저항이 증가하여 효율이 감소하므로 Thickness = $200{\mu}m$ 정도가 적정 값임을 확인할 수 있었다. Doping concentration의 경우 높을수록 재결합으로 인해 효율이 떨어지며 Doping concentration = $3.69{\times}10^{-20}cm^{-3}$에서 가장 좋은 효율을 보였다. Textrure size와 Textrure angle은 그 값이 클수록 빛의 흡수 정도가 증가해 효율이 증가함을 볼 수 있었고 Textrure size = $2{\sim}4{\mu}m$, Texture angle = $79^{\circ}$에서 높은 효율을 보여주었다. 이와 같은 조건에서 고효율 태양전지를 제작을 위한 시뮬레이션을 한 결과, 16.23%의 변환효율을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 먼저 노무현 정부의 부동산 정책이 어떠한 정책 실패의 요인들을 안고 있는지를 논의한다. 그리고 이러한 정책 실패 요인들이 어떻게 지속적으로 작동할 수 있었는지를 심층적으로 살펴보기 위하여 부동산 정책 시스템에 관한 정책결정자 및 정책 비판자의 인지지도를 구축하고, 이를 기반으로 하여 시뮬레이션모델을 구축하고 시뮬레이션 결과를 논의한다. 본 논문에서 구축된 인지지도와 시스템 다이내믹스 모델은 정책 실패가 어떻게 구조화될 수 있는지를 보다 심층적으로 논의할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

Impact of Pre-briefing using Structured Video in the Pre-hospital Trauma Care Simulation-based Education (시뮬레이션 기반 병원 전 외상 교육 과정에서 구조화된 동영상을 적용한 사전브리핑이 몰입감, 자신감, 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to examine the impacts of pre-briefing using structured video simulations in the pre-hospital trauma care simulation-based education on simulation immersion, simulation confidence, and simulation satisfaction. For both the experimental group and the control group, orientations were conducted on the simulation environment. Subsequently, the experimental group watched a video of about 8 minutes, similar to the scenario situation, in which the goal and result of the training were presented. The control group, on the other hand, conducted a classical way of orientation related to the scenario during the same time period. In addition, the experimental group and the control group underwent simulation practice in the same situation for 12 minutes, and debriefing was performed for 40 minutes by the same research assistant. Afterwards, we measured the simulation immersion, confidence, and satisfaction of the participants. Data were analyzed using χ2 and independent t-test using the SPSS 22.0 program. It was found that the experimental group that conducted the pre-briefing using video had higher immersion and confidence than the control group. On the other hand, satisfaction was not significantly different between the two groups. The results indicate that pre-briefing using structured video was an effective educational method to increase simulation immersion and simulation confidence.

  • The purpose of the study was to compare the effects of two instructional methods, which were the instructor-led instruction and the simulation delivery instruction on students' well-structured and ill-structured problem solving performance and motivation. 29 undergraduate students participated in the study and repeated measure design was used. We found significant difference of means in ill-structured problem solving performance and only relevance scale in motivation.

Structured DEVS Formalism: A Structural Modelling Method of Discrete Event Systems (Structured DEVS Formalism: 이산사건 시스템의 구조적 모델링 기법)

  • In recent decades, it has been known that the Discrete Event System Specification, or DEVS, formalism provides sound semantics to design a modular and hierarchical model of a discrete event system. In spite of this benefit, practitioners have difficulties in applying the semantics to real-world systems modeling because DEVS needs to specify a large size of sets of events and/or states in an unstructured form. To resolve the difficulties, this paper proposes an extension of the DEVS formalism, called the Structured DEVS formalism, with an associated graphical representation, called the DEVS diagram, by means of structural representation of such sets based on closure property of set theory. The proposed formalism is proved to be equivalent to the original DEVS formalism in their model specification, yet the new formalism specifies sets in a structured form with a concept of phases, variables and ports. A simplified example of the structured DEVS with the DEVS diagram shows the effectiveness of the proposed formalism which can be easily implemented in an objected-oriented simulation environment.

A New Dynamic Prediction Algorithm for Highway Traffic Rate (고속도로 통행량 예측을 위한 새로운 동적 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, a dynamic prediction algorithm using the cumulative distribution function for traffic volume is presented as a new method for predicting highway traffic rate more accurately, where an approximation function of the cumulative distribution function is obtained through numerical methods such as natural cubic spline interpolation and Levenberg-Marquardt method. This algorithm is a new structure of random number generation algorithm using the cumulative distribution function used in financial mathematics to be suitable for predicting traffic flow. It can be confirmed that if the highway traffic rate is simulated with this algorithm, the result is very similar to the actual traffic volume. Therefore, this algorithm is a new one that can be used in a variety of areas that require traffic forecasting as well as highways.

DEVS-based hybrid modeling and simulation framework in distributed environment (분산처리 환경에서 DEVS 기반 하이브리드 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 프레임워크)

  • 시스템 모델링은 규모와 크기에 따라서 방법이 모두 다르며, 시스템 요구사항에 따라서 설계를 하는 방법이다. 하지만 현재까지의 기법은 개별적인 방법만 고려했기 때문에 시스템 요구사항의 모든 것을 적용하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 따라서 요구사항에 따른 시스템의 완성도를 높이기 위해서는 복합적인 모델링 방법의 접근이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 절차지향 및 객체지향 모델링 방법에 대한 접근을 통합 할 수 있는 DEVS기반 하이브리드 모델링 기법에 대해 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 프로세스와 객체와의 관계를 계층형으로 구조화 시킬 수 있으며, 수학적 명세가 가능하다. 또한, 하이브리드 모델링의 시뮬레이션을 위한 분산처리 환경에서 DEVS 기반 하이브리드 시뮬레이션에 대해 제안을 한다. 제안하는 모델을 통해서 복잡한 시스템에 대한 명세와 검증이 가능하다.
