Data Preprocessing Method for Lightweight Automotive Intrusion Detection System (차량용 경량화 침입 탐지 시스템을 위한 데이터 전처리 기법)

  • This paper proposes a sliding window method with frame feature insertion for immediate attack detection on in-vehicle networks. This method guarantees real-time attack detection by labeling based on the attack status of the current frame. Experiments show that the proposed method improves detection performance by giving more weight to the current frame in CNN computation. The proposed model was designed based on a lightweight LeNet-5 architecture and it achieves 100% detection for DoS attacks. Additionally, by comparing the complexity with conventional models, the proposed model has been proven to be more suitable for resource-constrained devices like ECUs.

  • Generally, the frame design of a vehicle is a critical technology that plays an important role in the racing and high performance sports car market. The high performance of race car frame means that it requires high torsional stiffness because it directly affects the cornering behavior of the race car. The optimal design for the frame of a low-cost single seat race car was carried out using the DOE (Design Of Experiments) with Taguchi's orthogonal array and FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis to secure sufficient torsional stiffness in this paper. According to the results by DOE and FEM analysis, the optimal design case produced improved 10.7% and 14.5% improvement in each stiffness-to-weight ratio and frame weight than in the early design step. Therefore, this paper shows that the optimal design with Taguchi's orthogonal array is very useful and effective for designing a tubular space frame of a low-cost single seat race car in the early design step.

  • In this paper, optimal designs of bicycle frame were studied for weight reduction of bicycle using carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) and Kevlar-fiber-reinforced plastic (KFRP), respectively. Based on the anisotropic properties of FRP material, stacking angle and thickness optimization were performed under the safety reference of European committee for standardization (CEN) to ensure the stability of bicycle frame. Finally, performances of FRP bicycle frame was evaluated by digital logic method based on the optimized results of weight, strength properties and cost. Then, the optimized bicycle frame composed of each FRPs were evaluated and ranked by total performance values.

  • This paper presents the findings of a comparative study on minimum weight design and sensitivity evaluation using different experimental design methods for the structural design of an active-type deck support frame (DSF) developed for the float-over installation of an of shore plant topside. The thickness sizing variables of the structural members of a passive-type DSF were considered the design factors, and the output responses were defined using the weight and strength performances. The design of the experimental methods applied in the comparative study of the minimum weight design and the sensitivity evaluation were the orthogonal array design, Box- Behnken design, and Latin hypercube design. A response surface method was generated for each design of the experiment to evaluate the approximation performance of the design space exploration according to the experimental design, and the accuracy characteristics of the approximation were reviewed. Regarding the minimum weight design, the design results, such as numerical costs and weight minimization, of the experimental design for the best design case, were evaluated. The Box- Behnken design method showed the optimum design results for the structural design of the passive-type DSF.

기술현황분석 - 알루미늄 차체부품의 SPR 접합기술 동향

  • 자동차 차체 경량화를 위해 알루미늄 스페이스 프레임 구조가 개발되고 있으나, 관재결합이 필요하기 때문에 기존의 저항 점용접이 적용되기 어렵다. 또한, 멤버와 멤버의 연결부에서는 철강재난 고강도 재료의 사용이 요구되므로 이종재료 접합기술이 필요하다. 알루미늄 및 이종재료 접합방법으로는 볼트체결, 클린칭, SPR 접합, 접착재 등이 있으나, SPR 접합은 기계적인 결합방법의 하나로, 일반 리벳공정과는 달리 별도의 홀이 필요없기 때문에 자동화에 용이하며 작업시간도 빠르다. 리벳의 압입 방식으로 판재의 열변형이 거의 없고 친환경적인 공법으로 사용되고 있으며, 소음이 적고, 용접이 불가능한 이종재료의 결합도 가능하다. 무엇보다 자동차 양산용 장비 적용이 용이하기 때문에 기존의 저항 점용접을 대체하기 편리하다. 따라서, 본 글에서는 알루미늄 차체 부품 접합을 위한 SPR 접합공법에 대한 국내외 기술개발 동향을 분석하고, 한국기계연구원에서의 최근 기술개발 내용을 소개하고자 한다.

  • This paper presents the numerical estimation of the fatigue life for the welded parts of the engine frame box of the S60MC-C vessel engine. The time-variations of the effective stresses at the critical points during a piston cycle are computed through the finite element analysis, by applying the dynamic loadings that were analytically derived by the kinematic analysis. The fatigue life of the welded parts is estimated by making use of the hot-spot stress extrapolation and the Palmgrem-Minor cumulative damage rule.

  • Spherical Flying Machine, unlike conventional aircraft structure, is protected by circular frame. This battery-operated propeller machine, which can do vertical take-off and hovering, is under development for indoor and outdoor operation and dubbed as Flying Ball in KARI. In the future, autonomous air vehicle will be constructed for reconnaissance and surveillance application.

  • The theoretical propagation modes of radio waves in the area of Line of Sight(LOS) within Fresnel zone are searched for the available detection ranges in a Marine RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). The structural LOS model to Earth's curvature is proposed and, the calculation method of horizontal distance in a specific radio frequency is also considered in this work As studying results, it is found that the height of antenna to cover the detection ranges and the influences of detection ranges by weather environments can be analyse with the theoretical methods.

  • For the weight reduction of vehicle body up to 20∼30% compared to the conventional monocoque steel body·.in-white, most automotive manufacturers have attempted to develop the aluminum intensive body-in-white using an aluminum space frame. In this paper, the crush tests and simulations for the aluminum extrusions filled with the structural from are performed to evaluate the collapse characteristics of that light weighted material. From these studies. the effectiveness of structural for is evaluated in improving automotive crashworthiness. In order to improve the improve energy absorption capability of the aluminum space frame body, safety design modifications are performed and analyzed based on the suggested collapse initiator concepts and on the application of the aluminum extrusions filled with structural foam. The effectiveness of these design concepts on the frontal and side impact characteristics of the aluminum intensive vehicle structure is investigated and summarized.

  • 최근 발표된 일본 통신사업자들의 1998년도 결산에서 통신시장의 구조변화 현황을 찾아보면 시장의 주역으로 등장하고 있는 분야는 이동전화시장이며, 아직 절대액은 작지만 데이터 통신시장도 성장을 지속하고 있다. 1998년도의 이동전화시장은 휴대전화의 현저한 성장으로 전년도에 비해 15% 증가하였으며, 고정전화시장은 여전히 최대의 통신시장이지만 전년도보다 11%나 마이너스 성장하였다. 바야흐로 고정전화시장은 성숙기를 지나 쇠퇴기를 맞이하고 있는 것이다. 게다가 1998년은 기대하던 ISDN 가입자수의 성장이 전화의 감소를 커버하지를 못했다. 고정전화를 중심사업으로 하고 있는 통신사업자가 전화를 대신할 수입원으로 기대하는 것이 인터넷과 프레임 릴레이 서비스 등의 데이터통신서비스이다. 전기통신사업 수지 전체로 보면 데이터전송 수입규모는 모두 아직 10분의 1에도 미치지 못한다. 다만 이용자는 증가하고 있어 이들의 데이터통신 수지 의존도는 확실히 높아질 것으로 전망된다.
