Structured LDPC Codes for Mobile Multimedia Communication Systems (이동 멀티미디어 통신 시스템을 위한 구조적인 저밀도패리티검사 부호)

  • Error correcting codes with easy variability in code rate and codeword length in addition to powerful error correcting capability are required for present and future mobile multimedia communication systems. And low complexity is also needed for the compact mobile terminals. In general, the irregular random LDPC(low-density parity-check) code is known to have the superior performance among various LDPC codes. But it has inefficiency since the various parity check matrices for various services should be stored for encoding and decoding. The structured LDPC codes which can easily provide various rates and lengths are studied recently. Therefore, the flexibility, memory size, and error performance of various structured LDPC codes are compared and analyzed in this paper. And the most appropriate structured LDPC code is also suggested.

Industrial Structure and Competitiveness of Large Cities in Korea (지방대도시 산업구조와 산업경쟁력 분석)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyse the industrial structure and competitiveness of five large cities in Korea. say Pusan, Taegu, Inchon, Kwangju, and Taejon. These cities are performing more important roles in this borderless society. Industrial competitiveness may not fully represent the competitiveness of a city, rather is one of the major constituents of urban competitiveness. The selected indices representing industrial competitiveness of a city include regional industrial share, location quotient, growth potential. productivity. profitability. The analyses reveal that all the five large cities are required the tasks for industrial restructuring in facing with the rapid deindustrialization trend. Inchon shows relatively competitive position in a number of industries, while the others are revealed weak in most categories of industries.

  • The urban has been improved houses and facilities as accelerating industry and society, while the rural area was inferior to the city. Furthermore, there was not a maintenance in time as ageing, and did not expect to rebuilding of using proper techniques and materials for financial reasons. This study find a way to make a revitalizing plan for appropriate real state. For this, perform a current status survey that 900 rural residences of 36 rural villages in Chungcheong area. As a result, Korean traditional structure is a half in residential type, and has poor residential conditions by comparison with western pattern. The structural type comprises two type that a pure structure and a mixed structure, and Korean traditional structure is a mixed structure more than a pure structure. It is considered continuous changes by a resident due to a pure structure was not satisfy various functions. It need appropriate plan to improve a rural residence for each characteristics.

Structural Transformation of Exports in A Product Space Model: The Case of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Province, Korea (생산물공간 분석에 의한 대구경북 수출산업의 구조전환에 대한 연구)

  • This paper analyzes industries of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk province of the Republic of Korea using the product space model that was developed mid 2000s on the basis of a network analysis framework. The study examines the structure of the product space for the 421 export items at HS 4-digit level after grouping them into 4 categories; classics, emerging champions, marginals and the disappearing products. The results suggest a significant structural transformation in the product space for the local industries and the scope and magnitude of such transformation was rather large. We were also able to confirm that the structural transformation of the product space differs from industry to industry and from group to group. While the approach used is not without shortcomings, our findings also indicate that information extracted from the world merchandise trade by way of product space indicators can be quite useful in identifying structural transformation of industries.

  • As increasing of Internet user and fast development of communication, many security problems occur. Because of Internet is design and development for speed not security, it is weak to attack from malicious user. furthermore attack is more developed to have high efficiency and intelligent. We proposed effective traceback system in network and consider that ability of constitution. Traceback by Selected Router system is consists of managed router and manager system. Selected router marks router ID to packet which passing selected router, and use this router ID for traceback and filtering. Consequently this system reduce damage of attack.

  • The performance of navigational equipments is advanced, but the importance of the practical capability of bridge device by ship's officer, ie the ability of risk prediction and the obligation of avoidance for reducing sea accident, has been constantly augmenting. This abilities and obligation may be represented in the cognitive competence of navigational officer. Different levels of ship's bridge team was carried out rescue maneuvering by ship handling simulator and then it analyzed the resulting of initial response in cognitive progress by case based on trajectory. Further, the data will be used as training and evaluation model of cognitive situation.

  • Because of the difficulty of acquiring new generation sites and right-of-way, additional units have been added to the existing generation sites and the transmission system has been developed into highly meshed configuration. This structural characteristics may cause restriction on the reliable operation of power systems. In other to meet with this problem, the enhancement of system analysis techniques and establishment of appropriate measures have been required in this situation. In addition the deregulation of electric power industry in Korea would require better tools for power system analysis and control. In this paper, exciter system models, speed governor system models and PSS models of EUROSTAG for stability study are developed. Comparison with simulation results of PSS/E is performed for verification of EUROSTAG models.

  • Almost all existing inspection methods for catenary system have relied on dedicated track inspection cars. Two factors make it necessary to modify the conventional method: First, the climate has become increasingly similar to that of a subtropical area. In addition, high speed trains have been developed that can run as fast as 450Km/h. This paper presents a visual catenary inspection system structure that incorporates roadbed information for high-speed running environments. Conventional catenary inspection systems determined the degree of wearing only for the trolley wire. The facility inspection system presented in this paper on the other hand utilizes visual and sound data of inspection targets and adjusts inspection frequency and sensitivity depending on the geographic data.

  • WRF 모형은 실제 자연에서 나타나는 대기 현상의 원인을 물리적 동적 방정식들의 항으로 표현한 수치예보모형으로 전세계의 상업적 비상업적인 수치예보모형 안에서 성능이 뛰어나다고 평가되어지고 있다. WRF 모형은 오픈소스 기반의 비상업적 모형으로 사용 및 수정이 자유로운 특징이 있으며, 위성 및 레이더와 같은 고도화된 다양한 기상관측자료를 입력자료로 활용할 수 있는 장점이 있다. WRF-HYDRO 모형은 WRF 모형이 갖는 공간적인 저해상도 문제를 해결할 수 있는 고해상도의 격자를 구축할 수 있으며 유출량과 수문 변량을 추정할 수 있는 추적 모형을 추가하여 수문학적 예측 능력을 향상하고자 개발되었다. 기존 모형과의 차별성으로는 기상인자로 인하여 도출된 지표면의 수문인자들이 시간의 변동에 따라서 다음 시간의 기상인자에 영향을 미치는 피드백 구조로 구성되어 기상과 지표면이 양방향으로 연결되는 특징이 있다. 기존 모형에 비하여 향상된 구조적인 특징은 수문학적 순환과정을 자연스럽게 재현함으로서 신뢰성 있는 결과를 도출할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 만경강 유역의 실제 유출 사상에 대하여 WRF-HYDRO 모형을 적용하고, 홍수통제소 관할 만경강 유역내 수문 관측소 자료와의 비교를 통해 WRF-HYDRO 모형의 적용성을 검토하였다. 수문 관측소를 통한 검토 결과를 기반으로 WRF-HYDRO 모형에서 제시된 수문-기상 정보를 통하여 만경강 유역의 홍수 사상의 발생 과정에 대한 추적 및 미계측 변량의 추정에 유용하게 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
