  • 본 논문은 가상 공격 시뮬레이션을 위한 공격자 및 리눅스 기반 호스트에 대한 모델링 방법의 제안을 주목적으로 한다. 최근, Amoroso는 보안 메커니즘 중심의 침입 모델을 제안하였으나, 시뮬레이션 접근이 분명치 않은 단점이 있다. 또한, Cohen은 원인-결과 모델을 이용하여 사이버 공격과 방어를 표현한 바 있으나, 개념적 단계의 추상화 모델링으로 인해 실제 적용이 어려운 실정이다. 이를 해결하고자 하는 시도로 항공대 지능시스템 연구실에서 SES/MB 프레임워크를 이용한 네트워크 보안 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 방법을 제안한 바 있으나, 공격에 따른 호스트의 복잡한 변화를 표현하기에는 부족하다. 이러한 문제점들을 해결하고자, 본 논문에서는 시스템의 구조를 표현하는 기존 SES에 합성용 규칙기반 전문가 시스템 방법론을 통합한 Rule-Based SES를 적용하여 공격자를 모델링하고, DEVS를 기반으로 하는 네트워크 구성원을 모델링한다. 제안된 모델링 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 본 논문에서는 샘플 네트워크에 대한 사례연구를 수행한다.

Development of Simulation App for Understanding Test-and-Set Algorithms that Multi Learner Can Use Simultaneously

  • In this study, we developed a simulation app that performs the Test-and-Set algorithm. The test-and-set algorithm is a highly difficult algorithm, so this simulation app was created for learners who have difficulty understanding it. Learners who want to understand the Test-and-Set algorithm gather to form a team, and use this simulation app to discuss and practice, and these teams can practice at the same time. The test-and-set, which is assumed to be a machine language, is not interrupted by using a queue, and it can be seen that the configured simulation app performs well in all three conditions of 'mutual exclusion', 'progress', and 'bounded waiting' that must be solved in the critical area problem.

  • 선회시스템의 수명을 정확히 예측하기 위해서는 굴삭기의 상부회전체 및 선회시스템의 모든 구성요소들의 질량관성모멘트를 고려하여 선회감속기의 수명 평가를 수행해야 한다. 선회감속기의 수명 평가방법은 주로 실험실 시험으로 수행이 되며, 시험 장비는 장비 구축 편의성과 비용 등의 이유로 증속기와 굴삭기 상부회전체의 등가 관성체 등으로 구성된다. 굴삭기 선회시스템의 정확한 등가 실험실 시험을 위해서는 시험에 사용되는 등가 관성체의 관성모멘트를 정확히 결정하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 굴삭기 선회시스템의 등가 실험실 시험을 위해 굴삭기 상부회전체의 관성모멘트를 결정하기 위하여 수행되었다. 굴삭기 선회 시험을 통하여 선회감속기 입력 속도 및 토크를 측정하였고, 반복계산법을 이용하여 굴삭기 상부 회전체의 등가관성모멘트를 계산하였다. 굴삭기 상부회전체의 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하여 선회 시험 결과와 시뮬레이션 모델 비교 분석을 통해 굴삭기 시뮬레이션 모델을 검증하고, 검증된 모델을 이용하여 상부회전체의 관성모멘트가 반영된 등가 실험실 시험 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하였다.

Response Time Simulation for 2-tier and 3-tier C/S System (2-계층과 3-계층 C/S 시스템의 응답시간 시뮬레이션)

  • The fact that the end-user response time could become unacceptable in the 2-tier C/S system has been well known to C/S system developers. But inexperienced new developers who want to provide mobile solutions using PDA sometimes do not realize the ominous consequences of the 2-tier C/S systems. Except for the easy of development. the 2-tier C/S system has many weak points like in application deployment, security, scalability, application reuse, heterogeneous DBMS support, availability. and response time. This paper analyzes the response time in the 2-tier and 3-tier C/S systems through simulation. Although the problem space is confined to the 2 and 3 tiers, the result could be equally applied to any multi-tier systems.

  • We propose an intelligent ribbon road network for automatic vehicle simulation, and a real-time algorithm for large-scale, realistic traffic simulation based on artificial energy functions. Our method reconstructs a road network automatically from both GIS (Geographic Information System) real-world data and synthetic models. Such automatic road network helps us to easily simulate almost every possible scenario such as intersections, ramps, etc. In order to simulate agents' movement, we design car-environment interaction energy and car-car interaction energy functions. Car agents move along the road network according to the proposed energy functions while avoiding collisions with other car agents.

  • Effectiveness of the e-learning hands-on practice in the engineering education depends on the quality of the contents of which simulation is a part and the teaching strategy of the instructor. Instructors who develop and use the simulation-included e-learning content should employ various teaching and learning activities which would make online simulation practice effective. Thus, the strategy for the effective e-learning simulated practice in engineering courses should be known and used effectively. The aim of this paper is to classify the development methods of the simulations and the teaching and learning activities of the development types classified. The comparison of the teaching and learning activities leads to suggestion on teaching and learning strategy for effective use of the online simulation in engineering education.

  • Recently, manned and unmanned aerial vehicles are faced with problems such as collision detection and avoidance, link-loss for integrated operations in NAS. Hence, on the basis of the performance data of EUROCONTROL's BADA and NASA, an environment was developed to simultaneously handle simulations of integrated operations of MAVs and UAVs along with ATC/ATM simulations, and dynamic modeling was then carried out. To validate the developed model, simulations were performed on a 6-DOF model by its segments and the results were compared to the RMSE results.

Evaluation of the Staggering Appointment Policy in a Two-Stage Service System (두 단계 서비스 시스템에서 교차예약정책의 평가)

  • The appointment system is widely used to facilitate customer access to service in many industries including healthcare and others. Because of its importance, much research has investigated how to build an effective appointment policy under various environments. However, most research has considered a single-server service system. The objective of this work is to evaluate several appointment policies in a two-stage service system in which multiple servers are available and build separate appointments at the second-stage. In such a system, we propose and evaluate the staggering appointment policy. Simulation experiments indicate that the proposed staggering appointment policy outperforms other traditional appointment policies in terms of customer waiting time, server idle time, and the number of customers who are later to scheduled appointments.

  • The purpose of this study is to design and materialize the simulated courseware which is based on new educational environments and student-based education. The scope of this study is reflection and refraction of in the physics of high school. This paper introduce the theoretical background of courseware and investigate the structure and process of the teaching-theory by visualized computer simulation. We applied the basic concept about the reflection and refraction of light and explained the simulated images of spherical mirror and lens with the principles expressions and relative image forms. The last we simulated the various kinds of the images, shapes and distance of the images by changing the distance of object and focus which are made by computer simulation.

Multi-Stage Turbocharger Gasoline IC Engine Simulation for HALE UAV (고고도 장기체공 무인기 적용을 위한 다단 터보차저 가솔린 엔진 시스템 시뮬레이션)

  • This study conducted a simulation to observe the performance of a multi-turbocharged gasoline internal combustion engine for a high-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (HALE UAV). The WAVE 1-D engine simulation software from Ricardo was used for the engine system modeling and simulation. The specifications of a 2.4-L four cylinder gasoline engine from commercial vehicles and maps of commercial vehicle turbochargers were applied to the multi-stage turbocharged engine system model. Three turbochargers and intercoolers were installed in series for the appropriate intake of pressure for the gasoline engine at a high altitude of 60,000 ft. There was one wastegate for the turbochargers. The operability of the engine system was analyzed via this simulation model.
