Seismic Sequence Stratigraphy in the Southwestern Margin of the Ulleung Basin, East Sea (울릉분지 남서연변부의 탄성파 시퀀스 층서분석)

  • A multichannel seismic profile from the southwestern margin of the Ulleung Basin, East Sea, was analysed in detail to interpret the middle to late Miocene sequence stratigraphic evolution of the area. A regressive package is overlying a transgressive package which, in turn, is underlain by older uplifted and deformed sedimentary layers. A prominent condensed section separates the regressive and transgressive packages. The transgressive package is characterized by onlapping onto the underlying uplifted and deformed strata. The regressive package contains six prograding sequences composed of seismically resolvable lowstand, highstand, and transgressive systems tracts. Most of the depositional sequences comprise lowstand systems tracts consisting of basin-floor fan, slope fan, and prograding complex. Potential reservoirs in the regressive package are turbidite sands in basin-floor fans, channel-fill sands and overbank sand sheets in slope fans, and incised valley-fill sands in the shelf. The shallow marine sands in transgressive packages are another type of reservoir. Detailed sequence stratigraphic analysis, seismic data reprocessing, and 3-D seismic survey are suggested for the successful hydrocarbon exploration in the study area.

The Effect of a Programming WBI Based on the Flow Theory on Flow Level and Academic Achievement (몰입이론을 적용한 프로그래밍 WBI가 학습자의 몰입수준과 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • Computer programming language learning has an educational effect on improving the high level abilities such as a logical thinking ability and a problem solving ability as well as on understanding a computer working process through the process of programming and debugging tasks. In this study, the Flow Theory is applied for the students to have inner learning motive and continue their learning in the programming language learning. For this, we developed teaching-learning strategies applied by Flow elements, and designed to the WBI. We also applied to the actual teaching-learning field designed WBI and verified the effects on the changes in the learner's Flow level and academic achievement. The result of verification, WBI learning applied by Flow Theory is effective on improving Flow level, making the students have the learning goal and spirit of challenging, forming feedbacks. Also Flow experiences have effect on improving academic achievement(programming ability) through the positive effects on the results of the learning.

Effects of Nitrogen and Potassium on Plant Growth, Yield and Nodule Formation in Winged Bean(Psophocarpus tetragonolobus(L.) D. C.) (질소와 가리시용이 Winged bean의 생육, 수량 및 근류형성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to find out the effects of nitrogen, potassium application on the plant growth, grain yield and nodule formation of Winged bean. Plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, leaf area, NAR, RGR and CGR increased with basal and top dressing of nitrogen and potassium application. Especially CGR was increased significantly with the added amount of potassium. Number of nodules and nodule dry weight decreased with application of basal and top dressing nitrogen, but increased with the added amount of potassium. Green pod, tuber and grain yield increased with application of basal and top dressing nitrogen, and the added amount of potassium. There appeared positive correlation coefficient between grain yield and growth charateristics, and between grain yield and components. But there showed negative correlation coefficient among yield, number of nodules, dry weight and P$_2$O$\_$5/ contents in leaf.

  • This paper proposes and evaluates empirically a new recommendation method in order to improve the learning achievement of learners using case-based method. In this paper, we first carried out a survey targeting teachers who work currently in Gyeongbuk area, and constructed learning cases depending on critical factors of learning. We next recommended differentiated learning methods to learners classifying according to learning cases by achievement level through this survey. The students of a middle school took part in the experiment in order to evaluate empirically the proposed learning cases. The students were divided into three groups by their achievement level and three separate learning cases were applied to each group. The weights among learning improvement elements applying to each group were added through the survey result of teachers. The experiment using the proposed case-based recommendation method showed that the learning achievement of learners is improved considerably compared to the previous one.

과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성 신장을 위한 자기 진단 프로그램 개발 연구 -지구과학 내용을 중심으로-

  • 본 연구에서는 교사 스스로 느끼는 평가에 대한 거부감을 최소화하면서 바람직한 평가 전문성 신장 방향과 방법을 제공할 수 있도록 과학교사를 대상으로 한 학생 평가 전문성 자기 진단 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이 프로그램은 자기반성적 관점에서 과학교사 스스로 자신의 학생 평가 전문성을 진단할 수 있는 도구와 이를 이용하여 얻은 진단 결과를 바탕으로 학생 평가 전문성 수준을 가늠해 볼 수 있는 학생 평가 전문성 등급 평정 척도와 학생 평가 전문성 신장을 위한 안내로 구성되어 있다. 이 프로그램을 개발하기 위해 본 연구에서는 과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성의 개념을 탐색하고, 바람직한 학생 평가 전문성 신장의 방향과 방법을 모색하였다. 또한 과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성 요소를 추출하여 범주별로 정리한 다음 학생 평가 전문성 요소별로 구체적인 수준과 상태를 제시한 과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성 기준을 마련하였다. 마련된 기준을 근거로 과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성 자기 진단 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이를 위해 문헌연구와 더불어 수차례의 과학교육전문가 검토 및 협의, 학교 현장 교사들의 검토 및 협의를 거치면서 수정${\cdot}$보완하는 과정을 거쳤다. 본 연구에서 개발한 과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성 자기 진단 프로그램에는 진단 내용에 과학교사의 평가에 관한 지식과 더불어 실무적인 능력과 실제로 행하고 있는 평가의 실천 내용이 포함될 수 있도록 노력하였다. 또한 교사 스스로 자신의 평가 전문성 수준을 가늠해 볼 수 있도록 전형적인 응답 유형과 채점 기준, 해설 및 평가 전문성 등급 평정 척도를 제시했고 진단 결과를 바탕으로 평가 전문성의 부족한 부분을 보완하고 신장시킬 수 있도록 간략한 전문성 신장을 위한 처방과 평가 지향에 따른 교사의 전형적인 유형을 제시하여 자기 진단 프로그램을 사용하는 교사가 전문성 개선 방향과 방법을 설정하는 데 도움을 주고자 했다. 본 연구는 과학교사 자신의 학생 평가 전문성에 대한 환심을 높이고, 이를 진단하고 신장시키는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성 신장을 위한 방안을 마련하려는 데에도 좋은 시사점을 제공할 것으로 판단된다. 이를 위해 과학교사의 학생 평가 전문성 진단 프로그램에 제시된 전문성 평정 기준을 좀 더 객관화하고 보완할 수 있도록 많은 교사들에게 이 프로그램을 사용해 보게 하고 그 결과를 분석하는 후속 연구가 필요하다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 진단 운항을 제작하는 데 있어 지구과학 내용을 소재로 사용하였으나 본 연구에 제시된 진단 문항 제작에 관한 해설을 참고하여 다른 과학교과 내용을 소재로 한 진단 문항 제작도 필요할 것으로 보인다.

Characteristic evaluation of settlement and stiffness of cement-treated soils with the change of fines content under cyclic dynamic loading (세립분 함량 변화에 따른 반복 동하중을 받는 시멘트 혼합토의 침하 및 강성 특성평가)

  • The soil structures settle down continuously under cyclic dynamic loading after opening railway lines. This study examined the characteristics of the settlement and stiffness of cement-treated soils with the change in the content of fines under cyclic dynamic loading. Eighteen cases of the test were carried out with the changes in the fines content of soils, cement content, and curing days. Based on the test results, cement-treated soils containing more than 3% of cement could decrease settlement sufficiently even with a high portion of fines under cyclic dynamic loading. In addition, the elastic and plastic settlements could be reduced using 3 to 4% cement to the level of 1/4 and 1/6, respectively. In the viewpoint of stiffness, the resilient modulus of cement-treated soils increases with increasing cement content. Using more than 3% of cement, the 80MPa compaction stiffness standard for the upper subgrade of railways was satisfied, even with 40% of fines content of soils.

A Study on the application of appropriate level of illuminance to the Cathedral based on lighting principles (조명원리를 기반으로 한 성당조도의 적정수준 적용분석 연구)

  • In the spatial image composition of a cathedral, light is the most important element of changing the mind through vision. The religious meaning of light and its impact on human sensibility are believed to be very large. Therefore, in this study, 'Illuminance' is the most important research subject of a cathedral's worship space lighting plan elements. Illuminance is expressed by giving the clarity and form of space through a subtle spatial composition difference. The role of illuminance is essential for confirming the existence of space, and lighting controls the spatial atmosphere at an appropriate level. The standard and range of illuminance are set through the synthesis and analysis of related standards. Based on this, a related case study was conducted on cathedrals built in the Gangnam area of Seoul in the 1980s. The lighting-related factors were analyzed and the illuminance of the liturgical space and worship area were measured. The appropriate level of applicability was confirmed by comparison analysis. A plan for the illuminance application levels and elements applied in the cathedral lighting design is proposed.

A Neural Network Model for Visual Selection: Top-down mechanism of Feature Gate model (시각적 선택에 대한 신경 망 모형FeatureGate 모형의 하향식 기제)

  • Based on known physiological and psychophysical results, a neural network model for visual selection, called FeaureGate is proposed. The model consists of a hierarchy of spatial maps. and the flow of information from each level of the hierarchy to the next is controlled by attentional gates. The gates are jointly controlled by a bottom-up system favoring locations with unique features. and a top-down mechanism favoring locations with features designated as target features. The present study focuses on the top-down mechanism of the FeatureGate model that produces results similar to Moran and Desimone's (1985), which many current models have failed to explain, The FeatureGate model allows a consistent interpretation of many different experimental results in visual attention. including parallel feature searches and serial conjunction searches. attentional gradients triggered by cuing, feature-driven spatial selection, split a attention, inhibition of distractor locations, and flanking inhibition. This framework can be extended to produce a model of shape recognition using upper-level units that respond to configurations of features.

  • With the rapid development of mobile services and the prevalence of education robots, robots are being developed to become a part of our lives and they can be utilized to assist teachers in giving education or learning to students. This standard has been proposed to define the degree of autonomy for education robot. The autonomy is an ability to perform a given work based on current state and sensor value without human intervention. The degree of autonomy is a scale indicating the extent of autonomy and it is determined in between 1 and 10 by considering the level of work and human intervention. It has been adapted as per standard and education robots can be utilized in teaching the students autonomously. Education robots can be beneficial in education and it is expected to contribute in assisting the teacher's education.

A Study on the Service Satisfaction of University Library Portal for Chinese Students in Korea (중국 유학생의 대학도서관 포털 서비스 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study deals with the role and responsibility of university library in multicultural society. For this purpose, centered the Chinese students in Pusan University, with internet questionnaire surveys on customer satisfaction to the current library portal service and set up a effective digital library evaluation model. In the meanwhile we borrowed evaluation methods and items from LibQUAL+ in part, a world wide famous model, and use Tsinghua University Library's evaluation statistic norms. To summarize the results of this survey, Chinese student's service satisfaction about Pusan University library is still fairly low. Undergraduate and graduate students(including doctor courses) group follows, undergraduates student's satisfaction level is lower than graduate. By analyzing simple satisfaction we can know that library portal service maintained low importance or influence to the user, to internet space user's satisfaction is a relatively high level. And compared with other dimension, statistic data show out that internet space user's satisfaction still maintained a relative high level.
