Chemical Analysis of Acidic Proteo-heteroglycans with Anti-complementary Activity from the Hot-Water Extract of Fomitella fraxinea (장수버섯 자실체로부터 분리한 항보체 활성 단백다당체의 화학적 분석)

  • The hot-water extract of fruiting bodies in Fomitella fraxinea had potent anti-complementary activities. After fractionation of water-soluble polysaccharides by DEAE-Sephadex A-25 column chromatography, major anti-complementary activity was concentrated into the FF-AP1 among three polysaccharides (FF-NP, FF-AP1, FF-AP2). FF-AP1 was fractionated into $FF-AP1{\alpha}$ and $FF-AP1{\beta}$ obtained from the adsorbed fraction and unadsorbed fraction by affinity chromatography using a ConA-sepharose 4B column, respectively. $FF-AP1{\beta}$, which exihibited the highest anti-complementary activities had an IR absorption peak of $890cm^{-1}$, and a M.W. of about 15,000 (gel filtration). Anti-complementary activity of FF-AP1 decreased greatly by pronase treatment and periodate oxidation. $FF-AP1{\beta}$ responsible for potent anti-complemenary activities of Fomitella fraxinea was an acidic protein-containing heteroglycan consisted of 48% glucose, 13% mannose, and 12% galactose as major component sugars, 9.6% protein, 6% uronic acids.

Monitoring the Sugar Content and Intake in School Meals from Incheon and Chuncheon (인천, 춘천 지역 학교급식 메뉴의 당 함량 및 당 섭취량 실태조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the content and consumption of total sugar from school lunches at Incheon and Chuncheon. The samples were collected from eight elementary schools and eight middle schools in Incheon and Chuncheon for 15 days. The analysis of total sugar content was performed for 1334 main dishes, side dishes, and desserts, which were supplied by elementary and middle school foodservices. Total sugar content was extracted from various types of food with 50% ethanol after defatting. We simultaneously analyzed sugars such as fructose, glucose, sucrose, maltose, and lactose by a high performance liquid chromatography with refractive index detector. The average lunch intake for elementary school and middle school students was $372.6{\pm}72.2g$ and $449.2{\pm}81.1g$, respectively. The total sugar content in desserts was $7.21{\pm}6.32g/100g$, $1.69{\pm}2.44g/100g$ in side dishes, and $0.32{\pm}0.77g/100g$ in main dishes. Among side dishes, fried foods, stir-fried foods, and sauces contained the highest amounts of total sugar. The total sugar intake was $4.63{\pm}5.11g$ in desserts, $0.64{\pm}1.01g$ in side dishes, and $0.55{\pm}1.48g$ in main dishes. Main and side dishes with a high total sugar intake included cooked rice with seasoning, fried foods, stir-fried foods, and preserved foods. The average total sugar intake per meal for elementary school, middle school, and all students was $4.03{\pm}3.67g$, $6.97{\pm}6.59g$, and $5.50{\pm}5.53g$, respectively. We have provided useful information to decrease the intake of total sugar in school lunches. It is recommended that total sugar intake be continuously monitored.

A Study on the Behavior of the Older Adults for Senior Leisure Welfare Facilities (고령자의 노인여가복지시설 공간이용 행태에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the conditions for improving space use and satisfaction by examing the behavior, focusing on the senior center, one of the leisure welfare facilities for the older adults. An online survey was conducted on 300 older adults aged 65 years old (104 males, 196 females) who had experience using senior centers. The results are as follows. First, the frequency of use per older adults was 1-3 times a month the most, and the preferred frequency of use was 1-3 times a week. The results showed that they wanted to use the Senior center frequently, but they could not use it often. Considering the high preference for health promotion activity programs in senior centers, it is understood that the use of space programs for health promotion can be increased if provided. Second, as the usage time per route ranges from a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 5 hours, it is considered that satisfaction and usability can be improved if a space to support various personal activities is provided. Third, it is considered to be helpful to improve the program or space composition that can strengthen friendship or improve accessibility by appearing as difficulties in friendship and accessibility for the reasons not used per senior citizen.

Changes in Physicochemical Properties of Jeungpyon(Fermented and Steamed Rice Cake) Batter during Fermentation Time (증편반죽의 발효시간에 따른 이화학적 특성 변화)

  • 증편반죽의 발효에 따른 해면상의 조직(망상구조)형성능의 mechanism을 조사하기 위하여 반죽의 구성성분의 경시적 물성 및 효소(diastase 및 protease) 활성의 변화, 구성 전분 분획의 glucose chain length 변화 및 1% SDS에 의해서 용출되는 단백질 분획의 변화에 대해서 검토하였다. 발효가 진행됨에 따라 증편반죽의 pH는 감소한 반면 점성 및 부피는 발효경과 10시간가지 증가하다가 그 이후로는 약간 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 발효의 진행과 더불어 diastase의 활성은 증가하였으며, 쌀전분 분획 중 amylose의 함량은 약간 감소하였다. 그리고 전분분자의 $\alpha-1,6-glucoside$ 결합을 isoamylase(debranching enzyme)로 가수분해시킨 후 Sephadex G-75를 이용한 chromatogram 분석에 의하면 쌀가루 전분 분획과 증편반죽 전분 분획의 glucose chain length 분포는 거의 유사하지만 발효가 진행됨에 따라 중합도가 낮은 부분이 우선적으로 diastase의 작용을 받은 것이라고 생각되어진다. 한편, 발효가 진행된에 따라 protease의 활성은 증가하고 있었음에도 불구하고 증편반죽의 당에 의한 단백질 분획의 고분자화가 Suprose CL-12 column chromatogram 상에서 관찰되었는데, 이것은 아마도 발효과정 중 증편반죽에 공존하는 미생물들의 발효산물인 당질(gum질)을 매개로 한 단백질 분자의 회합에 의한 결과라고 생각되어진다. 따라서 이러한 결과를 미루어 볼 때 증편반죽의 망상구조 형성능은 발효과정 중 일어나는 당과 단백질간의 상호작용에 의한 결과라 생각되어진다.

Effects of Number of Seedling per Hill and Plant Density on Rice Yield Components and Yield in the Late Season Culture of Rice (수도 만식재배에 있어서 재식밀도가 수량구성요소 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study has been carried out to find out the optimum plant density and number of seedling per hill in the late season culture of rice at Chung Buk. P.O.R.D. Up to the level of 33 hills per m2 and 6 number of seedling per hill, rice yield was increased as the number of seedling per hill and plant density per unit areas increased. However it is recommendable to have a plant density of 28~33 hills per m$^2$ with 4~6 number of seedling per hill for the late season culture.

  • In this paper, various forms of technical methods as well as comparison analysis on constructing optical subscriber network were studied to find the most economical installation method in the future. Comparison analysis has been focused on the three popular types of optical subscriber networks in Korea, such as VDSL2, Ethernet-LAN and FTTH-R. A study is conducted on the initial installation investment per subscriber, equipment failure rate as well as power consumption per subscriber. As a results, FTTH-R network will be the most economical method in the future, but a gradual switch which undergoes a UTP-fiber hybrid method as the midway process is preferable in considering the existing installed copper UTP subscriber cables.

  • G009는 단백다당체로서 분자량 0.5-200만 사이에 광범위하게 분포되어 있으며 구성당은 glucose를 주로하여 galactose, mannose 등으로 구성되었고, 아미노산은 glycine, leucine, alanine 이외 기타 아미노산으로 구성되어 있다. 담도결찰 쥐에서 G009투여군은 대조군에 비하여 간섬유화 유발물질로 추정되는 혈중 Procolagen type III peptide의 감소시켰고 간조직중 총 collagen의 양도 감소시켰다. 또한 조직학적 검사 결과로도 간섬유화의 억제가 뚜렷하였다. 각종 간손상 유발물질에 대하여도 G009투여군은 대조군에 대하여 정상군과 동일한 수준으로 GOT, GPT, triglyceride수치를 보였으며 간조직도 정상군에 가까운 결과를 보였다.

단령의 구성에 관한 연구

  • 단령은 둥근 깃이라는 뜻으로 군신(君臣)이 착용한 관복명의 의미를 가지고 있다. 단령은 검박(儉朴)하고 활동적인 옷의 형태로 AD 1세기 경 서아시아 일대의 기마 유목민족에게 발생되었고 중국에서는 호복(胡服)이라고 불렀으며 4 세기 초부터 17세기까지 군신(君臣)의 관복으로부터 일반인의 생활복에 이르기까지 여러 계층에서 착용되었다. 우리나라에서는 신라 28대 진덕여왕 2년(AD 648년)에 김춘추가 당(唐)나라 태종에게 단령을 하사 받음으로 착용하기 시작하였고 고려시대 조선시대에는 주로 관복(官服)으로 계속 착용하였고 현재에는 혼례 예복으로 착용하고 있다. 이와 같이 오랜 기간 동안 착용되어 온 단령은 봉재와 구성면에서 깃의 너비나 형태 앞 뒤 길이 차이 소매의 너비무의 변화 등 구성과 여러가지 면에서 변화를 거쳐 왔다. 단령의 구조는 깃이 둥근 형태에 옆 목점에서 매듭단추나 끈으로 여미며 길이가 길다. 따라서 15-16세기의 전단후장형 단령과 현재 혼례시 신랑 예복으로 착용되는 후기의 단령을 비교하여 구성의 차이점을 알아보도록 한다.

The Scan-Based BIST Architecture for Considering 2-Pattern Test (2-패턴 테스트를 고려한 스캔 기반 BIST 구조)

  • In this paper, a scan-based low power BIST (Built-In Self-Test) architecture is proposed. The proposed architecture is based on STUMPS, which uses a LFSR (Linear Feedback Shift Register) as the test generator, a MISR(Multiple Input Shift Register) as the reponse compactor, and SRL(Shift Register Latch) channels as multiple scan paths. In the proposed BIST a degenerate MISR structure is used for every SRL channel; this offers reduced area overheads and has less impact on performance than the STUMPS techniques. The proposed BIST is designed to support both test-per-clock and test-per-scan techniques, and in test-per-scan the total power consumption of the circuit can be reduced dramatically by suppressing the effects of scan data on the circuits. Results of the experiments on ISCAS 89 benchmark circuits show that this architecture is also suitable for detecting path delay faults, when the hamming distance of the data in the SRL channel is considered.

Studies on the Quality of Dried Persimmons (건시(乾枾)의 품질(品質)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the quality of dried persimmons of several varieties using the analysis of sugar contents by high-performance liquid chromatography, the texture profile analysis by instron texturemeter, and the sensory evaluation. Soluble sugars detected in dried persimmons were mainly glucose and fluctose. The nearly same amounts of glucose and fructose presented in the dried persimmons although there were some differences among varieties tested and sucrose was only little amounts. Namyang Susi was the highest in fracturability and hardness. Namyang Susi and Kojongsi were higher than other dried persimmons in all parametersr, but Hiratanenashi were low in all parameters comparactively. In the sensory evaluations, Hiratanenashi recorded the highest scores in all items and the next were Sangju Dungsi, Chungdo Bansi, Kojongsi and Namyang Susi in order.
