Effects of Color Properties and Subjective Sensation on the Preference for Cotton Denim Fabrics (면 데님소재의 색채 특성과 주관적 감각이 선호도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was performed to help the denim fabric planning which reflects the sensibility preference of university students. Objective characteristics, like color properties and mechanical properties, in 8 denim fabrics (5 cotton 100% fabrics and 3 cotton/polyurethane blended fabrics) were evaluated. And the color preference, subjective sensation and tactile preference of denim fabrics were investigated among the university students. The effect of color preference and tactile preference of denim fabrics on the purchase preference of denim slacks was also examined. Color preference of denim fabrics showed a significant difference according to the kind of denim fabrics. University students preferred purple blue denim fabrics that was measured low $-b^*$ value and low $C^*$ value among the color properties of denim fabrics. Among the mechanical properties of denim fabrics, surface property like MMD, MIU and SMD as well as shear property like 2HG5 were important elements affecting subjective sensation. While, tactile preferences showed a significant difference according to the fabrics. The tactile preferences of cotton/polyurethane blended denim fabrics was highly preferred, and that of heavy 100% cotton denim fabric was lowly preferred. And the subjective sensation affecting tactile preferences were in order of smoothness, softness, lightness. It is concluded that the color preference and tactile preference influenced upon the purchase preference of denim slacks, and color preference had a bigger effect upon the purchase preference.

  • The internet and the information-oriented communities have brought many changes to increase brand power and product sales in many industries. This study investigates the influence of brand preference and information reliability on consumers' purchase decisions. If product information at the internet advertising matches with consumers' previous brand preference, they are more likely to enhance product information reliability after watching the advertising. Such brand preference match through the advertising will increase consumers' intention to purchase. From the results of our experiment, we found that information reliability and memory from the advertising give a positive impact on the intention to purchase when consumers' previous brand preference matches with advertising attributes. Our study suggests that firms need to develop the internet advertising which is closely matched with consumers' preferences.

A Study on the Potential Effects of Consumer Preference for Beef and Involvement in the Attributes of Beef Selection on Consumers' Purchase Intentions (쇠고기 선택 속성의 관여도와 선호도가 구매 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine potential associations among consumer preference for American beef, consumers' involvement in selection of desired beef, and their intentions to purchase beef. In order to meet the above purpose, this study surveyed the visitors who shopped at 2 big discount stores selected in each of 3 metropolitan cities(Seoul, Daejeon and Daegu) from July 11 to 13, 2008. Total 278 sheets of the questionnaire were collected and used for final data analysis. As a result, it was found that the consumers responded most sensitively to the safety of food when buying beef but didn't care much about the amount of fat and beef brand. In terms of imported beef, it was found that Australian beef was considered reliable by consumers, and their preference for Korean beef was positively correlated with that for Australian beef. In addition, in regard to the attributes of beef selection, it was found that low involvement group had higher intentions to purchase American beef than high involvement group. In order to determine the potential effects of consumers' involvement in the attributes of beef selection on their intentions to purchase American beef, this study conducted data analysis in control of consumer preference for American beef. As a result, it was found that consumers' involvement in the attributes of beef selection had significant effects on their intentions to buy American beef. And sex was found to be one of the demographic characteristics associated with involvement in the attributes of beef selection, particularly associated with low involvement. Depending on sex, it was found that women had lower preference for American beef than men.

Impact of Fashion Brand Personality on Brand Preference and Purchase Intention - Comparison among Formal, Casual, Sports Brands - (패션브랜드개성이 브랜드 선호도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향 연구 - 정장, 캐주얼, 스포츠 브랜드의 비교 -)

  • As industrial development standardizes the quality of products, people are increasingly attracted by a certain brand with intangible value. Consumers, surrounded by a variety of brand in a market, want to have relationships with specific brands reflected by their personality. Especially in fashion, brand personality is more important since products are highly involved in terms of personal emotion. The purpose of the study is to identify the dimension of overall fashion brand personality, to specify the 'Dimension of Fashion Brand Personality' according to fashion product categories (i.e., formal wear, casual wear, sports wear), and to investigate the effect of each dimension of fashion brand personality on brand preference and purchase intention. The results were as follows: Firstly, based on Aaker(1997)'s 'Big five factors' and selection fashion brand personality factors from our pretest, the fashion brand personality factors were verified as 'Fashionable/ Innovative', 'Sincere', 'Universal! Stable', 'Professional'. Secondly, according to fashion product categories, brand personality was defined as below. Brand personality for formal wear included 'Innovative/ Active', 'Stable', 'Professional', and 'Universal'. Brand personality for casual wear included 'Fashionable/ Innovative', 'Active', 'Sincere', and 'Stable'. Brand personality for sports wear included 'Innovative', 'Social', 'and 'Sincere'. Finally, overall fashion brand personality factors (' Sincere', 'Universal! Stable', 'Professional') influenced on brand preference and purchase intention. In formal wear, 'Professional' influenced on brand preference and purchase intention. In casual wear, 'Active' influenced on brand preference, but 'Fashionable' and 'Sincere' influenced on purchase intention. In sports wear, 'Sincere' influenced on brand preference and 'Innovative' influenced on purchase intention.

  • The objective of this research is to identify the factors affecting the quality perception of consumer about the private brand and to investigate how the monetary utility of the private brand affects the consumer's preference. The main finding can be summarized in three points. The consumer's usage experience with PB have a positive but store image has no significant effect on the quality perception of PB. The perceived quality and monetary utility of PB has a significant effect on the quality perception while the perceived quality has stronger effect. The competitiveness of the national brand in the same store, post-usage attitude, the perceived quality, and perceived value have significant effect on the preference toward PB but monetary utility does not. The perceived effect has the strongest effect. This result suggests that even the value-seeking consumers prefer PB only when the perceived quality exceeds a certain limits. This study provides the strategic implications for retail managers and theoretical implication for the researcher studying PB.

  • 본 연구에서는 전남 서남 지역에서 해양 레저스포츠를 즐기는 피험자를 대상으로 해양 레저스포츠 의류의 구매실태, 착용실태, 구매 만족도, 선택기준, 개선사항 등을 조사하여 연령, 체형 등과의 상관관계와 변인 간의 상관관계를 분석해보고자 하였다. 해양 레저스포츠 참여동기와 선택기준 간의 상관관계에서 체력증진을 위해 참여하는 경우 착용감을 기준으로 선택하고 여가나 취미생활을 위해서 참여할 경우에는 디자인, 색상을 기준으로 선택하였다. 선택기준과 구매 만족도와의 관계에서는 활동성이나 다른 용도 활용성을 기준으로 선택한 경우에 가격면에서 만족하지 못하였다. 체형에 따른 선택기준은 큰 삼각형과 사각체형은 가격, 유행을 기준으로, 역삼각형, 큰 삼각형, 사각 체형은 신축성을 기준으로 의류를 선택하였다. 추후 연구에서는 해양 레저스포츠 종목별 선호도에 대한 연구도 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

  • 공동구매는 ‘가격절감’, ‘위험감소’, ‘거래비용 절감’, ‘참여의식’등의 장점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 장점은 소비자들로 하여금 구매형태에 직ㆍ간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 ‘시간지연’, ‘제품다양성 부족’, ‘결제수단’, ‘상품디스플레이’등의 단점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 단점들 역시 소비자들로 하여금 구매형태에 직ㆍ간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 반면 한번 거래를 하게 되면 계속해서 거래를 한다는 의견과 앞으로도 거래를 할 생각을 가지고 있으며 주변의 다른 이들에게도 추천하겠다는 생각을 가지고 있었다. 장ㆍ단점과 관련하여 공동구매를 ‘재수용 하는가’와 ‘주변사람들에게 권유할 것인가’를 연구하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 공동구매 특성이 공동구매를 수용함에 있어서 지속적인 수용을 할 것인가와 더불어 주변의 사람들에게 권장을 하는가를 파악하는데 있다. 본 연구에 대한 자료 수집방법은 D대학교의 재학생들을 대상으로 총 100부를 설문 조사하였으며, 수집된 설문지 중에서 불성실하게 응답한 설문지 8부를 제외한 총 92부를 유효한 설문으로 확보하였다. SPSS_WIN 10.0 패키지를 이용하였으며, 대상을 통하여 제품별(종류별) 선호도와 구매시(저가격, 안전성, 배송, 시간절감, 결제편리, 기타) 우선순위를 빈도분석 하였다. 또한 요인분석통한 타당도와 신뢰도 분석하고, 연구변수로 선정한 각 요소들을 이용하여 공동구매의 특성(가격대비 성능, 편리성, 결제안전, 다양한 제품 제공)에 따라 공동구매 재수용도와 주변사람 들에게 권유할 것인가에 영향력 정도를 파악하기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 조사결과 제품 선호도의 측면에서는 서적&음반, 의류&신발, 컴퓨터&주변기기 가장 선호하는 품목으로서 전자상거래와 거의 흡사하게 나타났으며, 구매시 가장 중요하게 느끼는 요소는 저렴한 가격과 안전&안정성으로 나타났다. 또한, 공동구매 특성에 대한 요인분석 결과로는 하나의 독립요인으로 존재하지만 결재안전, 다양한 제품제공의 요인들이 편리성 요인의 하부요인으로 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 공동구매 특성이 재수용과 주변사람 권유에 대한 결과로는 재수용적인 측면에서는 ‘가격대비 성능’과 ‘다양한 제품 제공’이 유의한 영향을 미칠 것으로 나타났으며, 주변사람 권유적인 측면에서는 ‘가격대비 성능’이 유의한 영향을 미칠 것으로 나타났고 재수용성과 다르게 ‘다양한 제품 제공’측면에서는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

The Exploratory Study on the Preference and the Purchase Intention of Fusion Bibimbap: Focused on Seoul Area (퓨전비빔밥의 선호도 및 구매의도에 관한 탐색적 연구: 서울지역을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to carry out the exploratory study on the preference and purchase intention of fusion bibimbap as opposed to tradition-bibimbap. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the survey was conducted to the consumer who use the subway in Seoul from Apr. 3. ~ Apr. 10. 2012, and total 288 valid copies of questionnaire were used for final analysis. The result showed that 190 persons were positive in preference for bibimbap, and the reasons were 'easy to eat' and 'a taste'. Consumer put 'spicy seafood bibimbap', 'pork cutlet bibimbap', 'sashimi bibimbap', 'chicken teriyaki bibimbap', 'bibimbap spinach lasagna' at question about preference of fusion bibimbap. Consumer put 'spicy seafood bibimbap', 'pork cutlet bibimbap', 'sashimi bibimbap', 'crab bibimbap', 'chicken bibimbap' at question purchase intention of fusion bibimbap. In addition, There was significant difference in the preference and the purchase intention of fusion bibimbap according to gender, marital status, age, and education.

  • Recently, research on environmental sustainable fashion design has been conducted, but various studies on preference and purchase intention for environmental sustainable fashion products have not yet been conducted. Therefore, this paper studied the effect of the characteristics of environmental sustainable fashion products on purchase intention with preference as a mediating effect. This study focused on Generation MZ attending universities in Hubei Province, China, and a total of 350 online surveys were conducted from August 15, 2021 to August 20, 2021. Among them, 335 copies were used for the final analysis, excluding invalid questionnaires. SPSS26 and AMOS26 were used for analysis. First, the results of the analysis showed that environmental protection characteristics among the characteristics of environmental sustainable fashion products had a positive effect on preference. At the same time, environmental sustainability had a positive effect on purchase intention. Second, environmental protection and sustainability have a significant positive effect on preference. At the same time, environmental sustainability has a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Third, preference plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between the purchase intention of environmental protection.

Modifying Sparse Data for Collaborative Filtering (협동적 여과를 위한 희소 데이터 변형 기법)

  • 협동적 여과를 이용한 추천 시스템은 데이터의 희소성 문제(sparseness problem)와 초기 추천 문제 (cold-start problem)에 대해 취약점을 가지고 있다. 협동적 여과를 이용한 추천 시스템에서 사용하는 선호도 데이터에 아이템들의 전체 수량에 비해 매우 적은 양의 아이템 선호도만 존재한다면 사용자들의 유사도 측정에 문제를 발생시켜 극단적인 경우엔 협동적 추천이 불가능할 경우가 발생한다. 이와 같은 문제는 선호도 데이터에 나타난 아이템들의 총수에 비해 사용자가 선호(구매)한 아이템이 극히 적은 수량으로 존재하기 때문이며 새로운 사용자의 경우에는 아이템 선호도 정보가 전혀 없기 때문에 유사 사용자를 추출하지 못하여 아이템을 전혀 추천할 수 없는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 희소성이 높은 선호도 데이터를 희소하지 않은 상태로 변형하는 희소 데이터 변형 기법을 제안한다. 희소 데이터 변형 기법은 희소데이터에 나타난 사용자와 아이템의 추가 속성 정보의 확률분포를 이용하여 알려지지 않은 선호도 값을 예측함으로써 희소성이 높은 선호도 데이터를 변경하고, 변경된 선호도 데이터를 협동적 추천에 적용하여 추천 성능을 향상시킨다. 이와 같은 선호도 데이터 변경 기법을 데이터 블러링(data blurring)이라 한다. 몇가지 실험 결과를 통해 제안된 기법의 효과를 확인하였다.
