  • The study aimed to analyze the factors influencing customer experience and satisfaction in home meal replacement (HMR) subscription services through the lens of the Value-based Adoption Model (VAM). Specifically, the study examined the mediating role of customer value co-creation. A survey was conducted among users of HMR subscription services within the last three months, yielding 200 valid responses for analysis using AMOS 24.0. The findings revealed that the factors of usefulness, entertainment, convenience, and curation positively impacted customer value co-creation, while perceived anxiety had a negative effect. Interestingly, the influence of perceived costs on customer value co-creation was not significant, potentially indicating that cost concerns may be overshadowed by other factors in this service context. Among the variables, curation emerged as the most influential factor, followed by convenience, usefulness, and entertainment. Customer value co-creation was found to significantly enhance both customer experience and satisfaction, with customer experience also directly contributing to increased customer satisfaction. The study underscored the importance of customer value co-creation as a mediating factor, bridging the gap between service features and customer outcomes. This mediation highlights how effectively managed interactions between the service provider and customers can transform perceived value into tangible satisfaction. From a practical standpoint, the results emphasize the critical role of curation services in driving customer value and satisfaction in HMR subscription services. Companies should focus on refining curation and enhancing convenience to maximize customer engagement and satisfaction. The study provides valuable academic insights into the dynamics of customer value co-creation and its implications for service management, contributing to the broader understanding of how modern subscription services can optimize customer relationships.

  • This study attempted to identify various variables that affect satisfaction and continued use intention of the subscription economy services. Through previous research studies, individual characteristics and service characteristic variables were considered together. Finally, use motivation, platform characteristic factors, and product and service characteristic factors were classified and examined. As a result of the study, the motive for using the service that affects the satisfaction of the subscription economy service was found to be functional hedonic, and economic motive, and platform recency and convenience, economic utility, and perceived personalization had a positive effect. Functional and hedonic motives and convenience showed positive influences on continued use intention, while social motives showed negative influences. In addition, it was confirmed that economic motivation, platform recency, economic utility, and perceived personalization showed a positive influence on the intention to continued use intention by mediating satisfaction with subscription economy services.

  • In public facilities, the hearing impaired people do not receive voice notifications, so they use dedicated applications for the facility as a means of obtaining information. However, there is the inconvenience of using dedicated applications for each facility. In this paper, we propose a subscription service for the hearing impaired people. The proposed method uses the MQTT protocol to design the notification service, and subscribes to the notification service by scanning the QR code through the application. The hearing-impaired people who subscribes to the notification service receives a message when the notification information is posted.

  • Serials subscription prices continue to escalate but university library budgets of those have not grown concurrently at the same rate. In fact, library budgets of serials subscription have decreased as a percentage of total library expenditure. Also titles with little or no use should be cancelled to make room for new serials that might be needed to reflect new research interests or changes in curriculum. This study includes overview of the serials cancellation and substitute solutions for subscriptions in university library. Taking into account costs and coverages, availability of cancelled serials through interlibrary loan is high in general. There is a potential for considerable savings by providing access to low-use titles, and that is a combination of commercial document delivery and pay per view based on e-business could be a viable alternative to subscription in many cases.

  • The purpose of this paper is to verify the influence of the characteristics of Chinese online video on users' subscription satisfaction and continuous subscription intention. For this purpose, this paper conducted online and offline questionnaire for customers who had subscription experiences within one month from April 16 to May 16, 2021. A total of 338 questionnaires were collected, except for 55 dishonest responses and non-subscription responses. A total of 283 copies were used for empirical analysis. The analysis results are as follows. First, before implementing the hypothesis verification of this paper, the results of analyzing the rationality and reliability of the measurement concept show six factors of online video characteristics, such as accuracy, social impact, service quality, content diversity, information, and entertainment. Second, among the six factors of the characteristics of online video, accuracy, social influence, service quality, and information have a "positive (+)" impact on subscription satisfaction. Third, in addition to the content diversity and entertainment in the characteristics of online video, the other four factors have a positive impact on consumers' continuous subscription intention. Fourth, subscription satisfaction has a positive impact on continuous subscription intention. Fifth, there is a media effect of subscription satisfaction between the characteristics of online video and the intention of continuous subscription.

  • Software as a Service (SaaS) has become one of the fastest-growing software business models in recent years. Even during the economic downturn following the pandemic, the SaaS business has emerged as a crucial model for IT companies. The revenue structure of SaaS, which is based on the subscription economy model, ensures that users pay only for the services used. In other words, SaaS operates on a subscription-based billing model, thus providing subscribers access to software uploaded to cloud computers via the Internet. This study aimed to explore the manner by which software-solution firms have to counteract the decline in profit and loss sales caused by changing their business-model orientation from on-premise deployment software to subscription-based software. Additionally it analyzes a method for selecting a subscription-based pricing model and rapidly recovering the investment costs via quantitative business-viability assessment. By calculating subscription fees via a more quantitative business-viability evaluation instead of focusing on conventional business-planning methods that rely on qualitative methods, companies are expected to be equipped in providing services to customers at reasonable costs. This strategy will facilitate them in leading emerging growth sectors.

  • The journal is a important resource of the scholarly communication and it is a kind of the R&D indicator. But the journal subscription cost is rising annually so it has the limits to the journal subscription fee of libraries. This paper analyses the usage of Document Delivery Service(DDS) according to the journal subscription overlapping with NDSL members. In order to select journals for analysis, this paper selects journals of the subscription overlapping top 20% and low 20% and finds out the relationship between the overlapping subscription and usages of DDS.

  • This paper is concerned with the query slipping and its prevention for trajectory-based matchmaking service in wireless sensor networks. The problem happens when a query propagating along a subscribe trajectory moves through a publish trajectory without obtaining desired information, even though two trajectories intersect geometrically. There follows resubmission of the query or initiation of another subscribe trajectory Thus, query slipping results in considerable time delay and in the worst, looping in the trajectory or query flooding the network. We address the problem formally and suggest a solution. First, the area where nodes are distributed is logically partitioned into smaller grids, and a grid-based multicast next-hop selection algorithm is proposed. Our algorithm not only attempts to make the trajectory straight but also considers the nodal density of recipient nodes and the seamless grid-by-grid multicast. We prove that the publishing and subscribing using the algorithm eventually eliminate the possibility of the slipping. It toms out that our algorithm dissipates significantly less power of neighbor nodes, compared to the non grid-based method, as greedy forwarding, and the fixed- sized grid approach, as GAF (Geographical Adaptive Fidelity)

  • The objective of this study is to pay attention to the personal media environment that is in the center of rapid changes in the media industry, to especially explore the activity area of one-person or minority media creators who lead the mobile media environment that could be connected, watched, and produced anywhere, and to closely examine the mutual ecosystem between creators and viewers. Especially, paying attention to the recommendation service YouTube provides, for example, based on the big data algorithm related to users' habitual use, when users' data used are provided more, the users face the advanced service, this study aimed to examine the effects of recommendation service on the formation of trust between user and producer, user flow, and subscription intention, and also to demonstrate the process of forming this mutual relation through concrete data. In the conclusion, implications that can be inferred based on the research results and suggestions for further research in the future were presented.
