The purpose of this study is to emphasis the fact that the oral cavity should be well-managed as it is where the intake of the valuable nutrition for the baby is made, among many other important factors and changes that the pregnant women go through as they prepare for the birth of a human being for 10 months. For this, we surveyed the management of the oral hygiene and the awareness of oral health by the pregnant women. The result showed that the nauseating during the brushing of the teeth and the use of the oral hygienic products varied among different standard of lives with statistical significance. As for the standard of living, those in higher level showed also a higher level of the use, while the middle and low standard of living showed lower level of usage of the oral hygienic products. In case of the dental treatment during the pregnancy, most of the interviewees answered they do not receive dental treatment during pregnancy in the fear of bad influence on the baby and the potential risk of congenital anomaly. The perceived necessity of the education on the oral health was generally high. And, for the contents of such education, they preferred the timing of the dental treatment, the content of the treatment, and misunderstandings regarding the dental treatment.
The purpose of this survey research was to investigate the relationship between the health promotion and the Oral Health knowledge of 230 adults which lived in Kyunggi-do using SPSSWIN 12.0. The following conclusions were obtained. 1. Objects who take the periodic health examination was 38.2% and the opposite case was 61.8%. And the reseach subjects who take the periodic dental examination was 30.7% and the opposite case was 69.3%. 2. The research subjects who take the Oral Health education was 11.8% and the opposite case was 88.2%. 3. The relationship between the general characteristic and health promotion status of the research subjects taking periodic examination showed statistically significant difference at items of ages, occupation and the reason of training (p < 0.05). 4. In case of the relationship of the Oral Health knowledge according to sex distinction, 68.4% of all research subjects thought that the appropriate toothbrushing time was around 3 minutes, but it did not show significant difference statistically. 5. In case of the Oral Health knowledge according to age, it showed significant difference statistically at item of 'the toothbrushing time is after each meal and before retiring (p = .032)', item of 'if you use the fluorine, you can prevent the dental caries (p = .011)', and item of 'foods causing the dental caries are a chocholate and a biscuit, etc. (p-.044). 6. In case of the Oral Health knowledge according to the occupation, 68.4% of all reasearch subjects thought that the appropriate toothbrushing time was around 3 minutes (p = .043), and it showed significant difference statistically. 7. In case of he relationship between reseach subjects taking the periodic examination and the Oral Health knowledge, it did not show significant difference statistically.
To study the effects of oral health education on children, weekly education sessions and surveys were held for 214 preschoolers, 6-7 years of age, in 2 K-area kindergartens for 4 weeks in July 2015. Statistics on oral health behaviors such as children with regular dental checkups(p<0.05), children who underwent fluoride application(p<0.05), children without dental caries diagnosis(p<0.001), children with mothers who underwent oral health education(p<0.05) showed significant difference. Oral health knowledge scores(6 being perfect) increased from pre-education scores of 4.96 to post-education score of 5.54. oral health behavior scores(11 being perfect) also increased from pre-education scores of 7.18 to post-education score of 7.75(p<0.001). Therefore, it is the author's opinion that the development of oral health education programs with relatively short cycles, alongside systematic, practical, and repeated education would be beneficial.

The mean level of caries was 4.61 dft index in 1-2th grade, 3.27 DMFT index in 5-6th grade, 1.47 DMFT index in the 3-4th grad and 1.19 DMFT index in the 1-2th grade. 5. The mean level of Patient Hygiene Performance (PHP index) was 3.59, and there was no significant association was pound between PHP index and grade. 6. Oral health behavior wasn't affected by their oral health awareness, and knowledge.
Objectives: The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in changes in the instructional methods used in kindergartens and daycare centers to prevent viral infections. This study aimed to investigate the changes in oral health care for children before and during COVID-19 and the perceptions of kindergarten and daycare center teachers about oral health care. Methods: The study subjects were 189 teachers of kindergartens and daycare centers in charge of children aged 3 to 5. The data for the analysis were collected through an online survey. Frequency analysis and the chi-squared test were used for statistical analysis. Results: Compared to before COVID-19, the frequency of tooth brushing after lunch, the number of oral health education and regular oral examinations, and the rate of childcare teachers' experiences with oral health education had decreased during COVID-19. In addition, educators in kindergarten and daycare centers responded that an oral health officer at a public health center was the most desirable oral health educator. Conclusions: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the oral health care of children in kindergartens and daycare centers has declined. Efforts are needed to restore it by educating people about oral hygiene care and oral health education, both at home and in kindergartens and daycare centers.
