Ignoring interaction effects has been pointed out to be one of serious drawbacks in analysis of the parameter designs which are constructed by using orthogonal arrays. In this paper a detecting procedure of influential 2-factor inteactions with minimum expeimental runs is described, when each contrl factor has two levels. The presented method is based on the near orthogonal arrays which are very similar to orthogonal arrays in the statistical structure. And those arrarys are the same as trace-optimal balanced saturated two-level fractional factorial designs of resolution V.
The effects of vernalization and darkness on flower initiation were reviewed by using naked barley varieties. The dark effects were pronounced on flower induction even at 25$^{\circ}C$. There were no differences in flowering responses among varieties. The effects of vernalization and darkness combined with 25$^{\circ}C$were 100% and 60% respectively which showed a significant difference. When the alternation of darkness with light was taken as first and last the flowering rate was 92 percent. When it was intercalated by light treatments the flowering rate was 91 per cent. Thus the effects of vernalization and darkness seems to differ.
This study analyzes the impact on geomorphic changes downstream due to alternate bars developed weir upstream through laboratory experiments. The disturbance, such as a spur in the side wall, of the flow at the inlet of the channel triggers the development of alternate bar upstream at the beginning of the experiment, and gradually moved downstream with keeping their shapes over time. The bed in the downstream of weir in the mid of channel scoured due to the scarcity of sediment inflow because weir upstream traps it. Moreover, bar migration speed decreases as the bars approaches to the weir with time. However, as time increases, the alternate bars upstream migrate over the weir, and sediment in the eroded bed of the weir downstream are deposited. The phase of the bar upstream changes oppositely after passing through the weir. The phase of the bar downstream changes rapidly as the shape of alternate bar is clear upstream, which is affected by the strong disturbance. The phase of bar changes, and the bar migration speed decreases gradually with time, and finally stopped due to forcing effects on the bar by the disturbance. The faster the reaction of alternate bar with a long spur, the larger the bar height formed downstream and the shorter the bar length. This means that the larger the forcing effect of bar, the more it affects the bar migration. In addition, although the size of the alternate bar increases over time, the bar doesn't migrate downstream and a forced bar is generated.
Water resources projection typically consists of several stages including emission scenarios, global circulation models (GCMs), downscaling techniques, and hydrological models, and each stage is a source of total uncertainty in water resources projection. Several studies proposed methods to quantify the relative contribution of each stage to total uncertainty, and we call such analysis uncertainty decomposition. Uncertainty decomposition enables us to investigate the stages yielding large uncertainties and to establish the uncertainty reduction plan that reflects them. Interactions between stages is one of the important issues to be considered in uncertainty decomposition. This study suggests a new uncertainty decomposition method considering interaction effect. The proposed method has an advantage of decomposing the total uncertainty to the uncertainty from each stage considering both the main and interactions effects. We apply the proposed method to streamflow projection for Chungju Dam basin. The results show that the uncertainties from the main effects are larger than the uncertainties from interaction effects in both summer and winter. Using the proposed uncertainty decomposition method, we show that the GCM stage is the largest source of the total uncertainty in summer and the downscaling technique stage is the one in winter among the following four stages: emission scenarios, GCMs, downscaling techniques, and hydrological models.

Cost and Time for software test is gradually increasing as the software complexity increases. To cope with this problem, it is very important to reduce the number of test cases used in the software test. The interaction strength number is especially important in decision of the number of test cases for the unit test, where the interaction strength number means the number of arguments which affect the results of a function by the analysis of their combination used in source code of the function. This paper proposes the algorithm that computes the number of the interaction strength, where analyzes the patterns used in the source code of a function and increase its number when the pattern matches one of the specified patterns. The proposed algorithm is validated by some experiments finding coverage and the number of fault detection.
To reduce the amount of chemical fungicides and the number of spray for the control of Alternaria blight of ginseng, biofungicides were used in order to reduce the residue and ensure the safety of ginseng plants. The control efficiencies were 68.34%$\sim$73.56% against Alternaria blight in 2 times alternate spray of biofungicides and chemical fungicide at 14 days interval whereas the control efficiencies were 87.00%$\sim$89.42% in 2 times alternate spray of 3 different kinds of chemical fungicides at 14 days interval. In case of treatment combination the control efficiencies were 74.53%$\sim$87.23% in alternate spray of mixture of biofungicides and chemical fungicides at 28 days interval in all combinations except 2 kinds of combinations (Com-12 and Com-17). Therefore, the alternate application of the biofungicides and chemical fungicides or alternate application of mixture of biofungicides and chemical fungicides could reduce the amount of chemical fungicide about 75.00%$\sim$83.33%.
Effect of light and temperature on the sporulation and mycelial growth by 4 strains of Mycosphaerella fragariae was examined. The light source was day light fluorescent lamps with an intensity of 2000 Lux at the colony surface. The treatment were constant light, alternating light(10hr) and darness (14h.) and constant darkness af $15^{\circ}C,\; 22^{\circ}C\; and\; 30^{\circ}C$ 1. Of the 4 strains tested, alternating light and darkness at $22^{\circ}C\;and\;15^{\circ}C$ gave the greatest sroducedtion, constant light in intermediate, constant darkness in minimum, but darkness at $30^{\circ}C$ produced abundant conidia over that obtained in the other two treatment. Differences in number of sporulation due to light, strains and the interaction of these two were all statistically significant. 2. There were not on significant differences in amount of mycelial growth due to light, but amount of mycelial growth of$S_3$ strain were the nest abundant among the 4 strains.
