Cluster Management Scheme for Safety Message Dissemination in a VANET Environment (VANET 환경에서 안전 메시지 배포를 위한 클러스터 관리 기법)

  • Recently, studies have been conducted to cluster vehicles and disseminate safety messages in a VANET environment for driver safety and smoothy traffic. This paper proposes cluster management scheme for safety message dissemination through V2V communication and V2I communication in a VANET environment with high vehicle density and mobility. The proposed scheme reduces packet loss by selecting CH considering reception quality, total data owned by vehicles, moving speed, and connected vehicles, and maintaining cluster head candidates, which are the main agents of message dissemination, considering frequent cluster departures and subscriptions. In addition, the proposed scheme reduces duplicate messages by utilizing clusters by collaborating with a Road side unit(RSU). To prove the excellence of the proposed scheme, various performance evaluations are performed in terms of message packet loss and the number of RSU processing requests. As a result of performance evaluation, the cluster management scheme proposed in this paper shows better performance than the existing scheme.

DMB Filecasting Service Technology (DMB 파일캐스팅 서비스 기술)

  • DMB provides various kinds of data services such as BWS and TPEG service in addition to audio and video services. But recently the necessity of new business models creating profit has been on the rise due to the saturation of DMB receiver market and break-down of market barrier between mobile IPTV and DMB services. This paper introduces DMB filecasting service technology, which can be expected a new profit-creative business model. The purpose of DMB filecasting service is to transmit non-real time multimedia contents based on DMB AF format to the users through DMB channels. It makes possible to consume DMB contents with any DMB-installed device anytime, anywhere and share them with others. Also DMB filecasting service makes consumption and request of DMB contents possible to be extented to a variety of networks as well as DMB channels. The paper explains the standardization status of DMB filecasting service and various DMB filecasting service scenarios. And also it proposes a signalling methode, a transmission and reception protocol and a receiver structure using DMB broadcasting program guide information.

  • 본 논문은 지구공간에 존재하는 다양한 공간정보를 이용하여 도로 및 철도 계획과 공사를 위한 최적노선을 선정하는 기법에 관한 새로운 연구이다. 사람과 물자를 수송하는데 있어서 가장 기본적인 공공교통시설인 도로 및 철도를 건설하기 위하여 초기에 가장 중요한 결정이 바로 최적노선결정이므로 환경파괴를 최대한으로 감소시키고 그 기능을 충분히 발휘할 수 있도록 대상 지역의 여러 가지 조건을 고려하여 가장 적합한 노선의 위치를 결정하여야 한다. 3차원 지형 환경의 공간영상콘텐츠는 국토계획 및 통신설비계획, 철도건설, 시공, 입체적인 유비쿼터스 도시 구현, 안전 및 방재 등에서 많은 요구와 그 중요성이 크게 부각되고 있다. 현재 지리정보 기반의 2차원적인 지도정보와 시설정보를 다차원의 도시공간으로 재현하기 위하여 기존의 등고선을 이용한 DEM 방식은 많은 한계를 가지고 있으며, 특히, 철도와 같은 노선 폭이 좁고 길이가 길어서 궤적 관리가 어려운 작은 구조물의 경우에는 그 고도모델이 무시되기 쉬우므로, 레이저 측량 기술을 이용한 공간대상물에 대한 높은 정확도 취득이 크게 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 원격탐사 영상 Data를 중심으로 하는 정사보정하고 이에 매칭 할 수 있는 수치 지도 벡터와의 통합 및 전환으로 다차원 공간에서 건물 모델의 생성과 다양한 활용을 제시하는 것을 연구목적으로 하였고, 연구방법으로는 기존의 이미 취득한 2차원적인 평면사진을 지상 기준점에 의하여 정밀기하보정을 하여 얻은 사진영상자료를 이용하여 3차원 공간정보로 구성하기 위해서는 동일지역에 대한 수준 측량결과인 높이 데이터를 매칭하여야 하므로, 항공기에 탑재한 센서로 모든 대상지에 대한 지형지물의 고밀도의 높이 값을 획득하여 위치보정 작업 후에 3D로 매칭할 수는 방법을 연구하여 실험하도록 하였다 또한 본 연구에서는 연구대상지역의 지형조건, 기존 노선과의 비교, 토지이용, 지형경사, 사면방향, 지가 등을 분석하여 각각의 경중률을 고려한 후 선택된 후보노선들을 비교분석함으로서 최적노선을 선정하고자 하였다.

Motivation of the Satellite DMB Use and Genre Consumption (위성 DMB 이용 동기와 장르 소비: 장르 선호도, 레퍼토리, 소비유사성을 중심으로)

  • This paper attempts to identify motivations of the satellite DMB use and to examine the relationship between user motivations and structure of genre consumption. Firstly, this paper identified motivational dimensions for satellite DMB usage. The results of the factor analysis revealed three dimensions: information-seeking, entertainment-oriented and social communication. It accounts for 69.9% of the variances found within this data. Secondly, the results of the regression analyses suggested that both information seeking and entertainment-oriented motivations were closely related to genre preferences of satellite DMB contents. In addition, these two motivations predicted genre repertoires and similarity in genre consumption. In conclusion, motivations of the satellite DMB use were the best predictors for explaining the structure of genre consumption.

  • ArangoDB is a NoSQL database system that has been popularly utilized in many applications for storing large amounts of data. In order to apply a new NoSQL database system such as ArangoDB, to real work environments we need a benchmarking system that can evaluate its performance. In this paper, we design and implement a ArangoDB based benchmarking system that measures a kernel level performance well as an application level performance. We partially modify YCSB to measure the performance of a NoSQL database system in the cluster environment. We also define three real-world workload types by analyzing the existing materials. We prove the feasibility of the proposed system through the benchmarking of three workload types. We derive available workloads in ArangoDB and show that performance at the kernel layer as well as the application layer can be visualized through benchmarking of three workload types. It is expected that applicability and risk reviews will be possible through benchmarking of this system in environments that need to transfer data from the existing database engine to ArangoDB.

The Structural Relationship between Area Activation and Complex Development of Railway Station Area (철도역세권 복합개발과 지역 활성화의 구조적 관계)

  • This study analyzed that introduction function and program how influence about quality of life local resident and development of region according to real development. Also, it suggested policy implications of area activation plan through complex development of railway station area. In research method, the factor and structure affecting area activation in complex development of railway station area analyzed positively using the PLS structural equation focused on citizen near station area. As a result of study, in regional economic vitalization, the factors of software(marketing support, transfer system support, plan and design support, complex development support, law institution improvement, etc) and the factors of hardware(traffic function, information exchange function, commercial business function, housing features, amenity function, etc) are represented to influence significantly and then, in quality of life of local resident, the factor of hardware analyzed to influence significantly, but the factor of software and network did not. In comparison, the factor of network is represented that it did not contributed in regional economic vitalization and quality of life of local resident. So, political supplementations are needed.

Importance-Performance Analysis of Multiplex Cinema Attributes (멀티플랙스 영화관 선택속성의 중요도-성취도 분석)

  • This research aims to analyze the importance-performance among multiplex cinema selection attributes. Therefore, we collected data for visitors who visited the multiplex cinema and want to watch movies. Of the various multiplex cinema selection attributes, four factors were deduced that includes: major services, human services, physical environment, auxiliary services using exploratory factor analysis. In the quadrant I, the area of 'Concentrate Here' was 'diversity of screening time', 'diversity of movie genre', 'convenience of mobile app use', 'size and convenience of parking facility'. In the quadrant II, 'Keep up the Good Work' area was 'convenience of website booking', 'discounts through card partnerships', 'employee friendliness', 'accurate employee information delivery', 'comfortable seating', 'screen size', 'cinematic sound quality', and 'convenience of traffic' etc. The quadrant III, 'Low Priority' appeared to be 'membership system', 'tidiness of staff attire', 'resting space for waiting time', 'accessibility to the neighboring area', 'diversity of the snack corner', and 'overall cleanliness' etc. The quadrant IV, 'Possible Overkill' was 'appropriateness of the auditorium temperature' and 'service proficiency'.

A Mutimedia Tithe for the Education of ITS (ITS 교육용 멀티미디어 타이틀)

  • According to the rapid changing of modern Society, the portion and influence of the industries which are related to IT(Information Technology) have being Increased. Therefore, we need to recognize and learn to the new technologies such as ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) because they are very closely related to our living environments. Unfortunately, people who are not expertized to the ITS have had hard time to understand these systems. In this paper, we introduce a multimedia courseware which requires only simple operations of mouse and keyboard for education of ITS. This courseware includes not only the areas of services for user but also scopes and components, and applications of ITS, which make possible to understand what the ITS are When we apply this courseware to the people who we not specialized to ITS, they can understand the ITS more easily.

Definition and Analysis of Shadow Features for Shadow Detection in Single Natural Image (단일 자연 영상에서 그림자 검출을 위한 그림자 특징 요소들의 정의와 분석)

  • Shadow is a physical phenomenon observed in natural scenes and has a negative effect on various image processing systems such as intelligent video surveillance, traffic surveillance and aerial imagery analysis. Therefore, shadow detection should be considered as a preprocessing process in all areas of computer vision. In this paper, we define and analyze various feature elements for shadow detection in a single natural image that does not require a reference image. The shadow elements describe the intensity, chromaticity, illuminant-invariant, color invariance, and entropy image, which indicate the uncertainty of the information. The results show that the chromaticity and illuminant-invariant images are effective for shadow detection. In the future, we will define a fusion map of various shadow feature elements, and continue to study shadow detection that can adapt to various lighting levels, and shadow removal using chromaticity and illuminance invariant images.

Analysis of Development Priority Using Regional Assets (지역자산을 활용한 개발우선순위 분석)

  • As a strategy for strengthening local competitiveness, efficient use of regional assets is becoming more and more important. The key to regional identity and competitiveness is local assets. The purpose of this study is to derive the priority region for development by evaluating local assets. The analysis methods used in this study are Geographic Information System analysis, Big Data Trend analysis, and Analytic Hierarchy Process analysis. To assess the potential of local assets, the preference of assets, historical value, cluster of resources, wide-area transport accessibility, and population density were set as analysis indicators and itemized weights were applied using AHP to reflect the importance of each item. As a result of analyzing Yeongju city in Gyeongsangbuk-do, eight major points such as Buseoksa Temple, Sosu Seowon, Huibangsa Temple, Punggi Hot Spring Resort, Punggi Station, National Center for Forest Therapy, Yeongju east region and Museom Village were derived.
