On the Necessity and Effect of Additional Points System in Cross-Applications of University Admissions (교차지원에 따른 가산점 제도의 필요성과 효과 - 서울과학기술대학교 대학수학 운영 사례 중심으로 -)

  • In the College Scholastic Ability Test, applicants of science tracks usually choose type Ga mathematics. However, students who took type Na mathematics test can also apply to science and engineering tracks in many universities by cross-Applications. Many universities have given additional points to type Ga mathematics test taker in order to recruit students who excel in the natural science track curriculum. In this paper, we study the necessity and effect of additional points system by using the data of Seoul National University of Science and Technology.

  • 역할 기반 시스템(role-based system)은 역할을 수행할 수 있는 객체만 존재한다면 환경에 구애 받지 않고 시스템을 실행하는 것이 가능하므로, 적응성(adaptation) 및 상호작용(interaction) 측면에서 이점을 가진다. 이는 객체가 동적으로 이동하여 다른 환경에 속했을 때, 해당 객체가 역할을 수행할 수 있다면 새로운 환경에서 이질적으로 받아들이지 않고 적응할 수 있는 이동성(mobility)의 개념을 포함하므로 차량이 동적으로 이동하는 교차로 시스템에 적합하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 역할 기반 에이전트를 교차로 안전지원 시스템에 적용하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 역할 기반 시스템의 이점을 증명한다.

  • Currently science and technology are changing so fast and college mathematics becomes more and more important. But the downturn of freshmen's scholastic performance has been intensified and this phenomenon leads to serious problems in managing college curriculums. During the recent years at a middle level engineering college, many freshmen had a lot of difficulties in their mathematics courses. In consequence, many of them had hard time to survive at their major curriculums. In this point of view, we analyse the situation of mathematical scholastic ability among engineering majored freshmen through the research on the actual state of mathematical background, mathematical scholastic ability test, college mathematics scores, and scholastic aptitude test scores. We study the relation between the mathematics score of scholastic aptitude test for the college entrance and mathematical scholastic ability of freshmen of a middle level engineering college. From this study we conclude that the essential reasons for the above situations are the curriculum of middle school mathematics and the system of scholastic aptitude test and the entrance examination of university. In order for improving mathematical accomplishment. we give suggestions such as a learning ability improvement program in mathematics.

A Study on the Prior Forecast System of Crossroads Traffic Information based on Vehicle-IT for Decision Assistant (차량 IT 기반 의사결정 지원을 위한 교차로 신호 사전예보 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposed a Prior Forecast System of Crossroad Traffic Information that allows vulnerable road users to perceive traffic signal changes beforehand and respond in concentrated traffic areas such as crossroads. Also, it mapped out information linking procedures of the proposed system and it designed a PHY based wireless communication simulator to verify the operational feasibility of wireless communications. Conclusively, by conducting performance analysis according to crossroad channel environments using the simulator designed in this paper, it verified that a Prior Forecast System of Crossroads Traffic Information service for vehicle IT based decision-making support for vulnerable road users is a possibility.

  • Space development has been independently performed by space agencies in each country. This causes redundant development for individual function, resulting in waste of space resources. Accordingly, Interagency Operations Advisory Group (IOAG) was established for standardization with mutual agreement between international organizations, and space resources can be used efficiently between space agencies through cross-support. IOAG define Service Catalog#1, #2, and #3, according to the network layer. In this technical paper, the background and main contents of the IOAG Service Catalog, and the application plan for domestic space development will be discussed.

  • 여수로는 월류시 한계류 상태와 고유속의 사류상태가 복합적으로 일어나는 복잡한 흐름형태를 가지고 있어 여수로의 단면설계시 수리적인면뿐만 아니라 구조적인 측면에서도 안정해야 하며 경제성이 고려되어야 한다. 그래서 고유속의 흐름을 갖는 여수로에 축소부를 고려할 경우 충격파에 의한 수위상승과 하류의 흐름 교란 등 수리학적인 불안정이 발생하기 때문에 설계시 경제적인 장점이 있음에도 불구하고 단면축소부를 고려하여 여수로를 설계하는 것은 현실적으로 많은 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 단면축소를 고려한 여수로 설계를 위하여 3차원 수치모형인 Flow-3D를 이용하여 충격파로 인하여 발생하는 교차파 저감을 모의하기 위하여 수치실험을 실시하였다. 교차파 저감을 위해 축소부내에서 교차파가 발생하도록 축소부의 각도는 유입흐름 특성을 고려하여 적정하게 설정하였다. 수치실험결과 축소부의 각도가 작을수록 첫번째 교차파의 수위는 크게 발생하지 않으나 단면축소후 교차파가 하류로 전파되어 불안정한 흐름이 연속적으로 발생하고, 과대하게 설정할 경우 첫번째 발생하는 교차파에 의해 중앙부의 수위가 크게 상승하는 결과를 보였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 축소부단면내 회절판(diffractor) 설치전 후의 수리학적 거동을 모의하여 회절판의 흐름개선 효과를 검증하였다.

  • SSI(Surface/Surface Intersection)is a fundamental geometric operation which is used in solid and geometric modeling to support trimmed surface and Boolean operations. In this paper, we suggest a new algorithm for tracing along the intersection curve of two regular surfaces. Thus, in this paper, we present a simplicity of computing and second degree continunity. Given a point of intersection curve, it is traced to entire curve of a intersection curve as the initial point of its and the initial point of each of a intersection curve is detected to DFS(Depth First Search) method in the Quadtree and is naturally presented a continuous form.
