The present study examined the impact of work stress and job satisfaction on intention to leave among staff including social workers, nurses, and care workers. The study subject included 235 staff in a welfare organization that provides long-term care services. Data was analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings of the study show that work stress and job satisfaction affect intention to leave in the context of welfare organizations. Demographic variables were not the main focus of this study and thus these results are incidental. Staff with higher levels of work stress were more likely to think about leaving, while those with grater job satisfaction were less likely. There were several limitations in this study. Generalizability of the findings are limited to staff working in the province of Jeonnam. The results have important implications for the development of strategies to minimize turnover intention in long-term care. Reducing the intent to leave is desirable for issues of both cost reduction and quality of care. Managers could perhaps start to consider decreasing work overload assigned to staff. This study also provides some insight into the work status of new staff. Clearly this finding needs to be explored in further research studies. A more comprehensive model is likely required to adequately explain intention to leave the job.
The purpose of this study was to investigate characteristics of victims, especially aggressive victims of dating violence, and examine how they constructed the dating relationship and their commitments in dating relationships. The participants were 526 female college students who had the experience of heterosexual dating relationships, whose ages ranged from 18 to 37 (M=20.10, SD=2.70). The psychological tests used in this research included the following: Straus' Conflict Tactics Scale, Foo and Margolin's Justification of Violence Scale, Korean Version of Gender-Role Scale, and Lee and Han's Relationship Measures. Results revealed that aggressive victims of dating violence were more likely to receive mild violence as well as severe violence from their dating partners than victims only, while women who were victim only experienced sexual harassments more than aggressive victims from their dating partners. Aggressive victims of dating violence had experienced fathers' domestic violence more than women who had not experienced dating violence. Victims of dating violence showed less negative attitude toward dating violence than women who had not experienced dating violence. Victims of dating violence showed stronger commitments in their dating relationships than women who had not experienced dating violence. The results of this study may provide valuable information for professionals who help victims of dating violence.
The stress experienced by employees on international deployment has serious implications for their physical and mental health as well as their work performance. This study aimed to investigate the impact of resource-oriented music listening on work-related stress among employees on international deployment. The study recruited 10 participants of varying ages and occupations who had worked abroad for at least three years and conducted five personalized resource-oriented music listening sessions along with interviews. The Global Assessment of Recent Stress Scale (GARS) and Job Stress Scale (JSS) were used to measure stress levels before and after the intervention. Results showed that participants' work-related stress and perceived stress were significantly reduced following the music therapy intervention. The study also found that "awareness of own's life situation" and "self-acceptance of here and now emotional challenges" were factors that reduced regulatory stress among employees on international deployment. This study highlights the potential of resource-oriented music listening as a useful tool for managing workplace stress and promoting the well-being of expatriate employees.

The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the contents included in the curriculum and 382 syllabi of the department of home economics education of College of Education in Korea and analyze the correlation by detailed area through the keyword network method. In order to analyze the home economics education curriculum and 382 syllabuses of a total of 11 universities, the frequency of keyword occurrence was analyzed using the KrKwic program, also the degree of connection between keywords and various centrality scales were calculated and visualized. The results of this study were as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the entire syllabi, keywords representing various fields such as family, secondary school, clothing, food, consumer, and design appeared evenly, and keywords related to teaching methods such as 'method', 'practice', 'change', and 'principle' were appeared. Those keywords showed high degree of connection and centrality. Second, in the detailed sectoral analysis, core keywords for each area appeared, and each subject were found to reflect the core keywords of the academic base. This study contributes to the conversion of curriculum of the department of home economics education to future-oriented and convergent curriculum.

The purpose of this study tries to show the effectiveness of integrated theater education for low-grade students who lack social skills with the direction of art education based on 'theatrical and educational theater' and 'theater therapy' in the revised curriculum in 2015. To do this, the researcher organized a theater camp organized by the social, cultural and arts education institute in Seoul for a total of 12 low-grade elementary school students for four weeks, and had a presentation session. In addition, the researcher observed the behavioral changes of the participating children to verify the social development of the theater education and after the conclusion, the final results were obtained through the in-depth interviews of the participants' parents and teachers. As a result, it was found that Social Skills Rating System(SSRS)' test, teachers' observation logs, interviews, and responses of participating children, which are the main subjects of this activity, had a great effect on improving their sociality and relationship. Therefore, the researcher tried to prove through this paper that theater education is effective in enhancing social skills as creative, personality and convergence education in preparation for the 4th industrial era and that it is important to solve communication problems such as the absence of human relationships.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide baseline data for the development of an educational program for hospice care for college students. Methods: A survey was conducted at three universities in B city with 143 students from September 5, 2014 through September 26, 2014. The data were analyzed by the SPSS 18 program. This study was approved by IRB. Results: The college students' spiritual well-being was at a medium level. Their attitudes to death were neutral, and perception of hospice care was at a medium level. Most of the participants (93.0%) had no training in hospice care. The participants' awareness of the purpose of hospice care was at a relatively high level. Their awareness of the need for hospice care was at a moderate level. The participants' spiritual well-being and their attitudes to death showed a weak but positive correlation (r=0.179, P=0.030). The relationship between their spiritual well-being and awareness of hospice care were positively correlated (r=0.203, P=0.015). Conclusion: The participants' perception of hospice care was low. Most of them had no experience of hospice care education. Also, the higher the spiritual stability was, the higher the participants' perception of the purpose and the necessity of hospice care was. And their perception of the hospice care varied depending on their family relationship, satisfaction with school life, and cognition of hospice care. Therefore, we need consider these variables to develop a hospice education program to enhance college students' attitudes to death and their perception of hospice care.
Objectives: The experience of traffic accident is a kind of the psychosocial stressors to person. The traffic accident-related patients may show the psychophysiologic hyperarousal. So we examined the differences of psychophysiologic response between patients with and without the memory of experienceing a traffic accident. Methods: Twenty-four traffic accident-related patients were divided into two groups according to ther memory of a traffic accident. In psychological assessment, levels of anxiety and depression were evaluated by State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Beck's Depression Inventory, and Hamilton Rating Scales For Anxiety and Depression. Heart rate, electrodermal response (EDR), and electromyographic activity (EMG) were measured by biofeedback system, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure by automated vital sign monitor during baseline, task, and rest periods. We utilized script-driven imagery technique as a stressful task. The patients listened to the script describing their own traffic accident experience and were instructed to imagine the event during the task period. Statistically analytic data were obtained from the differences of psychological and psychophysiologic data between two groups. Results: The memory group did not show significantly higher EDR than the none memory group, but showed higher tendency during baseline, imagery, and rest periods. The memory group showed significantly lower EMG than the none memory group during rest period. However, there were no differences in other psychophysiologic reponses between the two groups. Conclusion: Our results showed that the memory group had higher tendency in autonomic arousal level such as electrodermal response than the none memory group. We suggest that physicians need to minimize repetitive imagery of traffic accident (reexperience), and decrease the autonomic hyperarousal in the treatment of traffic accident-related patients.
Multicultural families have literally started to settle in Korea since the late 1980s, yet it was not until the middle of 2000 that multicultural education was actually arisen with its full-scale discussions. Domestic studies on multicultural education have now remarkably been conducted in various aspects and points of views, but with no certain level of collective and comprehensive analysis yet. To seek Korean way of finding out appropriate solutions to its multicultural society, a contemporary major trend in the world, it is necessary to keep developing the theory and practice in Korean multicultural education with constructive criticism over the development. In this thesis, the research trends and characteristics of Korea multicultural education are analyzed according to the three categories: the times of the study, the subjects of the study, and the themes of the study. The analysis of the study themes, in particular, is done based on the four core areas presented by Bennett: equity pedagogy, curriculum reform, multicultural competence, and societal equity. Furthermore, the analysis includes the five additional Korean sub-categories, which are also acquired in the process of our analysis of the thesis: multiculturalism, global multicultural education, counselling research, measurement development, and citizenship education, added to Bennett's three sub-ones of each area. Overall, based on the analysis data, this study investigates further improvements and subsequent research themes in the following researches on Korean multicultural education.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to objectify the analysis results using the disaster safety awareness survey for high school students, which has been systematically and continuously educated since the Ferry Sewol disaster, and to promote educational effects by identifying the educational status. Method: The 12 questions of the disaster safety awareness survey were answered using the direct entry method on a Likert 5-point scale, and the SPSS 24 and varimax (orthogonal rotation) methods were used to establish and test research hypotheses. Result: As a result of the verification, it was found that the independent variables, knowledge competency and attitude competency, had a positive effect on the dependent variable, behavioral competency, and there was no multicollinearity, so it was verified that it was meaningful. Conclusion: As a result of the survey analysis, domestic disaster safety education showed a significant impact on the level of disaster safety awareness as an education that meets its goals. Various aspects of disasters show that the educational effect can be improved only when education is established as education by life cycle.

This paper analyzed 20 teaching practices of elementary mathematics lessons which were recognized as effective instruction by the local educational offices throughout Korea, using an analytic framework with 4 main domains (i.e., curriculum and content, teaching and learning, classroom environment and atmosphere, and assessment) and a total of 44 sub-elements. The results of this study showed that the lessons focused on the key mathematics concepts according to the national mathematics curriculum and learning objectives, managed students in terms of shared rules within each classroom, and evaluated students' understanding of the concepts at the end of the lesson. However, the lessons did not foster students' calculation skills and only partly used either technology or game. Building on the related studies, this paper included implications of implementing high-quality mathematics instruction.
