The Differences of Basic Psychological Needs by Interest-Major Congruence and Major Adjustment in Engineering Sophomore year of University (흥미-전공일치도와 전공적응 수준에 따른 기본심리욕구의 차이: 공학계열 2학년 대학생을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to explore the major adjustment factors in undergraduates by investigating the characteristics of group which doesn't correspond to Holland's congruence assumption. For this study, 313 sophomore year undergraduates in engineering were surveyed. The results of this study showed as follows. First, the group which doesn't correspond to Holland's congruence assumption represented 16.6% of all. Second, there were significant differences of basic psychological needs among four groups by interest-major congruence and major adjustment. These findings imply that major selection in congruence with interest is not critical and we should also consider basic psychological needs(autonomy, competence, relatedness) for engineering major adjustment.

  • This study outlined the services of the P Public Library and some other libraries in California, USA for benchmarking to develop the public library services in Korea. To perform the role of public libraries and to assure the library users' supports in Korea, the development of following services are suggested in this study: 1) information services suited to information society 2) services to supply the public and lifelong education 3) services related to the cultural and artistic desires of the local community.

  • 최근 수년간 전산망을 통한 의료정보의 이용이 학술적인 데이터베이스의 이용에서부터 인터넷을 통한 정보의 교환까지 급속도로 증가하고 있는 상황이다. 보다 신속하고 정확하며 다양한 의료정보에 대한 욕구는 일반인들뿐만 아니라 환자와 의료진 모두에게 증대되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 갑상선 질환은 지속적인 치료를 필요로 할 분만 아니라 환자가 질환을 이해하고 자기 관리를 위한 과학적인 정보의 필요성이 절실한 분야이다. 또한, 갑상선 질환을 전공하는 의료진에게도 이에 관한 의료정보 제공의 필요성은 절실하다. 의료정보에 대한 데이터베이스 구축 작업은 궁극적으로 의료서비스의 질적 향상과 질병관리의 효율화를 통한 국가 자원 낭비의 방지효과를 목적으로 하는데, 갑상선 질환 환자의 진료 및 교육지원을 위한 공공 데이터베이스 개발은 이를 구현하는데 중요한 역할을 한다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 갑상선 환자의 진료 및 교육 지원을 위해, 기존의 갑상선 환자 진료 기록에 대한 데이터베이스의 구축과 이를 인터넷을 통해 서비스 해 줄 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 윈도우 NT 상에서 Access를 이용하여 데이터베이스를 구축하였고, 윈도우 CGI 방식에 기반한 CGI 프로그램을 개발하여 인터넷과 연동 하였다.

The Relationship between Psychological Basic Needs and Career Indecision (여대생의 기본 심리 욕구와 진로미결정 간의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between psychological basic needs(autonomy, competence, relatedness) based on self-determination theory and career indecision of female college students. The participants of this study were 1,060 female college students in B city. To analyze data, cannonical correlation analysis was performed. The results of this study are as follows: First, the level of psychological basic needs was generally high among research participants and there were significant differences depending on the grades. Second, the level of career indecision was generally low and there were also significant differences depending on the grades. Third, the result of cannonical correlation analysis showed significant negative relationship between psychological basic needs and career indecision. Discussions and suggestions related to the results were provided.

  • 사이버 상담실에 대한 다수의 연구를 통해 밝혀진 사이버 상담실 운영의 필요성과 장점으로 인해 사이버 상담실을 운영하는 사례가 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 사이버 상담실은 장점만 있는 것이 아니고 익명성으로 인한 1회적이고 비인간적인 관계 형성 등과 같은 문제점을 갖기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 사이버 상담실 운영의 장점은 살리고 단점을 보완할 수 있도록 학급 홈페이지를 활용한 사이버 상담실을 구축하여 운영해 보았다. 그 결과, 학급 홈페이지를 통한 사이버 상담실 운영은 시간 부족으로 어려움을 겪는 아동과 교사, 학부모의 상담 욕구를 충족시켜 주었고 활발한 상호작용을 통한 친밀한 관계 형성 및 상담 아동에 대한 사전 정보, 계속적인 관찰 둥은 상담 효과를 극대화할 수 있었다. 또한 관심을 유도하기 위한 이벤트는 아동과 학부모를 사이버 상담실까지 유도하는데 효과적이었고 오락적 요소가 가미된 채팅보다는 기본적인 비밀게시판이 오히려 더 심도 있는 상담도구로 활용되었다.

지상(紙上) 블로그 - 전문대학 도서관 사서의 현황과 현실

  • 대학도서관 사서는 이용자에게 신속한 지식정보를 제공하고 변화하는 교육환경에 신속하게 적용하고 정보욕구를 충족시키고 조직을 발전시키기 위하여 도서관의 기본요소 항목인 사서확보와 장서확충 및 예산과 시설이 잘 갖추어 지도록 노려해야 할 것이다. 그 중에서 대학도서관이 가지는 다양한 기능과 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 도서관에 근무하는 사서의 역할이 중요하다. 왜냐하면 사서의 직무수행이 이용자에 대한 정보서비스의 품질과 밀접하기 때문이다. 특히 전문대학은 설립기관이나 교육목표에 따라 차이는 있을 수 있지만 전문인력을 양성하는 기관으로 인식되는 것은 같다. 하지만 4년제 대학에 비하여 봉사대상은 비슷한 수준임에도 불구하고 상대적으로 기준, 시설, 예산면에서 열악한 전문대학 사서의 현실과 현황을 비교해 보고 사서 구성원을 검토함으로써 전문대학만이 가지는 문제점을 파악하고 전문대학 도서관 사서도 전문직으로서 자부심을 가짐으로써 열악한 전문대학 현실에 대응할 수 있는 대처방안을 모색해 보고자 한다.

Effects of English Competence, Motivation, Achievement, and Self-Confidence on Learners' Satisfaction and Effects of EMI (영어활용능력, 영어학습동기, 영어성취욕구, 영어자신감이 영어강의 만족도 및 효과인식에 미치는 영향)

  • As a basic study on an effective operation of EMIs (English Medium Instructions) gradually expanded by social needs, the research analyses the effects of English competence, motivation, achievement, and self-confidence on learners' satisfaction and cognition of effects of EMI. Sixty-seven students (55 male and 12 female students) of the department of Civil Engineering in University A participated in the research. First, the analysis results indicate that participants evaluated their own English competence and self-confidence below average but evaluated English motivation and achievement above average. Second, participants' satisfaction with EMI was above average but they cognized its effects below average. Third, English motivation and self-confidence influenced on learners' satisfaction and cognition of effects of EMI in a meaningful way. Especially, English self-confidence influenced relatively more on the two dependent variables. Based on those result, the implications were suggested.

  • This study was to indicate the direction of the family life education program through understanding people's concerns in the family life education areas and their needs for the program conditions. The results of this study were, 1) Their priorities about educational subjects were human development and parent ing for the adolescent group and the adult group and the family relationships and parenting for the elderly group. 2) They wanted the program provided by Professional educators in social education institutes or a local autonomous entity. 3) They needed the program such as 1 week period, 1-2 hours per subject, places within 30min from home.

Analysis of Career Behaviors on the Women's Second Labor Market Transition (경력단절 여성의 노동시장 재진입 욕구형태에 따른 진로행동 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze career behaviors(job exploration, job hunting) of the need mode in the women's second labor market transition. To obtain this objective 501 women, who quitted their job in 780 women randomly sampling completed questionnaire. To analyze data, $x^2$, ANOVA were executed. Research results were explained, there were no difference career behaviors, experience of career counseling, experience of career education, aspiration of career behaviors by the need mode in the women's second labor market transition. But, there were difference motivation of labor market entry, career barriers, preference of occupations, level of job competence of career behaviors by the need mode in the women's second labor market transition. The implications of the results on women's second labor market transition of developing career education and counseling programs were discussed and finally suggestions for further study were made.

Impact of Education and Training of Travel Industry's Employees upon Internal Environmental Factor and Job Satisfaction (여행업 종업원 교육훈련이 내부환경요인과 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this treatise is to evaluate impact of education and training of travel industry's employees upon their job satisfaction and to seek for improving efficiency of such education and training and measures for personnel management. It is also to evaluate impact of education and training of travel industry's employees upon their job performance. Moreover it is attempted to make suggestions for emphasizing importance of developing potentiality of travel industry's employees and suggestions for enhancing job satisfaction of employees. Review on outcome of education and training of travel industry's employees revealed that improvement of their job satisfaction depends on contents of education and training and motivation for it, desire and ability for achievement. Also it depends on support from their superiors or colleagues and existence of environmental atmosphere. In future it is necessary to develop diverse education and training programs for the employees and not only travel industry but also competent government agencies should make long-term investment and support for fostering excellent employees in future.
