Development of Virtual Classroom for Computer System Architecture based on the Flash ActionScript (플래시 액션스크립트 기반의 컴퓨터 시스템 구조 가상 학습실 개발)

  • According to the appearance of various virtual websites using multimedia technologies for engineering education, the internet applications in engineering education have drawn much interests. But unidirectional communication, simple text/image based webpages and tedious learning process without motivation etc. have made the lowering of educational efficiency in cyberspace. Thus, to cope with these difficulties this paper presents a web-based educational Flash movies based on ActionScript language for understanding the principles of the computer system architecture. The proposed Flash movies provides the improved learning methods which can enhance the interests of learners. The results of this paper can be widely used to improve the efficiency of cyberlectures in the cyber university. Several sample Flash movies are illustrated to show the validity of the proposed learning method.

  • 최근 환경보전의식의 변화에 따라 유아들의 환경보전에 대한 경각심이 고조되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 유아들의 일상생활 속에서의 흙에 대한 내면화 과정을 단순 주입식 교육이 아닌 흙에 대한 지식을 이해하고 습득 및 필요성을 스스로 인식시킴으로써 아름다운 환경을 보전하려는 마음을 갖고 이를 실천할 수 있도록 하기 위해 2D 애니메이션 웹 컨텐츠를 설계하였다.

Focus Group Interview for childhood creativity education utilizing the media (유아 창의성 교육에 대한 현장 인식 연구 -미디어를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this research is to explore the awareness and demand of the field of childhood creativity education using media to promote childhood creativity. First of all, we conducted a focus group interview on the actual situation, awareness, and needs of media - based creativity education in early childhood education with 6 ewperts includes 2 professors 1 director, 1 assistant director, 1 teacher. As a result of FGI, first, the actual condition of childhood creativity education using media utilizes electronic bulletin board, animation fairy tale or children's song. Second, the awareness about childhood creativity education using media is recognizing that childhood can't cur off media with thir lives, so education institution utilizes the media naturally. Lastly, the demand about childhood creativity education using media asks the plan which can use childhood creativity education using media through teacher education or training educating for pre-service teachers desirably.. So, The research suggests the need of the childhood creativity education program using media later on.

  • Mobile learning, which provides educational services with a mobile platform, has been greatly expanding with the increasing spread of digital devices. The transition from PC-based online education to mobile-based education enables users to access online education anytime and anywhere. Despite this expansion of mobile learning, there is a lack of user-oriented content design. Therefore, this study intends to derive a measure to evaluate usefulness of the content design. We conducted a literature survey to reflect characteristics of existing measures, which evaluate usefulness and content of mobile learning. As educational mobile applications have both educational service and mobile device features, they can be representative of pedagogical usability criterion and can be divided into system and content areas to further develop effectiveness of learning. We conducted questionnaires on the use of these applications on 15 experts using the del phi technique. The analysis suggests the ease of use, learning efficiency, aesthetics, and ease of learning to be criteria of pedagogical usability. This study expects to serve as a basis to improve the usability of mobile learning users.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of the development of the feature length animation for movie theater by analyzing of the reasons of the success of . released in 2011 has broken box office records by drawing 2 millions since drew 760 thousands in 1976. This can be one of the success model of the animation for movie theater, considering it has had trouble not only in planning ability and scenario power but also in producing environment where subcontracts are prevalent. This box office hit seems to have been possible through cooperation and division of movie crews and animation crews. Many kinds of materials are reviewed and producer Kim Seonku was interviewed for analysis of the reasons of box office success. Followings are five reasons of success found as the result of analysis and the body of this article is composed of the argument and analysis of each. 1.This animation was planned and produced in the same way of commercial feature films. 2.There was detailed division of work while producing 3. Various kinds of investments were made sequentially, 4. Major film distributor like Lotte and CJ could be motivated 5. There were producers who can mediate between the animation and film field This study suggests the direction both in the aspect of industry and the aspect of training professionals as the result of analysis. In the industrial aspect, transitional cooperation is needed between animation filed and film field which can motivate distributor. Industrial approach like planning, investment, distribution and marketing is absolute for the success of animation for movie theater. Also in the aspect of training professionals, curriculum needs to be improved in the university because the ability and passion of the professionals in the field of animation industry are the most important and education is the most approachable way.

  • 한국의 모바일 산업은 디지털 영상 시대에 국가 전략 산업이란 이름 아래 명칭과 개념의 통일된 코드도 만들어지기 전에 세계 최고 수준의 하드웨어 인프라와 네트웍크 인프라가 형성되었다. 또한 게임과 애니메이션은 지난 5년 동안 비교육적이고 천박한 문화에서 각광 받는 돈벌이로 현대의 시대성과 가장 밀착된 표현양식으로 새롭게 평가받고 있다. 이러한 필요성에 따라서 각 대학들은 앞 다투어 모바일 관련 게임이나 애니메이션 혹은 컨텐츠 관련 과목을 개설하고 있으나 실제로 "모바일 게임, 애니메이션 제작" 과 관련된 컨텐츠가 없거나 있어도 미비한 실정이다. 본 논문은 자바프로그램과 플래시를 이용하여 모바일 컨텐츠를 제작하고 실습해 볼 수 있는 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다.

Implementation of 3D Animation using 3D Graphic SW(Blender) based on STL Files (3D 그래픽 SW(Blender)를 활용한 STL파일 기반의 3D 애니메이션 제작)

  • In this study, we have suggested a method to create 3D animation based on STL files which are easily available on the internet using Blender, which is one of the most popular open-source 3D modeling SW. And the procedure of making 3D animation using STL file was compared with those for OBJ or FBX files as well. Contrary to OBJ and FBX, STL files do not contain information regarding hierarchy, material and texture which are very important in making 3D animation. Especially the absence of hierarchy may cause serious problems in rigging, which involves movement of unwanted parts of 3D object during rigging process. It is demonstrated that the weight painting feature of Blender could be a solution to tackle the faulty rigging due to attributes of STL files. The effect of the sampling frequency and the resolution on the rendering time is also investigated with respect to the 3D mantis animation. It is also seen that insect models by 3D printer could be used as a new type of pedagogical material in the elementary science education.

On the Development of Animated Tutoring Dialogue Agent for Elementary School Science Learning (초등과학 수업을 위한 애니메이션 기반 튜터링 다이얼로그 에이전트 개발)

  • In this research, we have developed a "computer tutor" that mimics the human tutor with animated tutoring dialog agent and the agent was integrated to teaching-learning material for elementary science subject. The developed system is a natural language based teaching-learning system using one-to-one dialogue. The developed pedagogical dialogue teaching-learning system analysis student's answer then provides appropriate answer or questions after comparing the student's answer with elementary school level achievement. When the agent gives either question or answer it uses the TTS(Text-to-Speech) function. Also the agent has an animated human tutor face for providing more human like feedback. The developed dialogue interface has been applied to 64 6th grade students. The test results show that the test group's average score is higher than the control group by 10.797. This shows that unlike conventional web courseware, our approach that "ask-answer" process and the animated character, which has human tutor's emotional expression, attracts students and helps to immerse to the courseware.

  • 국내 전력소비량은 1961년 전원 개발을 본격적으로 추진한 이래 세계12위 규모로 성장하였다. 그러나 전력사용 증가에 따른 전기화재, 감전 및 설비사고 등 전기재해 역시 계속 증가하여 전체 화재사고 중 전기로 인한 화재비율이 선진국과 비교하여 크게 높은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 전기안전에 관한 국민의식 제고를 목표로 전기안전 교육을 위한 애니메이션(3D 및 2D 프로그램)을 제작하여 전기 안전문화를 조성하는 홍보매체로 활용할 수 있도록 연구를 수행하였다.
