Questions Selection System of Studying Territory due to a Studentcentered Class Level Training Management System (학습자 수준별 교육관리시스템에 의한 학습 영역의 문제 추출 시스템)

  • e-Learning 교육관리시스템은 다양한 교육 정보와 평가를 바탕으로 빠르게 확산되고 있다. 학습자의 학습 동기와 평가 성취도를 높이기 위한 연구와 기술들이 많이 적용되었다. 그러나 대부분의 교육관리시스템은 동일한 학습 내용을 일방적으로 제공하며, 학습 영역에 맞는 난이도별 문제를 추출해 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학습자의 사전진단평가와 설문조사를 바탕으로 하여 수준을 결정하고, 그에 따른 학습 영역의 내용과 문제를 난이도별 문항수를 적용, 추출하여 학습 동기와 학습 성취도를 극대화할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 본 연구의 시스템은 학습자 수준에 따른 난이도별 문항수 비율을 비례하게 적용하여 흥미도를 최대화하여, 학습 내용과 문제를 재사용하여 피드백 학습을 할 수 있도록 하였다.

Middle School Science Gifted Students' Knowledge state Analysis of Light Concept Through Evaluation Questions (평가 문항을 통한 중학교 과학영재 학생들의 빛 개념 지식상태 분석)

  • In this study, we developed and applied 15 evaluation questions about light to 30 middle school students in K University Science Education Institute for the Gifted. Then we used the theory of knowledge space and analyzed the middle school Science Gifted Students' knowledge state about light. By schematizing the hierarchy from it, we intended to not only measure students' knowledge state about light, but use it as the basic materials to improve teaching methods. To achieve the purpose of this study, we analyzed the evaluation results and individual knowledge state and hierarchy of questions. As a result, there were different knowledge structures in the individual, and we found that we should diagnose them differently. In addition, we have had implications that it has the connection with each questions and the individual knowledge state.

  • This study investigated the current science teaching evaluation system implemented in schools and directions for improving teaching evaluation using literature review, survey, and teacher interview. The first part of this paper analyzed the types, roles, and major issues of the current science teaching evaluation. In-service teachers argued that the current teaching evaluation system was discredited because of the bureaucratic procedures of teacher performance review, showcase classrooms, teachers' views on classroom as their own personal space, low ratio of teaching component in the current teacher evaluation, untrained evaluators, and the absence of professional teaching standards. The second part of the paper investigated the need for a formative teaching assessment, an ideal type of teaching assessment, and the role of participants in the teaching evaluation processes. The way forward, therefore, is to start not at the level of the administrative superstructure but at the level of teachers who will assume responsibility for developing standards of practice as the basis for evaluating their own work and improving their own professional learning to provide quality assurance.

An Adaptive Tutoring System using Concept-Map (컨셉맵을 이용한 적응형 교수 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive tutoring system, which analyzes learning process, subject materials, and test items of students, diagnoses learning problems of them, and then gives proper advice accordingly. In the system, learning materials are constructed using concept map, on which the relationships among learning concepts are represented. Concept map can be used for several purposes in instruction process. Our work considers that new learning knowledge is dependent on what is already known. That is, it means that precedent concepts should be thoroughly learned for students to comprehend new concepts. After grasping the learning state of students for precedent concepts to be required before learning new concepts, our system provides proper learning materials for want of them, diagnoses the concepts which students have trouble to understand in the learning process, and provides suggestions for it.

Comparative Education and Educational Evaluation (비교교육학과 교육평가학)

  • This study was conducted to help establish the status of comparative education as an academic discipline by investigating its relationship with educational evaluation. Comparative education as a subfield of education covers other areas of study in education, while educational evaluation is a study of methodology. First, international comparative study was investigated, and recent methodologies in educational evaluation were introduced. International comparative study started in 1960's, and is being expanded. The participating countries hope for better education by comparing their educational curricula and practices with others. For international comparative studies, a differential item functioning analysis as a multigroup analysis can provide information on what sociocultural factors other than the construct are affecting the measurement results. The study dataset has a hierarchical structure so that multilevel item response theory is suitable to obtain multidimensional national profiles. Although there have been methodological advances in educational evaluation, the methods are not available in comparative education. In order to reduce the gap, scholars in educational evaluation should try to make the methods easily available, while those in comparative education should try to use the exact and precise methods in their studies.

  • Today, most education activities in the junior or senior schools are connected with evaluation. In fact, the evaluation to be accomplished is not the practice of college or university entrance examination but the evaluation analysis of studies accomplishment. In this program, students process their teaming contents according to their level, and they evaluate the accomplishment of learning by themselves. Through the various analysis of evaluation, students who are not in the appropriate level get into the learning plan of low level course. This study makes them notice the lack of teaming ability in time and proposes proper evaluation system which offers right feedbacks and various analysis information for themselves.

  • This study aims to improve User eXperience (UX) of the diagnostic-supplement learning system for Basic academic skills which has been utilized by teachers nationwide since 2015 in order to provide a consistent and systematic support on students' basic academic skills in K-12 school contexts. To achieve the research objective, usability evaluations such as basic questionnaire about UX/UI of the system according to user types, user testing, in-depth interview, expert heuristics were conducted. In addition, user-centered system was suggested through developing and iteratively evaluating the prototypes based on the user requirements drawn from the findings of such quantitative and qualitative usability evaluations. This study has an implication in suggesting the user-friendly design through the UX/UI improvements of the diagnostic-supplement learning system for Basic academic skills.

  • The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a LED (LEarner Diagnosis system). Mathematics which has learning hierarchies is difficult to learn, if learners don't understand previous learning contents. Before a learner starts learning, the LED offers diagnostic problems to diagnose the learner's understanding ability of the previous learning contents. If the learner don't understand it, then the LED present supplementary contents. After finishing the study, the learner has to pass the test to diagnose whether the learner do mastery learning. The LED makes learners do supplement previous contents, if learners don't understand it, and master all of the contents, learners can achieve learning object.

  • 이동 통신 가입자 수가 빠르게 늘어가면서 무선 인터넷 기술은 다양한 형태의 데이터 제공이 가능해 지고 이에 대한 교육적 활용에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 이에 따라 무선 인터넷만의 장점인 이동성, 실시간성, 휴대성, 편리성, 개별화, 차별화 등을 이용하여 학습에 적용하는 것은 매우 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 또한 학습에 있어서 학습하고자 하는 욕구인 동기가 중요시되어야 하며 이에 따라 학습 성취도는 큰 영향을 가진다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 보편적으로 잘 알려진 Keller의 ARCS 모형을 기반으로 하여 무선 인터넷 환경에 적합하도록 수정, 보완하여 동기 모형을 제시하고 적용하고자 한다. 본 모형의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개별화 및 차별화에 중점을 두었다. 모바일 환경의 가장 큰 특징인 개별화, 차별성을 부각시켜 동기 전략에 적용하였다. 둘째, 학습자 진단에 비중을 두어 설계하였다. 모바일에서 개별화의 가장 큰 기준이 되므로 정확한 진단을 할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째, 무선 인터넷에 적합한 동기 전략을 제시하여 단계별 적용을 용이하도록 하였다. 넷째, 평가 및 피드백 후 교사에 의한 학생 개개인의 결과를 제시하도록 하였으며, 이를 통해 후속 학습에 도움이 되도록 하였다. 또한, 본 동기 모형을 초등학교 3학년 쓰기 활동에 적용하였다.

Design and Implementation of Differentiated Web Courseware for ICT Education in Elementary Schools (초등학교 ICT 소양교육을 위한 수준별 웹 코스웨어의 설계 및 구현)

  • This study designed and implemented differentiated web courseware for ICT education based on the analysis of the contents of the guidelines for information and communications technology education in elementary schools. The web courseware was designed to provide students with self-directed, differentiated learning in ICT education. The contents of the courseware consist of 'understanding of the computer,' 'mouse and keyboard,' and 'surfing on the Internet.' Each of the contents includes diagnostic and formative evaluations so that students can select their own learning activities of the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. The web courseware is expected to be used as self-directed learning materials for ICT education through learner-centered differentiated learning activities.
