AGV Distance Learning Model Based on Virtual Simulation (가상 시뮬레이션 기반의 AGV 원격 교육 모델)

  • The start of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has brought about various changes in the domestic industry in general, and smart factories have spread to companies in the fields of production, manufacturing and logistics, and they are using automation equipment. Especially in the field of logistics automation, AGVs are widely used, and most of them use the line guidance system, which is the traditional AGV drive system. In addition, the demand for AGV system developers, system operators and managers, and maintenance personnel is increasing, and the installation of systems for education is expensive and requires a large space to utilize. It is a situation where systematic education is difficult. In this paper, we propose a virtual simulation-based AGV distance education model for smooth practice of trainees. The proposed model consisted of a model that can drive the AGV by analyzing video information, instead of the line guidance method that is the conventional technology. As a result of self-diagnosis evaluation, it was confirmed that the experimental group through online education had an average satisfaction level of 0.65 higher than the control group using existing equipment, and that it could be used in an online education environment.

  • The coffee market has been rapidly growing up recently as well as the coffee industry which makes the number of educational institutions increasing in Korea. On the other hand, the classes lean too much on the practical exercise so the coffee education is urgently needed to define precisely and systematize academically. This study is accomplished on the basis of the teachers and students requirement analysis. The features that sets this study apart from the existing educational digital media is that the definite teaching-learning methods and teaching strategies were developed first. Furthermore, the physical and chemical phenomenon of coffee brewing were simulated by 3D animation software based on the visual languages. The general process of this media production was composed by the mutual relationship of the teacher's needs, educationist's strategies and media producer. After applying the digital media to students in the lesson of coffee science theory it was effective to increase their concentrativeness, interesting and learning motive. This media is also receiving the positive evaluation by the teachers to help the students in understanding the coffee science.

  • The purpose of this study is 3 dimensional modeling of lower part of drilling system in offshore rig and simulation of drilling process. Recently, shipbuilding companies have been focusing on offshore rigs due to their high added-value and the reduced demand of new shipbuilding. In most cases, however, the basic design, installation and management of offshore rig are carried out by foreign companies. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain the knowledge and information of drilling system. In this study drilling devices, BOP(Blowout Preventor) and cementing job and mud circulation related components are included as the main components of offshore rig. The structure and function of them were analyzed from a viewpoint of object-oriented technique. On the basis of this analysis they were modeled in the 3 dimensional structure with 3D software tool such as CATIA and 3DVIA Composer. The drilling process was simulated according to the scenario of drilling operation. This simulation system can be effectively used for an educational tool for students and engineers in ocean plant industries.

  • It is the advantage of robot programming to improve the learners' interest. However, the drawback is existed in the fact that it is not easy to determine whether the problem lies in the hardware factor or programmed logic when an error takes place. This study is an attempt to develop a simulation tool which assists learners to concentrate on the problems not relating to robot assembling but to robot program. It aims to enable beginners make a sketch of their ideas and examine their logic through simulation. Therefore, an Etoys-based robot programming tool is developed to allows user to download and execute the simulated program into an assembled robot. The significance of this study is that easy activity of sketch-based simulation can support learners to understand how the principles of computer science are applied in daily life such as an automatic door system.

  • There has been an increasing interest in new industry and demand creations by the convergence and integration between IT and infrastructure and BT, NT, and CT and the convergence of IT and spread of cloud computing have changed the IT service environment. Even in the educational field, the convergence and integration of contents with various IT have rapidly emerged and learning equipments for the educational purpose have expanded to the mobile media platform from PCs so that learning without limitations to time, place and equipment has become possible. Contents necessary for the smart education are under way by research development utilizing cyber reality and simulation, and 3D technologies. The purpose of this study is to propose marine contents use and service plans for the educational purpose in order to produce various types of contents for the marine life and environment, to improve the school achievement by stimulating interest and to provide individually customized learning.

  • This study is to review current state of web-based simulations for science learning about magnets and magnetic field, and evaluate the appropriateness of simulations in terms of contents, strategies and design. We designed a set of criteria for evaluating science simulations and applied it to 14 simulations about magnets and magnetic field. For the evaluation, eight elementary teachers participated and they described specific characteristics of each simulation according to the criteria. Based on the evaluation, we divided the simulations into two groups, excellent vs. normal groups. We analyzed strengths from the simulations in excellent group and weaknesses from the simulations in normal group according to the contents, learning strategies, screen format, and technical features. Implications for ways of improvement in developing web-based science simulations effective to science teaching and learning about magnets and magnetic field were discussed.

The paper describes 3D flight visual training program of driving airplane in practice. It is for beginners using joystick in PC, implements airplane physical equations. And it uses rendering technology to implement vision parts of flying object.
