This society is rapidly changing into an information-oriented society. As such, revolutionary and efficient teaching methods are needed in school education rather than traditional methods. To be an efficient teaching lesson, teaching plans based on learners' prior knowledge are needed. The knowledge-space theory provides the methods of efficient analysis about learners' status of knowledge. This study designs and implements the support-learning tool based on the knowledge-space theory to increase the efficiency in classroom lessons through the development of various methods of analysis of learners' knowledge status.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to assess the methodological and reporting quality of the systematic reviews in the Journal of Korean obstetrics and gynecology. Methods: Systematic reviews in the Journal of Korean obstetrics and gynecology were selected from January 1987 to February 2021, by searching Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS) and the search system of the Society of Korean medicine obstetrics and gynecology. The methodological and reporting quality was assessed using A MeaSurement Tool to Assess systematic Reviews 2 (AMSTAR 2) tool and Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist. Results: Total of 19 systematic reviews were finally included for this study. The levels of methodological quality were low in 63.2% and very low in 36.8%. As a result of evaluating the reporting quality, 22 to 15 (average 18.6) items out of 27 items (81.5 to 55.6%) were reported. Conclusions: The results of a systematic review are helpful in giving a high level of evidence. In order to improve the quality of systematic reviews published in the Journal of Korean Obstetrics and Gynecology, it is necessary to perform and report according to the the PRISMA checklist and AMSTAR 2.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between the insulin resistance and depressive mood, suicidal ideation, psychological stress, and quality of life in general Korean population. Methods : We selected 3,613 subjects from the third year's data of 6th Korean National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey. Insulin resistance was evaluated with Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance. Questionnaires on depressive mood, suicidal ideation and psychological stress were conducted. The quality of life was assessed with the EuroQol-5 dimension index. We used correlation and regression analysis for analysis. Results : The risk of depressive mood and suicidal ideation was significantly higher in the insulin resistance group than in the control group. The risk of psychological stress was significantly higher in the male group with insulin resistance. The EuroQol-5 dimension index showed a negative correlation with insulin resistance. After adjusting for age, sex and body mass index, increased risk of suicidal ideation was identified only. Conclusions : We confirmed that insulin resistance is associated to mental health problems related with depression in Korean adults.

Objectives : This study analyzes herbs combinations and primary virtues that constitute the prescriptions of Gyeji-tang, Mahwang-tang, and Daecheongryong-tang to effectively analyze medication preparations described in "Shanghanlun" using database, and test the results of the data structure and effectiveness of queries. Methods : This study enters "Sanghanjapbyeongronyeonggudaeseong" as the original text into the database, and even uses one provision as independent knowledge by dividing provisions in accordance with the content. Results : Five tables and 12 queries were created and used for data input and analysis. Using the types of Herbs included in the prescriptions, this study manages to search for the same or supplemented prescriptions, and the primary virtues of the prescriptions were collected and compared. Conclusions : Subject to the combination of herbs and pathology for the prescriptions described in "Shanghanlun" utilizing the database, this study found relevant texts and combinations of herbs and pathologies, and using this, the time required for theoretical research between prescriptions could be shortened.

Kamii는 피아제의 발생론적 인식론이란 이론을 모태로 수학을 지도해야 학습자가 수학을 이해를 바탕으로 학습할 수 있다는 믿음을 지니고 있다. 본고에서는 Kamii가 이런 신념을 갖고 실시한 수업을 녹화한 비디오 자료에 나타나는 특징을 분석하였다. 첫 번째 특징은, 교사가 가르쳐야 할 지식을 직접적으로 지도하지 않는 대신에 학습자가 스스로 지식을 구성할 수 있도록 매개자의 역할을 한다는 점이다. 두번째, 기저지식으로서 학습자의 비형식적 지식을 학습자가 적극적으로 활용할 수 있도록 허용하는 분위기이다. 세 번째, 두 번째와 관련되어서 학습자의 사고과정은 성인이나 학문적 체계에서 운용되고 있는 사고 흐름과는 다르다는 것을 인정해 준다. 네 번째, 교사의 역할이 가르쳐야 할 지식을 가르치는데(전수하는데) 있는 것이 아니라 학습자들이 생성해 낸 여물지 않은 아이디어들을 익힐 수 있도록 환경을 조성하는데 있다. 다섯 번째, 학습자마다 기저지식이 다르기 때문에 동일한 학습주제라 할지라도 이해의 폭과 깊이가 다르다. 따라서, 전체학급을 대상으로 하는 수업 중이라 할지라도 개별적 학습을 염두에 두어야 한다. 학생들의 수학적 이해력이 저하된다는 염려의 목소리가 높아지고 있다. 이는 학생들이 이해를 바탕으로 한 수업을 받아 보지 못하기 때문이며, 이런 원인은 아마도 교사 자신이 이해를 바탕으로 한 수업 경험이 간접적으로든 직접적으로든 없기 때문일 것이다. Kamii가 실시한 수업이 학생 스스로 수학을 학습할 수 있다는 구성주의 원리를 적용한 성공적인 사례이며, 이와 같은 방향으로의 교수법의 변화가 있기를 기대한다.

We investigated whether the 81 items of the Gray-Wheelwright test correctly measure the concept of Jung's typology and aimed to refine the test. Participants (n=431) completed the Gray-Wheelwright test, and the results were analyzed using factor analysis with the varimax rotation and the maximum likelihood extraction method. A pair of opposing attitudes, introversion/extroversion, or one of the two pairs of opposing functional types, thinking/feeling or intuition/sensation, was labeled to the extracted factor according to the majority type of the items in the factor. The minority items or items not included in any factors were excluded from making a short form of the Gray-Wheelwright test with 45 items. We used intraclass correlation (ICC) coefficient and Cronbach's alpha for the test-retest reliability and internal consistency of the test, respectively. The newly developed short form of the Gray-Wheelwright test measured the Jung's personality types well, which was comparable to the original one while reducing time and effort required for the testing.

Objectives : The publication of systematic reviews (SRs) has increased significantly over the years, and systematic reviews are considered to have the strongest evidence as they are at the top of the hierarchy of evidence pyramid. In this study, a thorough assessment of all SRs published in Journal of Society of Preventive Korean Medicine (JSPKM) was performed to evaluate their reporting quality and methodological quality to better improve the quality of SRs in JSPKM. Methods : JSPKM website was searched to include all SRs published in JSPKM from 1997 to 2018. Two independent researchers assessed the SRs using A MeaSurement Tool to Assess systematic Reviews (AMSTAR, formerly known as Assessment of Multiple Systematic Reviews) tool checklist for methodological quality assessment, and Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guideline checklist for reporting quality assessment. Results : Out of 618 published articles published in JSPKM from 1997 to 2018, only 3 SRs were identified as SRs. For AMSTAR methodological quality scoring, the average score of 3 SRs was 3.0 out of 11 which is low quality level. For PRISMA reporting quality items, the 3 SRs reported 17.3 items on average out of 27 items. The 3 identified SRs did not provide information on protocol or registration which is included in both AMSTAR assessment tool and PRISMA guideline. Conclusions : Improvements on reporting quality and methodological quality of SRs using relevant tools or guidelines are needed to assure the quality of SRs published in JSPKM so that their conclusions will be more transparent and reliable for decision-making in healthcare and the best clinical practice.

The current applications can be characterized as consisting of complex objects related by complex relationship. Therefore the relational database has been extended to object-relational database because of the complex objects. Accordingly, we need database design methodology for object-relational database. In this pager, we develop an integrated design methodology based on a extended UML class diagram for object-relational database. We make the extend UML class diagram by adding new stereotypes for object-relational database. Also we propose a guideline for transforming the extended UML class diagram to object-relational database schema. We use SQL:1999 as a object-relational data model and Oracle11g as a target object-relational database. We can build more easily and efficiently object-relational database for Oracle11g by using our methodology. Finally we applied our methodology on a computer classroom reservation system for evaluation the methodology.

Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the effects of resilience on posttraumatic stress symptoms and dissociation and whether depression mediates the relationships between resilience and posttraumatic stress symptoms and dissociation. Methods : A total of 115 firefighters participated in the study. Data were collected via the Life Events Checklist, Impact of Event Scale-Revised, Dissociative Experience Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. Structural equation modeling and path analysis were applied to estimate the relationships between resilience, depression, posttraumatic stress symptoms, and dissociation. Results : Greater resilience was associated with lower posttraumatic stress symptoms and dissociation, and the relationship between them was fully mediated by depression. Conclusions : Specific aspects of depression may help explain the relationships between resilience and posttraumatic stress symptoms and dissociation. Tailored prevention programs and treatments based on resilience and depression may prevent posttraumatic stress symptoms and dissociation in firefighters and improve treatments outcomes among firefighters with posttraumatic stress symptoms and/or dissociation.
