An analysis on the research trend of teaching and learning methods of informatics education in Korea (정보 교육의 교수·학습 방법에 대한 국내 연구 동향 분석)

  • The 2015 revised educational curricula focused on creative and convergent student education, so the importance of informatics education is arising along with emphases on its teaching and learning methods. This study has analyzed the research trend of teaching and learning methods and suggested their implications by selecting 179 studies of same keyword searching from 2000 to the present years and classifying them into 16 categories. This analysis showed that problem based learning was the most researched topic on these subjects, while unplugged learning, Creative Problem Solving model and peer teaching were among the actively studied topics. In the content domain of informatics curriculum, the problem solution and programming was most researched. This study is expected to suggest implications for not only studying informatics education research but also selecting teaching and learning methods in the field of class for teachers.

Effect of Spanish Classes on Academic Achievement on Strengthening Learner-centered Communication (학습자중심 소통 강화 스페인어 수업이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study attempted to investigate academic achievement and cooperative ability as problem-based learning to strengthen communication in Spanish courses. 70 learners taking Spanish at A University from September to December, 2021 were divided into an experimental and a control class to examine their academic achievement and cooperate ability. Academic achievement was not statistically significant, but the sub-area of communication was significant as 0.031 (*p<.05) and the cooperative ability of the experimental group, the average was increased, but it was not statistically significant. Based on this study, continuous follow-up research to develop teaching methods and teaching and learning models suitable for strengthening Spanish communication through various learner-centered convergence teaching methods will contribute to fostering talent desired by the 21st century.

  • 그 동안 웹 프로그램 언어인 HTML에 대한 교수-학습 방안과 온라인 학습에 대한 연구들이 이루어져 왔지만 단순 태그 기능 학습에 그쳐 고급사고력을 높이는 프로그래밍학습의 목표를 달성하기는 부족하였다. 본 논문에서는 학습자의 창의력과 문제해결력을 높여주기 위한 HTML 교수-학습 지원 시스템을 설계하였다. HTML 교수-학습 지원시스템은 구성주의 교육 방법인 문제중심학습(Problem-Based Learning)을 이론적 토대의 하여 설계되었으며 나선형 교육과정의 원리에 따라 이원화된 학습요소들에 의해 학습의 위계를 실정하였다. 이 교수-학습지원시스템에서 HTML 학습에 대한 평가는 구성주의 원리에 입각하여 다양한 방식을 통해 지속적으로 이루어지도록 하였다. 또한 교수-학습에 활용되는 해결 과제는 같은 수준, 같은 영역의 문제은행을 축적하여 교수자가 자유롭게 상황에 맞게 선택하여 활용하도록 하였으며, 학습자의 학습 곁과를 통계자료와 도표를 통해 한눈에 살펴보고 적절한 피드백을 주도록 설계하였다. 이와 같은 원리를 토대로 한 교수-학습지원시스템 설계를 통해 학습자가 보다 많은 프로그래밍 경험을 축적하여 창의적이고 자기주도적으로 웹 프로그래밍을 할 수 있는 능력을 키워줄 수 있음을 기대하였다.

  • 4차 산업혁명 시대를 맞이하여 창의적인 프로그래밍 학습을 위한 교육활동이 중요해지고 있다. 프로그래밍 교수학습 방법에 대한 많은 연구들 중에서 특히 알고리즘과 프로그래밍 교육은 초보 학습자들이 프로그래밍 활동을 효과적으로 하기 위한 중요한 교육이 될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 언플러그드 활동, 스크래치와 자바스크립트 프로그래밍 활동을 통한 수업을 진행하고, 프로그램 인식과 수업만족도를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 프로그래밍 활동에 대한 흥미와 문제해결에 대한 인식이 모두 높았고, 프로그래밍 활동의 두려움을 극복하는 모습을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 초보 학습자를 위한 프로그래밍 활동에서 알고리즘을 작성하고 프로그래밍 언어로 구현하는데 도움을 주는 교수학습 방법을 제시했다는데 의의가 있다.

  • Recently, Internet utilization ratio of elementary school students is urgently increasing. On the other hand, elementary school students are not doing personal information management properly in the Internet. As a result, it is causing problem of information leakage. In this paper, we proposed a instructional learning method to teach importance of personal information management to an elementary school student. Proposed method is based on role-play instructional learning method. And applied to the third-year class in elementary school. We show that proposed method is effect in education than traditional teaching method about personal information management's importance.

  • 현재, 사회가 정보화 되어감에 따라 교육분야에서 컴퓨터의 가치는 더욱 높아지고 있으며, 기존의 교실위주의 수업보다 시간적 공간적 제약을 덜 받게 되는 WBI(Web Based Instruction)는 무한한 발전 가능성을 가지고 있다. 하지만 기존의 WBI에서는 교수의 강의가 끝나면 수업 평가 후 학생에게 수업의 결과를 알려주는 형식이었고, 도한 학습자에게는 일률적으로 평가가 적용되어 학생의 수준에 맞는 수업을 할 수가 없었으며, 교수의 입장에서도 학생들의 평가 결과가 수업의 질을 높이거나 내용을 변경시킬 근거가 될 수는 없었다. 따라서 수준별 학습을 위한 단계별 예비 테스트와 학습 후 테스트의 평가내용을 다양한 방법으로 시각적으로 제시하고, 또한 교수가 평가의 준거를 입력하고 학습자의 평가결과와 교수자의 평가준거를 비교할 수 있는 교수지원 컴포넌트를 작성하고자 한다. 이는 체계적인 평가 방법론이 되고 학습의 패러다임을 바꾸거나 과목을 변경할 경우, 그 결과에 따라 교수 방법의 변화나 수업내용을 변경하고자할 때 용이하다. 또한 유사한 다른 패러다임의 WBI 시스템에서도 이미 개발된 컴포넌트를 사용함으로써, 사용의 용이성과 이식성, 재사용성을 높일 수 있게 한다.

  • This study addresses the plan and methods of teaching/learning ethical aspects of science in the secondary schools, which were developed by the authors based on their 3 year research on ethical aspects of science and its teaching/learning. The general teaching/learning plan is composed of the instructional objectives of teaching/learning ethical aspect of science, its teaching/learning method and strategies, curricular content, and assessment. The article also attempted to describe a few words of care to keep in mind when apply the model and methods in the science classrooms.

Database teaching and learning effects applying the situated learning theory (상황학습 이론을 적용한 데이터베이스 교수 학습 효과)

  • To determine efficient methods of database teaching, this paper applied the situated learning theory to the teaching and learning method and analyzed the effects. Previous related studies were also examined, with the essential contents in database analyzed based on Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives. Moreover, this paper presented a strategy wherein the contents of database learning are classified into two categories: basic knowledge and technical and extended knowledge. Experimental and control groups were selected based on related studies, and the effects of database teaching and learning method, determined by technique and attitude area as well as knowledge area. After preparing and applying to the teaching and learning method the actual educational curriculum, the following results were drawn: (1) the experimental group showed better performance in terms of understanding the concept of database, operating database, and constructing a database table when the situated learning theory was applied to the teaching method, and; (2) the experimental group was also more receptive compared to the control group, which opted to take technique-oriented database courses. Therefore, various teaching and learning methods aside from the situated learning theory should be applied and analyzed in database and computer science fields for maximum effects.

A Meta-Analysis on the Effects of Academic Achievement in Web-Based Instruction (웹 기반 교수-학습이 학업성취에 미치는 영향에 대한 메타 분석)

  • The purpose of this study has been found to be effective using web-based instruction than traditional teaching-learning method on academic achievement applying the meta-analysis method. The results of this study were as follows: First, The 85% subject of analysis of web-based instruction selected in this study turned out to be clear effective than traditional teaching-learning method in academic achievement of students. Second, Web-based instruction is more effective for academic achievement of elementary school students and university students than for middle school students and high school students relatively. Third, Web-based instruction is a most effective method in social subject and physical education but less effective in language subject. The overall results of this study concluded more powerful and big decisions which have integrated each different effects on academic achievement of studies web-based instruction method applying meta-analysis. Through this study, make better results were obtained and suggested the base line data and direction for follow up studies.

Study of Teaching Strategies and Methods of Programming Education based on the Learning Style (학습 양식 기반의 프로그래밍 교수 전략과 방법 연구)

  • In this paper I present the teaching strategies and methods of programming education based on the learning style which teachers can apply it to their class on condition that learning style can classify their students' preferences about learning strategies and methods. Recent related researches that prove the differences about student's specific abilities based on their learning styles could never help teachers design and do their teaching of programming in the class. Therefore this study about teaching strategies and methods of programming education will be necessarily. I propose the teaching strategies and methods of programming education based on the learning styles as a results of questionnaire to some professors of computer science education in university. Then, I design and do programming education in the experimental class in order to verify the availability of the proposed teaching strategies and methods. After teaching in class, I evaluate the statistical results of students' achievement test of programming. This study has some restrictions about small number of class and periods of teaching programming, but it will be a good case study about teaching strategies and methods of programming education based on the learning style.
