A Study on the In-depth Relationship between Facilities Safety Design Components and Parents Satisfaction and Psychological Stability in Children's Swimming Pool (어린이 전용 수영장의 시설안전디자인 구성요소와 학부모 만족, 심리적 안정과의 심층적 관계 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of facility safety design components of children's swimming pool facilities on parents' satisfaction and psychological stability. A total of 13 facilities used 324 out of 360 people collected through field visits as final research materials to achieve their goals. One-on-one in-depth interviews were conducted with a total of eight experts, including one administrator, three professors, one reporter, and three researchers. The following results were obtained using the IBM SPSS Statistics Ver. 24 statistical package: First, the facility safety design component factors affect the satisfaction of parents. Second, the factors of facility safety design components affect psychological stability. Third, parents' satisfaction factors affect psychological stability. Fourth, the facility safety design plan for children's swimming facilities is a total of four categories, suggesting 12 measures, including basic safety manual installation, use of mobile movement buffers, use of lane hypothetical steps, and up to 3:1 lessons for beginners.

Development and evaluation of Pre-Parenthood Education Program for high school students based on Home Economics subject (고등학생을 위한 가정교과 기반 예비부모교육 프로그램 개발 및 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate pre-parenthood education program(PPEP) based on Home Economics(HE) subject for high school students. The development and evaluation of PPEP based on HE subject in this study followed ADDIE model except implementation through 4 processes such as analysis, design, development, and evaluation. First, program development directions were set in three aspects such as 'general development', 'contents', and 'teaching and learning methods'. Themes of the program are 11 in total such as '1. Parenting, what is being a parent', '2. Choosing your spouse, happy marital relationship, the best gift to your children', '3. Pregnancy and birth, a moving meeting with a new life', '4. Taking care of a new born infant for 24 hours', '5. Taking care of infants, relationship with my lovely baby, attachment', '6. Taking care of young children, my child from another planet', '7. Parents and children in healthy family', '8. Parent-child relationship, wise parents to make effective interaction with their children', '9. Parents safety manager at home,', '10. Practice to take care of infants', and '11. Practice of community nurturing support service development'. In particular, learning activities of the program have major characteristics such as 1) utilization of cases including practice problems related to parenting, 2) community exchange activities utilizing learned knowledge and techniques, 3) actual life project activities utilizing learning contents related with parenting, 4) activities inducing positive changes in current life of high school students, and 5) practice activities for the necessities of life such as food, clothing and shelter supporting development of children. Second, the program was developed according to the design. Teaching-learning plans and materials for 17 classes were developed according to 11 themes. The developed plans include class flow and teacher's reference. It starts with receiving a class-related message from a virtual child at the introduction stage and ended with replying to the message by summarizing contents of the class and making a promise as a parent-to-be. That is the basic frame of class flow. Learning materials included various plans and reports necessary for learning activities and they are prepared in details so that they can be play the role of textbooks in regular curriculum. Third, evaluation of developed program was executed by a 5 point Likert scale survey on 13 HE experts on two aspects of program development process and program development results. In the evaluation of development process, mean value was 4.61 and index of content validity was 97.4%. For development results, mean value was 4.37 and index of content validity was 86.9%. These values showed that validity in the development process and results in this study was highly secured and confirmed that PPEP based on HE was appropriate and valid to enhance parent qualifications of high school learners.

Screen Printing Designs using the Lotus as a Source of Inspiration and Selected Design Criteria by E. Paul Torrance (E.Paul Torrance 의 디자인 기준에 의하여 선택된 연화문(蓮花紋)을 응용한 스크린 프린팅 디자인 연구)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 「Guiding Crieative Talent」의 저자이자 교수인 E.Pual Torrance에 의하여 제시된 디자인 기준(design criteria) 중에 3가지 디자인 기준을 선택하여, 스크린 프린팅기법에 의거, 일련의 디자인을 제작하는 것이다. 이 디자인 기준은 1958년, Torrance에 의하여 수행된 \"The Minnesota Tests of Creative Thinking\" 중 일부이다. 그는 \"창의적인 발상전개에 있어서 보다 더 주의를 요하는 것은 마지막 생산물(the products)이 아니라 그것의 과정(the process)인 것이다.\"라고 강조해 왔으며, 창의적 사고에 관한 개념을 제시해 왔다. 본 연구의 디자인은 그 창작의 착상의 모티브(motif)로써 연화문(蓮花紋)을 선택하여 다양한 디자인의 스크린 프린팅을 창작하였다. 12개의 디자인이 제작되었데, 그것은 Torrance에 의하여 제안된 약 20개의 기준(criteria) 가운데 저자가 디자인 착상에 있어서 최소한의 기본요소라 생각되어, 임의로 선택한 3가지 기준에 의하여 만들어졌다. :3가지 기준이란 1) 모티브(motif)의 수적증가(multiplication) 2) 모티브(motif)의 위치변화 3) 모티브(motif)의 모양변화이다. 전체적인 디자인과 테두리 디자인(border design)이 선택적으로 디자인 과정에 포함되었으며, 최종적으로 12개의 디자인이 선택, 1가지의 색채를 이용하여 스크린 프린팅에 의하여 제작되었다. 디자인 제작과정으로, Torrance의 각각의 디자인 기준에 의한 여러 장의 스케치를 그린 후, 그중 12개의 스케치를 임의로 선택하여 옷감위에 프린팅하였다. 디자인 제작 결과, 저자가 선택한 3개의 디자인 기준만으로도 다양한 수의 서로 다른 디자인 창작이 가능하였으며 본 연구에서는 1개의 디자인 기준을 선택 응용하였으나 보다 많은 디자인 기준을 선택하여 동시에 비교 연구하는 것도 필요하다고 본다. 그리고 1개 이상의 디자인 모티브(motif)를 함께 디자인 착상에 이용하는 것도 가능하다고 본다.

  • The coursewares available on the web are on active development by each country all over the world in accordance with web prevailing. Many Visual Basic language courseware is also into web-based education it is not improving the effect of learning. Hence through this study, in orer to be out of the said kind of approach, 1)by adding multimedia elements with making the best of web characteristics, 2)escalating the studying effect of learners' with experimental environment, and 3)providing proper feedbacks in assessment of learners' reactions 4)we invented web-based multimedia courseware with the technology of Real Encoder, Real Player, Active X etc. and tried adapting it to school education field on the basis of design model of professor-learning system.

  • 온라인 학습 환경을 효율적으로 구성하는 것은 학습자의 학습 성공을 촉진할 뿐만 아니라 학습과정의 이해에 절대적으로 필요한 일이다. 만일 학습자와 교수자가 효율적으로 교류하면 학습자가 느끼는 심리적 거리감은 상당히 최소화될 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구는 학습자들의 온라인 학습에서 교류적 거리의 구조 지각은 성별에 따라 달라지는가를 알아보고 온라인 환경에서의 수업만족도, 지속성, 학업성취도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 구조의 하위영역이 무엇인지를 밝혀 학습자들의 학습효과를 체계적으로 높일 수 있는 온라인 환경의 요소를 탐색하는데 있다. 설문을 통해 수집된 자료는 연구 목적에 따라 다양한 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구 결과 학습자의 일반적 특성인 성별에 따른 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준은 의의있는 차이가 없었다(p>.05). 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준과 학습자가 지각하는 수업만족도간에 의의있는 상관이 있었으며, 학습자의 학습 지속성과도 통계적으로 의의있는 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학업성취도와 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준 간에는 유의의한 차이가 발견되지 않았다(p>.05). 교류적 거리의 구조 하위영역 중 수업만족도에 대한 영향력이 큰 하위영역은 과정 상호 작용이며, 학습 지속성에 대한 영향력이 큰 하위영역은 내용 구성요인으로 나타났다.

  • The science education reforms put the emphasis of scientific literacy, so that students can understand how scientific knowledge is constructed through scientific inquiry at schools. However, scientific inquiry at schools has a problem as a cookbook system without the opportunity of developing argumentation, where students could understand how they use evidence to support their theory or vice versa. Teachers are supposed to understand the basic elements, purpose, and definition of scientific inquiry to implement authentic scientific inquiry at schools, then develop the instructional strategies of providing the opportunity of scientific argumentation to meet its needs.

  • Although it has taken some time to apply the accreditation system in Korea, most programs have a very difficult time in assessing program outcomes, one of the most important standards in accreditation. The major purpose of this work is to suggest a method, so called course embedded assessment, by which to assess a course that includes several program outcomes. The course was evaluated based on student performance on each exam taken in the course as well as a report submitted by the students. The course embedded assessment provides not only an effective tool by which to assess course-set program outcomes, but also allow the instructor to follow up and/or modify the course material to be offered in next semester.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a program for improvement of the mathematical creativity of mathematical gifted children in the elementary gifted class and to examine the effect of developed program. Gifted education program is developed through analyzing relevant literatures and materials. This program is based on the operation bingo game related to the area of number and operation, which accounts for the largest portion in the elementary mathematics. According to this direction, the mathematically gifted educational program has been developed. According to the results which examine the effectiveness of the creative problem solving by the developed program, students' performance ability has been gradually improved by feeding back and monitoring their problem solving process continuously.

  • This study is carried out as a precedent work for the implementation of an Open Access Initiative(OAI) compatible with Korean libraries. Institutional Repository is a new concept for collecting, managing, disseminating, and preserving scholarly works created in digital form by faculty and researchers in individual organizations according to open access paradigm. This study briefly outlines the need for Institutional Repository, their role, constitutional elements, benefits and drawbacks. This is followed by recent case studies of SHEPRA, Dspace, eDoc Server and dCollection. The conceptual model of Institutional Repository was suggested and the key considerations to be taken into account for the successful implementation of Institutional Repository at the beginning stage were proposed from a stakeholder's perspective.

  • Changwon National University has been developing and using a computerized supporting system named SAVIORS for ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) related tasks since the year of 2001. The main purpose of the development of SAVIORS is to totally computerize all tasks related to ABTEK so that faculty staff may perform their job as readily and efficiently as possible. In this paper, detailed functions and utilization records of the SAVIORS are introduced for sharing the advantages of the system with other institutes.
