This study aimed to compare academic passion for science pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) between pre-service and in-service elementary teachers. In addition, a comparison between passion for science subject matter knowledge and passion for science pedagogical knowledge was made for each group of teachers. Participants comprised 182 students from colleges of education and 161 in-service teachers. We analyzed between- and within-subject comparisons for each component of academic passion for science PCK. The results of this study are as follows: First, between-subject comparison demonstrated that, in academic passion for science subject matter knowledge, in-service teachers had a higher passion for "liking" and "importance" than pre-service teachers, whereas pre-service teachers had a higher passion for "time/energy investment" than in-service teachers. In academic passion for science pedagogical knowledge, pre-service teachers had a higher passion for "time/energy investment" than in-service teachers. Second, the within-subject comparison showed that only "harmonious passion" was higher for science pedagogical knowledge than science subject matter knowledge in pre-service teachers. However, "liking", "importance", "time/energy investment", and "obsessive passion" were higher for science subject matter knowledge than science pedagogical knowledge in in-service teachers. The educational implications are discussed.

The study aimed to investigate the impact of teacher's occupational stress on their sense of happiness and enthusiasm for teaching profession in early childhood institutions according to their occupational stress. For these purposes, data were collected from 321 early childhood teachers in Gyeonggi province. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a statistically significant difference in sense of happiness of early childhood teachers according to occupational stress level. Second, there was no statistically significant difference in overall enthusiasm for teaching profession according to occupational stress level, but significant differences among sub-factors. Third, as a result of examining the effects of occupational stress on sense of happiness and enthusiasm for teaching profession for early childhood teachers, all of them had a statistically significant effect, except overall enthusiasm. It is expected that this study will help to provide basic data for preparing a happy classroom environment.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among positive psychological capital, teacher professionalism, and passion for teaching of pre-service early childhood teachers. Specifically, this study investigated the mediating effect of passion for teaching on the relationship between positive psychological capital and teaching professionalism of pre-service early childhood teachers. The study participants were 198 pre-service early childhood teachers. Questionnaire were used to collect data. Data were analyzed using descriptive statics, Pearson correlation, multiple regression, and Sobel test for mediating effect. The results of the study were as follows: First, it was found that pre-service early childhood teachers had relatively high level of positive psychological capital, teacher professionalism, and passion for teaching. Second, there was a significant positive correlation between positive psychological capital, teacher professionalism, and passion for teaching of pre-service early childhood teachers. Third, the mediation effect of passion for teaching of per-service early childhood teachers between positive psychological capital and teacher professionalism was found to be partially significant. This result implies that positive psychological capitals and passion for teaching are to be effective to improve teaching professionalism of per-service early childhood teachers. The results of this study provides basic data on an early childhood teacher training program in improving teaching professionalism.

This study investigated the level of academic passion for elementary school teachers' science pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) and examined the factors that influence the passion. To this end, 161 elementary school teachers in Seoul were selected, and academic passion tests were then administered to evaluate their academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge. Individual in-depth interviews were also conducted with some of the participating teachers. The results revealed that 'importance' and 'harmonious passion' for learning science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were found at a high level. However, 'time/energy investment' and 'obsessive passion' for learning the knowledge were slightly higher or lower than normal. The 'like' for learning science subject matter knowledge was relatively high, but the 'like' for learning science pedagogical knowledge was slightly higher than normal. The differences in academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were greater according to advanced major at undergraduate than teaching career. The teachers evenly selected some factors that influenced their academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge. These identified characteristics included 'individual interest', 'high school track', 'experience in advanced major at undergraduate', 'experience in science-related graduate school', 'experience teaching science in elementary school', 'experience teaching science at the gifted education institute', 'experience in charge of science subject teacher', 'experience in science-related teacher training', 'experience in developing science-related teaching and learning materials', 'experience in charge of science or science-gifted related work', and 'experience in a science-related teacher community'. However, a slight difference was noted in the selection ratio depending on advanced major at undergraduate. Based on these results, the practical implications for improving their academic passion for science PCK are suggested.

The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between teacher enthusiasm, support for teacher autonomy, support for relationship with peers, and grit for preliminary high school students. This will be able to provide useful information for effective instruction and search for various teaching-learning methods in the physical education field. It was selected based on convenience sampling and judgmental sampling, focusing on those who participate in physical education classes for middle school students. Of the 200 respondents to the questionnaire, the study was conducted through 182 copies, excluding 18 questionnaires that were judged to be unreliable or responded collectively. When looking at the effects of physical education teachers' passion on autonomy support and relationship support, the hypothesis was adopted as it was found to have a statistically significant effect. Relationship support appeared to have a statistically significant effect on grit, so the hypothesis was adopted. However, support for autonomy was rejected as it did not appear to have a statistically significant effect on grit.

It was found that the factors such as "importance" and "harmonious passion" for learning science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were found at a high level. On the other hand, the factors such as "like" and "investment of time and energy" were slightly higher than normal, and the factor such as "obsessive passion" was slightly lower than normal. The differences in academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were greater according to the high school track than the grade. The pre-service elementary teachers selected more often the factors such as "individual interests", "high school track", "contents of science-related courses at the university of education", "characteristics of professor in charge of science-related courses at the university of education", and "experience in teaching practicum" as the factors that influenced their academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge. However, there was a slight difference in the selection ratio depending on the high school track.

본 고에서는 교육대학의 3학년에 재학 중인 예비 초등교사들이 학생으로, 교생으로의 자신들의 경험을 중심으로 기술한 내용을 토대로 그들의 관점에서 본 수학에 대한 생각과 유능한 수학교사의 특징에 대하여 조사하였다. 이들 예비교사의 관점에서 보면 유능한 수학교사는 수학교과에 대한 수학 지식은 물론이고 수학교수에 대한 열정과 함께 학생들에 대한 관심과 사랑을 가지고 있어야한다.

AI는 개인이나 조직이 가지고 있는 강점과 긍정적 경험을 토대로 변화를 이끌어내는 것으로 본 연구는 AI가 가진 이러한 특성을 기반으로 긍정교사 양성을 위한 프로그램을 개발하였다. 먼저 AI의 4D 단계를 진행하기 위한 긍정주제를 선정하였는데, 대주제는 "닮고싶은 선생님"이고, 하위 주제는 이해, 소통, 열정, 실력이다. 각 주제별로 교사들에게 제시할 긍정적 질문을 개발하였고, 질문을 토대로 교사양성 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램 실행 결과 교사들은 자신의 강점을 찾아 그것을 기반으로 자기 개발을 위해 무엇을 할 것인지 계획을 수립하였고 이러한 계획이 교사역량을 개발하는데 매우 유용하다고 평가하였다.
