A Study on the Relationship between Teachers' Information Need about Guidance and Perception regarding Educational Guidelines to Improve Teachers' Perception of Educational Instruction (교사들의 교육지침 인식 개선을 위한 생활지도 정보요구와 교육지침 변화에 대한 인식 간 관계 연구)

  • This study aims to present the relationship between the teachers' information needs regarding guidance and the perception of educational guidelines issued by the Office of Education. The research design was conducted based on the reviewing theoretical background studies, and questionnaires were found in in-depth semi-structured interviews in a pilot study. Gyeonggi Province is divided into four regions, which is the target of the survey. Teachers of three schools in each region were surveyed, and eventually 217 copies of the survey were used for the final analysis. The result shows that the role of school libraries in caring for teachers' information needs ultimately influences the improvement of teachers' guidance. Based on this result, the study suggests ways to improve information services provided by school libraries. In particular, the study is meaningful in that it has presented a potential service plan that can be performed by school libraries to help address teachers' information needs about guidance in schools.

  • 천문학회 교육홍보위원회 산하 해외교육지원단에서는 2016, 7년 1, 2기 원정대에 이어 3기 원정대 6명을 선발하여 2018년 9월 17-21일 5일 동안 캄보디아 시소폰의 Xavier Jesuit School에서 약 30명의 중등 과학 선생님들을 대상으로 천문연수를 진행하였다. 3기 원정대에서는 다양한 경험과 경력을 가진 대원들이 참여하게 되어 망원경을 활용한 실습 수업 뿐만 아니라 연수에 참여한 과학 선생님들이 직접 수업에 활용할 수 있는 기본 천문학 수업들을 포함하였다. 그리고 최신의 천문학 연구를 소개할 수 있는 현대 천문학 수업을 준비하여 참가자들에게 더 다채로운 천문학 세계를 소개할 수 있었다. 해외교육지원단에서는 캄보디아와 같이 천문학 교육에 소외된 나라의 천문교육지원 사업을 지속적으로 지원할 계획이며 특히, 각 지역의 과학 교사들에게 연수기회를 제공함으로써 교육자들을 통해 각 지역의 어린 학생들이 천문학을 접할 수 있는 기회가 많아지기를 희망한다. 또한 직접 연수를 받은 과학 교사들의 천문학에 대한 관심을 높이고 천문학 연구의 필요성을 인지할 수 있게 도울 예정이다.

  • The purpose of this research is the investigation of mathematics pre service teachers' disposition. Their disposition will be used for preposition of preservice Leacher program for making pre service teachers' participate any program willingly and extend their thinking. For this research, the researcher collected various data from investigation-presentation, report for practice and beauty of mathematics, micro teaching, and peer-evaluation. Preservice teachers had positive attitude for mathematics. They described their feeling, thinking and reflection about various methods of instruction and prefer to have micro teaching. They described that the investigation-presentation was needed to change some. From the results, the teacher preparation program is needed to integrate theory and practice to make preservice teachers gain profound knowledge on pedagogical content knowledge by making them high their interest and sensitivity on mathematics.

  • This study is to examine how media education is recognized and used in the field of early childhood education. For this, it analyzed awareness and problems of media education by kindergarten teachers and parents and set the following research questions to find out a new alternative of media education for children. First, what are differences in concerns and educational experiences on media education for children by teacher-parents? Second, what are differences in teaching-learning methods on media education for children recognized by teachers-parents? Third, the present study examined problems and effective improvement methods of media education for children with 250 teachers in the field of early childhood education and 250 parents and obtained the following conclusions. The teaching-learning method preferred most by teachers and parents was talking activity and as a result of asking the preferred type of group, it was found that teachers-parents answered small group activity was most ideal and what are to be improved in the media education for children included the extension of teachers' opportunities to have research training and non-establishment of the genral theory of media education in our whole society.

Analysis of Teacher-Students Interactions in the Image of Science Class by Elementary Preservice Teachers (초등학교 예비교사들의 과학 수업 이미지에 나타난 상호작용 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the teacher-students interactions shown in the images of elementary science class by preservice teachers. We applied nine analysis criteria in three domains such as emotional support (climate, regard for student perspectives, teacher sensitivity), classroom organization (instructional learning formats, behavior management, productivity), and instructional support (quality of feedback, language modeling, concept development) in the aspects of positive or negative interactions The results show that majority of student-teachers tended to prefer positive interactions especially regarding instructional learning formats or concept development. For the image of avoided class, they tended to show negative interactions related to instructional learning formats or regard for student perspectives. However, they showed extremely lower frequencies for some categories of negative interactions. Female preservice teachers tended to have slightly higher frequencies for some positive interactions than their counterpart. The findings indicate possible approaches to teachers' professional development and further research.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate perceptions of high school students and science teachers about high school fusing science. Science teachers and high school students perceived that high school fusing science was related to various areas and they preferred to be taught separately from each area. Science teachers perceived that high school fusing science improved the understanding in the area of scientific common knowledge, advanced technology, and the history of science, but neither scientific writing nor discussion were actively involved. It also didn't contribute to the enhancement of scientific thinking and communication skill. Especially, high school students believed that they were more interested in science through fusing science. On the other hand, teachers believed that this high school fusing science might not impact student's learning and generate negative perception. Science teachers and students perceived that they were more interested in fusing science because it was combination of many areas in science. They also perceived that contents in fusing science were more related to their daily life.

Pre-Service Secondary Music Teachers' Concerns About Music Teaching and Learning (중등예비음악교사의 교직에 대한 염려 조사)

  • Recently, there has been a growing focus on the concerns pre-service teachers have as they move through different stages of their teacher preparation programs. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to investigate pre-service secondary music teachers' concerns about music teaching and learning. The specific research questions were as follows: (a) What concerns are most common among participants? (b) What are differences in the concerns of pre-service secondary music teachers based on their stage of teacher preparation? (c) What are differences in the concerns of pre-service secondary music teachers based on their previous teaching experiences? A survey was distributed to pre-service secondary music teachers in a university in Seoul, and responses from a total of 93 participants were included in the final analysis. Data analysis indicated that pre-service music teachers experienced more concerns related to teaching tasks and student impact than themselves. Also, as participants progressed through their teacher preparation programs, self concerns decreased while task concerns and student impact concerns increased. Pre-service secondary music teachers who had previously taught in a school had fewer concerns than participants with no teaching experience. Suggestions for how teacher preparation programs can address the concerns of pre-service secondary music teachers are offered.

  • 학생들에게 흥미와 관심을 가지게 하면서 수학수업을 효과적으로 할 수 있는 방법론에 대한문제는 수학교육의 관심사중 하나이다. 그러나 실상 교사들이 현장에서 쉽게 이행할 수 있는 학습자료의 개발이나 그 활용은 미진한 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 아동들의 발달수준에 맞는 적절한 경험을 제공하여야 한다는 입장엣 수학적 힘을 기르기 위해 수준별, 개인별 수학학습에 바탕을 두고 학습자 중심의 학습능력을 키울 수 있는 웹 기반 게임형 초등 수학 학습 프로그램을 개발한다. 이 시스템은 학습자 진단평가로 학습자 수준을 판단한 다음 단계로 수준 결과에 따라 Story 학습을 통하여 단계별 학습내용의 기본원리를 설명한다. 그 다음에는 story학습에서 배운 기본원리를 응용하여 학습할 수 있도록 설계된 게임학습을 하게 함으로써 학습자는 능동적인 학습참여와 다양한 수학적 사고를 육성시킬 수 있고, 보다 쉽게 학습목표에 도달할 수 있다.

단양군 일대의 야외지질학습장 개발

  • 지구과학은 자연과학 중에서 야외 현장에서 자연 현상의 관찰과 조사를 기초로 하는 학문이다. 특히 지질학 분야는 야외 조사를 통해 학생 스스로 탐구하고 문제를 발견함으로써 자연에 대한 흥미와 관심을 갖게 하여 지질학적 현상을 이해하게 한다. 그러나, 충북 지역에서 개발된 야외지질학습장의 부재와 입시위주의 교육환경으로 인하여 교사들은 한정된 범위에서 야외 현장 학습을 계획 및 실시하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 교사들에게 실제 야외학습의 패러다임을 사용한 야외학습장을 개발하여 지구과학 교육과정 중 야외학습의 교육적 자료로 제공 될 수 있도록 하였으며, 이러한 학습장을 토대로 지구과학교육에 야외학습을 쉽게 응용 할 수 있도록 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 다양한 암석과 지질구조를 가지고 있고, 지리적으로 접근이 편리한 단양군 일대를 야외학습장으로 선정 하였다. 단양군 일대의 야외지질 학습코스에는 앨걸마운드, 어란석, 주상도 작성(석회암층군과 충식석회암), 두족류화석, 부정합관계에 놓인 역암층의 5개의 관찰지점이 있으며 실제 현장에서 각 관찰 지점별로 학생들이 활동할 수 있도록 야외지질 학습 자료를 제시하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of mathematics teachers' recognition and understanding of mathematics education curriculum at the college of education. The subject of this study is 30 secondary school mathematics teachers who graduated from the department of mathematics education at the college of education. To accomplish this study, loather's knowledge is divided into two groups such as 'subject matter knowledge' (ready-made mathematics) and 'pedagogical content knowledge' (school mathematics and its teaching planning and methods). As a result, this study examines which subjects are required to achieve the pedagogical content knowledge in order to be a professional mathematics teacher.
