Awareness of Teachers-Students for Education using 3D Contents (3D 콘텐츠 활용 교육을 위한 교사와 학생의 인식)

  • In this study, we examined the perceptions of teachers and students to utilize 3D educational content. We conducted a survey about the effect of utilizing 3D educational content, interest in the 3D content, the advantages and problems of utilizing 3D education in class by targeting at elementary school teachers and elementary school students, Surveyed are students and teachers who participated the contest for 3D content development. Research results, both teachers and students were very positive about the educational effects of 3D content and they take advantage of educational content, as well as higher interest in 3D making education. We also found that they require overall support including 3D education-relevant materials and teacher training school in the field.

The Analysis on interest of the physical education teachers about the revised physical education curriculum in 2015 (2015 개정 체육과 교육과정에 대한 체육교사의 관심도 분석)

  • In this research, based on the CBAM model, there is a research purpose to measure the degree of interest of the physical education teacher ahead of execution of the revised educational curriculum 2015 and to analyze the difference in degree of interest by teacher's background variation. For this reason, we conducted an an- nental survey of 200 physical education teachers in K-area middle school, high schools and analyzed the results. The conclusion of this research is as follows. Firstly, as a whole, the attention to the revised education curriculum has been very high in view, as a result, the physical education teacher at the middle / high school, 2015 about the influence and the result that the revised curriculum gives to the student in the physical education class Although the interest is very high, a systematic approach will be necessary for training and utilization schemes so that 2015 the revised educational curriculum can be executed appropriately. Secondly, since the interest in the revised educational curriculum by the whole number of classes 2015 is different, we need to develop and give a training program for revised curriculum 2015 customization by class number 2015. Training that departs from the one-way set form of transmission training and distribution method of materials depending on the class number may be different. Thirdly, in order to stabilize the revised educational curriculum 2015, it is necessary to develop a course example program corresponding to the level of interest of the physical education teacher.

An Analysis on Elementary School Teachers' Concern and Implementation of Differentiated Instruction of Mathematics (초등학교 수학과 수준별 수업에 대한 교사들의 관심도와 실행형태 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate elementary school teachers'concern and implementation of differentiated instruction of mathematics. To achieve the purpose, this study applied measurements of CBAM, including Stages of Concern Questionnaire and Innovation Configurations Checklist, to 133 elementary school teachers. The results indicated that most teachers were in awareness stage, which meant they had little concern on differentiated mathematics instruction. As well as, analysis on innovation configurations revealed that b and c variation, each referred to fidelity to and deviance from national curriculum standard relatively, were dominant in their instruction. Based on the results, the study suggested implications on future policies and teacher training for differentiated mathematics instruction.

  • 하드웨어와 정보통신기술의 급속한 발달에 힘입어 교수-학습환경은 점차로 멀티미디어화 되어가고 있으며, 시간과 공간을 초월하여 언제, 어디서나, 누구에게나 교수-학습 자료를 제공할 수 있는 방향으로 변화되어가고 있다. 교육용 소프트웨어는 이러한 변화 가운데 교육방법상의 획일성과 전근대성을 해결해 줄 대안으로 인식되면서 많은 관심 속에 개발되어왔다. 1997년 교육정보화계획 이후 정부에서는 정책적으로 소프트웨어 구입비를 학교에 지원하고, 매년 교육용 소프트웨어 개발을 확대하여 보급하고 있다. 하지만 개발되고 보급되는 교육용 소프트웨어의 양에 비해 활용되는 정도는 부족하다. 교육용 소프트웨어의 활용 실태 및 교사들이 수업에서 교육용 소프트웨어를 어떻게 활용하고 있는지 파악하여 많은 예산을 들여 보급한 교육용 소프트웨어가 사장되지 않고 교육 헌장에 올바르게 활용될 수 있게 하는 것이 중요하다. 이러한 측면에서 초등학교 교사들의 수업활동과 가장 밀접히 관련되어 있는 교육용 소프트웨어의 활용에 관련된 일반적인 실태와 수업에서 교육용 소프트웨어를 활용하는데 있어 교사들의 인식 및 그 문제점을 규명, 개선 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

Secondary Mathematics Teachers' Use of Mathematics Textbooks and Teachers' Guide (수학교사의 교과서 및 교사용 지도서 활용도 조사)

  • This study aims to investigate how secondary mathematics teachers use mathematics curriculum materials such as textbooks and teachers' guide in planning lessons and for their learning. 24 in-service mathematics teachers participated in surveys and two among them were interviewed. The findings from the data analysis suggest that: a) the teachers actively engaged in decision-making processes of the transition from written curriculum to intended curriculum; and b) the teachers showed a tendency of consulting to the ideas suggested in the curriculum materials for selecting objectives and contents for lessons and the what to assess, not ideas for selecting teaching methods and how to assess. Also, various factors such as students' achievement, participation, interest in mathematics, family environment, and college entrance were identified to influence the teachers' use of the curriculum materials.

한국 수학 교육이 당면한 문제점과 해결 방안에 관한 연구

  • 대부분의 수학 교사들은 국내외에서 개최되는 많은 학술 행사에 참여하기를 꺼려하고 있으며 수학 교육의 새로운 정보에 접촉하려는 의지가 부족한 실정이다. 이 때문에 세계의 수학 교육의 흐름이 어떤지, 우리 나라의 수학 교육과정이나 교수 ${\cdot}$ 학습법이 외국의 것과는 어떻게 다른지 또는 수준에 차이가 있다면 얼마나 차이가 있는지 별 관심을 갖지 않고 있으며 구태여 많은 노력을 들여 이러한 것을 알려고 하지도 않는다. 필자의 판단으로는 우리 나라의 수학 교육이 당면하고 있는 가장 큰 문제는 수학 교사들은 많으나 우수한 자질을 가진 수학 교사들이 많지 않기 때문에 창의성 교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않는 것과 학교 수학 교육에서 능력별 반 편성이 무엇보다도 필요한 줄 알면서도 수십년 동안 제대로 실행되지 않아 학생들의 수준에 맞도록 효율적으로 수학을 지도할 수 없는 것이라 생각한다. 이 두 문제는 모두 몇몇 수학 교사들의 의지와 노력만으로는 해결할 수 없는 문제들이다. 그러나 많은 교사들이 모여 이러한 문제점들을 공동으로 인식하고 함께 해결하기를 노력한다면 시일이 좀 걸리더라도 언젠가는 해결되리라고 믿는다. 장기적으로 수학 교사의 자질을 향상시키기 위해서는 교사 양성 기관(사범대학과 교육대학교)의 개선이 필요하며, 능력별 반 편성은 교육정책자들이나 교육행정가들이 마음만 먹으면 1${\sim}$2년내에 이룰 수 있다. 이제 전국수학교육연구대회와 같은 행사는 단순한 수학교육이론의 전달이나 현장연구에서 발견한 새로운 사실들만은 발표하는 곳이 아니라, 될 수 있는 데로 많은 수학 교육자들이 모여 수학 교육의 문제점을 찾고, 함께 풀어 나가기 위한 토론의 장(場)이 되어야한다. 또 필요에 따라서는 수학 교육에 관련한 어떤 결의도 하고 교육부 또는 각 교육청이나 교육연구기관에 보내는 건의문도 만들어야 할 것이다. 어떻든 이와 같이 전국 수학교육자들이 모일 때는 꼭 참여하여 우리의 문제를 적극적으로 해결하도록 힘을 합치는 것이 수학교육자의 올바른 태도라고 생각한다.

A case study on middle school classes utilizing the math learning application 'Sussam' (수학학습 애플리케이션 '수쌤'을 활용한 중학교 수업 사례 연구)

  • Recently, interest in Edu-Tech, which applies new technologies to the educational field, is growing. Edu-Tech is now being naturally used in schools, allowing both teachers and students to adapt to these changes. Particularly, there's significant attention on using Edu-Tech to bridge the educational gap through various teaching and learning strategies. This study focuses on the importance of self-directed task management by students for supplementary learning. It developed and utilized a math learning platform that enables teachers to easily provide and manage necessary tasks for students. Initially, the study developed "Sussam-MathTeacher" a problem-based learning application for middle school students, aimed at enhancing problem-solving abilities. This platform operates as a task management system, allowing teachers to assign or recommend problems to either the entire class or individual students. It aims to improve students' problem-solving abilities through a process that includes presenting necessary tasks, monitoring their own progress in solving problems, and self-assessing growth. Through this study, students demonstrated improved problem-solving skills by tackling tasks suited to their levels using "Sussam" highlighting the critical role of teachers in the digital educational environment.

  • Conventional paper-based assessment methods for Gifted students to be selected are changed into observed and recommended method, and this is focus on developing the potential of gifted students. Information is subject to the school curriculum does not address the important observation because of recommendations from teachers' attention away from ideas on how recommendations are being observed is very low. To solve this problem, existing information about gifted education gifted characteristics of the subjects studied by analyzing the proposal and recommended elements of a feasibility study is to describe. The results of this study recommended that teachers or teachers' information, observing the subjects in the field of gifted education is likely to take advantage of them when detail.

An Analysis of Korean Teachers' Educational Development Cooperation: A Systemic Review (한국 교사의 국제 교육개발협력에 대한 연구 동향 분석: 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends in international development and cooperation on education and to suggest directions for the Korean teachers and teacher education to achieve 'Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).' The examination of 8 databases resulted in the identification of 2,945 studies, and 6 of these references met the inclusion criteria for systemic review. Major findings revealed that pre- and in-service teachers recognized the necessity of international development education but had a low degree of teacher efficacy. The teachers who participated in ODA education programs have experienced difficulties due to insufficient understanding of local sites and role performance. Then, a couple of studies of mathematics and early childhood education compared the Korean national curriculum and education system with developing countries'. Lastly, it is important to have a sustainable system which promotes all teachers, including retired ones, in global development and cooperation on education. For the successful achievement of SDGs, Korean teachers should develop their expertise, a deep understanding of partner countries, and stable quality education for the underprivileged.

Action Research on the Effect of Information Literacy Education on the Library Use of Elementary School Children (정보활용교육을 통한 교과연계 도서관활용수업 실행연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the information literacy of elementary school students. For the study, three 4th grade classes of an elementary school in Daegu were provided a two-hour instruction about basic training on how to utilize information and school library, after which one of the three classes received 2 hours long weekly information literacy instructions associated with social studies and science curriculum for 20 weeks. The study, implemented in two phases with mid-term assessment, involved three interview sessions with students, two interview sessions with homeroom teachers, a general descriptive survey, a performance assessment and a follow-up survey.
