An Approach to Implementation of Creative Design-Oriented Curriculum and Engineering Design Complex (창의설계교육을 위한 교과과정 및 종합설계실 구축 방안 (전자공학전공을 중심으로))

  • Recently a demand for student-centered creative design education is rapidly growing, but well organized design curriculum and design practice complex are not established properly in most universities. In this paper, we present a scheme for design-centered engineering curriculum and a method to build a design practice complex for creative design education which it is currently attracting a lot of interest in engineering education. Based on the analysis of the conventional curriculum of electronic engineering, a new curriculum and a design practice complex that is suitable for enhancement of professional practice capability and by which an effective engineering education through introductory design, element design and advanced design steps can be performed is described.

  • 본 가고문은 2008년 개편한 포항공과대학교 컴퓨터공학과 학부 교과과정을 소개한다. 교과과정 개편의 배경과 방향을 설명하고 구체적인 교과과정 내용을 살펴봄으로써 교과과정 설계의 철학음 전달하고자 한다. 그리고 개편한 교과과정의 주요 과목을 소개하고 교과과정 개편의 의의를 정리한다.

  • Currently, basic simple search techniques for curriculum are being implemented. But curriculum information retrieval applying ontology technologies is still weak level. In this paper, the curriculum of university was divided into the liberal arts and majors, and we proposed frame model by these methodes and designed management system to construct ontology. This management system was composed of ontology input system and ontology web service system. Ontology input system constructed curriculum of department into ontology by administrator and we designed web service system to retrieve curriculum by students. We validated ontology designed for curriculum using ontology tool.

  • In this research, an improved learning system in engineering design and HRD curriculums, and an operation of experiment and practice are proposed. That is, we propose improvements for creativity, for filed orientation and for experimental and practice operation. Specifically, we suggest the possibility of common operation between engineering design and HRD curriculums based on learning experience.

  • IT education in the colleges or universities and IT industry in producing IT manpower are urgently called for to balance its supply and demand. To correct this problem, Ministry of Information and Communication launched a program where demand-oriented curriculums are developed and applied to colleges. This paper proposes a design technique based on meta-model and software development process in developing curriculums and courses. This meta-modeling technique is proven to result in the extendibility, flexibility and quality improvement in software design. Therefore, we expect that proposed technique makes it possible to be improved in quality.

  • This paper proposes a Database Curriculum for Korean college students in the IT section. Most Korean college students in IT area should undertake Database subjects. However they are supposed to encounter identical troubles when studying the subjects. This may come from Korean culture. Therefore we analyzed out key issues that students must beware, and designed a curriculum accommodating the Korean culture.

  • In this paper, to invigorate elderly-friendly industry, a case study on curriculum for re-educational work of the field engineers is introduced. The curriculum has been developed to retrain technicians and engineers in IT-based elderly-friendly business industry, to help them develop elderly-friendly products, and it have been evolved by operating it and analyzing outcome and satisfaction levels since August in 2009. The re-education work of the field engineers are designed for invigorating the IT-based elderly-friendly business industry, based on the instruction system design(ISD) model. To develop IT-based elderly-friendly products, the elderly-friendly accessible design and the elderly-friendly living and health care equipment design are required. For the elderly-friendly accessible design, it consists of "Elderly-Friendly Engineering Based on Human Characteristics", "Color Sensibility and Universal Design for The Elderly", and "Design Understanding and Process". For the elderly-friendly living and health care equipment design, it consists of "Embedded System Design and Debugging Experiments for Elderly-Friendly IT Equipment", "Elderly-Friendly Android Implementation Design", and "Design and Experiments of Silver-care Android-based Smart Equipment".

  • Recently, developments of engineering technology are too fast change to educate the students in the college of engineering. The lag between the innovation of the technology and the education of the college of engineering becomes larger and larger. In this situation, the appropriate education update system is needed to change the curricula for the updated engineering education. In this paper, the job analysis method which is used in the technical service area is transformed to design the curriculum of the general higher education area. The job analysis method which is used in the technical service area derives the competence too detail and complex to used in the higher education area. for the higher education area, the social activity analysis of the alumni is needed to extract the representative jobs of the area. Also using this representative jobs, the job analysis and competence derivation is conducted. If needed, the regular expert meeting is held to converge the job-site opinions of the graduate and industry people. This curriculum changing process is provided as a part of the circular self-improve education system of the Electrical Engineering of the MyongJi University.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 창업교육을 하나의 사회 시스템으로 인식하고 고등학교 창업교육부터 대학 및 대학원의 창업교육, 예비 창업자들에 대한 일반 창업교육까지를 연계한 체계적인 창업교육의 설계방향을 제시하는 것이다. 특히도 창업의 저변확대를 위해 가장 핵심적 영역인 대학 학부의 창업교과과정의 바람직한 설계방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 창업교육에 대한 학자들의 관점, 국내대학 창업교육의 현황, 국내외 대학원의 창업교육 현황 등의 검토내용을 기반으로 대학 학부의 창업교과과정을 공통기초과정과 전공선택과정으로 나누어 설계하는 방안을 제시했다. 아울러 전공선택과정은 전공영역(major area)과 집중영역(concentration area)으로 나누어 설계할 것을 제언한다.

  • The study's purpose is to present model for constructing of media education's curriculum. The concept and goal of media education have changed by various media education's paradigm historically. Also this changed the content and the goal of the media education. Curriculum model of media education is various by the nation. AS so the study analyzed the media education's curriculum model to be applying in USA, United British, German, Australia, Canada. Through this, the model for constructing of media education' curriculum is presented. The curriculum model helps to be executed systematically media education in Korea. According to the result, The model is composed of the goal and content. The goal of media education is composed of media knowledge, media appreciation, media analyze, media production. The content of media education is composed of Media, Text, User.
