In this study, we suggest structural plans for constructing local network economically and optimal broad local network coincided with regional characteristics in building broad local network - the most important factor in constructing broadband superspeed service digital network giving the consideration to broadband multimedia service unfolded in the future. For the purpose of constructing optimal superspeed local network, we made comparative study of the topology types of star and ring in various conditions from a economical point of view per node and with the transmission distance.

광대역 통합망(BcN: Broadband convergence Networks)이란 통신$.$방송$.$인터넷이 융합된 품질 보장형 광대역 멀티미디어 서비스를 언제 어디서나 끊임없이 안전하게 이용할 수 있는 차세대 통합네트워크를 말한다. 이를 위하여 BcN 전달망은 서비스 품질(QoS: Quality of Service) 보장, 고도의 통신망 관리 기능과 보안(Security) 기능, IPv6 주소체계의 수용을 통하여 다양한 서비스를 쉽게 창출할 수 있는 개방형 망구조(Open API)를 도입한 통신망으로 유선ㆍ무선ㆍ방송 등의 다양한 가입자망의 특성을 통합하여 수용해야 하며, 표준 인터페이스를 통해 다양한 응용서비스의 개발 및 이용 환경을 제공할 수 있어야 한다.(중략)

본 논문에서는 가입자망의 광대역화 및 고속화를 실현하는 방안으로 개발되고 있는 광대역 무선접속망의 기지국 MAC 프로토콜 소프트웨어를 설계하였다. MAC 프로토콜은 제한된 우선자원을 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 프로토플로서, 무선매체를 이용하여 통신 서비스를 제공하는 시스템에 필수적이다. 본 논문에서 설계한 기지국 MAC 프로토롤은 상/하향링크상의 대역폭 스케줄링, MAC 제어메시지의 생성 및 해석. 상하향 MAC 프레임의 전송제어 및 송신제어, 그리고 상위계층 인터페이스를 위한 망접속 인터페이스를 포함한다. 본 논문에서 설계된 기지국 MAC 프로토콜 S/W 는 향후, 광대역 무선접속망 테스트베드에 이식하여 시스템의 전체적인 성능을 검증할 수 있다.

영국의 통신 규제기관인 Oftel은 이용자들의 광대역서비스에 대한 요구가 증대되고, 온라인 서비스가 속속 등장함에 따라 광대역서비스를 제공할 수 있는 방안을 강구하였다. 케이블 모뎀, 위성통신 등의 다양한 방법이 존재하지만 이용자와의 액세스가 손쉽고 단기간 내에 실현할 수 있는 방법은 기존의 PSTN을 이용한 방법이 가장 효율적이라는 결론을 지었다. 이에 본 고에서는 영국의 가입자망 세분화 제도를 고찰하고 시행과정에서 표출된 다양한 이슈들을 살펴보았다.

In this paper, we propose new hardware architecture of a fast searcher for an initial code acquisition in wideband CDMA wireless local loop systems. The proposed searcher uses double-dwell serial search algorithm and has N active correlators for the high performance code acquisition. Since the N active correlators are designed with pipelined architecture, it is possible to reduce the hardware complexity with only one energy calculation. Our architecture is designed using VHDL to meet wideband CDMA wireless local loop standard and verified under JTC wideband channels. Average code acquisition time of the proposed fast searcher which has 16 correlators is about 40 seconds in case of initial installation and 0.16 seconds when a base station is known. The verified fast searcher is synthesized with in $0.6\mu\textrm{m}$ LG library. The synthesized searcher has 15.8K rates when the number of 4he correlators is 16.

본 고는 광대역 ISDN에서 제공될 서비스의 종류 및 서비스 속성을 통신망에 끼치는 사항을 중심으로 제시하고 있으며, 광대역 ISDN의 교환기술 종류 및 특성, 가입자를 위한 광대역 액세스 네트워크 및 이의 인터페이스 특성을 살펴보았다. 그리고 이와 같은 특성 및 구조를 지닌 광대역 ISDN이 협대역 ISDN으로부터 어떻게, 어떤 망구조로 진화하는 것이 바람직한 것인가를 또한 살펴 보았다.
