In order to investigate information seeking behavior of web search users, this study analyzes transaction logs posed by users of NAVER, a major Korean Internet search service. We present a session definition method for Web transaction log analysis, a way of cleaning original logs and a query classification method. We also propose a query term definition method that is necessary for Korean Web transaction log analysis. It is expected that this study could contribute to the development and implementation of more effective Web search systems and services.

본 연구에서는 질문지법을 이용하여 과학기술분야 연구자들의 정보요구를 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 정보요구별 탐색행태를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 특정 정보요구에 대해 비공식 커뮤니케이션 채널이 정보탐색에 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 탐색과정에서 이용자가 느끼는 정보부족의 원인에 대해서는 정보요구별로 어느 정도 차이가 있는 것이 확인되었다. 반면, 정보탐색환경에서 연구자들이 중요하게 생각하는 요소는 정보요구별로 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 정보요구를 바탕으로 과학기술분야 연구자의 탐색행태 분석결과를 적용함으로써 이용자 특성에 따라 개별화된 과학기술 정보 서비스를 기대할 수 있다.

지금까지 전자저널 서비스를 대상으로 한 연구는 정보원으로써의 전자저널에 대한 접근성의 문제나 비용문제에 중점을 두고 이루어져왔으며, 전자저널 서비스에 대한 이용자집단의 정보이용행태에 관한 연구는 대학교수를 대상으로 수행된 것 외에는 거의 찾아볼 수가 없었다. 본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관의 주요 이용자집단 중의 하나인 대학원생, 특히 인문계열과 공학계열 대학원생들의 전자저널에 대한 정보 요구 및 이용행태에 관해 과학적${\cdot}$체계적인 분석을 통하여 대학도서관이 효율적인 전자저널 서비스를 수행하는데 있어서의 기초 자료를 제공하는데 있다.

본 연구는 지리산국립공원의 동부지역을 찾은 이용객의 이용 행태의 분석 및 중요도-성취도 분석방법을 통해 관리와 이용관련 속성들에 대한 중요 정도와 실제만족도 분석을 목적으로 수행되었다 이를 위해 이용객 직접기입 방식의 설문조사가 현지에서 실시되었다 총 254명이 본 설문조사에 참여하였으며 응답자들의 사회경제적 특성 및 방문특성은 다른 국립공원 이용객조사에 나타난 결과와 유사한 경향을 보였다 대부분의 응답자들은 최근 대두되고 있는 환경문제에 대해 높은 관심을 보였으며 이와 더불어 이용보다는 보전이 우선하는 국립공원 관리정책에 더 큰 관심을 나타냈다 각 관리 및 이용관련 속성에 대한 중요 정도와 만족도 결과는 수질의 상태 자연식생의 보존상태 공원 내 쓰레기 문제, 야생동물의 보호상태에 특히 높은 중요도를 나타냈으며 휴양.관광 프로그램의 다양성 여부와 야생동물의 보호상태에 대하여 상대적으로 낮은 만족도를 나타낸 것으로 조사되었다.

This study explored the police organizational health diagnosis index development. and the ultimate purpose of this study is to suggest the ways for the police to develop the police organizational health diagnosis index and then to raise the organizational effectiveness. A police organizational health diagnosis index comprises three categories; Organizational Behavior, Group Behavior, and Individual Behavior. A Organizational Behavior questionnaire comprises five categories; Organizational Structure, Organizational atmosphere, Environmental Compliance, Transformational Leadership, and Communication & decision-making. Secondly, A Group Behavior questionnaire comprises five categories; How to manage the personnel, Conflict management style, Group cohesion, Vision and Strategy, and Community-oriented & shared responsibility. Thirdly, An Individual Behavior questionnaire comprises five categories; Job Motivation, work-related factors, Trust, Vitality, and Organizational Cynicism. This author expects this study to contribute to the development of an adequate measuring instrument of the police organizational health diagnosis index.

This study aims to analyze students' information needs and information-seeking behavior at science schools for gifted through in-depth interviews. The research design was conducted based on previous studies. Through in-depth interviews, this study examined ten students from six out of eight science schools for the gifted in Korea for information needs and overall information-seeking behavior. The results showed the information needs of students at science schools for gifted in the areas of curricular and extracurricular activities as well as the information-seeking behavior in teaching, learning, and research activities, which were the main topics of interest to students based on the ISP model. Based on these results, we identified the preferred information sources in the information-seeking process and discussed the peculiarities and implications of students' information-seeking behavior. The research is meaningful as it can be used as a basis for further research on the science school for gifted library and as a resource for providing services for students with deep interests and talents in science subject areas.

본고에서는 한국의 증권시장과 일본의 증권시장이 같은 공매시장(Auction markets)의 형태라도 거래되는 시점에 따라 다른 거래제도에 따라 가격이 결정되는 점도 있어 각 시점별로 양 시장의 주가행태를 가격조정모형을 통하여 비교 분석하였다. 일반적으로 한국과 일본 모두 오전 시가 수익률의 분산이 종가 수익률에서의 분산보다 크고 또한 오전 시가 수익률의 분산이 다른 시점의 수익률의 분산 보다 켰다. 한국 및 일본 양 시장에서 시가수익률의 분산과 음의 시계열상관계수에서 공히 거래정지기간에 따른 노이즈 항목과 거래오류영향을 발견하였다. 그러나 한국시장에서 거래오류나 노이즈가 일본시장보다 큼을 알 수 있었다. 두 시장에서 모두 오전개장과 오후개장을 다른 시점과 비교하면 주가의 과다반응을 추정 할 수 있으나 일본시 장의 경우는 한국시장에서 보다 미미하였다. 한국시장의 경우 오후종가가 영과 통계학적으로 크게 다르게 양의 수를 가지고 있음은 시장의 효율성에서 한국시장이 일본시장에 비해 떨어지고 시장 정보에 대하여 주가의 가격조정속도가 늦다고 추정할 수 있었고 이는 한국시장이 아직은 일본에 비해 가격제한폭이나 그밖에 거래제한 요소가 일본보다 크기 때문으로 추정된다. 한국시장에서는 주식수익률의 변동성은 노이즈거래가설(Noise trading hypothesis)이 더 설명력이 있다고 추정되고 일본의 경우 사적정보가설(Private information hypothesis)과 노이즈거래가설(Noise trading hypothesis) 둘 다 설명력이 있지만 전자가 더 우위일 가능성이 있었다. 결론적으로 위의 결과를 종합하면 거래메커니즘 차이가 주가의 행태에 크게 다르게 미친다고는 할 수 없고 단지 주가의 정보전달 속도 및 노이즈 그리고 시장의 효율성에 따라 주가행태에 어느 정도 차이를 일으킨다고 할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to enhance the efficiency of library space usage through analyzing users' behavior in an academic library. Diary methodology was applied for collecting users' activities in the library. 108 students participated in this study, but 84 students submitted their diaries. Among them, 14 participants were interviewed to identify barriers and their needs in using the library. The findings suggest rearranging IT devices to increase use rate of those devices, making plans for reusing the space where it is rarely used, and improving the accessibility of information through browsing in the bookstack area. Additionally, time analysis of users' activities was used to analyze students' behavior in the library.

The primary questions addressed by this research are the followings: Has the interface of a Web-based OPAC been improved more user-friendly; How about its searching abilities; What difficulties have Web-based OPAC searchers experienced in using a Web OPAC; How do they perceive the system after use of it. Finding the answers of those questions the problems of a Web OPAC as a searching tool have been grasped and recommendations have been suggested in order to improve the system. An experiment was conducted and 30 university students performed 8 searching tasks. The searching behavior of Web OPAC searchers has been analyzed thoroughly. The data of their perceptions about the system was collected through a questionnaire after completing the tasks.

The amount of online scholarly information rapidly expands in numerous resources, while user behavior demands single search box interface like Google Scholar. Despite scholarly values of e-resources libraries provide, users consider Google Scholar as the most efficient research tool attracted by its speed, simplicity, ease of use, and convenience. Characteristics of Metasearch System compared with Google Scholar are analyzed from perspectives of the interface and e-resource. Based on usage statistics of Metasearch System along with a link resolver in one academic library, e-resource accessibility patterns and information seeking behaviors of subject-specific areas are investigated for electronic information services.
