Software Architecture of IEEE1394 Based Home Network for Guaranteeing Real-Time Characteristics of Isochronous Service and Event (IEEE1394 기반의 홈 네트웍에서 이벤트와 등시성 서비스의 실시간성 보장을 위한 소프트웨어 구조)

  • IEEE1394 is a de facto standard for the home network interfaces of digital multimedia home devices including digital A/V systems, digital camcorders, and PCs. Recently, it has been used in applications to guarantee the real-time characteristics such as home automation system and IICP (Instrument and Industrial Control Protocol). In order to guarantee real-time requirements in these IEEE1394-based real-time applications, this thesis proposes the software architecture of an IEEE1394 based home network that supports the guarantee for service's react-time characteristics. The proposed architecture has a real-time IEEE1394 device driver and event service architecture for guarantee real-time characteristics. The real-time device driver supports priority-based queueing of packets and mechanism to reduce the interrupt latency time in ISR. The event service architecture supports a real-time events delivery based on home network service using real-time event channel. This architecture can accommodate the real-time requirements of various applications and services such as digital multimedia services with QoS guarantees. home automation system required real-tine characteristics.

A Study on Technology Priorities for Green Highway (녹색도로 구현을 위한 기술 우선순위 결정에 관한 연구)

  • It is not surprising to hear news about irresistible natural disasters all over the world due to climate change. Korean Government has focused on developing a variety of green technologies to reduce green house gasses, in particular, carbon dioxide. This study suggested 18 technology divisions for achieving green highway technology development in six different sub-sectors considering life-cycle of roadway and surveyed 29 highway and/or transportation professionals of three institutes using AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) analysis to construct "Green Highway"and realize carbon emission reductions and energy use efficiency in a road sector in Korea. Expert Choice Software was used to rank 18 technology divisions weighted by two-level choices. Transport Operating Infrastructure Improvement, Roadway Policy Implementation, Green Transportation(such as Pedestrian and Bicycle) were highly ranked by respondents according to results of the AHP modeling. Among the 18 divisions, technology policy for supporting R&D investments from development to commercialization was ranked as the most significant one to be focused. Green Transportation Facility Design/Construction/Operation and Eco-Friendly Roadway Plan were followed as expected since professionals have thought that the planning/design step of the life-cycle is a starting point to reduce carbon dioxide from roads more and more. Additionally, comparing the results with the Government investment trend 2006-2011 for the roads, it can be interpreted that the Government should invest to the R&D area more widely than before to promote element and core technology development for Green Highway Construction. Above all, small and mid-sized businesses have to be invested as well as encouraged to undertake green highwayrelated objects to accomplish the divisions which ranked high.

  • Nowadays, NGN(Next Generation Network) is evolving into network with packet based QoS.\ulcorner This paper presents the recovery method as a selecting way of more efficient path in MPLS network that reduces the service interruption time. In order to increase the efficiency of usage of recovering resource which is one of major functions of disorder recovering, it opens the state information of each Node both to fault detector and bandwidth broker so that it reduces message transmission time for recovery when functional disorder occurs. in addition, by effective management and adjustment of required bandwidth of entire network depending on the changes of traffic load, it improves the efficiency of bandwidth usage. and in MPLS network supporting priority selection function, it allocates domains depending on the traffic relating to priority order to the entire network so that\ulcorner it efficiently allocates proper resources to the restoring process between the entry and the end for the traffic of high priority and for low priority traffic, it restores path oかy inside disordered domain. by doing this, it reduces resetting time and unnecessary massage transmission.

A Multi-stage Markov Process Model to Evaluate the Performance of Priority Queues in Discrete-Event Simulation: A Case Study with a War Game Model (이산사건 시뮬레이션에서의 우선순위 큐 성능분석을 위한 다단계 마코브 프로세스 모델: 창조 모델에 대한 사례연구)

  • In order to evaluate the performance of priority queues for future event list in discrete-event simulations, models representing patterns of enqueue and dequeue processes are required. The time complexities of diverse priority queue implementations can be compared using the performance models. This study aims at developing such performance models especially under the environment that a developed simulation model is used repeatedly for a long period. The developed performance model is based on multi-stage Markov process models; probabilistic patterns of enqueue and dequeue are considered by incorporating non-homogeneous transition probability. All necessary parameters in this performance model would be estimated by analyzing a results obtained by executing the simulation model. A case study with a war game simulation model shows how the parameters defined in muti-stage Markov process models are estimated.

Hybrid Priority Medium Access Control Scheme for Wireless Body Area Networks (무선 인체통신 네트워크를 위한 복합 우선순위 MAC 기법)

  • Last few years, wireless personal area network (WPAN) has been widely researched for various healthcare applications. Due to restriction of device hardware (e.g., energy and memory), we need to design a highly-versatile MAC layer protocol for WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network). In addition, when an emergency occurs to a patient, a priority mechanism is necessitated for a urgent message to get through to the final destination. This paper presents a priority mechanism referred to as hybrid priority MAC for WBAN. Through extensive simulation, we show the proposed MAC protocol can minimize the average packet latency for urgent data. Thus, when patients have an emergency situation, our MAC allows adequate assistance time and medical treatment for patients. The simulation based on NS-2 shows that our Hybrid Priority MAC has the good performance and usability.

  • In spite of the proven effectiveness of ramp metering system, it has not been successfully implemented in Korean setting. The purpose of this paper is to select target locations to introduce ramp metering into the Korean expressway system. For this, domestic standards to introduce ramp metering have been presented after reviewing those of the US. The major criteria are level of service (LOS), the existence of detour route, space for queue build-up and opened ramp. 15 different locations were selected and AHP has been used to make priority among them. Intuitively, the result of priority was in accordance with the congestion and traffic volume. The core results identified in this paper is expected to be used in different cities and expressway networks elsewhere.

Priority Analysis for Applying Digital Technology to Improve the Efficiency of Building Supervision Work (건축감리 업무의 효율성 제고를 위한 디지털 기술 적용 우선순위 분석)

  • Building supervision can be defined as a major task that involves managing and supervising the construction process to support the creation of high-quality results. To successfully perform supervision work, it is necessary to collect various information generated in uncertain field conditions, but today, supervision is performed based on documents such as reports, so there are limitations in collecting information. In fact, it has also been reported that the recent collapse of an apartment building in Korea was caused by limitations of information communication in th supervision work. Accordingly, this study analyzed the types of digital technologies that can be used to improve the efficiency of building supervision work, and presented the prioritized application of them. Priority application was quantitatively evaluated using analytic hierarchy process on data through a survey. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as basic data to set the roadmap of digital technology for building supervision in the future.

A Study How to Decide the Priority on Selecting Business Process for BPM to Attain Strategic Goal of Construction Company (건설기업의 전략지원을 위한 BPM 우선적용 프로세스 선정에 관한 연구)

  • Construction companies are fulfilled in according to project, and it is difficult to execute the standardized process in various construction projects. Thus many construction companies is adopting BPM(Business Process Management) that meet business process change and business improvement. However, it is difficult to apply BPM in a lump because of difference of BPM characteristics and company's strategies. For this reason, it is desirable to select business process based on company's priority. This study indicated need of method for selecting business process through studying current researches, and made BPA for construction company by analyzing business process in construction company. Moreover, this study indicated core business process from a point of profitability and growth view through grasping strategic goal priority. And also, it proposed criteria for process evaluation for BPM adoption, evaluated core business process, and indicated prior business process for BPM adoption.

Analysis of Non-point Pollution Loads variety depending on application of NPS Reduction Facility scenarios (비점저감시설 시나리오 적용에 따른 비점오염부하량 변화 분석)

  • 최근 급격한 기후변화 및 도시화로 인해 강우시 첨두유량이 증가하고, 도심 및 농촌지역에 비점오염원과 관련된 문제가 빈번하게 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 비점오염원에 대한 관리는 발생원 및 특성 파악이 어려운 특성으로 인해 관리가 미흡하며, 이에 따라 비점오염원 관리의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 각 토지이용별로 발생하는 비점오염원을 적절하게 관리하기 위해서는 유역별 비점오염원 발생특성에 대한 파악이 우선적으로 이루어져야 하며 다양한 관리기법에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 SWAT모형을 이용하여 비점저감시설을 적용하였을 때의 비점오염부하량의 변화에 대한 분석을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 도시유역, 농업유역, 복합유역을 대상으로 비점저감시설을 적용하였을 때 비점오염부하량의 변화를 분석하였다. 우선 유역별 유출량 및 비점오염부하량을 모의하기 위하여 SWAT모델을 사용하였다. 모의된 유출량 및 비점오염부하량은 수질 측정 성과를 이용하여 보정을 수행하였다. 이후 비점오염 취약 소유역 선정을 위해 수질항목별 연간 비점오염부하량 크기에 따라 순위를 산정하고, 순위를 산술 평균하여 소유역별 전체 오염원에 대한 비점오염부하량 순위를 산정하였다. 비점오염 취약 소유역에 BMPs 및 LID를 적용한 결과, 도촌천의 비점오염 취약 소유역에서 SS, $NO_3-N$, TP의 평균 저감효율은 각각 11.17%, 3.47%, 18.85%로 나타났다. 공지천 도시지역에 LID 적용시 비점오염 취약 소유역에서 SS, $NO_3-N$, TP의 평균 저감효율은 각각 0.67%, 5.77%, 1.86%로 나타났다. 또한 공지천 농촌지역에 BMPs 적용시 SS, TN, TP의 평균 저감효율은 각각 14.22%, 1.67%, 4.43%로 나타났다. 또한 설성천의 비점오염 취약 소유역에서의 SS, TN, TP의 평균 저감효율은 각각 57.29%, 7.48%, 14.84%로 나타났다.

  • 최근 지역의 발전으로 인한 도시화로 인해 수문순환에 많은 변화가 생기고 있다. 이와 더불어 기후변화로 인해 강우의 패턴이 변화하면서 연간 강우량은 증가하고 있는 추세로 나타나고 있다. 또한 무강우일수가 증가하여 강우가 특정기간에 집중되어 내려 도심지에서는 유출량과 첨두유량이 급격하게 증가하고 도달시간이 짧아졌으며, 지하로 함양되는 수자원이 줄어들고 있다. 이와 같이 변화하는 수문순환으로 인해 수자원 확보에 대한 문제가 발생하고, 2차적으로 지하수위의 저하 등으로 지반침하, 싱크홀 등의 피해가 발생하고 있다. 이와같은 피해를 방지하기 위해 최근 LID(Low Impact Development, 저영향개발) 등의 기법을 이용하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 도시화가 진행 중인 평택지역을 대상으로 지하수자원 관리를 위해 LID 기법 중 투수성 포장재를 적용하고 이에 대한 효과 분석을 Visual MODFLOW를 통해 진행한다. 각 지역의 효과 분석 결과로 TOPSIS를 이용하여 투수성 포장재 우선 적용 지역을 선정한다. 이를 통해 한정된 자원 내에서 우선지역을 선정하여 최선의 효과를 나타내도록 한다.
