Longitudinal Relationship between Addictive Use of Mobile Phones and Learning Activities for Elementary School Students : Multiple and Complex Group Analysis across Gender (초등학생의 휴대전화 중독적 사용과 학습활동의 종단적 관계 검증 : 성별 간 다집단 복합 분석)

  • The study aimed to examine the longitudinal relationship between addictive use of mobile phones and learning activities for elementary school students and to analyze (1)temporal changes of the addictive use of mobile phones and learning activities, (2)temporal relationship between them, and (3)multiple and complex group analysis across gender on the relationship. For the study, 3-year longitudinal data(2010-2012) of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey and autoregressive cross-lagged modeling were used. The findings showed that the addictive use of mobile phones and learning activities had a significant positive effect on the future selves of children over time. The addictive use of mobile phones influenced positively subsequent learning activities, but, the learning activities did not affect the addictive use of mobile phones. Further, there were no significant gender differences in the longitudinal relationship. The study provided the useful data to make guidelines on how to protect mobile phone addiction for elementary school students.

The Structural Relationship among Learning Goal Orientation, Creativity, Working Smart, Working Hard, and Work Performance of Salespersons (영업사원의 학습목표지향성, 창의성, 업무방법, 업무강도, 업무성과의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to specify a structural relationship among learning goal orientation(LGO), creativity, working smart, working hard, and work performance of salespersons, verify the direct and indirect effect of variables, and examine impacts of the five factors at the same time. Also, this carried out the study to understand the relationship between the salesperson's creativity and work performance. This study targeted for salespersons who were working in various industries and total 588 were participated via on-line. According to the study, the result is as follows. First of all, There are direct effects among LGO, creativity, working smart, and work performance. However, working hard didn't have any direct effect with any other variables. Creativity and working smart have indirect effects on the relationship between LGO and job performance. In addition, the mediating effect of the model with creativity was higher than that of the model without creativity. Therefore, creativity is an individual competency that should be continuously developed to improve the work performance of a salesperson.

Analysis of Correlation between Satisfaction and Academic Achievement of Software Education Based on Problem-solving Learning (문제해결학습 기반의 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 만족도와 학업 성적의 상관관계 분석)

  • University education emphasizes the development of convergent as well as computational thinking, many universities provide software education to improve their problem-solving ability. In this study, we use Python programming based on problem-solving learning, and analyze the correlation between problem-solving learning satisfaction and academic achievement. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 143 students, we tried to analyze the relationship of problem-solving learning with actual academic performance using correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate a relationship between satisfaction and academic achievement, and that it affects students' academic achievement. The ability to identify various problem situations and solve problems using computational thinking will become increasingly important, it is desirable that the universities provide software education based on problem-solving learning.

A Study on the Mediating Effect of Parenting Stresses in the Relationship between the Self-Differentiation and Learned Helplessness of mothers in Multicultural Family (다문화 가정 어머니의 자아분화와 학습된 무기력의 관계에서 양육 스트레스에 대한 매개효과 연구)

  • This study examined the mediating effect of parenting stress on the influence of self-differentiation of mothers in multicultural families on their learned helplessness. The study determined the correlation between the following variables: self-differentiation, learned helplessness, and the parenting stress of mothers in multicultural families. The study was conducted on mothers who are raising children in multicultural families and 193 cases of supplementary data were finally analyzed. The data derived from the survey was analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 programs. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the self-differentiation of mothers in multicultural families showed a negative effect on parenting stress and the mothers' learned helplessness, while parenting stress had a positive effect on the mothers' learned helplessness. Parenting stress was found to have a mediating effect on the relationship between the self-differentiation and the learned helplessness of mothers in multicultural families. This study suggests that the mothers of multicultural families may decrease parenting stresses and learned helplessness by increasing the level of self-differentiation in the context of cultural differences and adapting to new societies.

Effects of Learner Motivation and Teacher-student Interaction on Learner Satisfaction in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 학습동기와 교수학생 상호작용이 학습만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to exam nursing students to verify the effects of self-directed learning readiness, teacher-student interaction, educational performance, stress and learner motivation on learner satisfaction. The study population consisted of second and third year nursing students at E university located in S city. Data were collected between June 15, 2016 to June 24, 2016, and questionnaire comprised items to measure general characteristics, learner motivation, teacher-student interaction, self-directed learning readiness, educational performance, and learner satisfaction. A total of 132 students were included for the final analysis. Learner satisfaction was positively correlated with self-directed learning readiness (r= .21, p= .018), teacher-student interaction (r= .39, p<.001), educational performance (r= .21, p= .014), and learner motivation (r= .75, p<.001). In addition, learner motivation was positively correlated with self-directed learning readiness (r= .24, p= .005), teacher-student interaction (r= .38, p <.001), and educational performance (r= .21, p= .018). Finally, learner motivation and teacher-student interaction were found to explain 59.7% of the variance of learner satisfaction. Our findings suggest strategies and interventions that boost learner motivation and teacher-student interaction which are required to improve learner satisfaction in nursing education.

Relationship among the Learning Instrument, Learning Achievement, and Learning Satisfaction in Online Class (온라인수업에서 학습도구와 학습성취, 학습만족간의 관계연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to increase the level of learning achievement and satisfaction by developing of on-line learning instruments. This study was to investigate the relationship among learning instrumments(lecture, homeworks, on-line interaction and off-line interaction), learning achievement and learning satisfaction. This survey was conducted 226 responses of e-learning social welfare education learners. Research method used Amos 18. Result indicated that homeworks and off-line interactive instruments had a positive effect on learning achievement and satisfaction. And lecture had a positive effect on learning satisfaction, but on-line mode interaction instruments had no effect. In order to improve the effectiveness of learning, structural development of activity learning instrument is necessary. And to foster learning satisfaction, it will be necessary to increase the learning achievement.

Modern Interpretation of the Method of Learning Reflected in the Teacher-Student Relationship in On Haeng Lok by Toe-gye (퇴계 『언행록』의 사제관계에서 탐색한 학습법과 그 현대적 이해)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze characteristics of the method of education or learning reflected in the teacher-student relationship in On Haeng Lok By Toe-gye and explore their relevance to modern education. By writing various works and conversing with his students, Toe-gye devoted himself in the education of the traditional Confucian principles. Specially, he taught his students based on two Confucian educative principles, namely Shim Deuk(心得) and Goong Haeng(躬行). Judging from this, Toe-gye can be seen as someone who tries to fulfill the role of teacher as dictated in the educative principles of the Confucianism. In Confucianism, teacher is responsible for forming a well-rounded view on life in student, rather than simply transmitting knowledge. As such, the teacher was supposed to find a harmonious way to create something new based on what was inherited from the past generation and try to do his best in learning new things himself and teaching his students. These Toe-gye managed to do successfully, earning his students' trust and respect. Being moved and inspired by their teacher, the students continued their intellectual pursuit. This relationship between Toe-gye and his students can be analyzed from the perspective of education method and discussed in terms of cognitive learning and adult learning. In terms of cognitive learning, the education method reflected in the relationship is similar to potential learning, insight learning, and imitation learning. In terms of adult learning, it is similar to self-directed learning and communicative learning.!

Predicting Co-Authorship based on Link analytics and learning (링크 분석 및 학습을 통한 공동연구성과 기반 공저자 관계 예측)

  • This study proposes a methodology for predicting co-authorship of contributors to a highly anticipated paper through link analysis and learning, taking into account the result of collaborative research. Previous studies predict the co-authorship with high accuracy, but this shows limitations in that the quality of the predicted relationship is not considered. Therefore, to solve the above problem, we propose three steps to predict the co-authorship that will help with the expected performance: (1) Construct a heterogeneous graph to measure results of collaborative research. (2) Analyze and learn links based on results of collaborative research. (3) Predict links that are anticipated to have high expectation. It is expected to be useful for increasing confidence in the predicted co-authorship.

  • 기계적 학습을 위해서는 일반적으로 많은 양의 수동 주석데이터(Manually Labeled Data)가 요구된다. 원격지도(Distant Supervision)는 현실적으로 부족한 주석데이터(Labeled Data)를 대신해 자동적으로 주석데이터를 수집하여 학습하는 접근 방식으로 관계 추출(Relation Extracion) 문제에 널리 활용되고 있다. 이때 필연적으로 많은 노이즈(Noise)가 발생되는데, 적합성 검증(Relevance Verification)을 통해 수집된 학습데이터를 정제함으로써 노이즈로 인한 변동성을 줄이고 결과적으로 향상된 성능을 보여주는 관계 추출 방법을 제시한다.

  • 현재 인공지능은 공학적 문제 해결 외에도 다양한 분야에 적용되어 매우 친숙하게 활용되고 있다. 특히 하천 분야에서는 시설물 주위 국부세굴 또는 어류 서식처 분석과 같이 관련 변수들의 복잡성으로 적절한 결과를 쉽게 얻어내기 어려운 것들에 적용되고 있다. 그 외에도 인공지능 기법을 적용할 수 있는 분야로 하천에서의 수위를 이용하여 유량을 예측하는 것이 있다. 기존에는 수위-유량 관계 곡선을 만들어 수위를 이용하여 유량을 예측하였으나, 관계곡선 제작에 활용된 수위와 유량 범위에서 벗어나는 경우 과다한 유량으로 계산되는 경우가 있다. 본 연구에서는 인공지능 기법 중 하나인 인공신경망 기법을 사용하여 하천의 유량 예측을 수행하였다. 기존 국가수자원관리종합정보시스템에 기록된 자료를 활용하여 수위와 유량 자료를ANN에 학습시키고 학습에 활용하지 않은 시기의 자료를 이용하여 전반적인 유량 예측 성능과 루프형 수위-유량 관계 곡선을 생성할 수 있는지를 검토하였다. 또한 학습 범위를 벗어난 홍수량에 대한 측정 결과를 검토하고, 기존 수위-유량 관계곡선과 비교하여 그 성능을 검토하였다.
