  • 본 논문에서는 영재와 정보과학영재에 대하여 여러 학자들의 의견을 바탕으로 그 개념을 정의하고, 초등 정보과학영재를 교육하고 있는 대학부설 영재교육원의 선발 실태 분석을 통하여 정보과학영채 선발방법의 문제점을 알아보고, 선발방법에 대한 개선점과 선발절차를 제시하였다.

  • 정보과학영재의 선발에서 가장 중시되어야 할 문제는 교육에 의한 가능성을 측정하는 것이다. 그러므로 정보과학영재의 선발에서는 정보과학영재의 정의와 특성에 따라 그들이 가지고 있는 정보과학분야에 대한 창의적 사고력과 이해력이 바탕이 되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 영재와 정보과학영재에 대한 여러 학자들의 정의와 특성을 바탕으로 초등정보과학영재 선발평가에 필요한 필수요소를 추출하여 선발평가 문항을 개발하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to propose for efficient selection with observation and nomination system and efficient operation of Convergence Science class in a Science Institute for Gifted Youth attached in university. For this purpose, we analyzed the result of entrance exam with observation and nomination system, and the correlation between enterance exam score and achievement to perform at the Convergence Science class. As a result, despite observation and nomination system is highly dependent on observers and recommenders, they have very different perspectives each other. In addition it was founded that selection and education process after admission is inconsistent.

  • 본 논문에서는 영재와 정보과학영재에 대한 여러 학자들의 정의와 특성 및 관련문헌의 분석을 통하여 정보과학영재의 특성과 정의를 재정립하여 초등정보과학영재 선발평가문항을 개발하였고, 개발된 문항의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하기 위해 1, 2차 예비검사를 통해 문항의 난이도와 변별도를 조정하였으며, 최종 검사를 통해 선발된 영재아와 일반 우수아의 검사 결과를 분석하고 정리하였다.

Comparative Analysis on Selecting Process of Gifted students in Science Education Institute for the Gifted (우리나라 대학부설 과학영재교육원의 영재학생 선발과정에 대한 비교 분석)

  • In this study, selecting process for scientifically gifted students was investigated and analyzed to science education institute for the gifted in university and was compared with foreign education institute for the gifted. The number of science education institute for the gifted was unequality located to the regions, comparing with the ratio of students. Therefore it is necessary for balancing location of science education institute for the gifted according to the ratio of students to let various students have the gifted education. Comparing with the ratio of gifted students between elementary school students and middle school students, the shape of ratios seems to be a inversed-pyramid. It is necessary to select students with the shape of the pyramid, supporting them to be educated, systematically and officially. The gifted students were selected through the procedures of creative test, intelligent test and individual interview in science education institute

  • In order to cultivate the human resources needed in the 4th industrial revolution era, it is necessary to select the gifted students and educate them systematically. Although excellent gifted students are important in a specific field, more convergent talents in the fields of mathematics, science, and information are required. The purpose of this study is to investigate how evaluation factors reflecting the characteristics of information gifted students affect the selection of science gifted students of a university gifted education center. In the characteristics of information gifted students, the cognitive factors such as Rule creation ability, Reasoning ability, Efficiency ability, Generalization ability, Structuring ability and Abstraction ability were highly correlated in selecting the science gifted students. Correlations in the applicants group of students for science gifted education center are higher than those in the first passers group and higher than those in the final successful candidates group. This means that the factors that shows the characteristics of the information gifted have a great influence on the selection of the science gifted.

A Study on the Characteristics of Creativity Factors Found in Elementary and Middle School Creative Gifted Student Selection Test (초.중학생 창의성 영재 선발 검사에 나타난 창의성 요인별 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the validity of a creativity measurement tool and to discover the creativity characteristics of creative gifted students by assessing the difference in the creativity characteristics of creative gifted students, who were selected from gifted students in elementary and middle schools through the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(TTCT), according to school level and the type of the students (gifted student in mathematics, gifted student in science). To this research purpose, creative gifted students were selected by the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(TTCT) on 594 students, who had applied for super gifted education, from 17 gifted students institutes under the jurisdiction of Jeollabukdo office of education, Then, t-tests and multiple regression analysis were performed to analyze the creativity factors between elementary students and middle school students and between mathematics-gifted students and science-gifted students. From the research, the following results were obtained. Although TTCT is effective in distinguishing gifted students with and without creativity, correlation coefficient values between creativity factors(the correlation coefficients between 'fluency' and 'originality' and between 'fluency' and 'elaboration' were .78 and .50 respectively) suggested the possibility of low uniqueness of creativity factors. In addition, compared with elementary students, middle school students showed significantly lower fluency (circles), elaboration(picture construction, picture completion), and the abstractness of titles(picture structure). In the meantime, science-gifted students displayed significantly higher originality(picture construction), and elaboration(picture construction, picture completion, circles) than mathematics-gifted students. Therefore, continuous study is required to enhance the validity of the test for the selection of creativity gifted students. Besides, efforts should be made to find ways to enhance the creativity of gifted students and to resolve the problem of decreasing creativity with student academic level increasing.

수학 영재선발 문항분석 및 문항개발의 개선 방안

  • 본 연구에서는 수학영재교육의 정상화라는 측면에서 서울교육대학교 과학영재교육원의 사례를 중심으로 수학과 영재선발 과정 중에서도 수학분야 문항의 분석을 통하여 지원한 학생들의 수학 개념에 대한 반응을 알아보고 영재교육원에 지원하는 학생들의 수학 학습의 문제점을 진단하고, 수학 영재학습 대상자 선발을 위하여 보다 바람직한 수학 문항 개발 위한 개선점에 대하여 알아보았다. 지원자들의 수학 개념, 원리, 법칙에 대한 이해도는 예상보다 매우 낮게 나왔으며 향후 수학영재 선발 문항의 개발에서는 문항의 개발자들이 수학영재 판별을 위한 진지한 고민과 함께 수학영재들의 능력을 적절히 측정할 수 있는 문항을 개발할 필요성을 제기하였다.

영재교육원 수료 학생에 대한 과학고등학교 정원 외 선발의 타당성 분석

  • We analyzed the validity of Science Highschool's selection process for the students from Science Gifted Education Center in order to suggest the direction of improvement. First of all, we invested the students' achievement in Mathematics and Science. As a result, we found that the students are not so good at mathematics and science through the selection process for the students from Science Gifted Education Center. However the difference is not statistically meaningful. On the contrary, The achievement of the students from Science Gifted Education Center is above average who were selected through the other course, e. g. the students who acquired the recommendation of principal, winner of prize in Olympiad of Mathematics or Science. We didn't find any meaningful result in the investigation of Affective Domain in Science. And then we found that the students prefer the generous environment through the selection process for the students from Science Gifted Education Center. As a whole, the selection process for the students from Science Gifted Education Center was not so satisfying. It should be reformed; we should examine the students' portfolio on the activities in the Science Gifted Education Center, and the entrance examination should include both divergent and convergent problems to find out the students' creativity. And the 3 dimensional process is also essential through the multiple steps.

  • 본 논문에서는 영재와 정보과학영재에 대해서 여러 학자들의 의견을 바탕으로 그 개념을 정의하고 수학, 과학 영재아의 특징, 판별사례 및 판별절차를 살펴보고 이것을 일반화하여 초등 정보과학영재의 영재판별 원칙, 판별요소, 판별절차를 제안하였다. 제안한 판별절차에 따라 초등학생을 대상으로 직접 적용했으며, 적용에 의해 선발된 영재집단과 수학 과학성적이 우수한 일반집단과의 비교를 통한 검증도 해 보았다.
