The Effect of Mental Practice with Task Activities on Upper Limbs Movement Speed and Accuracy of Ideomotor Apraxia Patients : Single Subject Experimental Research (상상연습과 과제활동 병행 치료가 관념운동 실행증 환자의 상지 움직임 속도와 정확성에 미치는 효과: 단일사례 실험연구)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of mental practice with task activities through upper limbs movement speed and accuracy in ideomotor apraxia patient. Methods : As a single subject research design with multiple baseline across individuals, the patients were two ideomotor apraxia patients, employed in this study. The employed program included receiving mental practice and task activities, measuring change of the total performance times, time to put down the last cups and amount of water in cups for 4 weeks, including baseline and intervention periods. The subject were measured by Ideomotor apraxia test and MFT were analyzed. The analyses were performed using visually and two-standard deviation band method. Results : All subjects were a reduction in symptoms of apraxia, but noticeable change in upper limbs function was not there. Total time of performance from 376.67 to 355.24 seconds, 391.33 seconds to 434.60 seconds, reduced. Put down the cup of performance time from 15.67 to 13.30 seconds, 20.80 seconds to 10.73 seconds, reduced. The amount of water transferred from 52.38ml to 49.70ml, 50.89ml to 50.09ml, all results were closer to 50ml. Conclusion : As a result of this study, mental practice with task activities can be an effective method to ideomotor apraxia patients. This study would serve a fundamental data on ideomotor apraxia patients to the further studies.

Control System of Simulation-based Government Level Exercise for Emergency Preparedness (시뮬레이션 기반 비상대비 정부연습의 통제체제에 관한 연구)

  • This study is on the control system of simulation-based emergency preparedness 'government level exercise'(GOV-Ex), which provides main control elements required for each stage of planning, preparation, implementation, and follow-up measures and its operation concept. For this purpose, the control requirements of 'simulation-based government level exercise'(GOVSIM-Ex) was derived through the preceding studies on GOV-Ex and simulation exercise control in military exercise and disaster exercises and then the concept of operation was presented. The main contents are exercise planning and key event scenario, the linkage between simulation model and other models, the composition of the simulation control center and the organization's workstation(WS), DB, control and evaluation team etc. The study limited to the main control elements, not all the control elements required for the GOVSIM-Ex, and it has limitations that the specific implementation plan of some control elements proposed has not been presented. These are presented as a future research subject. The study will promote the development of the GOVSIM-Ex Control System and early settlement of GOSIMV-Ex in the future.

  • Introduction : The purpose of scholarly paper is to review of motor learning concepts and to examine in integration of motor learning research finding in occupational therapy services for adults with hemiplegia. Body : The principles of motor learning is stage of learning, type of task, practice and feedback. Depending on stage of learning, therapist need to apply of the principles. In early stage of learning, therapists should be promote patient's awareness about therapeutic goals, task performance environment and how to perform. Whole practice, blocked practice and constant practice improve performance skill. In the latter stage of learning, therapists have to design a intervention protocol for patient to use the implicit feedback. Random practice and open task facilitates performance skills. Conclusion : When establishing the a intervention plan for adults with hemiplegia, therapists should systematically developed the principles of motor learning. Intervention program must be established by applying the principles of motor learning in accordance with the learner's level of task performance, and modified depending on the therapeutic progress.

  • 웹을 기반으로 한 프로그래밍 교육 시스템에 관하여 많은 연구가 이루어져 왔으나 대부분의 연구는 강의 노트의 제공 방법, 또는 하이퍼링크 상에서의 효과적인 네비게이션 방법과 같은 원격 교육 시스템에 국한된 내용이었다. 그러나 프로그래밍 교육은 그 특성상 강의노트의 제공 방법이나 하이퍼링크 상에서의 효과적인 네비게이션 방법보다도 많은 양의 과제를 통한 연습 기회의 제공과 각 과제에서의 교수자와 학습자간의 친밀하고 개인적인 상호작용이 학습자의 학업성취도에 더욱 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 원격 교육 시스템의 관점에서 더 나아가 교수자가 학습자에게 많은 양의 과제를 통한 연습의 기회를 부여 할 수 있고 각 과제당 교수자와 학습자간의 상호작용을 극대화할 수 있는 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육 시스템을 구현하였다. 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육 시스템은 학습자에게 시간과 장소에 구애됨이 없이 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 프로그램을 코딩하거나 컴파일할 수 있고 SPLINT를 통한 분석결과를 통해 즉시 피드백을 받을 수 있는 환경을 제공한다. 또한 교수자에게 많은 수의 학생들의 과제를 관리하고 교수자의 평가 기준에 의해 한꺼번에 자동으로 평가할 수 있는 환경을 제공하여 준다. 이러한 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육 시스템은 웹을 이용한 프로그래밍 교육을 면대면 학습에 더욱 가깝게 만들어준다. 현재 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육시스템은 K대학교 컴퓨터교육과 1학년 재학생들을 대상으로 한 C 프로그래밍 강좌에 사용되고 있다.

A Study of Simulation Method for Administrative Functionality on Civil-Military Operations (안정화작전시 행정기능 모의방안 연구)

  • ROK armed forces conducted exercise for something limited "Civil Factor" of Civil-Military Operations at the Liberalized Area in North Korea by using ROK battle simulation model and a linked US simulation model such as JNEM during ROK-US combined exercise period. However, they conducted exercise by exchanging with messages only during each exercise, because of hard coding for "Civil-Factor" and various situations applied onto battle simulation model and JNEM. Fortunately, ROK armed forces arranged the 5 functionalities of Civil-Military Operations which is adopted with military situation in Korean Peninsular. Even more "Civil-Military Operations Simulation Model System" is developing since 2014 by ROK MND. Among the 5 functionalities of Civil-Military Operations, the administration is fundamental. Its detailed operational plan is hard to be quantitative subjects because it is too qualitative to be simulated. But we found a way to quantify, and described simulation flow charts for the 5 main subjects (including 13 tasks) of administration to verify relevance between its simulation results and other functionalities. So we suggested a simulation method which gets an objective suitability, also hope this will be helpful to the Civil-Military Operations exercise.

Improvement in University Freshmen's Questioning by Explicit Practice of Experts' Physics Problem Solving Strategies (전문가의 물리 문제 풀이 방략 가시화 연습에 의한 대학생의 질문 향상)

  • It was proposed that proper problem solving practice should improve students' questioning in physics. In the previous researches, improvement in students' questioning was observed after practice of making questions given the examples of desirable questions. In this study, the problem solving strategies used by experts were introduced to students in the form of step-by-step guide to follow in problem solving practice. The directions in the guide were concrete and operational for students to understand the expected behaviors explicitly. It was assumed that students could pinpoint the difficulty specifically through this guide, which would result in positive effects on students' recognition and expression of their own questions. The subjects in this study were college freshmen enrolled in the introductory physics for science or engineering major. The physics problems from the textbook were solved and practiced in the traditional way for controlled group. Worksheets designed to follow experts' problem solving strategies were used for the experimental group. Two groups were taught in the same way during lecture part of the class. Students were asked to describe the difficulties they had during homeworks or tests. Questions in this study means these descriptions written by students although they were not necessarily in the form of interrogative sentences. The questions were analyzed both in quantity and quality. Quantitatively, more students spontaneously turned in their questions in the experimental group than in the controlled group. Regarding the quality, there were more students in the experimental group than in the controlled group who described their difficulties in detail or recognized the need for the procedural knowledge.

A research on attentive gaze by physiological signal (생리신호에 의한 시선 집중도 추출에 대한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 생리신호에 의한 집중된 시선과 집중하지 않는 시선을 분류하고자 한다. 이를 검증하기 위해 시각적으로 높은 집중과 낮은 집중을 요구하는 두가지 과제를 피실험자에게 제시하고 PPG(Photoplethysmogram), GSR(Galvanic Skin Response) 그리고 SKT(Skin Temperature)센서를 사용한 자율신경계 반응과 시선 움직임을 측정하였다. 과제는 $3{\times}3$으로 화면 구역을 나누고 각 구역에 문자를 제시하고 역방향 문자를 찾도록 하였다. 실험에는 20 명의 대학생이 참여하였으며, 1 번의 실험에 12 종류의 다른 문자배열을 제시 받았으며 1 번의 연습을 포함하여 총 5 회 실시후 데이터를 분석하였다. 높은 집중일 경우와 낮은 집중일 경우를 T-test 분석 결과, 자율신경계에서는 높은 집중일 경우 PPG 주파수가 증가하고 GSR과 SKT는 감소한 결과를 보였다. 따라서 시선의 집중도에 따라 다른 자율신경계 반응과 시선반응을 보이는 것을 확인하였다.

A Survey for the Development of Machinery Space Simulator (기관구역 시뮬레이터 개발을 위한 기초연구)

  • This paper describes the development of a pc-based machinery space simulator for training and research, relevant to STCW-95. The detailed mathematical modelling process for the actual machinery is discussed and a method to perform effective education and training for the simulator is suggested. The method includes scenario, procedure, exercise and evaluation. The procedure guides the trainee through a sequence of steps designed to meet a specific goal, showing the trainee what must be done and explaining why The exercise enhances understanding for efficient engine management and enable user to perform research for the machinery. The evaluation shows exercise results and feeds back to instructor how to guide the under-performed trainee.

Identification of Critical Factors Affecting on the Text Messaging Performance of Mobile Devices (문자입력 작업의 수행도에 영향을 미치는 모바일 기기의 핵심 설계요인 분석)

  • 문자메시지를 작성하는 작업 특성과 사용자의 특성간의 상호작용의 결과로, 휴대전화 사용자 집단간 통화량과 문자메시지 사용량은 다르게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 문장 입력시간을 기준으로 청년층과 중장년층 집단 간의 운지 속도를 비교하여 노화로 인한 운지 속도의 차이를 고려한 지적활동의 시간 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 그리고 한글 문자 입력 과제의 수행을 반복하여 청년층과 중장년층의 입력 속도 변화를 비교하였다. 즉, 사용자가 충분한 연습을 거치면 연령층에 관계없이 문장 입력 시간이 비슷해질 수 있는지를 실험을 통해 확인하였다. 휴대전화의 문자 입력 시스템에 익숙하지 않은 청년층과 중장년층 각각 8명을 선발하였으며, 50ms단위로 입력시간을 측정하였다. 실험결과, 두 집단의 연습 이후의 성취한 문장입력 수행도는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다 (P=0.039). 이러한 결과는 노화로 인한 인지적 기능의 저하가 문자 입력의 속도를 저해하는 주요 요인임을 보여준다.

  • One of important factors for improving the learning achievement of students in computer programming education is to provide plenty of opportunities of problem-solving experiences through variety forms of assignments, However, for the most cases, evaluation of programming assignments is performed manually by instructors and automated tools for the accurate evaluation are not equipped at the present time. Under this restricted environment instructors need much work and time to grade assignments so that instructors could not deliver sufficient programming assignments to students, In order to overcome this problem. au automated programming assignment evaluation system is needed that would enable instructors to evaluate assignments easily in an effective and consistent way and also to detect any plagiarism activities among students in program source codes readily, Accordingly, in this paper we design and implement a Web-based programming assignment grading system that allows instructors to evaluate program performance automatically as well as to evaluate program styles and piagiarism easily with appropriate feedback.
