An analysis of task-based materials in first-grade high school English textbooks (고등학교 1학년 영어교과서의 과업활동 자료 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the aspects of task-based materials in high school English textbooks for first year students in Korea. Based on the theoretical backgrounds for designing communicative tasks and the basic contents of the 7th national curriculum for English, a total of six different qualitative evaluation categories of task-based materials are constructed. The six categories include input data, settings, activity types, language skills, activity themes, and communicative functions. The results of the data analysis showed that the regulations of the 7th national English curriculum, which were aimed at improving the students' communicative abilities, were properly reflected in the materials of task-based activities of all textbooks. On the other hand, a few problems were found in some textbooks: too many individual tasks; being out of proportion in presenting task types and themes; non-systematic introduction of language skills, etc. To conclude, a few suggestions are made to provide some meaningful considerations for the text material developers in order to produce better textbooks in the future: task goals and rationale that encourage the learner's positive motivation; authenticity of input data based on the real-world context; a collaborative learning environment that enhances communicative interaction; a proportional representation of the various activity types including creative problem-solving procedures; systematic introduction of integrated language skills, etc.

Development of a Task Model of e-Learning Quality Managers Based on the DACUM Method (DACUM 직무 분석 기법을 통한 이러닝 품질 관리사의 직무 모형 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze job of e-learning quality managers based on the DACUM(Developing A Curriculum) method and to construct a task model of e-learning quality managers. A DACUM committee was composed to analyze job of e-learning quality managers and the committee members were total 12, those are one facilitator, 9 panel members, one recorder and one coordinator. The major findings of this study were as the followings; first, the number of job duty of e-learning quality managers were total 7, which were service planing, infrastructure building, of content developing, service evaluating, administration for quality managing, self-improvement. And total tasks of job of e-learning quality managers were 61. Second, 14 knowledge, 21 skill, 19 attitudes for e-learning quality managers were analyzed. Third, a task model of e-learning quality managers was constructed based on the results of DACUM job analysis.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study of improve the organizational performance and survival with the changes of the circumstances or in pursuit of improving the organizational effectiveness through the learning organization, the organizational culture was inspected with the condition precedent of the learning organization. The result of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, the learning organization has a positive effect on the organizational effectiveness. The knowledge and experience accumulated by the learning organization improve the official satisfaction. Second, in the organizational culture of the learning organization, developmental and rational culture has positive effect on the learning organization, but hierarchical and group culture has no effect. on the learning organization. Therefore, to establish the learning organization through the organizational learning, all managers realize the importance of developmental and rational culture because the organizational effectiveness is significant when the organization change is new.

  • Muan Enterprise City is a mega-project that has an investment worth up to $3 billion only in the construction of infrastructure. The project's success will largely depend on the success of its construction management. This study sets out to establish a construction management plan for Muan Enterprise City by defining the core objectives and organizational structure and its supporting system. Project outline and core objectives were analyzed, and necessity of construction management and processes evaluated. Based on this analysis, implementation strategy for the achievement of project goals was defined and developed, and organizational structure and its support system to execute established. This study strives to support the project's construction management being carried out under proper planning and possibly set an example for construct ion management of mega-structures in the future. Performance Analysis of Various Activation Functions in Super Resolution Model (초해상화 모델의 활성함수 변경에 따른 성능 분석)

  • ReLU(Rectified Linear Unit) 함수는 제안된 이후로 대부분의 깊은 인공신경망 모델들에서 표준 활성함수로써 지배적으로 사용되었다. 이후에 ReLU 를 대체하기 위해 Leaky ReLU, Swish, Mish 활성함수가 제시되었는데, 이들은 영상 분류 과업에서 기존 ReLU 함수 보다 향상된 성능을 보였다. 따라서 초해상화(Super Resolution) 과업에서도 ReLU 를 다른 활성함수들로 대체하여 성능 향상을 얻을 수 있는지 실험해볼 필요성을 느꼈다. 본 연구에서는 초해상화 과업에서 안정적인 성능을 보이는 EDSR(Enhanced Deep Super-Resolution Network) 모델의 활성함수들을 변경하면서 성능을 비교하였다. 결과적으로 EDSR 의 활성함수를 변경하면서 진행한 실험에서 해상도를 2 배로 변환하는 경우, 기존 활성함수인 ReLU 가 실험에 사용된 다른 활성함수들 보다 비슷하거나 높은 성능을 보였다. 하지만 해상도를 4 배로 변환하는 경우에서는 Leaky ReLU 와 Swish 함수가 기존 ReLU 함수대비 다소 향상된 성능을 보임을 확인하였다. 구체적으로 Leaky ReLU 를 사용했을 때 기존 ReLU 보다 영상의 품질을 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 PSNR 과 SSIM 평가지표가 평균 0.06%, 0.05%, Swish 를 사용했을 때는 평균 0.06%, 0.03%의 성능 향상을 확인할 수 있었다. 4 배의 해상도를 높이는 초해상화의 경우, Leaky ReLU 와 Swish 가 ReLU 대비 향상된 성능을 보였기 때문에 향후 연구에서는 다른 초해상화 모델에서도 성능 향상을 위해 활성함수를 Leaky ReLU 나 Swish 로 대체하는 비교실험을 수행하는 것도 필요하다고 판단된다.

Job/Occupational Analysis of Secondary Mechanical and Metallurgical Education Teachers Using the DACUM Methodology (데이컴(DACUM) 기법을 활용한 기계·금속 교사의 직무 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the mechanical and metallurgical education (MME) teachers' job using the Developing a Curriculum (DACUM) methodology. To accomplish the purpose of this study, an MME teachers' job/occupational analysis was conducted in the following steps: "Planning the DACUM workshop," "Recruiting/Constructing the DACUM committee members," "Providing the DACUM orientation," "Holding the DACUM workshop," "Verifying the DACUM result," and "Refining the DACUM chart based on verification data." The DACUM job/occupational analysis was conducted by fifteen DACUM committee members in the DACUM workshop in January, 2015; moreover, the DACUM chart of the MME teachers was verified by the group of subject matter experts. The major findings of the study were as follows. First, this study defined the MME teachers who taught mechanical and metallurgical-related subjects to students with the secondary education teacher certification and performed work related to character education, career guidance, life guidance, and others in a specialized high school, the Meister high school. Second, this study determined 16 duties and 199 tasks for fulfilling the MME teachers' job; moreover, the study extracted the importance, difficulty, and frequency of each task and demand for the entry-level workforce. Third, this study provides the DACUM research chart based on the job/occupational analysis results of the MME teachers.

A Qualitative Study on the Process of Group Mentoring -With a Focus on the Types of Relationships among Participants- (집단멘토링의 참여과정에 관한 연구 -멘티의 관계 유형을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of relationships among participants in a group mentoring program. Sixteen youths who participated as mentees in a group mentoring program were theoretically sampled and participated in in-depth interviews. The analysis was based on Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory approach(1990). The result shows that the qualitative text data were classified into 14 categories and 31 sub-categories. Four different types of mentees' experiences were identified: 'expanded mentoring relationship', 'peer-oriented relationship', 'task-oriented relationship' and 'avoidant relationship'. Through a process analysis, four stages including 'stage of exploring', 'stage of establishing relations', 'stage of conflict' and 'stage of expanding relations' were discovered. Implications for social work intervention and policy development were discussed based on these findings.

Difference in Happiness Level of Workers Depending on the Leadership Type (상사의 리더십 유형에 따른 근로자의 행복 수준 차이)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the difference in happiness of workers depending on the perceived leadership types in a big company in Korea. The research objectives were 1) to identify the managers' leadership types which their workers perceive in a big corporate organization, and 2) to analyze the difference in a degree of workers' happiness according to the types of manager's leadership. To this end, a latent profile analysis was conducted. The research results are as follows. There were four types of leadership: 1) the Elite type which shows perfect ability in each area of self-management, task management, people management, and organization management, 2) the Competent type which has excellent self-management skills, good levels of task management and organizational management skills, but relatively poor people management skills, 3) the Self-centered type with the average levels of self-management, task management and organization management but with the poor level of people management skills, and lastly 4) the Passive type with the average level of self-management, somewhat low levels of task management and organization management skills and the poor level of people management skills. In addition, there was a statistically significant difference in the degree of happiness of workers according to the manager's leadership type. This study is meaningful in that it presented the leadership types of managers in a big company through the latent profile analysis and provided its implications on the workers' happiness.

Exploratory Approach of Social Gameplay Behavior Pattern : Case Study of World of Warcrafts (소셜 게임플레이 행동패턴의 탐색적 접근 : World of Warcrafts를 중심으로)

  • The objective of this research is to discover the rule of gameplay related to the task interdependence to analyse the behavior pattern of social gameplay. Previous literatures related to the gameplay were reviewed and game which was suitable for the gameplay of the task interdependence was selected. A party-play includes a team of five people in the experiment during the gameplay with think-aloud method and video/audio data about action protocol and verbal report were collected. The video observation and protocol analysis were conducted to analyse data. The objective coding scheme were developed from consolidated sequence model task analysis. The player's behavior was analysed. The result was revealed that four rules and four modified rules were included into the total eight behavior pattern. A behavior graph integrated with five gameplay was written. The excellent cooperative spot and error and failure place could be identified. The social gameplay behavior graph is expected to be the key practical design guideline on whether the level design and balance design are proper.

  • Job and organization analysis of producing institutes is a task that identifies the history of transition and major business functions for various record-producing institutions and must be performed in common within the archives, and many workers must jointly refer to the relevant knowledge. However, in the field, a limited number of people in charge are individually performing by manual work, and the results are not shared. Therefore, this study aims to reduce the work burden of workers through the automation of the job and organization analysis process and build basic resources that can be commonly used by the archives. This study subdivided the task of job and organization analysis into manual, semi-automation, and automation parts by performing FGI with the practitioner of the archive and suggested ways to realize it. In addition, we derive the basic analysis data that can be commonly referenced in the electronic records management process, and by verifying the results through practitioners, efficient use of knowledge resources is suggested. Furthermore, by establishing a standardized work process, we intend to lay the foundation to support consistent and systematic work performance.
