Control of the Third Harmonics Injected PWM Inverter in Over Modulation Mode (과변조 영역에서의 3고조파 주입형 PWM 인버터 제어)

  • A method to control the inverter output voltage lineally in over modulation mode of the third harmonics injected PWM inverter is proposed. The third harmonics injected PWM has a extended linear region compared with the sine PWM. But it still has a maximum voltage about 90% compared with the six step inverter. Therefore, to control the output voltage linearly in over modulation mode, analyzing the relationship between the modulation index and the peak of the fundamental component of the modified reference voltage, we can settle the problem in over modulation mode without iteration. Then we can increase the maximum fundamental component of the third harmonics injected PWM inverter comparative to six-step inverter continuously in over modulation mode. The simulation results of the inverter-induction motor system shows the validity of this method and experimental results prove it.

  • 철도용 전동기는 작은 크기와 중량에 비해 큰 추진력(토크)을 필요로 하지만, 전철의 입력전원 시스템의 특유한 성질로 입력전압이 주기적으로 부족하다. 따라서 전압이용률을 최대화할 수 있는 과변조 PWM이 필요하다. 또 철도용 IGBT 인버터의 스위칭 주파수는 기존의 GTO인버터보다 2배 이상 크므로 철도용 IGBT 인버터 전용의 새로운 동기화 전략이 필요하다. 본 논문은 'Min/Max PWM'을 과변조 영역으로 선형 확장하는 과변조 PWM기법과 최적 동기화법을 혼합한 철도용 IGBT 인버터를 위한 최적 PWM 전략을 제안한다. 전동기-관성부하 모델을 대상으로 시뮬레이션한 결과와 축소모델 실험 결과는 본 전략이 타당함을 보여준다.

  • Digital watermarking has been proposed for copyright protection of digital data. According to the property of an embedded watermark, it is classified into two categories, robust watermarking and fragile watermarking. The former is used for copyright protection, and the latter applies to the authentication/integrity to verify the authenticity of data, If an Image has been modified or forged. the embedded watermark cannot be extracted from the Image. As a results, it is possible to defect the modification of the image. As pixels are represented by tilts, the modification of bits corresponds to the alteration of the image. In this paper, a new fragile watermarking is proposed In which two watermarks are embedded in order to detect some modification occurred In high and low bit Planes. From simulation results, the embedded watermark is Invisible in a watermarked image and we can locale some Places where the modification occurring

  • 점차 사용 가능한 대역이 포화됨에 따라 이미 할당된 스펙트럼 자원을 효율적으로 공유하고자 하는 무선인지(cognitive radio) 기술이 대역포화 문제를 해결할 수 있는 주요한 기술로 등장하고있다. 이 원고에서는 광대역 무선인지 기술에 필요한 물리계층에서의 필요조건을 살펴보고 이에 적합한 변조방식에 대해 살펴본다. 특히 광대역 무선인지 기술에 필요한 유연성을 제공할 수 있고 인접채널 간섭을 크게 감소시킬 수 있는 웨이블릿 패킷 변조(wavelet packet modulation: WPM) 기술에 대해 소개한다.

  • In this paper, a novel overmodulation strategy for PWM inverters to extend linearity region is presented. The proposed strategy uses the concept of space-vector PWM(SVPWM) based on the zero sequence signal(offset voltage) injection principle. So, by modifying the pole voltage simply, the linear control of inverter output voltage over the whole overmodulation range can be achieved easily. The proposed strategy is so simple that its practical implementation is easy. The validity of the proposed strategy is confirmed by the experimental results.

  • This paper proposes an overmodulation strategy for space-vector PWM(SVPWM). The overmodulation strategy increases a fundamental output voltage and improves a voltage utilization up to the maximum in the overmodulation region. To maintain a linearity of the relation between a reference voltage and a fundamental output voltage, this paper suggests a compensation voltage, whose magnitude or phase is modified to the proposed control scheme. The practical implementation is simple and it is applied to improve an output voltage of SVPWM controlled AC Motor in the steady-state. The characteristic of the proposed strategy is confirmed by simulations and experiments for a V/F control of a induction motor.

  • This paper presents a carrier-based modulation method for the control of a matrix converter. By using the offset voltage and changing the slope of the carrier, it is possible to synthesize sinusoidal input currents with unity power factor and the desired output voltages. The proposed method is equivalent to the so called SVPWM (Space Vector PWM) method, but its implementation is much easier. Moreover, the proposed method is very attractive because it is possible to apply the 2 phase t 3 phase modulation method, overmodulation method and other methods which are well-developed in the study of voltage source inverters (VSI) to the matrix coverter modulation. The feasibility of the proposed modulation method has been verified by computer simulation and experimental results.

  • Multi-level holographic data storage requires modulation codes for avoiding two dimensional inter-symbol interference (2D-ISI). Modulation codes can remove the fatal ISI pattern of neighboring the largest and the smallest symbols. In this paper, we propose a 4-level 4/6 modulation code and its trellis encoding for error correction. The proposed 4/6 modulation code prevents that the symbol 0 and 3 are not adjacent in any direction. Also, we compare the proposed modulation code with the same code rate modulation codes for four-level holographic data storage.

  • 직접 변조 방식(direct modulation)을 사용한 Modular Multilevel Converter(MMC)의 6개의 암 캐패시터 전압의 자연균형화(Natural Balancing) 현상은 여러 연구 및 실험에서 관측되고 있다. 또한, 이러한 현상의 원리뿐만 아니라, 시스템 파라미터와 밸런싱 동특성사이의 관계가 수학적인 분석을 통하여 검증되었다. 직접 변조 방식은 간접 변조 방식(indirect modulation)과 달리, 입/출력 AC 및 DC 측 제어기 외에 암 캐패시터 전압 밸런싱을 위한 순환전류 제어기가 존재하지 않지만, 캐패시터 맥동 저감을 위해 일반적으로 캐패시터 2 고조파 맥동 제어기를 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 직접 변조방식을 사용한 MMC의 2고조파 전압 맥동 제어기가 암 캐패시터 전압 자연 밸런싱에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고 분석한다. 또한, 2 고조파 전압 맥동 제어기의 유무에 따른 전압 자연 밸런싱의 동특성에 대한 비교를 400MW MMC full-scale 시뮬레이션을 통해 살펴보도록 한다.
