A Activation Function Selection of CNN for Inductive Motor Static Fault Diagnosis (유도전동기의 고정자 고장 진단을 위한 CNN의 활성화 함수 선정)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient CNN application method by analyzing the effect of activation function on the failure diagnosis of the inductive motor stator. Generally, the main purpose of the inductive motor stator failure diagnosis is to prevent the failure by rapidly diagnosing the minute turn short. In the application of activation function, experiments show that the Sigmoid function is 23.23% more useful in accuracy of diagnosis than the ReLu function, although it is shown that ReLu has superiority in overall fixer failure in utilizing the activation function.

  • In this paper, we developed the ice machine conditions monitoring system that confirms conditions of the ice machine. The developed system is composed of Communication Board, Server Program, and Web-based User Application. Communication Board which is connected to the ice machine periodically sends various data, such as current, voltage, the refrigerant pressure and temperature, the external temperature and humidity. Server Program stores the data received from Communication Board into database. The manager or the ice machine operator can see the state of the own machine through User Application based on Web. When a symptom is detected on the ice machine, the manager and the operator can checks the current condition of the ice machine by using the data obtained in real time and also prevents the machine troubles by taking proper actions.

  • Major causes of industrial accidents include falls and gas leak. The existing safety helmet and smart device combination products are focused on convenience, so the functions to prevent such accidents are insufficient. We developed a smart helmet focusing on fall accident detection and gas leak detection. We also developed management system to manage workers efficiently. Its core function is to detect dangerous conditions of employees, to communicate with managers and to confirm the situations of workers. The effectiveness of the combustible gas measurement capability was verified through experiments. However, since a significant amount of power consumption is founded due to continuous operation of the board and the sensor, countermeasures such as replacing with a large capacity battery are required.

  • This study has its purpose of researching on the relevant variables which affect the attitude toward engineering science and brain dominance for the department of engineering students. The results of this study are as follows: First, the department of engineering students' attitude toward engineering science has shown the order of cognitive element (3.73), definitional element (3.05) and behavioral element (2.86), and in the actual context it is considered that it is necessary to establish a teaching-learning strategy which can reinforce the behavioral elements such as experiments and practices as well as can improve engineering-related cognitive ability. Second, the attitudes toward engineering science according to their brain dominance thinking (Type A: analyst, Type B: Administrator, Type C: Cooperator, and Type D: Jointer) have no significant difference, but the students of Type A who have the characteristics of 7 analyzing thinking have shown high academic accomplishment. Based on these results of study, it is necessary to make a change of the current teaching-learning stratery in accordance with the types of thinking of the students from the teaching-learning perspective. In particular, in order to develop the weak dominance properties and thinking type of individual learners, the change in teacher's recognition that the teacher's teaching-learning strategy and practice is important has to take precedence.

  • In the 21st century, university education is changing from an objective knowledge and information to critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Moreover, university education should change rapidly towards a learner-centered educational environment because it has an educational goal to have college students experience authentic tasks they will be in charge of after graduation, and improves self-directed learning ability and cooperative learning ability. PBL is a pedagogical strategy for posing significant, contextualized, real world situations, and providing resources, guidance, and instruction to learners as they develop content knowledge and problem-solving skills. In problem based learning, the students collaborate to study the issues of a problem as they strive to create viable solution. For these advantages of PBL, the application of PBL in school has been enlarged. On the other hand, the application of PBL in engineering education has not been enlarged. To improve these instruction methods, the development or applications of new instructional methods will be needed. This study examined the PBL instructional design of a creative engineering design subject, which aims to foster talent. The PBL model developed in this study consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. A plan of creative engineering design subject was developed based on PBL, and focused on the process of PBL. To determine the effects of this model, studies applying this instructional design to many lecturers should be implemented.

Biopolyrner Production of Zoogloea ramigera in Batch, Fed-Batch and Continuous Culture Processes (Zoogloea ramigera의 회분식, 유가배양, 연속배양에 의한 생물고분자 생산)

  • Zoogloea ramigera 115 was selected for the production of viscous microbial polysaccharide for bioflocculants usage. Batch, fed-batch, and continuous culture processes were examined with regard to the high biopolymer production. Several carbon sources were tested, including glucose, lactose, molasses, and cheese whey. The C/N ratio of 90 was most effective for biopolymer production from glucose, while the C/N ratios of 30 for lactose and 60 for both molasses and cheese whey substrate gave a maximum production. Fed batch culture proved more effective to increase final biopolymer concentration than batch culture. Continuous fermentation with two stages modifying C/N ratio increased the productivity. The production rates were a maximum at dilution rate of 0.048 $hr^{-1}$ for molasses and at 0.096 $hr^{-1}$for cheese whey.

  • 학술정보 분석 서비스는 학술정보 온톨로지를 사용하여 연구과제의 심사자 선정과 연구자의 연구성과 분석에 필요한 정보를 제공해 주는 서비스이다. 연구과제의 심사자 추천 서비스에서는 피심사자와 심사자의 관계, 평가자의 전문도 및 전문 분야가 사용되며, 연구성과 분석 서비스에서는 분야별/기관별 연구성과물 현황, 분야별 전문가 현황, 연구자 네트워크 등이 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 학술정보 분석 서비스를 제공하기 위해 학술정보를 온톨로지로 구축하였고, OntoFrame 기반의 추론 시스템을 적용하여 학술정보를 저장 및 확장한 후 심사자 추천 서비스와 연구성과 분석 서비스에 필요한 정보를 제공하였다. 이 논문에서는 학술정보 온톨로지의 구성과 OntoFrame 기반의 학술정보 시스템의 구성 및 서비스 방법을 제시하였고, 이를 통해 효과적인 학술정보 분석 서비스를 제공하였다.

  • 인터넷 쇼핑몰을 이용하는 구매자의 상품 구매를 돕는 방법으로 가격 비교 서비스가 가장 많이 이용되고 있다. 가격비교 서비스는 구매자가 구매할 상품을 이피 결정했다고 가정하고 동일 상품을 판매하는 사이트들의 가격과 서비스 정보를 비교하여 구매자치 구매 결정에 많은 도움을 주고 있다. 가격 비교 서비스는 구매자에게 인터넷 쇼핑몰 사이트에서 판매되는 수많은 상품 중 어떤 상품을 선택할 지에 대한 고민을 해결해 주지는 못하고 있다. 구매자가 구매할 상품을 결정하지 못했을 때, 상품의 선택을 도울 수 있는 방법은 서로 다른 상품 모델에 대한 기능적 차이를 비교할 수 있도록 해주어야 한다. 상품에 대한 기능의 차이점은 상품의 상세 정보를 통해서 파악이 가능하다. 따라서 상품의 상세 정보를 구매자가 한눈에 파악할 수 있도록 제공하는 것은 상품을 선택하는데 매우 중요한 요소이다. 각 상품의 상세 정보는 구매자에게 해당 상품이 어떤 기능을 가지고 있는지 보기 쉽게 기술되어 있지만 다른 상품과는 기능을 설명하는 순서가 다르거나 사용한 용어 및 단위 표현에 같은 의미의 다른 표현 방식을 사용하기도 한다. 본 논문은 상품들의 기능적인 차이점을 파악하는 것을 도울 수 있도록 하기 위해서, 개별 상품에 대해서는 상품의 상세 정보가 보기 쉽게 기술되었다는 점을 이용하여 상품의 상세 정보로부터 상품의 정보를 추출한다. 추출된 정보는 상품을 구성하는 기능 계층 정보를 이용하여 각 상품들의 기능과 기능에 대한 설명을 일치시키는 방법을 제안한다.

  • With the recent increase in interest in metaverse in which virtual and physical spaces are digitally fused, many activities in physical spaces are expected to take place in web-based virtual spaces. Therefore, there is a need for research on a self-sovereign identity system that can secure privacy and mutual trust in a DID(decentralized identifier)-based virtual space environment. We, in this paper, developed and validated a reliable communication method consisting of DIDComm messages, a procedure for generating distributed identifiers, asymmetric keys, and DID documents based on Hyperledger Indy and DIDComm open sources. The developed communication method can be applied to verify each other by exchanging additional information and verifiable credentials for trust among communication participants.

A study on the detection of pedestrians in crosswalks using multi-spectrum (다중스펙트럼을 이용한 횡단보도 보행자 검지에 관한 연구)

  • The use of multi-spectral cameras is essential for day and night pedestrian detection. In this paper, a color camera and a thermal imaging infrared camera were used to detect pedestrians near a crosswalk for 24 hours at an intersection with a high risk of traffic accidents. For pedestrian detection, the YOLOv5 object detector was used, and the detection performance was improved by using color images and thermal images at the same time. The proposed system showed a high performance of 0.940 mAP in the day/night multi-spectral (color and thermal image) pedestrian dataset obtained from the actual crosswalk site.
