  • This study examined effects of the communication accompanied with music therapy on the anxiety of patients during a MRI examination. In the experiment group consisting of thirty patients and the control group consisting of thirty patients, the experiment was performed from February 1st 2014 to March 31st 2014 in hospital C located in Daegu Korea. The research design was a non-equivalent control group quasi-experimental study. The results showed that the anxiety score (VAS score) on communication with music therapy of the experimental group was significantly lower (p=.001), than that of the control group. Among the vital signs, the blood pressure was similar in both groups. On the other hand, the pulse rate of the experiment group was significantly lower (p=.001). Four categories of the physical discomfort (perspiration, facial change, change in physical posture, and change in vocal sound) did not show any statistically significant difference between the control and experiment group. Among the mental discomforts, dizziness did not have a significant difference between the experiment group and the control group, but the experimental group had significantly low fear (p=.001) and anxiety (p=.001). From the above results, communication accompanying music therapy proves is an effective alternative examination method that reduces the anxiety of patients.

  • This study is a research based on the non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design whose purpose is to examine the effects of music therapy on the anxiety of patients who take the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) test and their feeling of discomfort during the test. "The first hypothesis that the experimental group who receive music therapy will be lower in score for anxiety during the MRI test than the control group who do not was supported because after the therapy, the experimental group was found significantly decreased in that score in comparison to the control group. "The second hypothesis that the experimental group who receive music therapy will be fewer in vital signs after the MRI test than the control group who do not" was rejected in terms of both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. But the same hypothesis was partially supported because the two groups showed a significant difference in pulse rate after the test. "The third hypothesis that the experimental group who receive music therapy will be less in the feeling of subjective discomfort during the MRI test than the control group who do not" was verified to find that the two groups were significantly different from each other in the feeling. Specifically, there was a significant difference between the two groups in only one sub-area of that feeling, that is, tension. These findings suggest that music therapy could be an alternative method which can effectively reduce the state anxiety of patients during the magnetic resonace imaging(MRI) test.

  • Purpose: This research was conducted to determine the effects of a multifactorial fall prevention program applying HSEP(Home Support Exercise Program) on physical balance and gait, leg strength, fear of falling and falls efficacy of the community-dwelling elderly. Method: The design of this study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. There were 20 subjects in the experimental group and 21 in the control group. The fall prevention program consists of HSEP and fall related education. The intervention was performed for once a week in the senior citizen center and twice a week at home for 8 weeks. Results: There were significant differences in physical balance and gait, leg strength(hip extensor, hip flexor, knee flexor, ankle plantarflexor, ankle dorsiflexor) and falls efficacy between the experimental group and control group. Conclusion : The fall prevention program applying HSEP used in this study was very effective in increasing physical balance and gait, leg strength and falls efficacy. Finally this study would recommended that a fall prevention program applying HSEP should be extended to community facilities such as elderly welfare center and nursing home.

  • Falls are one of the most serious problem that threatens the health of the elderly. This study was conducted twice a week for six weeks from May to June 2014 to evaluate the effectiveness of fall prevention exercises for rural seniors. This study analyzed the effects by comparing before and after exercise on the TUG, FRT, BBS, ADL, fear of falls, fall efficacy, and depression. The results of this study was as follows: Hypothesis1, "a TUG of post-test will improve more than the pre-test", was supported. Hypothesis3, "BBS of the post-test would improve more than the pre-test" was supported. In addition, the FRT, ADL, fear of fall, fall efficacy, and depression of post-test would improve more than the pre-test. Accordingly this study showed that fall prevention exercises are effective in improving the physical function (TUG, FRT, BBS, and ADL) and emotional function (fear of fall, fall efficacy, and depression) in rural seniors.

  • The purpose of the study was to validate the Korean version of the Heterophobia Scale for Gay Male (HGM). Heterophobia refers to the rejection, fear, and avoidance that sexual minorities feel against of heterosexuals. The three subscales of HGM assesses the unease/avoidance, disconnectedness, and expected rejection fromwith heterosexual male. To validate the Korean HGM, item translation, item analysis, and exploratory factor analysis were conducted. From the Using exploratory factor analysis of the Korean version of the HGM(N=213), per 13 items, a 3-factor model consisting of 13 items wereas determined. The Cconfirmatory factor analysis supported the goodness of fit of the 3-factor structure of the K-HGM (N=153) and showed adequate model fit, K-HGM showed adequate the internal consistency, convergent validity, discriminant validity and Criterion validity was good with other related scales (K-SOMS, K-MISS-G, SDS-9, and RS). In conclusion, the K-HGM is a valid measure of heterophobia for gay male within the Korean population. Based on the findings, implications, practical use, limitations, and suggestions for future study are discussed.

  • Preventive measures and control over cyber terrorism in Korea is a complex problem. Today laws should meet requirements made by modern technologies development, Law enforcement, special services and judicial system cooperation, their efforts coordination and their material security are priority directions, None of the country is able to prevent cyber terror independently and international cooperation in this field is vital. Taking the above into consideration, we propose and inisit that National Intelligence Service(NIS) should share cyber terror data with Police Agency and have top police authority over the cyber terror.

  • To improve the sense of unity between game players and game world avatars, we propose a method to measure game player's physical status and manipulate game character appearances and behavior using the measurements. To measure the status, we implemented a hardware module that perceive the body temperature. We implemented a 3D horror game whose game space is a common subway space ordinarily encountered in daily life so that ordinary people can easily get used to the game environment. The experiments of applying the measurement data from the game player to the game world avatar shows that the player's physical status can be effectively utilized to improve the sense of reality in gameplay.

  • It is sharply decreasing from several hundred[lx] to 1.0[lx] when it turn on the emergency lamps. The sharply decreasing illuminance makes peoples to have dark adaptation for long time. And they were with fear and confused. It also causes secondary accidents by people who take a mistake. This paper studied the combination style emergency lighting fixture to improve a problem of dark adaptations. But it was made an assumption that same conditions of battery capacity and a number of emergency lamps.
